Reviewed Apr 16, 2026Goede locatie: op loopafstand van het station en alle leuke restaurantjes in West central district. Fijn dat er een algemene ruimte is waar je gebruik van kunt maken. De eigenaar is ontzettend aardig en enthousiast. Hij nam ons direct mee naar 2 restaurants om ons verschillende gerechten te laten proeven. Ook kregen we veel tips van hem voor goede restaurants. Dankzij hem hebben we ontzettend lekker gegeten in Tainan!
De kamer was een enorme tegenvaller. Er was geen daglicht, alleen een raam naar de gang. Dit stond niet duidelijk in de omschrijving. Het gaf een heel benauwd gevoel. De lakens waren van synthetisch materiaal, waardoor het erg zweterig voelde in bed. Het huis is gehorig, als er een kamerdeur open of dicht gaat hoort iedereen dat.

The hostel is well-equipped, with thoughtful amenities like a TV, coffee maker, and tea (though I didn’t get a chance to try it since I was out exploring most of the time). The host was exceptionally kind and responsive — always quick to answer any questions and very generous in sharing local tips on food and attractions. Overall, it was a great stay. I highly recommend it!

We knew all the food spots and all the things to see which was great. Our room was very comfortable , and felt like we were back at home in the UK, all the facilities you could need , great shower.

There was a leak from the ceiling, dripping on the floor next to the bed, when I told the owner he told me that it has been there for a couple of weeks and it will be fixed later. It was dripping next to my face when laying in the bed. We were not offered another room not where we given any type of discount for putting up with the leak… The bathroom was quite dirty.

He gave us many recommendations for places to eat and greeted us with some cold drinks as he knew that we came by bicycle and it was a very hot day - it's the small things! We stayed 3 nights in the guesthouse and really enjoyed our time there. Since it was very hot we spent much time inside during the day. The common area has everything one can wish for - games, TV, coffee... :) it's a 100 percent recommendation!

Reviewed Dec 21, 2023Allen is super welcoming and has a great list of places to see & eat around Tainan. Nice place with a nice living room and 2 bathrooms. We were able to fit our 2 bicycles near the stairs for security at night.
Beds are very soft, woke up with bad back. A hanger would be nice to dry clothes as there is not outside space.
