We travelled as a family of 4 with kids aged 5 & 7. This hotel is absolutely ideal for kids. The little touches show that they have thought about making this a great stay for children & parents alike. A short walk into fisherman’s village, 2 lovely pools and a nice kids activity centre.

Wij hadden dit resort geboekt met het idee dat het geschikt was voor kinderen. Dat klopt ook wel: kinderen tot een jaar of 4/5. Maar ouder zeker niet. Op foto's lijkt het resort geweldig. De fotograaf mogen ze een lintje geven. Het is een megaklein resort, de kamers zijn oud, vies en kapot. De schuifdeur sloot niet goed, de bedden waren slecht etc. Er zou een 'mini zoo' zijn: daar is een schildpad met een hek eromheen, trampoline is er niet meer want daar konden kinderen vanaf vallen etc. De schommel is voor peuters. Schoonmaak komt maar om de 3 dagen en het was ontbijt slecht. Na een rondreis van een maand door Thailand is dit by far het slechtste hotel waar we zijn geweest. We hebben dezelfde avond besloten om de volgende dag te vertrekken omdat het echt niet overeenkwam met de foto's en de beschrijving. Door te annuleren moesten we 50% van de factuur betalen voor 1 nacht. De manager wilde ons op geen enkele manier tegemoetkomen ondanks de misleidende en foutieve info. Het was een vervelende, nare ervaring als einde van onze vakantie.

Very family friendly, and great location

The location was perfect

The noise from the construction behind our room all day from 08:00 till 18:00, even on the weekends. Unfortunately there were no other rooms free, and the manager didn’t agree to give us refund so we had to stay . Also , there should be some cleaning after 3 days but we didn’t have anyone cleaning our room replacing the garbage or changing towels.

We had a great time at Maya Resort. Perfect for families, our daughters took advantage of most activities that were offered by the resort (e.g., kids' karaoke, movie night, hair braiding). There are a bunch of electric cars you can stroll around the property, and bikes. The two pools are also great; hardly any people use them, and most of the time we had them for ourselves. As a side note, in case you need medical assistance, I can only recommend Wattanapat Hospital Samui, a 5-minute drive away from the resort; one of my daughters got gastroenteritis, and we were in and out in 2 hours with diagnosis, treatment, and medication.

Als ik een kind was zou ik het geweldig vinden om daar te mogen logeren! Onze kinderen zijn al ouder en er was allen maar een mee naar Maya resort. Als volwassenen genoten we gewoon aan de spellende kinderen. Bij vroeg vertrek kregen we opk heerlijke tosti’s en fruit mee! Het was super lief. Ik zou dit resort altijd aanraden!

יש במלון ג׳ימבורי לילדים היינו עם תינוקת בת שנה וזה היה מושלם בשבילה, היתה נני במתחם ששיחקה איתה. הצוות היה מאוד נמרץ לעזור, המיקום היה ממש על השוק של כפר הדייגים.

ניקו לנו את החדר רק פעם אחת בכל השהות זה היה קצת מבאס, וגם הבריכה היתה מלאה בזבובים צפים והרגשנו גירודים אחרי השהייה במים

Het Maya resort is echt een hele fijne plek, vooral voor kinderen. Het heeft twee zwembaden, er staan overal steppen, fietsen en auto’s waar de kinderen mee kunnen rijden. Er is een speelkamer, waar je als ouders ook aan een bar eten en drinken kan bestellen. Er zijn verschillende activiteiten voor kinderen, zoals knutselen, spelletjes en karaoke. Het zijn mooie huisjes, comfortabele bedden, met een keuken met een watertank waar je altijd schoon water uit kan halen. Aan de overkant zit een Tops en 7/11, een kleine foodmarkt (heel goed eten) en Fishermans village is op loopafstand. Het personeel is echt ontzettend vriendelijk.

Wij hebben best een hoge prijs betaald, ondanks alle fantastische punten is het in vergelijking met wat we voor de rest in Thailand hebben betaald best veel geld.

We just wrapped up 10 wonderful nights at Maya Resort, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was incredibly peaceful and laid-back, exactly the kind of escape our family needed. The food and drinks were delicious, the vibes were genuinely chill, and the entire staff went above and beyond with their warmth and friendliness. What stood out most for us as a family was the kids' club and play space, the staff there were attentive and caring, and our kids fit right in and had an absolute blast. As parents, that peace of mind is priceless. The location is also a huge plus, literally a 2-minute walk to the Fisherman's Market, 7-11 and more, with so much to explore around the area. There was never a dull moment. Overall, we enjoyed every single minute of our stay and can't wait to return. Highly recommend Maya Resort to anyone looking for a beautiful, family-friendly retreat with great food, genuine hospitality, and a relaxed atmosphere. 🌴

Great location, super convenient for families.

Понравился персонал, няни, наличие игрушек для детей, бассейны чистые, завтраки неплохие. В домиках есть все для удобства.

Очень шумно, был постоянный шум от стройки и ночной жизни. Постоянно просыпались от звуков молотка или дрели. Нет москитных сеток, поэтому невозможно открыть окно, спертый воздух из-за этого. Расположение ок, если хотите часто ходить на рынок, но на ближайшем пляже невозможно купаться, вода грязная.

Die Unterkunft ist super gelegen. Spielsachen für die Kinder. Und der Kids Club

Wir fanden den Preis einfach zu viel für das was geboten worden. Die Zimmer waren nicht wirklich schön. Der Schrank war halb lose. Der Waschbecken Unterschrank ging gar nicht mehr auf. Schimmel unter der Babywanne. 30 Mücken im Zimmer die wir erstmal vernichten mussten. Jedes Zimmer hatte ein fliegen Gitter vor der Türe außer wir. Reinigung alle 3 Tage. Ansonsten extra zu zahlen. Personal war super. Bis auf 2-3 Personen wo man sich halt nicht wirklich wohl gefühlt halt.

EVERYTHING WAS PERFRCT The place is super fit for families, but yet it is not big and gigantic like other resorts. Just feels like a big family.

The fact I had to leave.

Warning ⚠️ if you have kids they will not want to leave the resort. Mine are 7 and 4. In the morning they had a lot of fun at the indoor play area in the restaurant. At 9 when the activities club opened they wanted to stay there all day. When I dragged them to the beach, they wanted to return to the hotel and play haha. It was amazing for them. The pool was right outside our room, I could supervise the children from our window easily. They had a turtle, strollers etc. Breakfast was also delicious. This is just a 2 minutes walk from the fisherman village, chewang beach is around 15 minutes away. Also, 7/11 and tops are opposite the resort. To the left is a small market with cheap and delicious food stalls every evening.

Bathroom was a little small but there were no issues. One day after a storm there were electricity issues but the staff was extremely kind and helpful and it resolved soon.

Location 100/100, located 2min walk from Fisherman Village walking street, just across the street 7 Eleven and Tops Daily that are open 24/7, plenty of parking, 5 min drive from pier to Koh Tao and Koh Phangan. The best staff, kind and helpful, well maintained, nice kids activities, nice kids playing area, huge grass area to play on, 2 pools, a lot of sitting areas. I’ve been to Holiday Inn (which is rated for kids, and liked Maya Resort way more).

Lovely manager and front desk staff who were so helpful and kind. The rooms are very clean and have a nice small kitchenette which is great. The pool is great.

This resort seems to have stopped making an effort in terms of facilities which seemed run down, nothing for kids who were not toddlers to do- e.g some scooters that were broken, no play equipment (said the trampoline was gone because it was broken) no floaties for the pool. My kids who were 8 and 9 were bored, however for toddlers the inside play area was fantastic. I would say the grounds need a refresh, they need play equipment for older kids and the absolutely need helmets for the scooters. This place is well suited to families with young children.

The activities for kids were amazing. The soft play was incredible with a free nanny service included and the Nannie’s were lovely. The food was nice. The location was great. The two pools were perfect. Not too many families. Right in fisherman’s village so lots in walking distance

I didn’t like that we couldn’t leave our room key in for the aircon as it was so hot whenever we returned from our outings and it took ages to cool down

Sehr sauber und neuwertig, übersichtlich angelegt, die Lage toll gleich beim fishermens village und gegenüber ein nachtmarkt mit leckerem Essen und Drinks, tolles Appartment mit toller Ausstattung

Wir haben es extra für die Kinder gebucht und waren dann ein wenig enttäuscht, die Poolspielsachen waren größtenteils kaputt oder es haben Teile gefehlt, der Spielplatz outdoor war sehr dürftig, der Indoorspielplatz klein - die Spielgeräte waren top in Ordnung die Spielsachen leider aber auch fast alle kaputt oder die meisten Teile fehlten. Die Anlage ist recht neu daher kein Schatten am Pool, es wurde eine App beworben auf der alles zu sehen sei, leider war da nichts drauf nicht einmal der Wochenplan der Aktivitäten für die Kids. Wir gingen zu Kids Yoga in einen speziellen Raum mitten auf dem Areal, dort wurde ein YouTube Video mit Zeichentrick gestartet, die Betreuerin saß am Rand und klatschte als wir zu Arts and Crafts gingen wurden Stifte und Papier auf Tische gelegt. Wir mussten den Großteil der Filzstifte aussortieren sonst gab es noch ein paar Buntstifte eine Schere und Klebstoff. Die Betreuung entschuldigte sich sie sei nur Aushilfe für 2 Tage. Dann gab es noch den Minizoo mit einer Schildkröte und 2 Igeln wovon nur noch einer da war natürlich versteckt. Füttern nicht gewünscht und streicheln sowieso nicht möglich. Dann lieber kein Minizoo..

Super friendly and helpful staff, calm and quiet location - perfectly situated right outside Fisherman Village (quiet but well connected), lovely lush grounds, good and varied breakfast selection, comfortable rooms and beds, perfect with teenagers too, close to everything you need. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!

Very family oriented, kids loved the stay, the activities, the staff. Great location. Rented car and bike directly from the hotel. Staff was very helpful.

De geur in de badkamer was soms wat minder. Verder niks aan te merken.

We chose this place because we were tired of eating out and wanted a place with a kitchenette including a stove for cooking. The photos of the room we booked specifically showed an electric stove and the facilities list mentioned kitchenette (see attached photos from their page on booking.com). When we entered the room we found out there was no stove . When pointing this out to the staff they simply said “oh, that’s just in the photos. We don’t supply a stove”. When I insisted that this was the reason we chose the place they changed their mind and said they could give us one but for a charge of 500 THB per day. I told them that this was unacceptable and that I want to leave and get a full refund but the lady in charge simply laughed in my face and said that’s not not possible .I then told her I’m going to write to booking.com. We returned to our room and I wrote to customer service . Then, just a few minutes later and before customer service even replied , I received the attached message from the property saying that they had talked to booking.com and that they confirmed that I could leave and get a full refund . I then swiftly found an alternative place , also through booking.com, and in less than half an hour from check in we were out of there . Later in that day I started getting messages from booking.com such as the attached one that the settlement was not reached with the property . Later on they notified me that they are going to “compensate” me as an act good will with 2,490 THB in credits for future bookings (see attached). When asking them again and again what about the booking itself which cost me more than 13,000THB I have been totally ignored by them since . In the meanwhile I have received a message from the property that they have been charged by booking.com the full amount but when asked by me to see proof of such a charge , nothing has been presented. So beware of the property !!!

That they are no less than criminals . That booking.com deserted me at the moment of need.

- kostenloser Trinkwasserautomat auf dem Zimmer  -  2 schöne Pools mit modernen Liege + Sitzmöglichkeiten  -  gutes Frühstück (v.a. für Kinder) (bei uns gab es Buffet für 250 Baht/Erwachsene bzw 200 Baht/Kind - kann auch ala Card bestellen) -  zentrale Lage: 7/11, Tops und the Wave nightmarket direkt gegenüber, Walking street fishermans Village gleich um die Ecke, 15 min zum Flughafen  -  moderne Zimmerausstattung  -  Fahrzeuge für Kinder (Roller, Laufrad) stehen zur Verfügung  -  das Indoor Spielzimmer war das Highlight für meine 4 jährige Tochter. -  verschiedene Aktivitäten für Kinder: malen, Armbänder machen, Filmeabend, Zöpfe flechten usw..  -  schöne gemütliche Gartenanlage  -  in der Küche alles notwendige vorhanden: Spülmittel, Lappen, Handtücher, Geschirr, Besteck, Müslischale, Gläser, Becher, Wasserkocher, Mikrowelle, großer Kühlschrank  -  Rezeption über App sehr schnell und unkompliziert erreichbar (haben Föhn angefordert, da keiner auf dem Zimmer war und Wasserspender ging nicht mehr - in ein paar Minuten war jemand da) -  schwimmring, Luftmatratze, Schwimmwesten und andere Pool Spielsachen vorhanden 

- Personal im Restaurant sehr unaufmerksam (wird nicht abgeräumt usw) - Sauberkeit im Restaurant (Tische und Boden klebrig) - Betten sehr hart - Bad sehr klein - abends sehr Laute Live Musik!! JEDEN ABEND VON 17 - 1 Uhr nachts - Baustelle hinter dem Resort (tagsüber sehr lauter Baulärm) - keine kleinen Handtücher (zum Hände abtrocknen) - leider kein Trampolin vorhanden, obwohl es auf der Werbung beworben wird - Schaukelsitz kaputt, hängt trotzdem am Schaukelgestell obwohl es scharfkantige Teile hat - insgesamt hat der Garten viel mehr Potential. Bis auf die kaputte Schaukel und das Spielzelt (das keiner nutz) keine Outdoor Spielgeräte - fast nur Kindergerichte auf der Speisekarte. Wenig Auswahl für Erwachsene - Terrasse des Zimmers klein und wenig Privatsphäre, Stühle auf Terrasse unbequem - Schimmel am Duschvorhang

Das Maya Resort bietet alles, was man als Familie braucht: von einer Baby Badewanne und einem Hochstuhl im Zimmer bis hin zu Spielzeug am Pool und einem Indoor Spielraum. Das Resort ist direkt am Fishermans Village, direkt gegenüber ist ein schöner Nachtmarkt, der etwas ruhiger ist und somit für Familien auch gut geeignet ist.

Leider war unser Zimmer nicht schallisoliert und wir haben nachts die Musik der angrenzenden Bars und Nachtmärkte bis ca. 2 Uhr gehört. Wer Ruhe sucht, sollte das beachten. Das Frühstück und der Spielraum öffnet erst um 8 Uhr. Wir hatten es nicht gebucht, aber mit unserem Kind, das früh wach ist, hätten wir sehr lange aufs Frühstück warten müssen.

Check in sloot om 1900 uur. Wij waren er 1855 uur vanwege vertraging met de ferry. Geen uitleg, kamer werd gewezen en al het personeel verdween. Wij moesten een ochtend vlucht halen dus kregen geen ontbijt omdat ook in de ochtend de receptie gesloten is. Sleutel maar in de kamer achtergelaten. Veel lawaai van de naastgelegen markt. Beddengoed rook niet fris maar naar bloed. Voor de prijs van 161 euro voor 1 nacht hadden wij iets meer verwacht. Wel perfect voor gezinnen met kleine kinderen

Maya Resort can truly be recommended! This is a quiet and peaceful place where you immediately feel at home and welcome. The resort is perfect for families with small children, with a swimming pool, a large playground, and even a dedicated cinema/disco area for the kids. The child safety gate at the entrance to the resort shows how thoughtfully designed and family-friendly the place really is. The location is also excellent. There is a night market with great food nearby, and both a 7-Eleven and a grocery store right across the road. Fisherman’s Village is just a short walk away, yet the resort itself is located on a quiet street. The staff are absolutely fantastic! The babysitters were wonderful with our 16-month-old son, allowing us to enjoy a peaceful coffee while still keeping an eye on him. The rest of the staff are equally friendly and welcoming. Even the gardeners and maintenance staff make you feel welcome. This warm and personal atmosphere is something you rarely experience at larger hotels. Most of the other guests are also families with children, which creates a very safe and relaxed environment and gives the kids plenty of opportunities to play and make new friends. Highly recommended for families with children! 🤩

Super kindgerechte Gestaltung, sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, die alles ermöglichen wollen, sehr gepflegte Anlage und Apartments.

Leider nicht direkt am Strand, dafür kann das Hotel jedoch nichts, von daher meckern auf hohem Niveau. Vorhänge bzw. Fenster müssten mehr verdunkelt werden können. Kinder schlafen meist nicht ein, wenn es zu hell ist.

We had the villa with a pool, which was perfect for our family with 2 boys. Great location to fisherman’s wharf and the local amenities.

Recommend better breakfast selection, maybe a tea/coffee machine so you don’t have to rely on the waiters.

Great hotel for family’s amazing atmosphere

The small resort was neat, clean, and peaceful. The staff were lovely and friendly. The location was right next to the Fisherman's Village, offering restaurants and night food stalls (Thai massage was a nice bonus there).

The location was far from the beach (swimmable) and the center. The taxi ride was more expensive compared to Bangkok or Krabi; therefore, you would spend more $ on rides, especially traveling with kids.

Super clean, great staff and beautiful . The bed was extra comfy ☺️

The peace and quiet at the resort even though situated not even 100m away from Fisherman's Village. Loved the fact that was very close to 7Eleven, Restaurants, Fisherman's Village and Laundromat. Enjoyed the fact that it was a family resort, where I was staying with my 2x kids aged 13 and 14

Absolutely nothing that I can complain about, I would stay at Maya Resort again if Travelling to Samui with kids.

Perfekt för vår stora familj på 18 personer med barnbarn mellan 3-19 år. Bra personal, rent och snyggt och bra frukost.

Best location

Small friendly resort catering for families with children. The indoor play area was brilliant. We had an Above average sized 3 bedrooms villa.

The private pool was lovely size. The only downside was the 1.60 m depth and with us having toddlers and 3 out of 4 unable to touch the floor, it was unusable.
