We just returned from an incredible stay at the Park Hyatt St. Kitts, and I can't say enough good things about this property. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this was a special place — the grounds were immaculate, every corner beautifully maintained, and the staff made us feel welcome from start to finish. Check-in set the tone for the entire trip. Novellene at the front desk had us checked in quickly and even took a moment to engage with my son, giving him some fish food so he could feed the koi near the lobby. After a 6-hour flight, watching him light up with excitement was exactly what we needed. Breakfast each morning at the Great House was a genuine highlight — fresh, delicious, and something we looked forward to every day. The concierge team was equally wonderful, helping us book golf and pickleball lessons with zero hassle. The Sugar Mill Spa deserves special mention. I had a deep tissue sports massage with Yeshim that was nothing short of transformative — she worked out weeks of tension in my neck and shoulders, and I left feeling like a new person. Our son had an amazing time at the Camp Hyatt kids club at Island Fort, where Kenya took wonderful care of him — he couldn't wait to go back each day. Over at the Recreation hut, CJ was fantastic, helping us with pool floats and patiently guiding us through two pickleball lessons. One moment really stood out: my son lost his bucket hat on day two, and between security and housekeeping, it was found and returned to us that same day — no small feat at a resort this size with so many guests to look after. Park Hyatt St. Kitts is a true gem on the far side of the island. We had a wonderfully relaxing vacation and are already looking forward to going back.
It is ok. If anything I was underwhelmed, but not too many below average items except the dookie on the beach. It is a black-ish sand beach (valcanic) which is kind of neat, but a lot of seaweed which was not good. Our first walk on the beach my wife pointed out some clumps and asked "is that doo doo?" I tried to brush it off to keep everyone happy - "no, everything you see in the ocean is not poop!" The next morning we were swimming in the ocean and there is an unmistakable turd floating in the surf. I think these might be donkey or other animal feces. Anyway. Remember to ask yourself why there aren't a lot of good pictures of the beach - it is not only that there is a lot of seaweed and maybe some poop. There is a great view of Nevis, but the usable beach is small. The pool is nice and pretty great with the Nevis view. The restaurants are expensive and really overpriced for the value. You won't have many alternatives though. They know you are limited and you will be paying a lot even for a simple soda.
This resort is exquisite - pristine, well maintained and beautiful. As top-notch as that is, the staff exceeds that. Everyone we encountered was outstanding and went over and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy.
The location, pool, restaurants, facilities, friendly staff
I would have expected the beach to be better cleaned and suitable for swimming
We have visited this property 3 times in the past 4 years. We previously reviewed the Park Hyatt St Kitts after a prior stay and shared how special and lovely this resort is. So, clearly we feel this is a very special section of paradise. This review is an update on what is new and what is better. Several reviews in past years mentioned issues with service and even food quality at some of the restaurants. The need for some refreshes to the physical property. The inconsistent service. We had seen these issues in the past as well, but none of it was enough to justify avoiding a repeat stay. So, what is the current update. Well, they have clearly done some refreshing but most noticeable is the improvement in service in every area of the hotel. The GM even reached out to us over a minor issue after we left and addressed that issue!! They are on their game and, while there can be lapses, you will also find those at any Ritz or Four Seasons. The food in all 3 restaurants is noticeably better. Actually, the food is quite good. Stone Barn, which used to be a fancy, fixed course tasting restaurant (and not very good at it) that didnt fit the Caribbean, is now a high end steak and seafood restaurant with regular menus and portions, and it shows the care, attention and vision of a true chef. Not a hotel chef, but a restaurant chef. We went twice. Fisherman's Village has always been good and consistent. The Great House, which was noted as very pricey and inconsistent is now solid across the menu...for dinner or breakfast. The landscaping on the property is exquisite as it has been enhanced and grown in over the years. The rooms (we prefer an ocean front suite) are large, private and well appointed. It is like your own private apartment. So, when a hotel tries to do better and achieves that, it is worth calling out. Job well done Park Hyatt St Kitts! On the "still to be done side", the gym (which is a highlight) shows a bit more wear and tear and several of the machines were often out of service. So, they need to address that because this is a capable gym and people will want to use it. Continued property infrastructure maintenance should stay on their radar. Especially with a new Ritz planned for the Island (we are also very loyal Ritz travelers), but based on its location The Ritz will not be able to achieve the cozy privacy of the Park Hyatt. It will likely be large and glitzy, but not beachy. However, it will be a viable competitor. So, the net is that the clear improvement in service and the restaurants, on top of the existing amazing location, access to Nevis and small feel of a beach front resort, makes this a hidden gem worth trying if you are looking to get away and chill. Not many like this. If you want action and endless night life, maybe wait for the Ritz. Highly recommend and we are planning our next trip.
Everything was great, lovely location, staff amazing, the sea food soup was amazing and I really enjoyed the pool also i used the gym was great.
The resort is beautiful and relaxing. The amenities are great. The only down side was that you needed a car if you wanted to go any where or get a taxi. It is out of the way. It is a great place for relaxing. Nevis is right across si you are able to get a water taxi to get you there in about 10 minutes.
The staff were very friendly and supportive. The food was excellent! The environment is quiet and peaceful. It was a relaxing stay. I would recommend fully to anyone wishing to travel to St. Kitts and experience life on the island.
Celebrating my birthday at the Park Hyatt St. Kitts was an incredible experience, largely due to the phenomenal staff. I consistently prioritize staying at Hyatt properties when I travel, and the team at this resort perfectly demonstrated why. The property itself is stunning, but five specific individuals truly went above and beyond to elevate the entire trip. T'Shonda & Michael (Front Desk): From the moment of arrival, T'Shonda and Michael set the tone for the stay. They were incredibly welcoming and efficient, handling every detail with warmth and professionalism. Additionally, their collaboration with my wife on setting up a boat cruise was spot-on and absolutely fantastic. Shermel & Watisha (Fisherman's Village): Dining and relaxing at Fisherman's Village were highlights, entirely thanks to Shermel and Watisha. Shermel is a fantastic bartender who crafts excellent drinks with great energy, and Watisha provided attentive, intuitive service that made every meal there an absolute pleasure. Alson (Bellhop): Alson was outstanding. Not only was he prompt and incredibly helpful with our luggage, but he also went out of his way to give my wife and me a comprehensive, guided tour of the property in a golf cart. He was highly informative, sharing great details about the resort, and always greeted guests with a genuine, welcoming attitude. This team represents the absolute best in hospitality. I highly recommend this property and look forward to returning!
I have been a loyal World of Hyatt Globalist member for years and have always held the Park Hyatt brand close to my heart. That is precisely why I chose St. Kitts to celebrate my wife’s birthday — I trusted the brand to deliver something memorable. Sadly, this stay left us deeply disappointed. From the moment we arrived, small but telling signs emerged — having to ask for the welcome amenities that other guests received proactively, and my wife’s birthday going completely unacknowledged despite being noted twice with the front desk. What made things worse was sustaining a cut from a broken deck board — a safety concern that should never exist at a property of this standard. The Top Golf simulator was non-functional throughout our stay, advertised breakfast items were missing for four consecutive days, and a GoPro camera listed as a resort activity was simply not available. With a heavy heart, we checked out a day early — something I never imagined doing at a Hyatt property. I share this not out of anger, but out of genuine hope that the team takes this feedback seriously. This is a beautiful property with real potential, and I truly hope future guests experience the Park Hyatt magic that I know this brand is capable of delivering.
A great say! Really enjoyed my stay and everything went well. The team at the hotel did everything to make me feel at home.
What a beautiful property! The moment you step on the premises you are immersed into a new world, one that is relaxing and pleasant. The welcome you get makes you know instantly that you will have a hard time leaving. We stayed in the King Suite and it was amazing, very spacious and loved the fact that we could close off the bedroom from the living area where there is a queen sofa bed for our young kids. The staff were always pleasant and friendly and the food was delicious. Highly recommend,
This was by far the BEST vacation we took as a family. It didn’t feel like a trip but a true vacation for everyone, the parents and the kids. Everybody was able to rest, have fun, and find something to do. The kids pool is amazing. My kids enjoyed the kids club. Property is well maintained. If you have an opportunity to stay at the premium suite with the plunge pool, it’s a must. Food is good and fresh. They provided a lovely complimentary chocolate cake with prosecco to celebrate our anniversary. The place is incredibly family friendly. We highly recommend and look forward to returning.
We booked 3 nights at the Park Hyatt St. Kitts, but unfortunately we have been very disappointed with the service and overall experience. We had to call three times just to receive toothbrushes. At the beach, we were told not to use certain chairs, which felt confusing and unwelcoming. When I asked for water, a hotel staff member told me I could get it myself instead of assisting us. Additionally, the beach is dirty, very rocky, and not swimmable at all. The hotel and beach experience are also not as advertised on the website
We did a day pass here while on our cruise and had an amazing experience. The hospitality is wonderful. You cannot beat the captivating views of Nevis from the pool and beach. I have to mention the young lady by the name of Zica that served us while we were there. She made sure to keep our drinks full and has such an amazing personality that added to the experience at the resort.
My wife and I stayed for 6 nights on points ( Great value ) before the change coming up. We stayed in the last full week in April. The resort was relatively quiet. There was a work group there ( that mostly had their own events ) but otherwise not a lot of other people. The resort is isolated on the southern part of island .Taxi rides can be expensive as we chose not to rent a car. Getting to resort from airport was easy as we arranged it through the resort. They had our name on a card as we exited the terminal. That is so helpful especially to a place that we have not been before. Arranged by the hotel it was $60 one way. On way back, we arranged directly with taxi driver we met and it was $40. Nice mark-up for them. However, get used to the inflated prices if you stay here. Once at resort, the service was great. Every single person was so helpful. The resort can be confusing and associates when we were still trying to find our way around would say “ That me show you”. And walk us to location. Alexis at front desk was very helpful at check in/ out. We had breakfast each morning at the Great House. Since we were using a Guest of Honor and had globalist status for week it was included. Great views of the beach and Nevis. Not crowded , but at times food was slow coming out if ordered from menu. The Banana French toast was excellent. Had most mornings. No prices on menu so I can not say how much it would have been. We had no problems getting chairs at beach and seaweed was not bad so was able to enjoy that. The restaurants were very good. We ate at both Fisherman’s Village and Stone Barn. Special thank you to Terrence at Stone Barn for his great service celebrating our anniversary. Another shout out to Theo at Flemings for his great smoothies at breakfast and his rum tasting class. We ate off site at Spice Mill. ( walking distance about 10 minutes ). It was very good. I would make reservations for every dinner. On site and off. For on-site you can do it at the Great House Concierge desk. I would do once you arrive. Thanks Wycliff and Shareef for your help . If you book taxi’s from resort you can charge back to room so you won’t need extra cash for that. Usually same driver takes you back. My wife did the spa and that was underwhelming especially for this type of resort. Premium price for less services. They have a dock right on property and that made it is easy to take ferry ( Very quick )over to Nevis . I would recommend doing that if you get a chance. Pinney’s Beach was great and get a Killer Bee at Sunshine’s if there. We had a great time . Thanks Park Hyatt
Beautiful hotel with high end dining and immaculate service. Beach was unusable due to seaweed. Service was top notch, gym was nice but had many inoperable machines. Room was clean and delivered on luxury promise.
The bathtub flooded the whole bathroom and half of the bedroom with no staff to take care of it promptly. Had to mop the entire floor myself at midnight. Poor hospitality. Service was mediocre, lacking warmth and care, especially in certain restaurants at the property and during the check-out process.
Pretty disappointing to be honest. We were here 2 years ago and it was phenomenal, unfortunately it has really fallen off. During our first trip kids under 5 ate for free, this was a great perk and a significant reason why we returned. At the time of booking this was still their policy, however when we arrived at our first meal the kids meals were included. I asked if this was a mistake the waitress informed me that there was no mistake and that the policy changed about a month ago. I took this to the front desk and told them that it would have been nice for Hyatt to reach out and inform their guests of the policy change. I told them that we should be held with the same policy as the time of booking. They pretty much didn't care and said there's nothing they could do. Although I know it wasn't an intentional bait and switch it sure felt like it. There's virtually no quality assessment at the entire resort. Zero checklist for house keeping, floors not even swept at a beach resort that's charging close to $2000 a night. In the room the screen door was broken, ac was broken (had to keep it on low or it sounded like a helicopter was going to land). There was mold in the bathroom. Just overall far from perfect. I went to the gym, they are missing pedal straps on the bikes, steam room was actually dangerously hot and there was no soap in any of the outdoor showers. I filled out the survey and was met with a generic template response with zero specifics from their "director of rooms." Just a total lack of caring about customer satisfaction. I thought this was going to be a recurring family vacation with my family after our first trip, but after the second I doubt we will ever go back. If they would have made even the smallest effort at all the rectify the experience I probably wouldnt have filled this out, but they left me feeling like the experience we had doesn't matter and that's pretty upsetting.
Park Hyatt St Kitts is exceptional! The property is amazing however the staff is even more impressive that the location. everyone was extremely nice and made us feel above and beyond welcomed for 5 days.
This is a wonderful resort! It is so beautiful, and even at 90+% capacity it never felt crowded. The pools are so large and there were always chairs available. It was unlike other hotels where everyone saves chats at 7 am! The globalist breakfast benefit is wonderful, with access to a great Buffett, and the staff and service are great! We had two different rooms and they were both lovely. We will definitely return!
Look -- it's not terrible, but it is not a luxury property, which was clear from the second we arrived. We had been at the Four Seasons Nevis and decided to add on a couple of nights at the Park Hyatt because why not. None of this is make or break, but it was a bad first impression: When we arrived to check in, there were two big containers of ice water, but no cups. I took my kids to the nearby restroom while my husband checked us in, and it smelled terrible -- we immediately noticed what looked like a clogged or unflushed toilet that must have been left like that for a bit. We then went to the gift shop to kill time and it was basically a small, disheveled walk-in closet with one worker who didn't look up from her phone. Not a great start! We then went to the pool to get lunch -- food was average at best, and service very slow. Then we went to our suite. It was...fine. Definitely not luxury, not even close, but it was clean. The person who checked us in was friendly, otherwise the vibe from the staff was general disinterest. Some pros: We enjoyed the gym and the spa, which weren't busy when we were. Also never had to worry about finding a seat at the pool. Our kids, both under 9, really enjoyed the family pool, which is big and clean and has a mini "beach." Dinner at Fisherman's Village was decent and service was much better than at the other on-property restaurants. The adults-only pool had beautiful views. We booked this on points, so we weren't too upset, but I can't imagine having paid $2k a night for this property. Part of it might be a branding thing -- we have stayed at other Park Hyatts before and this just isn't at that level. Anyway, two nights was def enough and we won't be going back.
If you’re staying for free on points….then maybe stay here. If you’re paying anything close to a normal rate, buyer beware. The beach is unusable due to seaweed. The front desk is dishonest, the concierge is lazy, and housekeeping is barely able to clean the room before turn down service. The view of Nevis is spectacular. The rest is forgettable and that’s probably the nicest thing I can say.
The resort is great!!! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Such a great place to vacation and relax. Beautiful views.
Nice resort. We went with our kids (three kids 5 and under). Although it's a quieter resort and seemed to be geared towards couples, we felt very welcomed with kids. There were multiple other families with young children. The pool and sand area by pool were great. There were floaties and beach toys available to use. The kids club was nice and our kids enjoyed it. The daily breakfast was fantastic. The sea had a seaweed problem when we were there so we did not spend much time at the beach. There is an adult only pool available if you desire. Rooms were clean and very spacious. My family of 5 comfortably stayed in a room with 2 queen beds.
Resort is very beautiful. We enjoyed our stay. As a Globalist the breakfast was very good deal. The beach and pool were nice. The issues we had were with service. It seemed like most requests (and we didn't have that many) we'd have to ask about 4+ times. Things like an extra blanket we never did get after 4 attempts. They need to be better at doing what they said they will do and following up to verify. It was very fustrating for this expensive of a hotel. We did have one significant issue which the manager took care of. He did an excellent job with it and showed what the service level should be for this hotel. Tips & suggestions: We used Tatem's Tours and Taxis to/from hotel. Highly recommended. We also added a stop at grocery store on the way which was very helpful. We prefer small meals/snacks sometimes and this saved us a lot of time and money. We enjoyed walking to Reggae Beach and ate there. Very good food and great price (for St. KItts). Had one meal at Fisherman's Village and really enjoyed it. If you are looking for conch shells, this is your place. Go to Reggae Beach and keep going. It is a little rocky walking but not bad. There were shells everywhere.
The Park Hyatt hotel is a great place for couples or families. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is exceptional and attentive to any and all of your needs. At the pool bar Gleniece and Emily were amazing. Also amazing are the concierge staff, they helped me with all my dinner reservations and transportation. Wyclef and Sharez went above and beyond setting up our nightly itinerary. I highly recommend this property and look forward to visiting again.
Terrible experience from quality to service to amenities. Certainly not at the Park Hyatt level. They ran out of pool towels every day. Insolent services. Housekeeping would fail to restock toilet paper, Kleenex, towels in room each day. Avoid!
5 star pricing 3.5 quality at best. Should be branded as a regular Hyatt. Went there on points 50,000 per night for 626 square foot suite so no complaints. But my suite was $2200 cash pay. Absurd.
Beautiful hotel in a quiet location on the island. Exactly what we wanted. The staff was the friendliest and most helpful we’ve ever experienced.
This is a wonderful and extraordinary resort. TOP notch service, staff, ambiance. Every single staff member was beyond amazing. I just love the locals of St. Kitts. They are beautiful people inside and out.
Had a disappointing experience at Park Hyatt St Kitts. I will start off with the positives: the room was nice, simple, clean and comfortable. The AC worked well, the views from the room was incredible & our daily housekeeping service was consistent. Here are where things left a lot to be desired. Upon arrival, there were no beach towels left at the pool by 3pm. No one seemed able to find more or even tell guests they were working on the issue. Upon discussion with reception/manager- they said they would have extra towels delivered to our room so this wouldn’t happen again, which never arrived. Don’t expect pool chairs set up for you or umbrellas positioned, that requires your own manual labor. We asked for slippers and robes in our room, to which they said they hadn’t received their shipment. We also asked if we could borrow a tote for the beach, but were told that is only for suites. When you pay $1000/night for a basic room- you’d think they’d have enough slippers & beach bag for loan. The concierge made us a reservation for my birthday at Stone Barn- when we showed up, the restaurant was closed and the only other option for dining was at full capacity and could only accommodate us at the bar. The food in the restaurants left a lot to be desired. With all of these issues- the staff were apologetic but made no effort to right the wrongs. This is not the customer service level you’d expect from a 5 star luxury resort. Save your money and go across the way to the Four Seasons where you will almost certainly have a better experience and value for your money.
The staff provided exceptional service during our first-time stay, beginning with a warm check-in and detailed explanation of loyalty benefits. The team at the main restaurant, especially a standout manager and attentive server, ensured magnificent daily breakfasts and dinner, acting with great urgency. Poolside service was equally attentive, with two staff members ensuring hydration and comfort. Another staff member graciously assisted with a dining reservation misunderstanding. (This review is written with names of individuals providing great service excluded.) Arrival: The front desk provided a welcoming check-in, clearly explaining elite benefits, and later followed up to ensure our comfort. Dining: The team at The Great House operated seamlessly, with particular praise for a lead hostess and a dedicated dinner server who made our experiences outstanding. A manager also frequently checked on our satisfaction. Restaurant Support: Special thanks to the rest of the attentive restaurant staff for their consistent service. A host at the Stone Barn venue was accommodating regarding our dining reservation, allowing our family to enjoy the meal. Poolside: Two individuals provided wonderful service at the pool, ensuring we were well-hydrated and attended to during sunny days.
Mistakes were made during check in that significantly delayed the process and there were no considerations made given the fact we were traveling with a 6 month old. Errors in our tabs during breakfast more than once and overall poor service and unwelcoming and unfriendly staff.
Beautiful hotel, spacious rooms (and all have a view of the ocean and volcano). All facilities are immaculately maintained. While the views are stunning, I feel the overall value lags behind the premium price tag. During peak season, rates generally start at $1,300+ per night. I wish there were more daily activities included in the price of the stay, rather the vast majority carried a steep price tag. The service, while pleasant, also needs refinement, for instance, being upsold on drinks while trying to order lunch at the pool bar felt out of place for a five-star experience. Finally, the price of food is quite high on-site and so I expected less mediocre food. The breakfast buffet is particularly weak and if you opt for the "all in" breakfast, ordering off the a-la carte menu is extra which has not been the case at other luxury hotels I've stayed at. What makes it tougher is that there are only 1-2 walkable breakfast/lunch spots and since the hotel is on the southernmost part of the island, it's a $40 taxi to get into town one way. Overall I enjoyed my stay. The seclusion can offer a certain luxe feeling, but there is room for improvement.
My family and I stayed at the Park Hyatt St. Kitts for six nights and had a wonderful experience. The property itself is absolutely beautiful — easily one of the most tranquil resorts we’ve visited. The views, the beach, the peaceful atmosphere, and the quality of the food all make this a very special place to unwind with family. What truly stood out to us, though, was the service. Tashanda and Ikish were exceptional and made our stay even more memorable. They went above and beyond to help us with everything — recommending great food, helping arrange excursions, and making sure our family was comfortable the entire time. One moment that really captured their hospitality: at 12:30 AM my daughter and son were craving ramen, and the team actually brought a microwave to our room so they could make it. It may sound like a small thing, but those are the little gestures that make a hotel stay truly memorable. Coming from a family that has owned, developed, and operated hotels for over 30 years, I tend to notice the details. This property understands that hospitality isn’t just about beautiful buildings — it’s about thoughtful service and genuine care for guests. Park Hyatt St. Kitts delivers both. And honestly… after this stay, I’d love to own one of these someday!
Beautiful property and rooms. Excellent staff. While the beach and ocean at the hotel is not great, the pools are lovely and you can take a short walk to a very nice beach.
The checking-in, food, and service were well below what you would expect from a Hyatt. Was more like a Holiday Inn. So much potential, but so poorly executed. I would not recommend this facility if you want to feel like you are being pampered on a tropical island. However, if you don't mind slow check-ins, poor and snail-paced dining service, and less than average food at a premium price, then perhaps you will find the venue acceptable.
The staff truly made our stay unforgettable! Their attention to detail and the immaculate grounds were a huge plus. The overall atmosphere was serene and relaxing, with a sense of peaceful luxury that made it easy to unwind. Plus, the location made it incredibly convenient to island hop, allowing us to explore nearby destinations effortlessly while still returning to our tranquil retreat each evening.
My husband and I stayed 5 nights at the Park Hyatt St. Kitts. It was our first time on the island, and we couldn't be happier with the staff, the property/room, the food, and the location. Our only negative was the "Best of St. Kitts Tour" that is arranged by the hotel. The staff at this hotel is amazing. Everyone is so helpful and kind. We always felt at home, and had everything we needed. The room was gorgeous. We had a suite upgrade award. Our pool suite was right near the upper infinity pool and overlooked the ocean and nevis. We spent more time on our spacious outdoor deck than anywhere else on the property! The food was wonderful. We ate on the property at Fisherman's twice, with breakfast at the Great House and once with room service. Fisherman's was our favorite food of the trip. Someone made a comment about how expensive breakfast was because of the price of the buffet. Yes, it costs about $65 for 2 entrees and 1 drink (what we had), but the food is of great quality and on the resort. Due to the location of the property there are no other breakfast options without taking a $30 each way cab. The location is at the beautiful serene tip of the island across from Nevis. The view of the ocean can't be beat and a day trip to Nevis is a 5-7 minute water taxi each way. Instead of the hotel shuttle we walked to the pier near Reggie Beach and took the water-taxi. Lastly, the one negative. We expected more from the Best of Kitts tour since it was arranged by the hotel and listed as a paid amenity. The van had holes in the upholstery and there were no seat belts. The driver/guide was a nice man, but didn't provide anything other than at times trivial facts/history. I asked what people on St. Kitts are like, and he answered, "Some have jobs, some do not work.".... I would highly recommend using trip advisor and finding an alternate tour. To end on a high note, we loved this hotel and cherished our time there. We will be back for sure!
An exceptional property with tremendous beauty and attentive staff. Without a doubt, one of the best resorts I have ever been fortunate to visit. I highly recommend for families, couples, and anyone looking to unplug in luxury.
Park Hyatt is THE place to be if you're seeking a relaxing vacation spot in Saint Kitts. The food, the drinks, the service, the facilities, and the accommodations ALL 10/10. Highly recommend visiting and enjoying what the resort has to offer. Leave your sunscreen at home. Sunscreen stations are available throughout the property with fruit infused water stations as well.
If you are considering staying here, it’s important to go in with realistic expectations — because the experience does not match the price point. Let’s start with the most misleading aspect. An “Ocean View” room should, at the very least, offer a clear view of the ocean. The ground-floor rooms simply do not. At best, you get a partial glimpse through landscaping, which feels disingenuous given the premium being charged. This needs to be made explicitly clear at the point of booking — otherwise it borders on mis-selling. Service is the biggest disappointment. There are a few standout individuals, but they are the exception rather than the rule. The general tone from staff is indifferent at best and, at times, outright rude. There is little sense of hospitality; instead, you feel as though you are inconveniencing them. Requests are met with reluctance, and the overall culture seems more about guests fitting into the hotel’s way of operating, rather than the other way around — which is not what you expect at this level. Dining is equally underwhelming. Restaurants closing at 21:30 feels unnecessarily restrictive and out of step with a resort environment. On top of that, there is a persistent sense of being nickel-and-dimed, with additional charges appearing frequently. Basic quality control is also lacking — we were served a bottle of wine that was clearly heat-damaged and past its best, suggesting there is little to no proper cellar management or sommelier oversight. Breakfast is particularly poor. It is disorganised, overcrowded, and under-resourced. With only nine outdoor tables, long waits are inevitable, and even simple items like fresh juice regularly run out before 09:00. It sets a frustrating tone for the day and feels far removed from what should be a relaxed, high-end experience. To be fair, the estate itself is well maintained. The grounds are clean, tidy, and visually appealing, and the jetty is a strong feature — in theory. In practice, even this fell short. We were assured that a return boat would bring us directly back, only to be dropped at Reggae Beach instead and left to arrange a taxi. It’s another example of poor coordination and communication. Overall, this is a property with potential, but it is being let down by weak management, poor service culture, and a lack of attention to detail. At this price level, you expect consistency, professionalism, and a genuine sense of hospitality — none of which are reliably delivered here.
I am not sure if it was just the time of year, but this property was so quiet and felt like such a retreat. There was never a need to reserve chairs by the pool or wait for a restaurant. At some points, it felt like the staff outnumbered the guests. The adults only pool is beautiful and looks over the rest of the property. The staff were incredible and it was evident that training and standardization across the organization is valued. While food is pricey, we did not have a bad meal at the hotel. Would recommend taking a walk down to the reggae beach bar for a fresh lobster as its only a 10 -15 minute walk off property. The rooms are beautiful. Beds are very comfortable and loved being able to walk out a sliding door to our giant porch which looked at the pool. This property is incredible and we definitely felt refreshed after 4 nights. This property lives us to the park hyatt standard.
In general, this was a Park Hyatt that felt like a Grand Hyatt. Nothing terrible-- it just wasn't the right level of luxury for the brand or price. Room was dated and lacked basic amenities like a robe or slippers, or an umbrella for all of the rainy days. Park Hyatts usually do better in the rooms with things like a pillow menu or at least including bath salts for the tubs-- but nothing like that here. Decor was too coastal and not modern like the park hyatts around the world- could really use a renovation. Service was great by some including the bar and pool staff, but others (especially ladies at breakfast) were very dismissive and looked annoyed to be working there or talking to the guests. The VAT + service charge at the spa makes things 30-40% more expensive and those massages all ended with less time than promised. And the service charge doesn't even go to the masseuse, so you have to pay 300+ for a 200 massage for 50 minutes that was actually 45 minutes. Recommend to remove the group service charge on a service where the full tip is expected for a masseuse, and do not short-change the massage if the masseuse arrives late. In general, the experience needs to be elevated if they want to charge bigger park hyatt prices. Or just downgrade the branding to Grand Hyatt and we would arrive with lower expectations.
The location was absolutely stunning!! The rooms were updated and gorgeous, the spa was amazing. However, the staff don't seem to be paid enough because they were not very happy to be there. Maybe a change in upper management or something? The food was sub par at best. The drinks were what you'd expect from Sandals. For the food and drink quality alone, I wouldn't go back. The island was beautiful and so was the location of the hotel.
This is an absolutely stunning property, it is clean, gorgeous, great kids activities and so peaceful and relaxing!
For a resort that is supposed to be five stars, it felt more like 3 stars. My partner and I went for three nights between Christmas and New Years, and given the recent reviews, I can’t tell if this is the new norm for this resort or if it is due to the peak resort timing. The setting of the hotel is beautiful, though it is a good distance away from the main part of the island (about 20+ minutes away). The welcoming we had was very nice with a welcome rum punch and the people checking us in were informative and was able to provide us with an upgrade to an ocean view room due to my Globalist status. This was much appreciated. We ate at all three restaurants for dinner and had the breakfast buffet each morning and ate at pool bar for lunch. They were all good and service was generally good. The room itself was nice but the hotel is definitely showing its wear and tear and could use some refreshing. Other struggling points: -So many other people reviewing have commented how good the services is. In fact, the tagline of the hotel itself is “personalized luxury.” It’s hard to see what part of the resort is personalized luxury. For example, at the pool bar, there were no less than 12 people behind the bar and yet it would take 20 minutes to get a drink. And then a person sitting next to me asked for nachos. She noted that they had chips and salsa on the menu but asked if she could have nachos instead. The response was, “I’m sorry but we can’t do that.” At any other five star resort, the word “no” is typically not in their vocabulary. -Beach Chairs. Anyone that goes on beach vacations knows the struggle of getting beach chairs and the reservation policy. Well at this resort, there is only about 40 beach chairs for a resort of about 125 rooms. Explain to me how there is not enough beach chairs for everyone at the resort such that we do not have to wake up early to get them, especially at this price point. -Beach Service. Continuing with the beach, the service on the beach is nearly non-existent. The sun rises at 6:30am and this resort faces the sunrise, so I was generally up on the early side. I would get to the beach at 8am and the staff was still setting up for the day and no one even asked to set up our chairs for us. While I am more than capable of setting up my own chairs, this to me is unacceptable at a 5 star resort. Overall, this resort was booked on points and I found it to be a good value, especially as a Globalist member. But for a five star beach resort, the Park Hyatt did miss the mark.
We are extremely disappointed with our stay at this Park Hyatt property and do not feel that it delivered the level of quality or service consistent with the Hyatt brand or a 5 star experience. Given that this property is far from all the busy areas such as Basseterre and Frigate Bay you really do feel stuck especially when they don't treat the guest with priority. The rooms were esthetically beautiful but had functional issues. A leak from the pool in the until above unit continuously discharged large volumes of water onto our balcony, our room had a malfunctioning air-conditioning unit and a broken in-room safe. We slept for 2 nights in 16 degrees freezing while continuously complaint to management. Finally they moved us to another room which sucked since we had to repack all our belongings and wait for assistance wasting our entire morning. 2nd room screen door was damaged, allowing bugs, flies, lizards to get in the room whenever the patio door was open so we had to leave door shut which int ideal when on vacation with a balcony. We experienced irregular replenishment of essential amenities, including water, coffee, creamers, and cups and snacks and drinks for purchase throughout the week. This hotel does not have Smart TV's, in-room televisions were outdated, undersized for the rooms, and difficult to program or pair with personal devices to be able to watch Netflix, Youtube etc. The Concierge booked 2 restaurant reservations, when we showed up for both they didn't have or names, we had to wait and ended up with unfavorable seating both times. Management was less than helpful if anything we felt like we were an annoyance and dismissed. The staff at this property are amazing, they are warm, friendly and helpful and I feel bad that they work for this management.
We just completed a Xmas week stay at the PH and had a nice experience. The facilities are modern, the food is pretty solid for an island resort, and the pool /beach setup is great. The feel of the resort was large enough to not feel cramped but small enough that everything is a short walk away. We traveled with two kids under 10. Between the activities on site (non-motarized boats), basketball, water trampoline the top goolf suite) the older one was preoccupied while the younger one appreciated the zero entry pool and Camp Hyatt activities. S’mores at night was a hit too. For Xmas and New Years week there were a number of special options: From kids activities (bingo, pizza making, rock painting, snow globes) to parades to special dinners (some buffets, some plated) with live entertainment essentially every night. Booking these were not a hassle at all. For many you could just show up. Getting a lounge wasn’t hard either. Some families def played the “reserve and dash” game, not show up for hours, if ever, and even so there was a pool or beach chair around A couple of points of prior reviews: 1) There’s ample food options at the hotel and ample off-site in either walking and/or a short car ride away. Our globalist perk helped defray the daily breakfast cost. Shout out to Orchid Bay Restaurant. 2) The basketball hoops are gone from the pool. sorry about that child getting hurt but the hotel did act. 3) The staff is friendly but yes, it doesn’t give you the warm and fuzzies. Most of the weak reviews are re: Globalist dissapointment. I stay in over 100+ Hyatt nights a year (No CC BS status). I was acknowledged at checkin. I got a note and chocolates in my room. I got my free breakfast and a later checkout. It met my expectation. 4) We went to the FS one day. Got a day pass cabana. The place is nice but a completely different vibe then the PH. Pools don’t compare at the FS (Ie better at PH). Beach is bigger but sea water is rougher given location (we think). We enjoyed the PHs beach (particularly the clean water). 5) To take the next level. PH should come around with refreshments at the pool or lite bites. . They should have a pool attendant and beach attendant to help with towels. There’s plenty towels and umbrellas for DIY. They should up their concierge game (in person). We found when we reached out over email or whatsapp they were very good but it was more reactive then proactive. 6) If you do water activities have them pick you up from the PH dock! Jetskiing, parasailing, jet boating. Tubing. It’s all easily accessible with St Kitts Watersports at the beach legitimately 5 min. away.
This hotel is not terrible, but it is absolutely not the Park Hyatt experience you expect at this price point. The level of service consistently missed the mark and felt far closer to a mid-tier brand than a true luxury resort. Service Failures Across the Stay Service was poor, inconsistent, and at times outright unacceptable. • Pool service was unreliable. Servers frequently walked past without stopping, and we often had to flag someone down. It wasn’t unusual to go 1–2 hours without anyone checking on us. • Breakfast & the coffee issue was baffling. On our first morning, I ordered a latte and was told coffee was not included in the Globalist breakfast and would be an additional $11. My fiancé has been a Globalist for years and we have hundreds of Hyatt nights and have never encountered this. The next three mornings, I ordered the exact same latte—and it was included at $0. At checkout, the front desk claimed this was a “new policy” and that the first day was correct while the last three days were a mistake. After multiple requests, a manager finally appeared and refused to comp the $11, telling us we should feel “lucky” the other days were free. Nickeling and diming loyal guests over $11 after spending thousands at the resort is insulting. While waiting for our airport transfer, another guest checking out raised the exact same coffee complaint and said he would be reaching out to corporate about this. Airport Transfer: Misinformation & Dishonesty Our flight departed at 3:25 pm. We requested a 1:30 pm airport transfer, but the front desk insisted we had to leave at 1:00 pm, citing airport staffing shortages and the need to arrive two hours early. We trusted their guidance. At 1:15 pm, we were told our driver was late due to a police checkpoint causing traffic. When the driver arrived at 1:35 pm, she confirmed: • The hotel had actually scheduled her for 1:30 pm (the time we originally requested) • The police checkpoint was on the other side of the island and had nothing to do with her delay We were brought down early for no reason and then explicitly misled about why the driver was late. To make matters worse, another couple on our same flight was also waiting for a transfer. The hotel asked if they could share our van. That was fine—but since we had both paid for private transfers, we reasonably requested a 50% refund of our transfer fee. This was flatly refused. This situation should have been worked out between the hotel and the driver, as the hotel booked the transfers. Guests should not be charged full price for a private service that becomes shared. Food & Room Issues • Food was consistently mediocre for the price—never memorable or worth the cost. • There was some type of animal in the ceiling or vents of our room; we could clearly hear scurrying and animal squeaks overhead. The Good • The scenery is beautiful • The property itself can be relaxing Bottom Line If you’re booking on points, I wouldn’t tell you to cancel—just manage your Park Hyatt expectations. If you’re paying cash, I’d strongly reconsider. The experience simply isn’t worth the price.
We just spent 5 fabulous nights at the Park Hyatt St. Kitts with our 9 and 11 year old kids. The property is just gorgeous. Every step you take is beautiful. We loved watching the monkeys, listening to the birds, sitting at the blue ocean and hanging at the pool. Most of all, we loved the staff! Everyone was exceptionally warm, with the biggest smiles and even knew all of our names. The were so helpful with everything we needed. I also had the best massage of my life at the spa. We can't wait to come back!!
We bought day passes whilst waiting for a flight home and we were really welcomed by the staff. Shout out to Tyrese at the pool bar - so enthusiastic and fun to be served by - and Alexis in reception. You both made all the difference. Thank you
This is a beautifully designed property, vey relaxing and the food is delicious. I can’t imagine a more peaceful and beautiful spot.
This is our fourth trip to PH St Kitts and obviously we love it that we keep returning! We traveled with our 3yo daughter as well as our parents so this was a multi-generational trip - everybody had an amazing time. From the moment you arrive, a weight is lifted off your shoulders and the constant sea breeze through the palm trees ushers in a sense of calm. The staff have become like family to us over the years; we genuinely look forward to seeing T-Shanda and Oral at checkin, Tisah at breakfast, Tasha and Chef Terrance at Fishermans Village for dinner each year! We were in a deluxe plunge pool suite for this stay, which I highly recommend, especially if you have kids in tow - it allows for extra pool time even when the kiddo needs a break. But we've stayed in almost all the room types at this point and none of them disappoint. We've seen the resort evolve over the years and have been happy to see more and more families coming than when it first opened; our daughter easily made friends with others her age at the pool this time and it was so much fun for her! (If you're looking for a quieter day, they also have a huge adults only pool area that is very peaceful, waterfalls drown out the noise of the family pool below). We were very happy to see improvements this year included new towel huts around the pools and beach areas, much nicer cushions for the loungers as well! Lastly, we thoroughly enjoyed the resort's Lobster Fest on Saturday night! Its a bit pricier than the longstanding one at Reggae Beach Bar down the road, but we thought the food was actually much better.
We spent four days with friends at the Park hyatt St. Kitts, and had one of the most memorable vacations of my life. The customer service was way beyond our expectations. Every single staff member we came in contact with was friendly and accommodating, and professional, and went above and beyond. Oral was extremely informative and helpful. The facility itself is beautiful and spread out, so we never felt crowded. The stargazing class is one of the highlights Percival the gentleman who gave the class was so knowledgeable, and I can’t believe how advanced the telescope was that he used. I was joking and calling it the little Hubble. Food was exceptional. We did a cooking class that was extremely enjoyable. We will definitely be back.
We had the most amazing time at the Park Hyatt St Kitts. Beautiful resort and everyone was pleasant and kind. Definitely recommend.
We had a wonderful stay at the park hyatt st kitts The resort is simply beautiful with easy access to the beach and huge infinity pool The food at the restaurants was delicious and well prepared. The chef was happy to accommodate our kosher needs The spa is one of the nicest I've been to and the massage was fabulous The gym was well equipped and open 24 hours The staff is truly amazing! They made sure our every request was met with a smile They made our stay so memorable- we cant wait to go back!
My family just got back from a 5 night stay at the Park Hyatt St. Kitts. I am a Hyatt Globalist, although after this trip, I will be switching my loyalty to Marriott. In summary, the hotel is in a beautiful, picturesque location, and has great potential. The staff are warm and friendly. The management, however, is comedically inept, and it shows in every aspect of the experience. The problems started at check in. I had called the Globalist line to reserve a king suite connected to a double queen room, with a third king room that did not need to be connected. When I arrived, Sheba, at the front desk, informed me there were no king suites that connected to a double queen room, and so I would have to be downgraded to a regular king room that connected to a queen room, while my parents would have the king suite in a separate building. It was odd for the Globalist line to get these details wrong, as they are usually great with details, but I accepted perhaps there was a misunderstanding. Then, to my surprise, I got to the rooms, and found they were not connected like Sheba said. I had to bring all our bags back to reception, where a different front desk associate told me he had no idea what Sheba was talking about, and in fact we had been booked to a king suite connected to a double queen room before Sheba inexplicably removed us. Miscommunication between staff and making silly errors became a theme of the trip. After we got to our correct rooms, the bellman informed us we could set the main door to the two rooms to lock, and open the individual doors. In essence, we walked through one door, and then had doors on the right and the left to enter our rooms. We requested that the hotel make this change for us on the first night. They issued new keys, but the main door remained open and the individual room doors remained locked. We requested the change again on the second day. Again, new keys were issued, but the main door stayed unlocked and the room doors remained locked. On the third day, we requested the change a third time. New keys were issued a third time. The doors remained as they had from the beginning, with the main door unlocked and the room doors locked. At that point, we gave up. On the fourth day, we requested dinner reservations at Stone Barn for the next night at 6PM. Reservations were confirmed, and then were confirmed again an hour before our reservation. At 6PM, we showed up to the restaurant to find the doors locked and the lights off. We waited fifteen minutes, and when no one came, we wandered into the main restaurant to see what was going on. We discovered that Stone Barn was closed for the evening, and the restaurant manager was perplexed as to why the Concierge would have confirmed reservations that night given the restaurant was scheduled to be closed. As we had experienced several miscues by this point, we asked to speak with the Hotel Manager, but were told it was past 5PM, so he was off duty and could not speak with us until the next morning. This incident perhaps encapsulated the whole experience. We travel a lot. We know things happen in the service industry. What bewildered us was how little anyone in management did to fix anything. They consistently stood with mouths agape, but never offered to do anything of substance to help us. We never got anything off our bill, and at check out, when I suggested perhaps we should get a credit for our trouble, the Rooms manager stated he couldn’t do anything beyond offer a few Hyatt points for our trouble (the amount was never specified). Another miscue occurred on day 3. My parents were traveling with us, and overnight, their room developed a leak in the ceiling. They reported the leak at 8:30 AM to the housekeeper, who told them they would need to move rooms. They were downgraded from their suite to a standard king room. They had a massage scheduled for 12:30 PM. They were told an attendant would bring keys to the new room at 2PM when their massage ended. They were instructed to pack their luggage before the massage, and it would be moved to the new room. When they got out of the massage, no one was there with keys, and the spa staff looked bewildered at what my parents were talking about concerning their new set of keys. Finally, they tracked down a manager, who informed them that the room was not yet ready, but it would just be a few moments.. When asked how she could help them, my parents asked for a Diet Coke. She said she would go get it. She never did, despite my parents following up with her three times over the next hour and a half. At 3:30 PM, they finally got their new room keys. They were driven to the room only to find the bags had not made it. They had to drive to the old room, collect their own bags, and move them to the new room. The bellman was nice enough to offer to drive back to the spa to collect the promised Diet Coke while my parents unpacked. He returned to tell them he could not find the manager, and there still was no Diet Coke. As we did so often on this trip, my parents gave up and let it go. Housekeeping was another miscue. On day 2, I noticed that our double queen room had been cleaned, but the suite had not been cleaned. The privacy notice was not on the door. The next day, when the rooms had not been cleaned when we returned from breakfast, I asked the concierge to ensure housekeeping would clean the rooms when we headed back to the pool around 4PM. He confirmed this would happen. When we returned at 6PM, the rooms were still not cleaned. On day 4, in the morning, I informed the concierge at 9:30 AM we were heading for breakfast and wanted our rooms cleaned, as neither had been cleaned the day before and the king suite had not been cleaned since we got there. This was again confirmed. When I returned at 1:30 PM, the rooms still had not been surfaced. Only after getting testy with the concierge did housekeeping finally come around 3PM to clean both of the rooms. We had yet another miscue concerning the television, which was not working in the King Suite. We reported the issue on the first night. Maintenance came the morning of day 2 and entered the room despite the privacy light being on. My wife emerged from the shower with a towel on to find a strange and imposing man in the room messing with the TV. He had not announced himself. You can imagine her shock and fear. He told her the TV was fixed, but later that night, it still would not show any channels. He came back day 3 to “fix it”, but again it did not work. Finally, on the third try the third night, the TV started working again. Other than the constant miscommunication between staff, there were other issues unbecoming of a luxury resort. We found the food in the main restaurant to be expensive and subpar. We ate their the first night, and after a bad experience, chose to eat off property the rest of the time. The specialty restaurants were fully booked and had no availability while we were there, including the advertised Thanksgiving feast, so we had to go to the Marriott for Thanksgiving dinner (which was lovely, by the way). Service at breakfast was so painfully slow I decided to time and log everything the third day. We arrived at 8:40 AM. We were seated at 9:10 AM. The waitstaff took our order at 9:20 AM. The food arrived at 10:00 AM. Between 9:20 and 10:00, the waitstaff did not check on us, did not offer any drink refills, and did not apologize for the fact that it took an hour and twenty minutes from the time we arrived to the time we got our food. This degree of service was typical at breakfast. Some of us elected to get the buffet to avoid the wait. The chef at the omelette station was like something out of an SNL skit. She was there Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Each day, she said exactly 0 words to us. She had a scowl on her face the whole time. The last day, my stepfather, bless his heart, thought perhaps she didn’t communicate because she didn’t know English, so he asked her. That was the first and only time she spoke, to confirm she did, in fact, speak English natively. Golf carts were also painfully slow. As one example, on Thanksgiving, knowing we had a cab scheduled at 4:30 to take us to the Marriott, I called at 4:05 to request a golf cart at 4:25. I followed up at 4:15 and 4:25. I kept being told a cart was coming. It finally arrived at 4:35. As with everything else, we just gave up and decided to start walking with our four young kids everywhere (It was about a 10 minute walk from our room to reception). Cleanliness was another issue. On day 4, I was swimming with my 2 year old son, and I noticed he had reached for something in the pool to put in his mouth. Thankfully I found it before he ate it. It was a cigarette butt. Again, this was typical. The pool had many dead bugs and other debris. The sand from the beach was never swept away at night and just sat at the bottom of the pool. But perhaps the biggest disappointment is I never saw any manager above the Director of Rooms, despite the comedy of errors, and even the Director of Rooms only spoke to me at check out, offering me “some Hyatt points” for our troubles. I declined, and asked for a statement credit instead, which was refused. In my research, I saw the hotel has had two new General Managers in the past 14 months, and it shows. The hotel felt rudderless. I think most of the staff want to do a good job, but when your leaders clock off at 5PM, never walk the grounds, and never talk to the guests, even when they are having troubles, you can’t expect the staff to go the extra mile. At the end of the day, it is a beautiful location with a picturesque view of Nevis in the background, and we had a fun time as a family in spite of the woes of the hotel. But I cannot help but feel disappointed that I emptied my Hyatt points bank for an experience more becoming of a Hyatt Place in rural Indiana than a Park Hyatt in a supposed luxury locale.
Truly beautiful and wonderful experience at the Park Hyatt and on both St. Kitts and Nevis. The staff was really great. Cannot say enough about the Liamuiga Coffee Farm Lunch Tour (National Geographic Best of the World 2024) in the rainforest and our private sunset sail with Captain Ben and Niki with Coconut Sail. Both were AMAZING!!! . Also loved the astronomer experience at the resort. Dined at Orchid Bay, Drift and at the Four Seasons,... recommend them all! Also go to Sunshine's on Nevis. Totally fun. Bring your college flag and they will hang it! You can walk on the beach from there to the Four Seasons. Call Alvin Tours on What's App for taxis, we always had the same person driving us around which was awesome. Use Hollywood taxi on Nevis. They were great. Used Islander for water taxis, call them directly on WhatsApp. They will pick you up right from the Park Hyatt dock and you pay at the dock in Nevis, r/t was $22 pp. My family absolutely LOVED this vacation. It was a perfect mix of luxury, privacy, off property experiences and great food!
We went for a wedding and it exceeded our expectations! The property is absolutely beautiful-luxurious, peaceful and truly breathtaking from every angle! The service was exceptional from start to finish and every staff member went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. We can't wait to come back!
A very pleasant experience. We were welcome at our arrival and upgraded to a suite, which was of a very high quality level. Although the hotel had a high occupancy it always felt relaxed and tranquil. The location is somewhat out of the way and would require a car or the use of taxis to get around if you wish to leave the hotel grounds. There are a few amenities within walking distance. The staff from reception, housekeeping, dining and gardeners are friendly and welcoming. It’s a true 5 star experience but not cheap. I would recommend.
Nice resort on the end of St Kitts. Beautifully designed. We love a few nights here to unwind before the end of our visit. Close to Cockelshell beach with beach bars if you want some action. Water taxi to Nevis is also walkable.
The hotel was very good, not quite 5 star, more like 4.5. Staff were excellent, Breakfast very good. Pools was pleasant and the beach nicely located. Beach bar was ok. A little sterile Being overly critical: Seaweed should be cleaned up daily Fisherman’s Village should be open every day through to the evening. Music would be nice Cans were not readily available and had to be ordered. Stone Barn restaurant was disappointing Some stores would be nice
We spent few days at Park Hyatt St. Kitts at Christophe Harbour, and overall, it was a lovely experience. The property is absolutely beautiful. It is very clean, calm, and well kept. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day in the sun. What really made the trip special was Virender Singh, the restaurant manager. On our first day, we told him that our son has celiac disease, and he immediately took care of everything. Every meal after that was handled with such care and attention. As a vegetarian family, we were a bit worried at first because there weren’t many veg options on the menu, but Virender and his team went out of their way to make sure we had great meals every day. They were always kind, accommodating, and genuinely cared about our needs. The drinks around the resort were excellent, and the staff in general were friendly and helpful. The only small things I’d point out are that the beach area could use a few more staff and activities, and the ice cream shake counter was closed when we were there. We also had to look around for someone to help set up the beach chairs and towels, but once they did, it was all smooth sailing. All in all, it was a wonderful stay. The service from Virender and his team really stood out and made our vacation stress-free and memorable. We’d happily come back again!
Outstanding visit and exceptional service! What a wonderful week we have had. The resort is gorgeous and our beachfront room overlooking Nevis was a private oasis. We can't say enough about the staff and how welcoming they were. Highly recommend the DestinationDining outside of Stone Barn. A private table for two with great food and the chef to explain each course. Can't wait to come back.
Wonderful/Exquisite/Phenomenal are just a few words to describe our experience at the Park Hyatt in Saint Kitts! My sister put together a girls trip for my 50th birthday celebration along with 2 best friends. I feel the staff went above and beyond for us and were so welcoming. They gave us fantastic recommendations for our stay. A couple names came to mind Alexis,Michael and Oral at the front desk and I believe Tyrese who works in the pool area. There were also many individuals on the wait staff when we got breakfast and had our delicious meal at the Fishermans Village that tended to our every need. The grounds were also very clean and inviting and the scenery and beach were breathtaking. needless to say, I am already thinking about bringing my kids and husband here for our next trip.
This was my 2nd time staying at PH St Kitts and I was just as impressed as my 1st visit. I decided to plan a birthday celebration for my sister. There were 4 of us that stayed at PH. We were greeted by Michael at check in. He was very pleasant and professional. They gave us their signature cocktail which was very refreshing after a long flight. Our room was very clean and had a beautiful view of the ocean and the infinity pool. I recommend trying to upgrade to a plunge pool suite if available, but it wasn’t when we checked in. The room was still stunning and very comfortable. Linens were fresh and soft. Pillows are down feathers. The property is peaceful and quiet at night which I prefer. The location is at the south end of the island where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea. There is a fabulous view of Nevis Island which is just a 5 minute water taxi ride away. The hotel has tickets available for purchase. The property also offers daily activities and has a beach hut that provides kayaks, paddle boards, rafts, goggles, etc.. These are included in your stay. We had breakfast at The Great House restaurant every morning. The staff was very friendly and warm. They put a smile on all of our faces. Food was fresh and delicious. We also made reservations at Fisherman’s Village for a special birthday dinner for my sister. One of the staff members, Oral, assisted with that. He was absolutely amazing. I can’t say enough positive things about the staff here. They’re all wonderful. Fisherman’s Village was such a great experience. They seated us in a special room next to the dock. You can hear the waves while you eat. It was so peaceful. “Queen Bee” was our server. She was very attentive and had such a nice personality. She was very warm and friendly. Food was great too. I had the Caribbean Lobster, Octopus appetizer, and Conch Fritter appetizer. Everything was very tasty. We also explored Nevis. Alexis at the front desk assisted us with getting our tickets and transportation once on the island. “Hollywood” was our tour guide. He was perfect for our group and Alexis made sure to set that up for us. Again…I can’t say enough positive things about the PH staff. Everyone was so wonderful and accommodating. On our last full day we decided to enjoy the infinity pool and beach. Tyrese “Smooth” made my group feel like royalty. He was so nice and funny. He’s a great person and asset to the Hyatt brand. I want to thank PH and the staff for making my sister’s birthday trip an unforgettable experience. We all fell in love with St Kitts and Nevis. Tears were shed at the airport because of the beautiful experience we all had. For those of you that are reading my long review— Book this resort if you are planning to go to St Kitts. You will not be disappointed.
Great experience with an amazing staff and excellent services. Room was amazing and thw view was everything. Dinner was also very good cant go wrong staying here.
I stayed here for a short visit in November and was awed from the beginning! The staff were superb, nothing was too much trouble. I was whisked away in a golf cart to my suite which was fabulous, my favourite part was the stand alone bath tub which I didn't get a chance to try but I'll need to come back! The room was beautiful, very bright with a club house feel to it, I very much enjoyed the cheese plate on arrival also. Breakfast in the Great House was lovely in the morning, food was delicious and serviced was superb.
This place is absolutely amazing. The staff in their entirety were so helpful, accommodating, kind, and friendly. We were there for a wedding and had no idea what to expect, but all expectations were exceeded and pictures did not do a justice. The staff was beyond helpful. I was checked in by T’Shanda and she was incredibly friendly and had such a kind smile. While getting settled in I was communicating with her via the hotels WhatsApp number that you can text if you need anything from them, and they answered promptly. Rhianon their event coordinator made our bride feel so at ease all weekend; she anticipated her wedding needs and quickly attended to the ones she did not. She gave us step-by-step instructions for the customs process, and coordinated transportation to and from the airport so we never felt stressed about the process. Our drivers for everything were also very kind and the vans were very clean. The staff were so wonderful it was almost shocking to our group to be treated so well during our stay. I said multiple times during the weekend “I have never in my life been treated so well at a hotel”. We would call down for water refills, or golf cart rides from one part of the resort to another, and they would be there in minutes. I even had a little too much to drink one night and the staff drove me to my room in a golf cart and walked me to our anteroom door to make sure I was safe, but didn’t follow me through to the primary door to our room so I wouldn’t feel uncomfortable, which as a woman I found just beyond respectful. The cleaning staff did an incredible job and the rooms were absolutely immaculate. The entire resort was very well kept and never once did I look at anything and think “oh that’s old and kinda gross”. No bathroom was ever dirty throughout the resort. The location was insanely beautiful, we had an ocean front room looking right at Nevis. We were supposed to change to a pool-view room after one night, but requested to stay in our ocean front room because it was so overwhelmingly beautiful and worth every Penny. The place overall was a little pricey for my liking, like your cocktails will be $20 every time, but I will say that every single drink I had was incredibly delicious. The food for the wedding was SO GOOD and everything we ordered was just beyond expectation. So it was pricey, but the quality was top notch. You pay a resort fee every day but there are snorkels, paddle boards, kayaks, floaters, etc. at your disposal at all times, and although we didn’t end up using it, the spa and gym are included in that as well and I’m sure those also would have been great. All in all, we just loved this place so much and our entire party that was there for the wedding would absolutely recommend to anyone.
Park Hyatt St. Kitts far exceeded any expectations we had. From the warm greeting on arrival to the gracious farewell, every touch point we experienced was phenomenal. When it comes to accommodations, there is not one bad option. Each and every room is ocean view. Views for days. The location of the property feels as if you are on your very on luxurious private island with easy access to both islands (St. Kitts and Nevis). The Kayan Jet transporation option is A MUST!
The property is beautiful and the staff is amazing. I’m writing this review to share a dangerous situation at their hotel which caused a major injury to my son for which the hotel was not prepared to handle. The pool basketball hoop blew into the water, on top of my son, trapping him underneath and causing 3 large lacerations to his head. My husband is a neurosurgeon and said he could see the muscle inside our son’s head from one of the lacerations. You can imagine the amount of blood from the THREE lacerations. The hotel did not have a staple gun or suture kit anywhere on property. We had to go to the hospital which was 30 minutes away to get them stitched up. Not only did I have numerous out of pocket expenses which the hotel did not even offer to pay, our trip was essentially ruined since he could not swim afterward and what else is there to do at a beach vacation with 3 little kids. The hotel did not even remove the dangerous hoop or do anything to weigh or anchor it to prevent this from recurring and they are ill-equipped to deal with any sort of medical emergency; the nearest hospital is 30 minutes away.
Park Hyatt is luxury
We would love to go back
The Park Hyatt St. Kitts is a beautiful, well-maintained property. The grounds are immaculate, the architecture blends well with the natural surroundings, and the rooms are spacious and thoughtfully designed. One small but much-appreciated detail: the toilet is separate from the bathroom, which makes sharing a room far easier and more convenient. As an avid traveler who has stayed in properties worldwide, I tend to be pretty laid-back when on vacation. I don’t demand perfection, but I do expect basic standards of service from a 5-star property charging $700–$800 a night. Unfortunately, while the resort itself is stunning, the service did not consistently meet those expectations. The positives: Food: Overall, the food was good - well seasoned flavorful and worth trying Drinks: Cocktails at the pool bar were good and consistent Spa Treatments: Massages and facials were really good. Would recommend booking Staff: The staff we interacted with were always friendly, warm and apologetic when issues arose The Challenges: Service Speed: Food service was extremely slow. Even a simple order of wings or burger for two people took over an hour Pool Experience: At the adults-only pool there was no drink or chair service. Guests were expected to set up their own loungers and we found it easier/faster to just walk down to the pool bar and fetch our own drinks, fine for a casual beach hotel but not a luxury resort charging 3K for 4 nights Day Pass/Spa Pass Policy: I purchased passes for a visiting friend so we could enjoy a relaxing day together, but no one ever checked them which made the expense feel pointless Payment issues at the spa: What should have been a seamless experience turned into 45 minutes of confusion, followed by being called back from the pool because staff forgot to charge for products. That call, and dripping back into the spa in frustration completely undermined what was supposed to be a relaxing finale to our trip. Food Delays again: On that same "relaxing day", a food order placed at the pool still hadn't arrived after an hour and had to be canceled before dinner. To managements credit, they sent a fruit platter to our room which we appreciated Overall Food and beverage delivery needs to be tightened up considerable. Waiting an hour for bar snacks at a luxury resort is unacceptable. Both pools should have consistent staff support for drinks and loungers. Guests shouldn't be left to fend for themselves. I want to stress: this review isn't about the friendliness of the staff, they were always kind. The shortfall was in training, consistency and systems. For a property of this caliber and price point, those details matter. Would I recommend the Park Hyatt St. Kitts? Yes, for the property itself, the spa and the island experience. But if service is your top priority, you may be as frustrated as I was.
I recently stayed at this hotel for a short getaway, and it exceeded my expectations in all the right ways. The highlight of my stay was definitely the pool room — waking up to a beautifully view of Nevis was absolutely breathtaking. It made every moment feel calm and refreshing. The room itself was clean, modern, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. I appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and how well-maintained the facilities were, especially around the pool area. Although my stay was short, it was memorable, and I’d happily return for a longer visit next time. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a quick escape with a view that truly delivers. Only reason I didn’t rate it higher was because some of the restaurants/bars were closed probably because is slow season
The real review of the Park Hyatt St. Kitts. Must read! This is a gem. Have seen a few reviewers write negative things, and I’m not sure if there were teething issues, but I have glowing things to say about this property. The most bizarre comment that makes no sense is the view that this shouldn’t be a Park Hyatt. The property, room quality, service, and experiences are every bit at the top end of luxury within Hyatt and rival other top properties and brands - it’s deserving of its brand. I hope others write about their experiences more going forward, because a few old experiences or disappointing experiences should not be what remains written about this great property. I’ve stayed at many great hotels and resorts around the World, and this one is up there. The property itself - stunning! Ocean views overlooking Nevis in the distance, beautiful grounds, great restaurants. The lobby upon entering the property overlooks the ocean and the walk to the “Living Room” where you check in is surrounded by a koi pond on both sides. It’s beautiful. You can get fish food to feed the koi from the front desk. The main pool with its infinity edge and zero entry is great. There’s a little interior sand beach area too if you want to stay at the pool, but have some beach feel too. The adults pool is quiet as it should be and is relaxing and picturesque. Both pools overlook the ocean and Nevis in the distance. There are plenty of chairs and umbrellas too, and it lacks the vibe of reserving chairs, which is a huge plus. None of that took place during our stay, and we always had choices of shady spots. They provide towels that stretch over the lounge chairs, which is a nice plus too. Staff frequently come by to offer drinks, food, or simply some cold water. The restaurants all offer a lot of choice and different vibes. Fisherman’s Village is along the ocean with a pier, thatched roof, and outdoor bar. You hear the water coming up along the beach under the dock, which is a nice vibe. Food was excellent, especially the spiny lobster! They also cooked the snapper grilled even though that wasn’t the choice on the menu. The Stone Barn is cozy and more romantic. In the summer, the Stone Barn wasn’t open every night and different “pop ups” were available. While the Great House has three meals a day and is along the ocean with excellent food. I found the Great House high quality for all three meals, including dinner. With three dinner restaurant choices, the property provides a nice number of options for a longer stay. The pool bar has great salads and fish tacos - there’s more in the menu at the pool bar, but that’s what we enjoyed. There’s also a gelato and smoothie “shack” on the beach. Wish it was opened at night too for a late night dessert! We loved the coffee gelato that should be called “coffee chip” as there are a small chocolate pieces mixed in. Our favorite drinks at the bars were the Spice Trader and the Rum-Fashioned, but there are plenty of others to try. They’ll also offer you rum punch as a welcome drink upon check-in. Note: Globalist breakfast benefit during low season was “at least” $65pp off the menu (though this $65 is after service and tax, so it’s really $50 of menu spend per person before this). The breakfast buffet is not offered in low season. $50 can go plenty far though. One morning, my wife and I each ordered an entree, shared a smoothie, shared a pastry basket, and each had iced lattes, and I thought we had to cover $1.30 of the $131.30! The front desk removed the breakfast from the online bill right away. By checkout, they even removed the $1.30 from our first day. The other days came to under $130 for the two of us. Loved the breakfast food items all around. The front desk on check in actually said you can get anything you want at breakfast except the Mimosa’s and they’d remove it, which ended up being the case, as they removed the $1.30. One other note was when we got hot coffees, it was never even a part of our breakfast bill - even though it was included anyway, I’d just thought I’d mention. Not sure if it will be offered going forward, but on select nights this summer, they were offering a Sushi/Japanese dinner in Stone Barn. Loved the atmosphere and service, but we didn’t love the Japanese food we ordered (but we’re from NYC with some well-rated Sushi restaurants, so we might not too critical). On select Sunday’s, there is a Sunday Brunch in the Great House from 12-3pm. This is not included as part of the Globalist breakfast benefit. That said, we had breakfast a little earlier and sat down at 1:30 for the brunch. The Brunch was incredible. It looked like a lot of locals also came from across the area to experience it. I thought the hotel under-advertised how great the Brunch is. There was better Sushi than the pop-up from Stone Barn! And lots of great dishes like lobster salad, crabmeat salad, shrimp ceviche, and a beet salad. There was short rib, pasta, and more traditional American dishes. A selection of local dishes like oxtail (that I really liked), salt fish, and Johnny Cakes. And an amazing dessert buffet of fresh cakes, crème brûlée, tiramisu, gelato, and more. I’m not listing everything, but you get the point. It was impressive in its offering and food quality. We also did the afternoon tea one of our days. It’s offered in the Great House. The food offered was over-the-top. The sandwiches were unique versus what I’ve experienced in London, but all were enjoyable. There were three scone choices (plain, raisin, and cheese). And the dessert selection was so vast, that my wife and I shared bites of one of each of the choices and brought the rest to another guest we met on our stay to enjoy. The tea was prepared tableside with fresh tea leaves (3 choices offered). We liked the tea, but it was a hot day, so we had less tea than usual! Some of the items like the lobster roll sandwich and some of the desserts were repeats from the Brunch selection - we were ok with that and it was a nice experience to try the afternoon tea and the Brunch during our stay. There are also other restaurant options nearby. We happened to experience Spice Mill, just outside the entrance to the Park Hyatt grounds as well as Reggae Beach Bar. Reggae Beach Bar has a popular Lobster Fest dinner on Fridays starting at 6pm. Make a reservation. It is a super casual restaurant on the beach with some seating in an open air environment or on plastic tables and chairs on the beach itself - really casual like I said. They have live music on Fridays that’s very good. The spiny lobster was huge in portion size and excellent. It comes with two other proteins you pick from and a buffet of sides. It’s a good value. One other note, it’s a 15 minute walk from the Park Hyatt lobby but the bellman also drives guests there - we tipped him, but the shuttle is free, and we called and he picked us up after dinner. The restaurant can call if you don’t have a phone. The Spice Mill is a 5 minute walk from the lobby, but we took the shuttle again. I’d call it upscale casual at Spice Mill if that makes any sense! The service was great, as was the food and rumtini’s (the rumtini was a recommendation from someone at the Park Hyatt front desk). This might be a theme, but we ordered the spiny lobster again! We found it a little less chewy than Maine lobster and had to have it again. There are a number of “experiences” that are included with the resort fee. As typical, Globalists get the resort fee waived as well. These are the ones we enjoyed, all of which I’d highly recommend, and all again were included as part of the resort fee. 1. Mixology class. Jose, the bartender at Flemings Bar inside the Great House teaches this class. He is so nice, knowledgable, a great teacher, and a great mixologist. He taught us about all the different bar tools he uses, how to use them, why you use them, etc. we made two cocktails that are signature items on the bar menu. And he had members from the group volunteer to make the drinks for everyone. 2. Rum Tasting. Jose taught this class too. He poured three different brands of rum. We learned a lot about the history of rum and how each of the choices we tasted varied and “attempted” to analyze the rums as we tried them. 3. Cooking demonstration. We helped and observed a chef making a curried snapper and potstickers. It was a pretty hot afternoon in the open-air Fisherman’s Village (and we were tired from a big day), so I felt a little less into it, but still glad to have experienced this. 4. Bonfire. This was offered on one of the nights during our stay. Free smores kits near the beach surrounded by string lights. Was a nice little snack and a fun time! The fitness center was nice. We used it every morning. It had a selection of equipment, weight machines, free weights, and a Peloton (with toe holder so you don’t need to bring your Peloton shoes). There were cold water bottles and plenty of towels. We did not do the fitness classes, but several were offered on mornings during our stay (yoga, cross-fit). The Spa seemed very nice. A lot of guests experienced it, and we heard really amazing things, but we did not use it. The service was so friendly, it was an absolute joy to experience getting to know so many of the talented Park Hyatt team members that work on property. I saw some reviews say the service at the restaurants was slow. We did not experience this. And the restaurant staff was helpful and wanted to share their views on dishes to help us decide. One server at breakfast even said to my wife if she didn’t like her choice, she’d bring out a different entree for her. They custom prepared the fish entree at Fisherman’s Village and brought us a side of Johnny Cakes at the Great House for breakfast. Even the grounds staff was super friendly. They keep up the property really well. And we saw two guests with fresh coconuts and straws. They said the ground crew will get you a coconut and cut it open for you to drink fresh coconut water! There are staff with golf carts that can take you around. They drove us to our room from check-in with a little property tour, and they also scheduled a late check-out and luggage pick-up, and were right on time for the luggage (and they drove us back in the golf cart to the lobby with our bags). The property is entirely walkable, but you can request a cart anytime. One time we were walking to dinner and a cart was passing by, and they offered us a ride. The staff pull to the side and wait for guests to walk past to not disturb anyone with the golf carts that are walking around the property. Our room. We stayed in a Pool View Suite. This is very conservatively labeled by the property, as it had a full-on ocean view beyond the pool. We really liked our room. We used a Suite Upgrade Award from the standard room. I didn’t bother asking for a plunge pool suite as these are premium suites, and many prior guests reported about paying a fee to upgrade to one. That said, the plunge pools did look very nice, so it may be worth it. We loved the pools on the property, so we didn’t mind not having a private one. The pool view suites also walked right out to the main pool, so we liked our easy access to the pool even if it wasn’t a private plunge pool! The room had a sitting area with a big sofa and 2nd TV. The bathroom was very nice, with a high end shower, double sinks, and a soaking tub. The bathroom and master BR use sliding doors to close it off from the sitting area and bathroom. Two robes are provided, as are slippers. There are plenty of towel hooks in the bathroom to hang towels if you’re ok to re-use them the next day. The room stayed nice and cool from the AC. Housekeeping was fine enough, but not a standout. They cleaned the room once per day, usually early afternoon. They only leave three bath towels. There was not a turndown service, which would have been a good addition. They do come back in the early evening to re-fill an ice bucket and leave some really good chocolates each night. Wish they’d freshen up the bathroom early evening when they revisit though. The beach was fine. Not the best Caribbean beach I’ve been to, but still a beautiful beach, and the views across to Nevis are really nice. The entry to the ocean has a really soft, fine black sand that was really nice experience versus what I’ve usually seen. We found the water a bit rough on most days. It had times where it was a nice turquoise blue, but not all day. There was some seaweed (it’s been a tough summer this year for a lot of beaches), but it wasn’t overwhelming. The staff cleans the seaweed each day. We brought water shoes because we were told it can be a little pebbly. We forgot to take them with us to the beach though, and it was fine enough without them, though there are some small rocks in places, but I wouldn’t call it rocky by any means. The beach overlooks Nevis and is a really nice setting. There is a shady area with some tree cover right on the beach and plenty of lounge chairs either in that shady area or across the beachfront (with umbrellas if want shade out in the open area too). If you have a longer stay, there are a number of excursions to choose from. We just enjoyed a relaxing break at the property, but if you want more action, you can find it. There are catamaran cruises, snorkeling trips, jet ski rentals. There’s a casino in the Marriott a short taxi away. And some guests had taxi drivers take them around St Kitts for tours of the island for a half-day. It was actually pretty reasonable. You can also go to other beaches on St Kitts. There is a boat pier right at the hotel if you want to visit Nevis. I think it was $60 round trip per person and leaves frequently. There are some excursions to do on Nevis as well. The boat ride to Nevis is less than 10 minutes as the hotel faces Nevis along the “narrows”, so it’s a short boat ride. Travel to/from the airport was easy. We didn’t pre-order a car, but the hotel will do that for you. There is a small upcharge if the hotel reserves you a car. We had the hotel pre-book us a car for the return to the airport to be sure we had one ready. When we arrived, there’s a taxi stand right outside, and we got a taxi quickly. The rate was $40 one-way, plus $1 per suitcase. The hotel will charge $55 one-way, but no added fee per suitcase. Overall, I’d highly recommend this property, and we really enjoyed our stay.
Park Hyatt is nothing short of phenomenal. Amenities are amazing! Michael in concierge was the best when we checked in. We went during off season and hardly anyone was there (only downside is staff was a little slow at times). We had the resort mostly to ourselves. We upgraded to a plunge pool at a fraction of the price. Can't wait to visit again!! Breathtaking views of Nevis. Luxury trip at its finest!!
This is a great hotel. Beautiful place and the grounds are immaculate. Can’t say enough about the service as well. A couple of things created challenges. First, while the quality of the food was fantastic, and while we expect to pay higher prices at a) a resort and b) an island … expect to pay mandatory 30% for tax and service above already very high prices. Omakase dinner for two, with wine pairings … $637? Seems excessive. Or a water taxi that costs $23 online … the hotel charges its guests $60 and tells me “It for the convenience of being picked up at the hotel”? Taxis into the main part of town are also very expensive. $70 round trip into town, before spending similar amounts on dinner. Mind you, we were just a party of two. Would hate to see a bill for parents and 3 or 4 kids. Again, excellent, but very expensive experiences. I admit we weren’t expecting that level of expense, but if you are prepared for the expense of it all, it’s a wonderful place and some unforgettable experiences.
One of if not the most stunning resorts I’ve ever been too. Best resort in St Kitts and Nevis - I stopped by to check out Four Seasons in Nevis, Park Hyatt is much better.
The location, hotel conditions, and customer service were all outstanding — truly top-notch in every way. Unfortunately, the extreme prices for food and beverages overshadowed the rest of the experience. While I expect to pay more at a high-end property, the pricing here felt excessive even by luxury standards, making it hard to fully enjoy the stay. If the dining costs were more reasonable, this would easily be a five-star review.
Our stay at Park Hyatt St. Kitts was exceptional from start to finish. The resort has a small, intimate, boutique feel that makes it perfect for a quiet, relaxing getaway. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are spotless, and the views of Nevis are simply breathtaking. We found the beach to be stunning, with a unique mix of white sand and black volcanic sand, and great snorkelling right off the shore. The large pool was peaceful and never crowded, and the entire resort had a calm, uncrowded atmosphere that was ideal for unwinding. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and breakfast buffet was consistently very good and convenient. Overall, the food across the resort was good—though we felt the Caribbean buffet night fell short and was overpriced for what it was. We enjoyed walking over to Cockleshell Beach, just minutes away which has with lovely seashells, great snorkelling (but can get crowded by late morning). My kids also enjoyed the nearby shipwreck beach as well as the Koi fish tanks in the lobby. Only issue was the overpriced transfer to Nevis from the hotel. Do yourself a favour and walk over to Cockleshell Beach instead—it’s about a quarter of the price the hotel charges. If you’re looking for luxury, tranquility, and natural beauty, Park Hyatt St. Kitts delivers on all fronts. We’d return in a heartbeat.
If you "must" travel to St Kitts which is not my recommendation for a host of reasons.... go the extra hassle and go to the Four Seasons on the neighboring island of Nevis. The Park Hyatt property is beautiful, but staff on many occasions was rude, dismissive and woefully under trained to provide 5 Star service. They charge an exorbitant amount of money for everything. They over promise and under deliver on every level. Average meal service was over two hours for each meal. The location is remote and to go to other restaurants averages 100.00 round trip and the food is typica l island food, very oily, not healthy, and served with that wonderful island attitude. Top management has a few impressive, properly trained managers, however the other staff is awful. One housekeeper came to clean our suite, was so angry, and rude, I asked her "check herself" before entering our suite. PLEASE FIND ANOTHER ISLAND. or better yet "go on a luxury cruise". Take my advise as a seasoned first class traveler and take a big PASS on this property.
Service was top tier. All of the staff were warm and friendly!
It was far from town and the ride was a little scary. We mostly ate at the property which was expensive as hell! Would def go back, but find a local grocery store for snacks and bites. This is the only place I would stay when visiting St Kitts
Love the hotel. Not crowded at all. Very relaxing. Great family activities each day organized by the staff. Excellent gym. Very friendly staff. The restaurants had excellent food and the adult pool was very nice. 5 star resort with an amazing view of Nevis. No seaweed (sargassum) which was much better than most of the other resorts that I could see along the island.
Exceptional service from everyone at the resort! Beautiful updated rooms. Amazing pools and restaurants to enjoy! Definitely going back again! Hands down best vacation!
Amazing resort with great views, rooms, and service. It is the perfect spot if you want to relax and get away. Picture cannot do it justice.
The property was beautiful, rooms were clean and had amazing views of the ocean. The staff stole the show, they were friendly and attentive. Food and drinks were good. Hotel had plenty to do to keep you busy with kayaking, paddle boarding, chess, and pool basketball. Overall wonderful stay.
Love it
We had a great week at the park Hyatt with our family of 4. So many staff went out of their way to make it great - michael at the front desk, Jeff in the garden and Tyrese at the pool. Week after the Fourth of July was completely empty. It felt like we had the place to ourselves. Never had to worry about good pool chairs or towels. Highlights Kids club Super friendly staff Pool area Large suite right next to the pool What’s app texting service for help Kids 5 and under eat free Off site : reggae beach lobster fest Could be improved but overall didn’t impact us terribly: Housekeeping didn’t wipe tables or do some of the “fancier” things we have experience at other resorts like laying out toiletries on towels all organized Food at the Caribbean buffet was just ok and very expensive Food overall on resort was fine but not amazing. We ended up eating out most nights with better food and lower costs Tell families right away the beach activities hut has tons of pool and beach toys to borrow Clarify if all the additives to each bill necessitates tipping more or not Light music around pool area could be nice
What a celebration for my wife's birthday.Tiffany the concierge made all of my arrangements without fault. Excellent service in all areas...front desk, restaurants, pool, guest services everywhere. The food was of the highest quality again all times...breakfast, pool menu, lunch and of course dinner. They totally spoiled my wife with a birthday memory of a life time. Thank you Park Hyatt...as the saying goes...we will be back!!
Hotel itself was good, rooms were clean and the views of Nevis were great. We had some issues at the restaurants coming here with our 1 year old son (the stone barn, which is typically adults only but has a family night on Fridays, was not able to accommodate a High chair after being at the restaurant for 30 mins past our reservation). The hotel is also 15 mins from Frigate Bay, 30 mins to downtown Basserette, and was pretty expensive based on what we got compared to other hotels nearby. If you do go eat at Fishermans village, best restaurant we ate at while staying at St. Kitts
Too far
Too expensive you took an extra day from the card I wasn’t told this in advance. Breakfast too expensive for that price. You one should if been getting free breakfast.I came in 4am in the morning of June 27 I don’t see nobody around I had to walk 10 minutes to get to my room.i wa scared walking in the lonely area that time of the morning.I am lucky security did nt approach me and think zi was up to know good.I ask for a plastic spoon and it took almost half a hour to get it had to ask 2 waiter to get it
Staff are very friendly but the all inclusive experience we paid for was just not worth it. The flyer they provide states that there is a 12% service charge on all items but when you arrive it is actually 18% plus 13% tax. Even though the 18% service charge goes to all the employees, the staff make it clear that it isn't a "tip" so you feel uncomfortable and pressured to put extra on there even though it is all inclusive. The beach was nice but service was hit or miss. It is also very rocky in the water so bring water shoes. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. The food was good but the menus don't change at all so if you stayed a week, you will tire quickly of the food options. The breakfast was literally the same thing every morning for the whole week. The hotel tried to charge my family $700 USD for a 6 minute ferry ride to Nevis. Don't use the hotel ferry as it is a total rip off. Just walk to the other dock and take the non hotel ferry for a fraction of the price. Same with booking an airport transfer. I was quoted $70 for airport transfer but then after the fact they said that because they sent two vans for 14 people (one just to hold the luggage) I was now obligated to pay another $70 for that. Book a local company for airport and save yourself hundreds of dollars. They just turn around and convert the USD to their local currency that is literally a 2.7 rate conversion. That information needs to be made clear before we book things. The spa is awesome but there is no jacuzzi. I would have expected a hot tub at a 5 star resort but there isn't one on property. The services are also ridiculously over priced. My 80 minute hot stone massage was priced at $265 and with service charges and tax, it ended up being close to $400. It started 10 minutes late and no effort was made to make up the time so it was more like a 70 minute massage. My mini bar was supposed to be stocked each day per the fine print in the all inclusive agreement but that never happened. I had to call several times for this. I also had 4 people in my room and was consistently only given 3 bath towels each day. I had to call multiple times for this. When you are paying $900 a night to stay here, I don't want to beg for bath towels. We booked a photographer to take professional family pictures through the hotel. We had 6 small kids and 8 adults ready to go on time and the photographer never showed up. While we did get a very nice apology, it really is a poor reflection of the hotel to recommend a company that doesn't show up. For the first three nights there was an awful loud sound coming from upstairs. It ended up being the pool pump. We called and complained multiple times and then finally said either turn off the pump or find us a new room so we could get sleep. These types of things we just shouldn't have to deal with on vacation. While everyone was really nice and quick to work with us, we won't be returning as we feel that for what we paid, we should have received better attention to detail.
wonderful stay except understaffed at front desk making check in and out very frustrating. there was only 1 person in reception covering both concierge and check in. took at least 1/2 hr just to be acknowledged. unfortunate, because trip was otherwise great!
