Amazing location with walkway only 25 min to Traquair House. Nice looking rooms.

Bad smell in hallway and bathroom. Personal preference uncomfortable pillow and cold in room.

Traditional with modern touches. Very comfortable. Excellent friendly and flexible staff

Inevitably given the age of the property bedrooms in the main house up fairly steep stairs.

The staff were exceptional- so friendly, so helpful and a pleasure to interact with.

I loved my little single room, had all I needed and bonus bottle of water. Good powerful shower too. Nicely designed, made it feel cosy. Very peaceful night's sleep despite being over a restaurant. Very helpful manager didn't mind removing a large spider thank you. Fabulous large portions of quality food in the restaurant. So much that I was too full for breakfast the next day. Let me check in early. Very good value

It was incredibly busy. I hadn't realised how much of a Mecca for mountain biking Innerleithen has become. If the sight of men in lycra is not your thing maybe not for you. Also some pretty arrogant men in full shooting gear with very expensive range rovers. Bit of a playground for the rich. These are the customers mainly serviced by this hotel. Not the hotel's fault but I enjoyed quieter places earlier in the week and this was a bit of a shock travelling as a single female.

Staff were all brilliant, especially the girls on during Friday evening service, very attentive Menu is excellent with so many good options to choose from A good night sleep in a comfy bed

The high points of this hotel are its excellent location for local MTB trails, proximity to the cycle path along the river Tweed, good car parking, fantastic staff, spotless bathroom and toilets, great shower and a first class restaurant, pub and tasty food. The proprietor of the place was very friendly and helpful

The lack of a table and comfy chair in the room for working on a laptop or some such was noted. I expected the family room to be a little larger, but that wasn't a huge issue

Our room was rather noisy as the kitchen fans, and bars we’re beneath us.

Traditional hotel, well looked after. Well maintained. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We ate dinner elsewhere but came back to hotel for drinks later and it was very busy. Barman managed to find us a table which was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was included in price of booking and was incredible - we both had full Scottish breakfast and it was huge and delicious!

We were on 2nd floor with no lift. We did mention next morning and they said we could have asked for lower floor- which is fair enough. The room was fairly small with little space to get around the bed. Sink in bathroom was tiny and no ledge or shelf to put any toiletries.

Fantastic, friendly staff at this legendary inn. Breakfast is vast and good quality. Bed is super comfy. Couldn’t ask for more.

A tiny sink (Room 8) which mean't I could only fill the kettle and my bidons using a small cup. The bathroom was a good size so I don't understand why they couldn't have fitted a larger sink

I traveled for a sporting event. The hotel is located in a quiet area, but my room was right above the garden at the back, where a party was taking place. The music stopped at 10 PM, which I really appreciated. I was traveling alone, but I found the room to be just a little too small. Nevertheless, I would still stay at the same hotel when I return.

Gezellig hotel met prima personeel. Kamers goed ingericht. Het is een klassiek oud gebouw en dat heeft zo zijn charmes. Gezellige bar met ruime keuzes. Het ontbijt was prima verzorgd (cooked breakfast). Parkeren naast het gebouw was welkom.

Room was cosy and clean. It was so quiet, didn't hear a thing from outside. Good size for a single room.

Parking can be a bit tight. I was lucky to get the last spot otherwise there would be nowhere else to park.

I have been to this pub many times over the years but never had an overnights stay. Even though the place was absolutely heaving, they managed to make sure we got a table for our dinner! Staff, as always, are so attentive and will make you feel very welcome! Breakfast was great! Lots of options and the service was excellent!

Die Lage ist perfekt wenn man runter auf dem Weg zur Fähre ist. Es gibt ein tolles Restaurant, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war mega klasse.

Es sollten Parkplätze vorhanden sein die nicht reserviert werden müssen. Diese Angabe ist nur zeitweise richtig. Obwohl ich auswählte, dass ein Parkplatz benötigt wird, konnte nur einer etwas entfernt vom Hotel gefunden werden. Den Wagen mit Reisegepäck lassen wir gerne direkt an der Unterkunft stehen. In meiner Buchung gab ich an, dass wir abends gerne essen möchten. Die Antwort war, wir müssen einen Tisch reservieren. Dazu musste im Hotel angerufen werden. Mit der Antwort hätte die Tischreservierung gleich erledigt sein können.

The location is key, the facilities are spot on for what I was in the area for, biking. The staff are always on point too. I’ll be back for sure.

A really lovely hotel with exceptional staff and beautiful rooms in a fantastic setting. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and spotless bathroom overlooking the local countryside. Lovely breakfast included with the option of lunch and dinner in the restaurant. Good veggie and vegan options.

A vegetarian/vegan Sunday roast would be great.

Very comfortable beds. Staff very helpful especially the Manager who exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was delicious & plenty choice, we would love to come back for a lunch or dinner one day.

Room was small, not much space to move around. Car park quite tight for maneuvering.

Cottage was comfortable and clean. The staff were lovely and food was really good.

Bar prices seemed a bit high considering it's a small village location.

The hotel accommodated our request to bring our dogs at short notice and we were made to feel very welcome in the bar. Staff are very friendly and made a fuss of the dogs. Food was excellent as usual. Room was comfortable. We could adjust temperature to suit with a radiator and a window that actually opens unlike some other hotels. Bed was large and comfy but we could feel it was two mattresses pushed together so not ideal if you want to sleep in the middle of the bed.

I understand that you charge for dogs and we are used to paying a charge for dogs in some other hotels but not all. Some accommodation provide a welcome pack for dogs e.g. poo bags, towel, treats and a bowl. We don't expect anything, but it would be a nice touch. We aren't messy guests, we are always respectful of our accommodation and take care to avoid mess. Our dogs are not big shedders so there shouldn't be an extraordinary clean up required after our stay. I appreciate some dogs might be more messy. The charge of £10 per dog would make us favour somewhere else. We appreciated being able to bring our dogs at short notice but the 'dog tax' for one night stung a bit.

Bed was a bit too hard for me. But that's personal preference. Bathroom stayed cold, towel radiator wasn't very effective.

The hotel is right in the small village, there is lots of parking, and there is a restaurant and a bar in the hotel. The room was comfortable and clean, the wifi good, and I had a good stay.

Great location, lovely village atmosphere the pub was especially good, food was amazing as was the service.

The laundry only took coins which we didn't have but ended up finding another launderette close by that used cards.
