Colazione piuttosto frugale perché non mangiando la colazione scozzese, mi sono dovuta accontentare di pane tostato, burro e marmellata in quanto i croissant erano finiti. Ambiente pulito, spazioso, staff gentile. Camera tranquilla e spaziosa.

La colazione cosiddetta europea era un po' misera.

Food took forever to arrive (an hour and a quarter for a starter!!) and this morning there was no cooked breakfast options even tho advertised and paid for when booked. Rather disappointing and poor

None of the lights worked. The bathroom mirror light was broken. The shaving light didn’t even have a bulb. The ceiling light has a fault and worked 30% of the time going on and off. The bedside lamps were fine but the eco bulbs were so weak you couldn’t read. It was all a bit like being in a dark hole.

Hard bed like concrete, filthy room, not hoovered, old toothpaste in the glass in the bathroom, flaking headboard, old , cheap duvet, noisy toilet next door, I could hear people urinating. Its the worst room I've ever stayed in.

Location was great close to John o Croats and staff were helpful. I did disregard the bad comments previously due to it’s easier to say bad than good.

Dated bed was uncomfortable . Was on the annex which is a b & b across the road didn’t sleep. Fan runs constantly no over run timer or humidity stat has to turn it off. Every time someone used a tap or flush the toilet you could hear the pipes filling the system. food menu was different to online and had less. Was low priced but limited. Breakfast was continental with cooked options

The room was a little tired and jaded, lights not working, steam from the shower risked setting off the fire alarm, noise from the sound system in the bar thumped up through the bedroom floor, but overall pleasant enough

Staff were kind and helpful. Shower was hot with good pressure. Bed comfortable; pillows could be upgraded. Food was good. Bar was pleasant to both eat in and hang out.

Hotel is worn and needs an upgrade. Deluxe suite did not have a chair to sit in. Had to watch TV in bed.Bathroom sink had separate hot and cold water taps and once sink plug was set there was no release. No wash cloths. Door lock/unlocked mechanism difficult to use because it had too much of a turn radius.

Great location, clean, spacious. The host Saliha was a real pleasure to deal with incredibly helpful and accommodating.

We loved staying here it's our second time, it's great value for money. The food last night was delicious.

The room we had this time was in the hotel bit where reception & bar is, it was so small, my hubby is over 6 foot, we're not exactly small either the bed was tiny the toilet was clean but not like the other room we had, this one had burn on carpet I took pictures of. The bathroom mirror tiles & sink taps (I cleaned before I got pics, were all splash marks from toothpaste there was crumbs over the table, the wee stool was stained, we got woke up a few times with people walking past, you can hear people talking in their own room, when we were in room 29 across road from main hotel it was amazing every thing was absolutely spot on.

Leider sind die Fotos im Internet schmeichelhafter als in Wirklichkeit. Unser Zimmer bestand quasi nur aus dem Bett mit etwas Platz um herum zu gehen. Die Dusche ist auch sehr klein. Am Waschbecken muss man die Hände zwischen Kalt- und Warmwasser hin und herbewegen, um sich zu waschen. Die Bedienung beim Abendessen schien überfordert, denn zuerst hat er die Getränkebestellung vergessen, dann den Ketchup erst gebracht, als das Essen fast vorbei war. Unser Frühstück war weniger als lauwarm und wurde nach Reklamation mitgenommen und in der Mikrowelle wieder aufgewärmt. Möglicherweise war unsere Erfahrung ein einmaliger Ausrutscher, aber das muss jeder selbst entscheiden...

Handy location to get Ferry. Lovely meal. Basic Hotel but served its purpose.

The room could have been cleaner. Carpet in room looked like it needed a good hoover and shower wasn't very clean.

Good location, staff were lovely and good having a dog in room away from main hotel. Good price and good food.

Service was slow at times and staff seemed to forget things when you asked them for instance asking for dog bowl with water then having to ask again. Just a bit of attention to detail.

Hotel strategico per chi percorre la NC500. Ottima la possibilità di cenare all’interno visto dove ci si trova (posti magnifici). Buona la colazione. Letto comodo e parcheggio davanti all’ingresso. Silenzio e pecore al pascolo. Consigliato!…spero di tornarci un giorno…

Die Ausstattung ist schon deutlich benutzt und könnte eine Renovierung vertragen. Insbesondere das Badezimmer.

Leider wurde unser Zimmer zwei mal Abgebucht. An der Rezeption wurde uns noch gesagt, das man sich drum kümmert, und das Geld in der Nächsten Woche zurück überwiesen wird. Das ist jetzt 5 Wochen her. Anfänglich habe ich noch E-Mails bekommen, und alle geforderten Unterlagen zugesandt. Mittlerweile bekomme ich nicht mal mehr Antwort. Schade denn der Aufenthalt war eigentlich ganz schön. UPDATE, Bokking.Com hat sich unser Problem angenommen und gelöst.

Breakfast was organised and very good,stafff at the hotel assisted as required ,dorothy became very ill ,unfortunately the room was non conducive,far too small which even the staff admitted. Other aspects of the hotel hit my high approval rating,the small room was the issue,hyad I not have had the concerns at Inverness,Iwould not be happy with theroom.

Staff a bit disorganised. Orders mixed up, doubled up. Breakfast on both occasions was cold and looked like it had been warmed from the day before. Tea was served from a pump thermos, it was cold, I am sure it was yesterdays, had to ask for fresh to be made. Bananas soft and soggy.

Sehr nettes Personal und ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis beim Abendessen. Ein netter Billardtisch und eine nette Bar. Es gibt direkt an der Straße. Das fällt aber nicht so schlimm auf. Es ist nicht laut. Die Zimmer sind eher einfach, aber sie geben sich sehr Mühe.

Camera e struttura sporca, il tubo del lavandino aveva una perdita quindi quando aprivi l’acqua cadevano delle gocce da lì. Il water durante la notte si è riempito tutto ed è venuta su l’acqua quindi vi lascio immaginare l’odore. Per cena un ora di attesa.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. Location was good. The bar and restaurant were great, both dinner and breakfast were top notch.

The room was a bit worse for wear and not very clean. We stayed at the auxiliary building which could use an overhaul. There was a strong smell of cannabis in the hall, which of course wasn't the establishment's fault. Nor did it really bother us.

Great location – you can walk to John o' Groats. Delicious food. It's a shame the rooms aren't as good as the food...

We got two rooms—one in the hotel and the other in the building across the street. The hotel room wasn't bad. The one in the building across the street was a disaster... I wouldn't want to sleep there again. If you book a room, make sure it's in the hotel.

It was very tired and needs a make over. Shower was dirty and the place is run down. It wasn't the place where the photo was taken. Misleading.

Het bed was goed. Het ontbijt en diner waren lekker. Het meisje vd bediening van het ontbijt was vriendelijk. Locatie vh hotel is mooi.

Klein raam in slaapkamer. Raam kon niet open want dan lag je in de geur vd keuken. Lampen in de douche deden het niet. Wc trok amper door. Foto's zijn mooier dan in werkelijkheid. Bediening niet erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Schoonmaak kon beter Het is jammer want de locatie is prachtig en er valt echt wel iets moois van te maken.

The staff were lovely. Friendly, attentive and obliging. The food was good and ample choice.

I had to wash cups in my room before I could use them as the were sitting in dust which had been missed by cleaner.

Everything went very smoothly at check in, we were looked after by the lovely leah, she was really helpful and nothing was too much trouble, we were also given a free upgrade, leah really is an asset to the hotel, the room was clean and comfortable, had a really good night's sleep, the food was also really nice , for both evening meal and breakfast, had a fabulous stay and would recommend.

Staff were good to resolve issues and helped where possible to compensate for problems.

In years of staying in hotels for business and leisure, this is probably the worst hotel I have ever experienced. Place is tired, untidy, with a TV way too small for the room! We were eventually given a room on the 2nd night after the hotel cancelled our 1st nights stay after we had already arrived after a 4Hr 200 mile journey. Food was over cooked, bathroom had a broken toilet seat, toilet brush covered in tissue and excrement, curtains in room did not shut completely, 1st night was re-arranged after an email was sent for us to stay at their sister hotel over half hour away which was not acceptable as we were there to support elderly relatives. Were were directed to a BnB up the road which was just that! We had no access to facilities we had arranged for without driving to them! Some staff were very helpful and went out of their way to help us recover some returns for the inconvenience but will never book here again! If your happy with all the above then this is the place for you.

Rooms were a bit worn and dated with dirt on carpet, etc, and the bathroom flooded as the shower tray was blocked. I couldn't shower after my wife as the tray was full of water.

Took payment twice and am still waiting for the refund. Not ideal at the end of a 3 month trip. Quite run down and rooms a little tired

Na dat ik ziek was geworden direct 2de nacht geboekt. Na aankomst op kamer meteen terug naar receptie en 2de nacht meteen gecanceld. Schimmel op plafond en vloer. Kitnaden smerig. Wc bril gebroken Wc rolhouder gebroken. Wasbak erg smerig me haren in afvoer. Doucheputje ranzig. Vloer smerig. Gehorig ( tot 23:00 tv van buurman op volume 50 ) Bij raam een blinde muur. Ontbijt karig of ze staan met pin apparaat klaar als je wat wilt. Alles erg gedateerd naar 1970. Refund aangevraagd. Duur van refund is 6 weken. Na 7 weken gebeld en refund afgewezen. Geen reden voor afwijzing. Management niet te bereiken
