Very friendly host and hostess, fluent in English, French, Italian and Dutch. Calm location, near a small park, comfortable bed and large shower room. Delicious breakfast, with home made bread and jams. Secure parking for the car/bike.

Initially difficult to spot. Fortunately the host was there to guide me and my car behind secure metal gates.

Lovely garden with secure parking. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing!

Christiane & Pasquale are wonderful kind and welcoming hosts who went out of their way to accommodate us. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean and breakfast was delicious with lots of choice, homemade breads and preserves. As we were travelling on motorbikes it was great to be offered off road parking.

The owners were very kind, sweet and spoke English fortunately for us quite well. The bathroom was huge, even comfortable seating for two. The window there was able to open for fresh air and you could see your car parked inside the gate. Clever blinds too and double paned insulated windows for insulation. The bedroom was cute and comfortable enough. Wonderful window above the bed to open for fresh air and watch the rain or let in the sun or not shades very clever use of that. Coffee and tea available with a plug in kettle to boil water. The TV was adequate just very high up, and very few English available channels so we adapted. The breakfast was freshly made with different types of bread, croissants, two types of butter numerous jams. Fruit in a big basket huge assortment. And sliced meat and cheese for us two. Very nice for the price.

The bed was somewhat comfortable, the roof angles low but we knew that in advance. I never hit my head I'm 6'4". Too far out from any train, cab etc... The nearest train station La Louvre is not at all handicap or disability set up. Many stairs and no easy access to any train, more steps, no elevators. Cabs were expensive once we dropped off the rental car. The big issue for us is no free access to the electric gate either the walk through metal gate or the one that opens for guests to leave at our leisure. Many locked doors on the way to the backyard, and where you park your car. You cannot leave without notifying the owners, the same for the front door There is a key pad for the parking area gate, although not offered when asked. Not a fan of restrictive access while on vacation hence the eight out of ten.

Zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw, lekker ontbijt. Kamer zeer degelijk en goed compleet. Voor deze prijs echt een meer als prima verblijf gehad.

Chciałbym serdecznie podziękować za bardzo miły pobyt w Le Castillon. Mimo że spędziłem tu tylko jedną noc, było to naprawdę wyjątkowe doświadczenie. Właściciele są niezwykle mili, serdeczni i gościnni, dzięki czemu od razu można poczuć się jak u siebie. Atmosfera miejsca jest bardzo przyjemna i spokojna. Życzę Państwu dużo zdrowia, długiego życia oraz wielu zadowolonych gości w przyszłości. Z przyjemnością wróciłbym ponownie!

Heel vriendelijke en behulpzame gastheer/gastvrouw. Slaapkamer en badkamer waren heel netjes. Warme ontvangst, en we kregen een uitgebreid, verzorgd ontbijt met o.a. zelfgebakken brood en zelfgemaakte confituren (wel 20 soorten). Heel sympathiek.

Ontbijt was super en een ruime kamer, super lieve mensen.

Un petit bémol pour les "grands" que nous sommes : les pièces étaient mansardées, en particulier la salle de bain.

Le manque de confort au niveau du matelas et la literie très légère pour la température. Pas de couette.

Die Gastgeberin ist eine bezaubernde Frau, die auch Englisch kann. Es war wie im eigenen Zuhause

Betten sind etwas hart, aber man kann trotzdem gut schlafen

Der herzliche Empfang und dass wir so gut versorgt wurden. Wir konnten unsere Fahrräder sicher unterstellen nach einem kalten anstrengenden Tag und Monsieur hat für uns Pizza bestellt, damit wir nicht noch einmal los mussten. Die Atmosphäre war sehr familiär und freundschaftlich. Zum Frühstück hatten wir die Wahl zwischen 20 selbstgemachten Marmeladen, ein Traum. Ein total leckeres Frühstück! Sehr zum Empfehlen für alle, die es gemütlich und familiär mögen.

Hotes tres accueillants, on se sent un peu comme chez soi. Superbe petit dejeuner. Notre hotesse nous a offert 22 confitures et gelées différentes, toutes faites maison. Une véritable dégustation. Acces a un grand espace abrité a l'extérieur pour manger, etc. Nous aurions accordé une note de 7 pour la chambre et 10 pour les hotes.

Chambre exigue. On ne peut bouger. Confort des lits moyens. Aménagements ayant besoin d'etre rafraichis (porte de salle de bain qui ne ferme pas, etc.).

Accueil chaleureux hote à l'écoute. Grande chambre avec salle de bain privé. Petit déjeuner fait maison copieux et excellent. Un endroit où on ce sent comme à la maison je recommande vivement.

Chambre bien équipée, confortable et proposant tout ce qui est nécessaire (on a même pu emprunter un jeu de cartes). Excellent petit déjeuner, espace pour manger sous la pergola, frigo et taque disponibles. À 15 min des attractions touristiques majeures de la région (keramis, canal, Bois du Luc, Mariemont...), restaurants et snacks proches. Accueil comme à la maison et très bon rapport qualité prix.

Gastvrij lief echtpaar. Prima kamer en badkamer. Lekker geslapen al was het bed voor de man (2.00 meter) wat aan de kleine kant. Een heerlijk ontbijt met vele zelfgemaakte jammetjes. We kregen een rondleiding door de tuin met vele soorten (fruit)bomen waar de eigenaar enthousiast over vertelde. We mochten eind van de middag gebruik maken van de serre om onze meegebrachte boterhammen op te eten. Alles is netjes en schoon. De auto kon op het eigen terrein staan. Een fijne adres voor ons op doorreis.

Het schuine dak in de slaapkamer en badkamer maken eigenlijk dat het fijne ruimtes zijn om in te verblijven

Not a criticism as we knew this was a remote location for shops restaurants. Nearest place was about 2km a pizzarea that we used and was very good.

Una colazione fantastica con pane e marmellate fatte in casa, persona stupenda la signora Cristiana. Vale la pena.

Un acceuil exceptionel, les propriétaires sont d'une grande gentillesse et surtout attentif au confort des clients. Alors parlons du (petit) déjeuner, vous y avez une bonne dizaine de confitures maison, 3 sortes de pains des croissants, du jambon du fromage, des fruits , des yaourts et j'en oublie ..... Pour résumer les hotes font tout ce qu'ils peuvent pour vous rendre le sejour magnifique .

Ein sehr nettes Ehepaar hat uns herzlich begrüßt und man konnte sich auch auf Englisch angenehm unterhalten. Die Zimmer waren ordentlich und sauber. Das Frühstück mit hausgemachten Croissants und dem Brot war besonders.
