Reviewed Sep 19, 2026La localisation est top. Le bâtiment est bien entretenu. Le personnel est top. Le dortoir est bien aussi avec des rideaux, grands lockers et espace pour se changer.
Les toilettes manquent un peu d'intimité, Les douches sont souvent froides si on se lave le soir.

2 of the 3 showers were broken. You could still use them but you could not attach them properly to the wall. The facilities are definitely not as pretty as the photos. I had a medium-sized suitcase that barely fit ny designated locker so cannot recommend if you have a big suitcase .

洗面所のドライヤーが壊れていて使えませんでした。

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026I stayed in a women's room with 6 beds for 5 days. The room, toilets, and bathrooms were all clean. I think the bathrooms were small, but that wasn't a problem for a short trip. The location is very central, very good. Thank you for the coffee and cake in the mornings. The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. If I come to Athens again, I will stay here again.

Reviewed Sep 6, 2026La ubicación es excelente, muy cerca del metro tanto para ir como para volver al aeropuerto. También cerca de todo y hay un buen ambiente en general. La habitación amplia, con espacio para colgar la ropa y guardar tus cosas. Las heladeras muy ordenadas y limpias, al igual que la cocina.
El baño de mujeres estaba siempre muy desordenado y un poco sucio.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2026The staff were excellent. The price was great and it was located very close to a train station and many of the main sites in Athens. There was a lift, a fully equipped mutual kitchen and a bar on site to order drinks from. There was a light for each bunk, a shelf, a large lock box (big enough to fit a suitcase) and a charge point. The reception is 24 hours.
The curtain didn't fully cover the bunk so you didn't have full privacy while sleeping. The keycard in to my room broke twice while there so I had to go down to reception straight out of the shower to get it repaired. There are no lights in the shower once the curtain is pulled over and the bathroom became incredibly humid if a lot of showers had happened recently. The lift was a little bit slow.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2026I stayed many times in Bedbox. It’s so convenient for short stays because of its location. Beds are clean and comfy and staff are always helpful.
In my last stay female 6 bed dormitory on the right side was too cold. Normally there are a lighter sheet and a more warmer kind of bed sheet on the beds but this time there was only the lighter one so at one point it got really cold inside and I had hard time to sleep.

De ter check in e check out entre meia noite e 7 da manhã. A pessoa paga para dormir e descansar mas hospedes chegando e saindo de madrugada fica difícil. Estive num quarto com sacada e na porta está escrito q é zona livre de fumo. Mas um abusado fumou ali.

Reviewed Aug 28, 2026I booked a one-night stay at the Bedbox Athens hostel for August 25, 2026. Upon check-in, the young man at reception asked for my passport so he could make a copy. I showed it, but she wouldn't let me make a copy. He then told me he wouldn't check me into the hostel, even though I'd pre-paid for one night. With great difficulty, I insisted on checking into the hostel, but he said I shouldn't return to that hostel again because they have an age restriction for guests over 50. It's worth noting that a similar incident occurred a year and a half ago at the same hostel with the same receptionist. I conclude that this young man lacks the skills and desire to professionally work with guests, and the hostel administration needs to be more careful in selecting its staff.

Malgré le style industriel des intérieurs qui donne beaucoup de caractère. Je pense toutefois que le mobilier pourrait encore être amélioré pour gagner en confort : une meilleure insonorisation des murs, des rideaux de lits superposés plus longs et, surtout, un plafond sur la partie supérieure des lits afin d’éviter que la lumière des autres voyageurs ne perturbe le sommeil. L’endroit a vraiment du potentiel !

Very close to the main square and 5 min walk from metro station to go to the airport. The free ice tea is delicious. Thank you. WiFi worked well.

Reviewed Aug 13, 2026Établissement très bien placé juste à côté de la place Monastiraki, direct en métro pour le port du Piree et pour l'aéroport. Dortoir bien conçu. Style alternatif, comme une grande maison sur 6 étages. Soft offerts. Une mention spéciale pour la qualité de l'accueil, avec une pensée notamment pour Constantina, toujours agréable avec les gens, patiente et de bons conseils pour visiter. Je recommande, c'est une option parfaite pour les globe trotters ou quand vous êtes en transit sur Athènes. Ça vous permet de visiter un peu entre 2 vols ou 2 bateaux. Enjoy !
Ça reste des dortoirs avec du passage et des voyageurs qui potentiellement se lévent très tôt pour prendre l'avion. C'est le deal ! Prenez vos boules quies !

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026Elegí este hostel por la ubicación, para que fuera sencillo tomar el metro para ir al aeropuerto. Todo perfecto. Además está cerca de todo lo turístico para ir a pie. La habitación estaba bien, con bastante espacio para guardar maletas y te dan un candado. Las habitaciones me parecieron espaciosas, las cuchetas no están todas amontonadas. Tienen aire acondicionado y la cama me resultó cómoda.
Mi calificación no es 10 solamente por comparación con otro hostel en el que estuve en Atenas, pero nada más. Lo único que me molestó, pero que el hostel no tiene la culpa, es que cuando estaba lavándome las manos en el baño de mujeres, entró un hombre, sin tocar la puerta ni nada. Por suerte no me estaba cambiando o bañando.

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026This is the place. Just book it. I love & appreciate the staff. It was my first time trying a hostel. They made me feel home, welcomed and safe. I loved the Location, it’s lively, with restaurants on right and left just few steps away. The Atmosphere felt very free & inclusive. They have all basic necessities including hand soap and hand paper towel. I never had to wait on bathroom or shower. They have privacy curtains even for the bunk beds. The all the girls I had in my dorm were so sweet and kind. I genuinely enjoyed my stay and will be staying there if I ever comeback to Athens. I only have many more positive things to say. They have an elevator, AC, kitchen etc. Thank you!!!

Нема рушників. В вінній кфмнаті могло б бути чистіше, але то залежить і від мешканців.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026amazing location, as 3 girls we felt really safe. super clean bathrooms / dorms. the reception is open 24 hours and everyone who works there is so lovely, especially the woman who owns / runs the hostel - so so welcoming and kind, and makes a delicious coffee. free cake and coffee until 10 every morning, which was great, and also generous check in / out times. also lovely seats on the balcony / roof. overall just a lovely hostel run by really really lovely people

Reviewed Jul 17, 2026The location is great, the facilities are good too. But for me the main thing was the staff, they were amazing, very nice and helpful, with a special thanks to anaesthesia who helped me to order a cab and was very sensitive.
My specific bed at the does night was by the door, and the curtain didn’t help to stop the lights from the rest of the room. It was also a bit hot with the a.c, but I was in a a very very hot day so it is understandable.

Reviewed Jul 4, 2026Very good location. The room was a good size, and the bed was comfortable. The staff, including the cleaning lady, were very kind, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. There was a balcony, I had breakfast there. Very nice view.
Unfortunately, there was a man in my room on the first night who snored very loudly, and even earplugs didn't help. The shower cabin is a bit small, and there's nowhere convenient to hang your clothes. I recommend bringing a waterproof bag (for inside the shower) and a hook (for outside the shower) to keep your clothes dry while you shower.

Reviewed Jun 30, 2026The hostel is in a great location, with main attractions within walking distance. The street is peaceful and the room had a balcony and a nice view. Reception was lovely and very helpful - they kept my suitcase before and after check-in. There is an elevator too! The room is optimal for privacy - there are curtains for the beds and to divide the room between one bunk bed and the other (so if you are two friends this can give you privacy!).

Reviewed Jun 28, 2026I quit using dorms 10 years ago after a run of terrible sleep and realising that in my 40s I was expecting too much from younger dorm mates. I chose to gamble with one again for Athens this year, though. It went well. Reception staff are very helpfull, and this particular hostel had people staying who largely followed the etiquette, though note that the official quiet time only begins at 11pm through to 7am, so don't expect to nap before / after that. . It will always be a gamble who you get in your room. Each bed had a metal locker (padlock and key provided at reception) which is a good development in dorm going. Appx 5 minutes walk to Monastaraki square and its Metro. Kitchen was quite well equipped. Free filter coffee and cake in the kitchen from 7am but the "cake" wasn't exactly what I envisioned when first told about it upon check in. Overall, this gamble payed off.
On floor 3 at least, the shower cubicles are small so it will require being okay with getting changed again outside the cubicle. They don't have enough hooks in them to hang everything up and a notice advises you to put everything in a basket and leave that outside the cubicle. Aircon control in the dorm on the first night was a hot experience because although it was on, it reached the correct temperature then blew for quite some but stopped itself in the night. The next-day I enquired about this and it was resolved (I think by pressing the set button, to lock in the temperature and fan settings)
