The dive shop on property was excellent, the views were lovely and the staff was friendly

Service was very mixed. Multiple times we had to wait long periods of time to get food. One time we waited over three hours for room service and when it arrived they forgot to bring utensils and then never brought them! Also, they were very random about cleaning the room. They offered us one free breakfast for our troubles but honestly, we just wanted better service.

The room was exceptional and truly exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail was remarkable, from the thoughtful placement of the lighting, windows, and other practical touches that made the space incredibly comfortable and functional. Everything felt intentional and well designed. The room itself was among the best I’ve experienced in a local resort. The restaurant was another highlight, serving consistently delicious food that made it unnecessary to dine elsewhere. On top of that, the staff provided warm, attentive, and genuinely outstanding service throughout my stay.

Die absolute Ruhe hier. Man ist fernab vom Trubel. In Anda selbst kann man gut tauchen und Schnorcheln. Abends ist hier nichts los. Manchen Urlaubern wäre es hier zu still. Für uns war es aber genau richtig. Das Restaurant ist der Wahnsinn.

Gar nichts. Einziges Plus wäre zb ein kleines Gym. Der Yoga Raum eignet sich auch, um mit einer Matte mit eigenem Körpergewicht zu trainieren.

The location, the size of room especially bath was big, the workers from security, lobby, kitchen are very helpful snd nice. Free kayaking. Foods delicious. Everything just perfect.

Amazing spot! Literally 10 steps from a pristine beach or an incredible pool. The rooms were spacious and well provisioned. The staff are also truly fantastic and accommodated everything we needed throughout our stay. They even helped to organize 30 people to come from other resorts for dinner one night as well as transport to and from the port. The food is great and cheap for how much you get.

Most of the time it was just us at the beach (end of April) A few hundred meters from the Resort there is a very nice snorkeling and diving spot. Also a good diving school wiithin the resort. The food at the old plantation was just amazing. So many different kitchen types but all meals were well prepared. Probably the best Restaurant in Anda (Patatas Bravas ♥️) Clear recommendation

The location is absolutely amazing. The ambience, tranquility and beauty all around. The snorkeling was my favorite in this location.Absolutely worth a 2-hour drive from airport. I had been doing island hopping for 2 weeks before this hotel and definitely, this one was my top resort.. The restaurant was great.

We stayed in the village, so we enjoyed our privacy and peace and quiet. If staying in rooms, it might get a little busy with neighbours. But it is always like that)) The hotel itself and garden is love immediately.

Locatie, Het prive strand, De duik school anda scuba diving erg goede duikschool, het restaurant, het zwembad, Schoonheid van de kamers en als je aankomt ze staan gelijk voor je klaar welkoms cocktail brengen je naar je kamer! Zeer vriendelijk.

The excellent food and drinks at reasonable prices, with many varied choices. The size of the room and decent power shower. The beautiful grounds to walk around. The helpful and friendly staff. The fact it has two bars and the outside one is for smokers. Which is good as so many places allow smokers to smoke in the restaurant or bar, which I hate as a non smoker. The beach area and pool.

AC was a but noisy

It is a paradise. Simple as that. The beach is quiet and amazing, the restaurant is serving lovely food. The surrounding garden is so tranquil. If you want to relax 100% this is the place to be.

This was the best part of our trip in the Philippines—friendly staff, top-notch restaurants, a serene environment, and stunning beaches and sea. What I loved most was the restaurant; every dish was amazing. We always wanted to order more, yet was worried we wouldn’t be able to finish them. The private car tour recommended by the staff was also excellent, especially the half-day trip to Lamanok Island.

Not too much, just the location, It is quite far from the regular tourist ports and airports.

We were staying in one of the Cabanas and we absolutely love it.. very spacious, loads of storage areas. And the entire resort is a bliss, the garden is stunning.. and the staff are all nice and accommodating..It was also lovely that the owner took time to have a small talk to us..

This property is incredible! A hidden gem.

Thus hotel is exceptional in all the right ways. The staff are all super friendly, Peter is an active owner who looks after his guests, and the grounds and position are all wonderful. As other guests have mentioned, the beach is not deep, and is mainly covered in high tide, but in low tide, you can walk to along it to the town, or the diving cave pool. The food is of a very high quality. I cannot rate this Hotel and the whole experience highly enough. The diving instructor, Hubert, and his wife Delphine, who is the yoga teacher, add hugely to the overall experience. It’s unlikely we will go back given it is an 18 hour trip from home, but if we are ever able to, we wouldn’t hesitate. Do visit.

This hotel is superb. It's set in beautiful gardens with fabulous plants. We very much enjoyed touring the gardens. The restaurant was fantastic. Every dish we had was delicious, and the wine list was extensive. The staff in both the restaurant and the rest of the resort were polite and helpful. The beach area is stunning and very clean. Excellent snokelling and diving straight from the beach. Peter, our host was charming and friendly and it was a nice touch that he was there both on arrival and departure. We also enjoyed Delphines yoga classes. (Anda Yoga). It was amazing to have a lesson with such beautiful views. The Dive Centre was also very good. Immaculately run with well maintained equipment. This resort felt like an oasis of calm following our long journey from the UK. Perfect place to recover.

The room was large, comfy bed, plenty of storage, comfy sofa, big luxury shower-room. Food was very good though it often took a long time to arrive - but a faster meal was possible if you pre-ordered. Lunch and supper menus were the same - I would have preferred a separate lunch menu with lighter options

The main problem was the beach -at low tide the water was only knee high …….. & there were a lot of sea urchins, so swimming in the sea wasn’t really an option

The fact that is is a small resort, the food, the quiet, that there is no TV in the rooms, a small dive shop, that there is not much around the resort and that there is no night life. Perfect for us.

Terrific grounds, delicious food very reasonably priced, beautiful pool, and very, very accommodating staff. Rooms were attractive and it was nice not to have a tv. Beach was very small; okay early in day. Not so later with low tide.

Beautiful place to stay and happy we did so! It was super nice that the owner met us upon arrival and departure, very classy as was the whole place. Food was outstanding, room was lovely and the staff was fabulous!

I have rarely seen a legitimately 10/10 hotel/resort but this is very much it, if you’re looking for what it offers. First off, this place is remote and some of the quietest I encountered in the Philippines (apart from the gecko sounds, I must add). It has amazing rooms, which are stylish, spacious and modern in their own way. It has its own restaurant where the food is overwhelmingly good. Some dishes are even excellent and definitely make up for the in part higher prices compared to other areas in the Philippines. The private beach access is convenient and adds to the relaxing and unbothered experience. If you’re up for it, you’ll experience a vast amount of sea wildlife right there only a couple of hundred meters in. In addition you’ll be able to relax on the premise by laying next to the well maintained pool or at other spots along the preserved plantation area. But what really stood out was the professionalism, friendliness and overall excellence of the staff. Everyday they not only tended to all our needs but sometimes even anticipated our desires it felt like, while still giving enough space. Jiar (not sure of the spelling) really stood out in providing everyday help and interesting snorkeling insights. He even made sure the kayakers are safe during their expedition. I hope that Peter, the owner, acknowledges that and understands the importance of that. In the end, the staff is really what stood out and the thing to come back for.

Everything! This was our favourite hotel during our 7 weeks of travel in South East Asia. We had an amazing time, the staff was incredible, very caring and attentive, the views were out of this world and the food and drinks at the restaurant were delicious. The owner is a lovely warm person, we learnt a lot about the place from him. Oh and let's not forget the snorkelling - unforgettable. We couldn't recommend this hotel more.

The restaurant area didn't have wifi working but it wasn't such a bad thing to be "disconnected" and soak in the views.

The Hotel is great. What made it so good for us was the Staff. Very friendly, helpful and always there to help. Amazing Team. Also the ground of the hotel is wonderful. Lots of green and trees, many places to relax and have a moment to yourself or enjoy the company of others. Very well done. The Rooms and Cabanas are spread out over the entire hotel grounds so it never feels cramped or crowded. What could have improved: Perhaps a beach clean up every day would make it even better. The beach was not Dirty, but there was always a bit of litter on the beach and I believe this could be improved. Also thinking about the environment, the lights pointing to the trees could be turned off earlier at night. When visiting the restaurant, you need to know that it might take a while for your food to arrive, but once you know, you can arrange for it and it is not a problem anymore. Perhaps a further helper in the kitchen would solve this minor issue?

Small resort which is very quiet and relaxing. The sunsets are beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is an excellent scuba diving centre at the hotel, very practical.

Très bel endroit mais plusieurs points à savoir : la plage est belle mais peu praticable pour se baigner car peu de fonds, oursins et méduses, fond vaseux et mousses agglomérées à du sable qui flottent ; la salle de bain n’est pas digne de l’hôtel : joints crasseux, installations vétustes, restaurant plutôt du type international assez moyen au niveau des saveurs. Le point positif c’est surtout la gentillesse des personnes et la beauté des paysages.

First world accommodation in a semi remote area.

Great grounds, nice rooms, and a good little beach. We loved staying here and enjoyed the restaurant three meals a day.

The gardens are exquisite and the rooms have a lovely view. Both sunrise and sunset are great. If you enjoy diving or snorkeling you can paddle out 200m on a kayak yourself and see many sea turtles (They are literally everywhere).

The only downside was the sea. The beach is lovely but the sea is just below knee level for about 50m (and more at low tide). Nothing the hotel can do about it but you need to venture out a little to enjoy a swim. We found it nicer to swim further up the coast to the right of the hotel if you’re facing the sea so this is also an option.

Perfect place for vacation!

I haven’t seen the pool water recirculation system kick in, so hopefully the pool water quality has improved.

Place is quite and peaceful and next to to beach. I like the atmosphere and staffs are great. I can’t say anything bad.

Island View was superb. Peter and his staff were welcoming and always had a smile. There was no reason to go anywhere else while we were there. Secluded and peaceful with amazing grounds and private beach. We will be going back!

I booked for several nights but left after one night due to there being no television and I was traveling alone. Other than that, the place is phenominal. The owner met me when I arrived, we talked, the food was great, the grounds are wonderful. It's refreshing to know that places like this exist. If I ever need to be away from the world in comfort, this is where I would head.

The rooms are soo big, the place is so huge than in the photos. the restaurant is excellent, they have prepared so many special things for us as a group of 21 people. and everyone is so friendly and the the arrangement of all things like van rentals are on point. thanks so much!

the travel is a bit bumpy.

The accommodation was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Very spacious, comfy room with beautiful grounds right on the beach. The pool is lovely with shaded areas and the restaurant serves a wide range of delicious food. The staff were super helpful throughout my stay. I had just spent 3 weeks exploring the Philippines and this was the perfect way to end my trip. Sad I couldn't stay longer! It is about 45 mins from Jagna Port and also 2 1/2 hours from Panglao Airport. The accomodation arranged pick ups (for an added cost) which was very helpful. I highly recommend this property!

If you want, like us, to get away from the crowds of tourists, this hotel is wonderful! Two hours drive from the ferry to Anda and you will arrive at a hotel with a huge garden, an excellent pool, spacious and pleasant rooms and a stunning beach! We had a wonderful 7 day stay at Island View Beachfront Resort. Peter was a great host and the staff were friendly and helpful. The customer service was exceptional. The property is set among beautifully maintained tropical gardens and our room looked out onto the beach. The atmosphere is very tranquil and serene which made for a very relaxing holiday. The Old Plantation Restaurant on site provided wonderful meals, drinks and service. Overall a memorable stay and would definitely recommend.

Cet hôtel reculé nous a grandement impressionné par la qualité des installations. Salle à manger de grande qualité, avec beaux matériel. Villa spacieuse avec douche extérieure (pour la villa supérieure avec vue). Nous avons grandement apprécié notre séjour. La route pour s'y rendre est plutôt difficile en raison des trous dans la route de terre. Nous recommandons de passer par la route qui arrive par l'Est.

The staff were super helpful and did everything to make our stay wonderful. The facilities were fabulous. Wonderful food from the restaurant, a great swimming pool overlooking the sea, and easy access to the reef for snorkelling. A clean and spacious room in wonderful grounds.

Nothing to do with the resort, but this is not the best swimming beach. Great for snorkelling but not for swimming from the beach.

This hotel was a bit more expensive than where we usually stay, but not having taken a real vacation since before COVID we thought we'd splurge a bit. Thankfully we weren't disappointed, the location, service, and facilities were all first rate and we didn't have anything to complain about for the entire stay. Things we look at reviews for are things like noise (it was very quiet, even when all the rooms were booked), the comfort of the beds (we both have hip issues that are aggravated by beds that are too hard or too soft, but these were perfect), and convenience to town (you can walk to town in half an hour or get a three wheeler for 100 php per-person, the ride just takes about 10 minutes, though you have to plan ahead as they need to call one for you before you can leave).

The breakfast was very good and the food in the restaurant was very good.

Beautiful gardens - there's even a lookout tower with amazing views! The whole resort is so lovely - and also well-organized/planned (incl. bug screens on all windows). We felt very well taken care of by all staff members. One of the most wonderful places we've ever had the privilege to stay in.

Part of the street (between the Regional Road and the resort) is in an absolutely horrible condition - our rental car was not amused! We were told by staff that service in the restaurant was slow - indeed it was, but it was also professional and friendly.

A little pricey

This stay was perfect! My boyfriend asked me to mary me during our Philipin travel. So I asked to Island view resort if they could make the room romantich. So they did! And also they prepared a romantic diner, private space with fresh flowers at the sea side. It was amazing. What a kind and helpfull staff! This was also a big plus: we wanted to do the whale shark experience but they told us they dont advise it because it is really made by human. not really a natural habitat anymore. And because we are against animal entertainment made by human, we where really happy they told us the truth. So thanks again

This resort was absolutely amazing. A small chunk of paradise dropped into the Philippines. The staff were lovely, the food was simply out of this world. I would not hesitate to book this resort again.

The resort is remote. You can walk along the beach at low tide to the local village but if you are looking for lots of night life this resort is not for you. It's a place for quiet reflection and relaxation. Absolutely fabulous. I've been 24 hours away and I'm already missing what I had.

If you're looking for tranquility, this is it!! An amazing hotel. Service is excellent, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Water heater and air conditioning work excellent. The staff goes above and beyond. The Old Plantation restaurant at the hotel is excellent. Fresh ingredients and gorgeous scenery. We flew into TAG and rented a car since the hotel is 2.5hrs away, but it is worth every minute. If you desire busy and bustling beach board walk this might not be for you, since its wonderfully secluded. Also, if you're wanting a full beach swimming experience, this one might not be for you. The beach is shallow which is common for the majority of the Bohol coastline. The hotel handsomely compensates for its virgin beaches with a beautiful infinity pool. The hotel only accomodates a handfull of guests, which adds to the tranquil environment. The only thing that suffered was the internet signal (data and wifi) in our room, but both can be accessed in the restaurant. Would recommend this to all my family and friends

I guess the access could be an issue for some, as the hotel is located along a bumpy track, but not an issue for us.

I have never rated a facility a 10....until now. The staff was far past excellent, there are no words for the level of service given to us. If you cannot totally relax here, you are most likely clinically dead. It is a 2-hour drive from the airport, and the beach is wonderful for us, but many most likely would not call this a beach. We loved the walk to the local town beach at low tide, great walk and well worth the trip, with many dining options available there. Our chef was world class, I am still in shock that she was not trained in some high-class culinary institute, but in fact is a local Filipina chef. Every different item we had were fabulous. the grounds were fantastic and recommend climbing the on-site tower for a breathtaking view. I cannot compliment this resort any higher, if you know how to chill...this is your place, period!
