The location is excellent and it’s so beautiful and quiet. The garden is lovely also

La sécurité des villas n’est pas du tout assurée. Des personnes se sont introduite la nuit dans le jardin et un homme a tenté de forcer la porte de la chambre de mon fils à une heure du matin. Le propriétaire des villas ne s’est manifesté que le dernier jour face a notre insistance en nous expliquant que ce devait être des animaux alors que mon fils a bien vu un homme cherchant à ouvrir la porte de sa chambre. De plus l’eau chaude ne fonctionnait pas et les précédents occupants de la maison avaient laissé leurs chaussettes sales sur le parasol de la piscine. A fuir !

Decor was odd but different. The bed was short so had to sleep on angle. Staff always leave windows open after clean and mosquitos were bad at night, despite having mosquito nets over beds.

Everything, the location, the vibe, the staff, the cleanliness. Couldn’t not fault it.

I don’t usually write reviews but this villa was just perfect. It was stunning Bali vibes and very clean. The staff were great, the location was perfect - walking distant to the beach and a shop next door.

Everything about the Villa is Aesthetic, clean, well maintained.

1 point less for the salty tap water. Im not sure why because this is my first encounter with salty tap water in Bali. Otherwise it’ll be 10/10

The location to start with. How beautiful was the interior decor of all the 3 villas. The cleanliness was top notch. Yudi the caretaker of the property was such an amazing lady, she made sure that we won’t have any discomfort while we stayed there. She was available with one phone call. An absolutely sincere person. Would love to come back and stay there next time.

We loved our stay! Everything was close by a short walk or using a grab but it was tucked away making it quiet and peaceful. Each bedroom was separate from the others so we could come together as a family but could also get our own time away when we wanted it. The setting was so beautiful. I couldn't take any photos that did it justice. It really is like the photos on the listing and website!! staff were lovely and attentive without being intrusive. First time I've stayed in a villa in Seminyak but I would definitely stay here again

There was no room service as such but a cafe did do deliveries but the cafe they use is not close. there are a couple of great cafes in the street that would have been a better option, IMHO

The property was amazing, super nice, super comfortable and a very decent size. I would definitely come back. I travel with a baby and a cot and hi-chair was probaided.

Maybe the cooking appliances could be better, since I was planning to cook for the baby. Smaller pots would be perfect. Also, a better frying pan and a newer toaster would be appreciated.

We thought this villa was amazing, so beautiful and peaceful. The decor was gorgeous. It was very close to the beach and everything Seminyak has to offer - already planning to go back!

Loved the Villa! Everything was very clean and well organized. The staff is fenomenal, super friendly and helpful. They organize for you everything you need from food to laundry. They wait for you with welcome drinks and offer a turn down service ensuring there are no mosquitoes around. Villa manager is very friendly and always ready to help. We enjoyed every single moment there.

The photos don’t even do this place justice, it is just an incredible space. We loved everything about the property. The interior and decor is incredible! Best villa I have ever seen!

If I were being absolutely critical - would be great if the shutters opened properly as the bedrooms could use additional light. But this is personal preference the villa is incredible!

Stunning Villa stay in Bali, truly one of the most beautiful villa designs i've ever seen. Super comfortable and wonderful and very attentive staff. The food to order in and the massages were very easy to arrange and we LOVED the villa as a whole.

We did have an incident with adjacent guests (a group of men) climbing and peering/taking videos with a flashlight into our villa and being very loud at 1am at which time only one of us girls was home and frightened. This was dismissed as electrical trouble for them the next day but rattled the villa in regards to safety.

Perfect lication. laid back and quiet. Big villa and swimming pool. Close to the beach and the center. Great privacy.

It was so peaceful and quiet yet central to the hussel and bussel when needed. Jenny attended to all of our needs, even ironing and cloths alterations. Thankyou for making our stay so seamless and easy.

I found locking my door key a little tricky but got the hang of it in the end!

Stunning traditional Balinese style villa. Location was perfect, close enough to the main Seminyak streets, but also tucked far enough away from the noise of traffic, restaurants and clubs. Ideal.

Such a beautiful villa that felt like a real home. Amazing amount of space both indoor and outside with a very large pool. Very private and quiet away from the busy traffic and crowds as the villas are down a long private driveway with gardens all around.

It would have been nice to have on site eatery for breakfast. There was an order in menu available however. A little bit of walking to get to the main shopping area.

The asthetic of the Desu Villa in Seminyak was stunning. The service was lovely, we loved the turn down service and kind host. We loved the privacy at the villa.

There were mosquitos in the afternoon and evening - so when shutting all the doors to avoid mosquitos, it got quite warm inside - the bedrooms were a good temperature but the living area was very warm.

the access is through small roads, difficult if you drive a car. the room too dark. lighting need to be updated.

If you are thinking about booking this villa - do not hesitate! We were in the round house and it was absolutely amazing. Well equipped and spacious living and kitchen area. Huge comfortable sofas and although it is open, there are fans to keep you cool. Two of the bedrooms are on the main building and both adjoin to a huge bathroom. The other bedroom is separate, again with a large bathroom with outside shower. Beds were super comfortable. There is a large covered chill out area in the garden. Pool is a decent size and warm water but still refreshing. The whole place is filled with beautiful, traditional Balinese furniture and fittings and decorated in beautiful colours. It was a joy spending time there. It is a little walk into Seminyak but taxi bikes are plentiful. There is a lovely little cafe about a 5 minute walk away that serves nice food. Overall, this place is super value for money and a really lovely place to stay.

Just lovely - perfect for a 3 couple reunion. The ambience is as the pictures depict. The bathrooms in each of the 3 rooms are particularly enticing - all unique, yet each as beautiful as the next. And the pool is a decent size - I think it was about 10m. All bedrooms are air-conditioned. The beautiful decor and furnishings - everything was so beautifully planned.

The lounge was extremely hot during the time we were there, though that did add to the appeal of the pool. The bathroom we were in had a lock that was slightly stuck and it took ages to figure it out, so we didn't lock our bathroom again for fear of being locked in. The socket behind the bed was out of the wall, so that seemed a bit dangerous, so we didn't touch it even though it had the adaptor for extra plugs. So slight maintenance is needed.

Charming style and lovely staff.

The whole place was AMAZING! The pool was incredible and it was so nice to have surrounding vegetation providing shade to the pool.

A very stylish place that is well maintained, cosy and stylish. Houses are nicely equipped with anything you might need including cooking facilities and mosquito nets for all beds. We also enjoyed the area around - the place is located on a quiet and clean street with a little temple by the entrance.

This was the first place out several we visited where we actually saw quite a number of mosquitos. Which I don't think a problem outside of the rainy season. Flushing in the toilets could work a little better but this not a huge problem. Generally the place is a very good value for money and done with love and attention to detail.

The individuality of each villa. The obvious careful consideration that has gone into creating such a lovely serene place to stay in the middle of busy Seminyak. The staff were professional and caring.

Loved everything.

The staff were exceptional in every respect. Our group of 9 had the connected Garden House and White House, and we just had so much space to sprawl out and relax. The photos don't really do the place justice. The patios, gardens and pool areas are beautifully laid out. The rooms and furnishings are a testament to good taste. Everyone was very impressed.

We were allowed to move our check in two hours earlier than planned, so grateful for that. Pool & setting was inviting, and the beds were the most comfortable experienced this trip. The master bedroom & ensuite score high. Quiet spot- Balinese getaway.

We arrived in the middle of a humid and stormy February- so the living areas struggled with just fans & mosquitoes were very friendly.

Generally it was a delight.

On one occasion it was impossible to reach any of the three people named for emergency contact. This is not only dangerous given any possible situation it tarnishes the actual stay.

The property is a stunning getaway and so much thought into the interior design and the very fine details in the furnishings to make a very unforgettable unique experience. The staff were available and helpful. It felt safe.

I couldn’t get use to the rusty and salty waters from the taps and showers. But they did provide bottles of filtered water and glasses for brushing our teeth. And ample drinking water. Also a place to wash clothes and hang them out to dry would have been a bonus.

Great location. Walk everywhere. Great coffee and breakfast a short stroll away. Friendly staff. Better than the pictures.

The location was great and it was styled beautifully.

The bathroom was very hot with no way to keep it cool. The fans in the living area were way too noisy and not very effective. It needs one big fan in the centre where the giant chandelier is. The water coming out of the shower smelt quite bad, so after the first shower we had we didn't use it again.

We had an amazing week long stay at the Island Houses. We stayed in the Round House and it was absolute perfection. A super spacious and well equipped kitchen and living area. The bedrooms were the perfect size for our family of 4. The bathroom was stunning with two toilets, a double shower and amazing bath tub. The pool was lovely and the outdoor covered area near the pool was the perfect spot to relax while the kids were having a swim. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The villa was secure and the complex had a security officer as well. The location was great and just a short walk to the beach for sunset.

We loved our stay at the Island Houses Seminyak! The garden villa was full of eclectic, mismatched furniture which just worked so well together! The inside/outside shower was so fab. We loved having a full kitchen, lounge and two bedrooms. The pool and outside area was big and clean. We got takeaway every morning from the cafe up the road called Local coffee, sometimes I walked up there 3 times a day! Epic coffee and amazing smoothies. Location is fantastic, really close to the beach, flea market and 15min walk to the main restaurant strip of Seminyak. We will be back Island Houses!

One of the bedrooms of the garden villa is separate to the main house which I didn’t realize. My 6yr was too hesitant to sleep out there with her brother so my husband and I had to share beds with the kids. 1 adult and 1 child per bedroom. Would be perfect for slightly older kids, my 8yr old was completely fine out there. We found taxi’s generally don’t know where The Island Houses location is which was hard. Trying to negotiate a fair taxi price while the taxi can’t figure out where to go was tricky and I had to get out of a couple of taxi’s. BUT in the end I told the taxi drivers to go to the flea market and I would direct them from there (only 500m or so from the flea market). This worked perfectly every time once I figured this out.

Our stay at the Island Houses (White Villa) was incredible. The staff were very friendly and always available if we needed and so kind to us and our daughter It is in a very quiet location but so close to all the hustle and bustle of Seminyak - such a great location. It felt very private at the end of a long driveway, and in the evenings there is security at the gate - a lovely gentleman to keep an eye on things. The villa is so beautiful and uniquely furnished, we loved it. So handy to be able to WhatsApp with Cafe Bali and have so many yummy dishes delivered to our villa. Also super handy to order anything from Gojek. There is also really good coffee places that only take a few mins to walk to and a couple of 24hr minimarts as well. We had our laundry picked up and delivered back to us (same day!) by Lucky Laundry. So cheap as well.

It was hot when we visited Bali, and while the bedrooms are air-conditioned really well, the main living area has no AC, so it was a bit uncomfortable to sit in the living area. The windows/doors don't have flyscreens, so we preferred not to leave them open to avoid mosquito problems. There was fans in the living room however. It would be great if airconditioning was installed in the living room!

We stayed in the Africa House, probably the nicest place I’ve ever stayed. So aesthetically pleasing! Whoever designed this place deserves a pat of the back. Seriously so cool. Its even bigger than what it shows in the photos. the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Staff were very accomodating although just a heads up they let themselves in without warning at times. We had them there for a couple of hours one day doing laundry in the back part of the property. So if you’re into nudie swims maybe let them know not to disturb. Also you hear a lot of scooters, roosters and dogs all hours of the night, I put white noise on my phone to drown out the sound. 2 out of the 3 showers did not have hot water working.

One cannot pay with debit or credit card. We had to use an app called Wise and it cost us half a day of our time to figure out how to wire the money etc. So if you have the time, it is not an issue but for busy people I would recommend to book something more convenient where one can simply use a card or pay in cash on arrival.

The location could not have been more perfect situated in a beautiful long sone tiled lane with the other 5 Island houses. The most divine coffee and food (fave was the brioche French toast) a one min stroll away you didn't have to go near the Main Street....place was just called coffee. Desa house was absolutely beautiful exactly as the images show.
