Early check out 10am too early

We have been several times. This time was a short stay but it was just as comfortable as always with plenty of room in the villa.

The big indoor pool was closed so there were a lot of people in the other room. There was another person staying in the hotel who started a fight with a bunch of kids, and then myself and my husband. It was pretty crazy and when staff finally showed up nothing was done with the lady who was harassing people.

Great location, full kitchen, en suite bathrooms in each bedroom, balcony, clean, bracelet "keys" made it easy to access room and amenities. Apartment-style set up is perfect for families and groups of friends traveling together. Parking was assigned and easy, views were very pretty and the property was clean and quiet.

No elevator, amenities are a far walk and down many stairs from some units - not accessible. One bedroom had an open bathroom with the shower and sink out in the bedroom. This should be enclosed for privacy and to prevent disturbing the other person in the room. Extra pillows and towels would be nice, everything was clean and in good working order though - just what we needed.

Family oriented activities

The apartment was very dated. It was super noisy in the bedroom as the entire buildings air conditioners were running all night outside our wall. The sofa bed was not very comfortable.

Love having a ‘condo’ instead of a hotel for an overnight stay with friends. Super convenient to Tanglewood.

Unfortunately, the pickleball courts are a tennis court with lines for pickleball. Would love to see actual pickleball court. Would make a weekend of it with a group of friends. If there is concern about noise - can limit hours that it is open. The tennis courts were empty when we were there. A waste of real estate. 😁

Great location in the middle of the berkshires. They offer so many activities for when it’s nice out or rainy. The kitchen is well stocked. We loved the big tub too. Check in was easy and quick. It felt a little like summer camp!

Lots of children, not bad but something to be aware of. Otherwise nothing to complain about

The location was a bit off the beaten track but the facility was nice and the room was large and very clean.

They started sawing trees or something at 7:30 AM close outside my room. Seemed a bit early for a vacation location The checkin experience was a bit strange.

Our unit was sparkling clean and had everything needed for a weekend retreat. The grounds were delightful and we already look forward to returning.

Bedbugs! Beware! I am writing this review to warn potential guests about a bed bug issue in two separate buildings. We always check hotel rooms for bed bugs. After checking into our room, we lifted up the mattress and found half of a dead bed bug. We took a clear photo of it at the time. When I called to speak to the front desk, the lady told me that it was probably a roach. I'm not okay with sleeping with roaches under my mattress, either. They offered to put us in a different building, but we declined, and opted for a hotel. We moved to the hotel. The Holiday Inn in Pittsfield/Lenox is new, and very nice! We figured that the bed bugs were an isolated incident. Two people (my in-laws, who booked/paid for our timeshare) stayed in a different building here. Last night, I was SHOCKED to learn that they returned home with severe reactions: One family member came home with bites covering both of his legs. Another developed welts all over her back. We hung out in their room, and now I'm worried that we brought them home, because we had an open bag filled with board games that we left on their living room floor for a few hours. BEWARE of this property. Huge black bears roaming near the rooms going through large, UNLOCK garbage bins. One bear was outside our room. Back bears will attack. No signage. Negligent management. In addition, we were with a large block of rooms attending a wedding at the Edith Wharton House. Two nice pairs of slacks were destroyed by the iron in our room. I took the iron, both pants, and a note to the front desk for management to look at. We asked for nothing in return even though we had to race out and purchase presentable clothing. A couple weeks after returning home, a female manager sent a snide email accusing us of using the iron on a medium or high setting. Both slacks were ironed on a low setting. Shame on her. Many people stayed there with our group. We did not have the audacity to tell the wedding party of this second faulty iron issue, and rain on their joy. Most people were made aware of the bears by other guests, not management. It will be interesting how this manager tries to spin her way out of this dangerous day and night situation involving unlock garbage bins and black bears eating strewn garbage throughout the resort.

There are so many things… the amenities were amazing. The heated indoor and outdoor pools were well kept - the game room, the poolside bar and miniature golf course added extra fun!! Our 2 bedroom villa was in the perfect location for us. It was near the activities but yet had some privacy. The villa itself was clean and comfortable. It was perfect for a Mother daughter birthday get away.

The appliances were older but in fine working order - if you are looking a family friendly place or somewhere to just get away A this is the perfect place.

The location was great. Easy access to Stockbridge, Lenox, Lee, Great Barrington, grocery stores, the Mass Pike. The staff were very responsive. The kitchen was pretty well equipped.

The carpet should be replaced. It would have been very helpful to have enough coffee filters for my 12 night stay.

It is vary dated but worse there is a big wild bear invasion We were twice walking and a huge bear came out of the woods. Scared us to death Called office and was on hold 20 minutes and told “get use to it”

A few times we had to park quite far from our room. We were never made aware that there were no elevators. We were assigned a third floor room which did not work for us. Fortunately, the staff found 1(only 1) first floor room for us. The room was fine, but one of the 2 showers did not work.

We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay at Holiday Inn Club Vacations Oak N Spruce Resort in the Berkshires. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the resort offered plenty of amenities for families, including pools, game areas, and walking paths. The location was perfect for exploring Lee, Stockbridge, and nearby attractions, and the property felt peaceful throughout our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance.

Amenities and friendly staff

Put us on 3rd floor with 2 elderly parents. Very difficult going up and down stairs. Also have a step on pool deck that blends, observed many people over weekend miss the step, trip. Unfortunately my 76 year old mother missed that step, fell, damaged her knee, hand, elbow and back. Pool staff (bartender at pool) witnessed yet security was never called. We and other patrons helped my mother up and tended to her injuries. Several other patrons who witnessed fall also reported it yet no one from hotel management or security ever reached out to us. This happened our first day there - my poor mom was stuck in room unable to walk for remainder of our 4 day stay.

It was clean and new. Almost everything worked well from checking in to checking out.

We were missing a sheet for the sofa bed, and the upstairs sofa drained very slowly. Also, the stairs were pretty narrow. Difficult for those who might have an injury or are older.

The early, I guess, automated messaging I got listed bunch of NOs and other rules which was very off-putting. There are certainly better ways to welcome guests than sending them a list of all the things they can’t do. It was requested that we run the dishwasher when we checked out but there was no detergent (or dishwashing soap either).

Place was clean, had everything that we needed, were helpful when we did have a problem.

A bug was found in the one bed.

The showers need an improvement, the surface can be slippery when the water is turned on.

We stayed at this property for a week in mid June 2026. Our unit was a two bedroom, two bath at the top of the hill, which means it was further away from the pool area. It was incredibly peaceful. The back deck faced the woods, and we had a view of hills from the front. The bed was very comfortable, as was all the furniture. Any time we had an issue (a strange beeping noise, a clogged drain, lack of internet after a storm), the staff quickly responded. There's an outdoor pool, two indoor pools, and an indoor hot tub. Plenty of decking and seating around. Lots of outdoor games like mini golf and sand volleyball, plus a short nature trail. There were also indoor games and a small arcade. There are more amenities than these, but we spent most of our time exploring the Berskhires and hiking. This property is close to Tanglewood if you are interested in their summer concert series. Food is quite limited on property, but the kitchen in our unit was enough we could make food. However, we really enjoyed the restaurants in the center of Lee. Our stay here was excellent.

Friendly staff. Easy checkin. Units were comfortable and well maintained. Not overly glitzy.

Matched the wooded mountainous theme. Mini golf and pool area layout/ were ideal for families with different age groups to “parallel play “ in one area.

We liked having 2 bathrooms in our unit and space in the unit, as well as having a spacious king size bed. In the past we also enjoyed the arcade room when traveling with our toddler. We like that there is a mini golf course though we haven’t had time to play. Also we enjoyed relative proximity to good restaurants in Lenox, as well as having a functional decently equipped kitchen. Some of the meals we prepared for ourselves and for some we went out. Also, proximity to hiking trails is nice.

One of the hot tubs was not working. I thought the gym area was a bit underwhelming. There is definitely space there for a little more equipment, perhaps another cable machine, more / better benches (current ones are pretty basic and not very sturdy), maybe kettlebells or more dumbbells (up to 90 or 100 lbs) or TRX area. Also it would be nice if both tennis court areas had lines drawn for pickleball. Currently only one of them does. This was not a big deal for us because it was not crowded during our stay.

Love the area. Wish breakfast was available on property.

It is not easy to get around - lots of stairs and no elevators. Even walking around paths with step ups or downs don't have hand rails. Even adding those would be super helpful.

Lots of stuff to do, free mini golf, shuffleboard, has sauna, hot tub, pools,arcade with inexpensive skeeball, free movie theater. Needs the mattresses replaced and units don't have in unit Laundry. Free laundrymat is a drive away from many units.

Renovated kitchen with new stove and microwave with all new dishes, pots and pans, silverware. Wonderful!

The living room area needs more light options. Very dark.

Great location to explore the mountains of Lee MA. The setting was very nice right next to the woods. The rooms were very large and clean.

Good and relaxing family trip. Lot of things around. Need your own vehicle. Can cook own food, BIGy super market is near by. Can locate good Indian restaurants in 10km vicinity.

This place was gorgeous from A to Z. Between the location and the room, we were in awe. We had a small apartment. Amenities were off the charts. We really enjoyed our time in the Berkshires. Great hospitality and customer service. Cannot say enough.

Everything is clean and tidy. The property setting has a lot of trees and trails you can access. There are tables set up so you can enjoy the setting location. It was wonderful.

I loved everything. I loved the fact that the room was huge, and the kitchen came with everything you needed to cook. Pots, pans, dishes etc. The place is so family oriented. I found a true gem and can't wait for more trips.

Absolutely nothing everything was perfect.

The Oak N Spruce Resort has been a great experience. My second-floor (no elevator) unit (327) was close to everything: overlooked outdoor pool, bar, sand volleyball games and playground. Near mini golf and basketball court, as well as two indoor pools and hot tubs, cafe, arcade, laundry room). The grounds were well kept (nothing special, but nice). I loved the the bubbling brook that ran along our parking lot. It was refreshing to sit on a blanket with my morning cup of coffee - very refreshing.

Breakfast was not provided. The villa was huge and extremely comfortable! Kitchen had everything needed. The beds were extremely comfortable. lots of activities for kids!!

The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious. The activity center was centrally located with all amenities in one location.

We requested a first floor room but we still had 3 steps to climb. Thank goodness for an elevated walkway otherwise there would be more steps to navigate. We had called in advance to make the adjustment to no avail. We did notice several other rooms with walkways and no stairs. The resort is three stories without elevators so if you want a first floor, make sure you call them in advance. And if you need handicap accessible make sure you mention that to them. The ice maker in the room made 8 ice cubes in a 2 hour window. According to the directions on the ice maker it would take 3 days to fill the ice basket. We went to Big Y and bought ice. There were no handrails getting into the shower and once you turn the shower on, the floor is super slippery. The activity center, though centrally located, can be accessed by a maze of stairs from the upper floors where we were staying or you can drive to the area and park your car.

The entire property was very clean and well maintained. The staff was kind, friendly, and helpful. The facilities were great! Our suite was immaculate and beautiful! Thank you for the wonderful stay! We will definitely be back!!!

It would be very nice if there was complimentary coffee and tea carts, and maybe lemonade or hot chocolate for kids) in the different buildings. It just adds a welcoming feeling.

The resort location was perfect for all activities in the Berkshires. Very clean in the unit and on the grounds. Could use some updating in the unit but overall no issues. The two floor setup was nice as it gave privacy for the person on the sofa bed. The BEST sofa bed I have ever used. Comfortable and great bedding/pillows. Didn't use the activities center but it looked great for kids. Would definitely return.

We have stayed here before and since the last time we were here the property has been completely renovated and beautifully landscaped! The 2-bedroom units are on one level and we prefer that. We did have to walk up one level to get to our unit but had a beautiful view of the hillsides. This resort is for all age groups with many activities to enjoy including movies, mini-golf, and shuffleboard just to name a few. Complementary laundry is also available in a central location. The units are roomy, comfortable beds and good linens, along with ample kitchen with basic needs. The area is full of history with museums, hiking trails, falls and numerous places to eat all fairly close by. A grocery store and Outlet Store complex in within a few miles too. A great area to explore and enjoy the outdoors!

I came here for mother's day weekend with my family and it was a time! We had a great time. From the moment we walked in the staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and the beds are very comfortable. I don't experience all the amenities but we did get to check out karaoke night at the beartree bar and that was a blast! The bartender and DJ were so much fun and we all made friends that night! Definitely will be returning! Highly recommended.

Wonderful place to stay very clean and efficient. Numerous activities to participate in to keep your family busy. Quiet and relaxing. Awesome private balcony with nice with nice views.

unit is a bit dated. Could use updated kitchen. Found multiple ants in kitchen and bathroom.

Started out fine. New people came above us 3 days later. They were running and banging when they walked that the ceiling fan was shaking. Called front desk to ask them to intervene. They told me I could deal with it or move. It lasted until midnight when I called security. They did something about it. Had to do it every night. But I was the bad guy. Ever since Holiday Inn took over, this place has gone downhill fast. Have been coming here since 1998. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!

Very comfortable suite. Kitchen had everything we needed. The grounds are beautiful. Everything was neat and clean. The staff are very professional. Very impressed with the staff.

Very Clean Friendly Staff

If you are looking for a place to get away from the city hustle this could be it. The room was comfortable but a little tight for 5 people. Different activities for the kids. Things are a bit pricey if you want to buy them at the resort for convenience but it was a fun stay with the family.

Staff was accommodating and attentive. Everything was clean.

Although we have stayed at several resorts over the past 20 years the Holiday Inn Oak’N Spruce Resort is the best experience we have had due to the excellent staff and the activities offered. We highly recommend this resort!

Clean, airy and good for our group. Was able to cook food. AC was nice. Bathroom spacious and water pressure was strong. Linens and towels clean. Staff was helpful in carrying our luggage.

Bed was a bit firm and 3rd floor is a lot of stairs.

The place offer us a great deal with the nice and cozy residents.

The location a bit far from restaurants and any tourist attraction place.

We had a wonderful time, villa and facilities were all clean. The area was great, we even extended by an extra night
