The Companion

Room is exactly as you see in pictures and was very quiet during our stay. Loved it. Location is in a nice local Thai area not a city busy feel. We enjoyed walking around and finding little local places to eat and all people were friendly. We even walked to iconSiam only took about 25 mins

The size of the room

The public areas are not air conditioned, and they don't want us bring food to the room, so it was super hot when i was eating in the dining room

Very clean and quiet and the location was perfect for us.

We booked a seperate room and it was clean and comfortable...good value for money!

No lift.

The room I was staying was just perfect. It had a spacious bathroom, very comfortable bed and overall was very clean. You can also use shared kitchen, where you can find everything you need.

Beautiful minimalist place, large and clean room, beautiful and arty vibe, loved it! Bathroom is large and functional. The common areas are beautifully set and everything feels very peaceful and nice. What a great vibe!

Location isn't great. A few markets and restaurants around.

The staff

The street infront og

The best neighborhood with plenty street food options Welcoming and lovely service Great design We loved it

Sehr schön eingerichtet. Bad mit separater Dusche. Ruhig, entspannt.

I enjoyed the room set up and ammendities

I wasnt a fan of how steep the stairs were. I tripped a couple of times going up and down

Very cozy place to stay with a truly timeless design. Bedroom temperature is good and very quiet at night.

The place is perfect, but Bangkok was raining a lot during my stay. I get to spend more time resting in the common area.

comfortable, very clean and in a quite area. stylish decor and has the necessary amenities

the water is usually cold but if you click the reset button on the controller, hot water will come out!

Private double room was huge and super comfortable. The hostel is quiet and modern and has great communal areas. Staff were friendly and answered questions quickly via WhatsApp to help us during our stay.

Room does get light as soon as the sun comes up as it has sheer curtains and exposed windows. Take into consideration if you can’t sleep in the light.

👍👍👍

Tolle Unterkunft in super Lage!

Perfect Location, Amazing Staff, Clean Property.

Everything was clean, the staff was great, and the room was amazing, it exceeded my expectations!

Staff were amazing beautiful and friendly, I just loved. The bed was comfy

The cleanliness and Helpful Staff are the best. The Mixed Dorm has great 3.5ft beds, which are more comfortable than those of the other hostels. They nicely helped me print out the documents for my application late at night.

Nothing I can say

The cleanliness is as good as it look in the picture. Very satisfied with the room and the location.

Nothing. Will come back on next trip.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Companion — it felt more like a peaceful, private retreat than a typical hostel. The entire property is beautifully designed and well maintained. For a shared environment, it was incredibly quiet and serene. I didn’t see any other guests throughout my entire stay, which made it feel unusually calm and restful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The shared kitchen was clean and well-equipped, with a fridge that had cold bottled water — a thoughtful touch. The freezer wasn’t even in use, so there was plenty of extra space available if needed. I did hear some noise once during my first night, which let me know there were other guests, but I never heard anything after that and never saw anyone else. The location is great — there’s an incredibly affordable fruit market just a short walk away that I highly recommend. The only other minor issue was that the microwave in the kitchen stopped working on my last day, even though it had been working fine before. Overall, it was a really lovely stay. Despite a few small issues, I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

On checkout day, the cleaners were speaking very loudly while cleaning nearby rooms. My one complaint is that they should be more mindful of their volume — some guests might still be asleep, especially if they're checking out at noon. Another area for improvement is WhatsApp communication. Messages weren’t answered promptly, which can be inconvenient when you need assistance. I needed to store my bags after checkout, and it took some effort to get a response. Eventually, someone came after I called and kindly allowed me to keep my bags until about 5:45 PM, which I really appreciated

I’d like to give a big shoutout to the wonderful staff. Although they didn’t speak English, they were incredibly kind and welcoming throughout my stay. When I was checking in, I noticed one of the staff members with a bunch of fresh lychees. Curious, I asked her where she got them from, but she simply shook her head—so I assumed she either didn’t understand or didn’t want to share, and I let it go. To my surprise, when I returned to my room later that evening, I found a bag of fresh lychees hanging on my door. It was such a thoughtful and touching gesture that truly made my day. Aside from this sweet experience, the rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The care and generosity of the staff really stood out and added a special touch to my stay.

The common areas do not have air conditioning. And the location can be a bit out of the way and away from major tourist attractions, but I did not mind since I wanted peace and quite

Perfect and for sure I will repeat again and again

Nothing all perfect

I like the cleanliness and the shower. It was very relaxing.

No elevators

Very stylish minimalistic apartment. Not noisy. Walkable to BTS station. Small common room with TV, some boardgames, kitchen, table, etc. Lotus, Tops, 7/11, a Otteri laundry and some restaurants nearby. More mature hostel type, not for young party people. Next time I'll book this place again.

Location not super central but totally fine. BTS 5 min walk or Bolt 200B to central Sukhumvit area.

This is actually my second time here in The Companion. At first I thought this place wont give what we expect but everything went so so so well! We took 3 rooms. Bunk beds are really really comfortable with own sockets, air conditioners function well! owners are very sensitive to our needs. 101% that is how i will rate it! Thanks The Companion, til next time!!!!

None

What’s not to like? The bedding was the softest we have ever experienced and had the pleasure of sleeping in, it was like laying in a cloud. The room was light, bright and airy with high ceilings. Located in a great area, spoilt for choice of food and drink, shops and laundry. A short walk to a BTS station too. And the staff were a delight!!

The curtains let a lot of light in but that’s the only negative!

Everything! The room was very spacious and super clean. The staff really nice and sweet

Maybe the location wasn’t too convenient but still good

Clean cozy and in an local area. We loved roaming the alleys, although it may not be ideal for a first visit to see the greatest bangkok hits. The lady who took care of it is lovely. Thank you very much!

Lovely hosts, big room and all very clean.

Location isn't ideal but not far from a sky train station.

For the price it was great. We had a private room with bunk beds and curtains for privacy. Bathrooms just for us. It was clean. Only a 5ish minute walk to the metro. Plenty of stores and food nearby. Laundry across the road. Nice kitchen and hang out area available. Lots of books, games, bean bag chairs, and big TV.

We were on the 4th floor so lots of stairs. No elevators. Got plenty of exercise though! Each bunk had its own light but not all of them worked.

everything was exceptional.

i wish there's an elevator for the heavy luggage

Perfect location Super close to the bts station Staff are extremely nice The best shower I had in Thailand

Spotlessly clean with the perfect configuration for our group. We had a private bunk room with two showers, two toilets and a communal sink. Plenty of storage for gear and the air con could be cranked to sub-Arctic for my kids who were suffering in the heat. Not cramped, lounges to hang out in with a PlayStation.

My kids moaned about walking up four flights of stairs to our room but quickly got used to it.

Gorgeous huge rooms, with lovely staff. Would happily return.

Slightly let down by the lack of regular cleaning of the rooms (only once in 7 days), and the machinery noise from an adjacent workshop (8am to 6pm only, but means no sleeping in).
