Sublime !!! les petites maison traditionnelles malaisiennes sont vraiment typique mais avec tout le confort d'un hôtel, il y a en pret des kimonos, tongues en paille, baignoire en bois, toute la décoration et les accessoires sont choisi avec soin. La piscine flottante dans le lac est vraiment magnifique, le restaurant et petit déjeuner sont copieux et bon. A 5 min de l'aéropot, 15 min en taxi environ du centre de Cenang. Je vous conseille d'aller réaliser un atelier de Batik (peinture sur tissus) à 5 min en taxi de l'hotel

I could not think of a single reason why this accommodation does not have a review score of 10, or why this accommodation would have a single bad review. This place was the most amazing place we have ever stayed at. When booking you could pick your own villa, because they all differ from each other and are original. You will stay in a centuries old Malaysian villa and why one could be scared that this would not pleasant: think different, because this was the best hotel experience ever. The villas are equipped with a good airconditioning and even more amenities than someone would need. The property hangs Batiks in the bathroom (which you could buy, tip ;)), wicker flip flops, gives soft towels for the pool, a mosquito net around the bed, UV-umbrellas, mosquito repellent, DEET and even more. Wooden bathtub was such a cool and relaxing experience and bathroom/living room were so cutely decorated. You can easily taxi to Pantai Cenang all day and night within 10 minutes by Grab! Villas are spacious, cool, you can open all windows, there are no bugs or insects inside, since the wooden villa is equipped with netting in-between of the seams of e.g. the wooden walls. Rooms are very cozy and comfortable and the beds slept amazing. The pool was the best experience as it really floats in the swamp! Pool is perfect temperature and the sun beds were on a perfect place in the sun. Views of the property are beautiful since there is a pretty lake next to the property. Breakfast was delicious as it was traditionally Malaysian. And if you do not like that, the staff is more than happy to create another meal during your relaxing day here since the menu is very extensive and so yummy! Tip: try the fresh mango juice! The most amazingly friendly and genuine staff who were there everyday to help you with everything to make your stay even more exceptional. They were so kind, personal and made us have the best stay ever here. BIGGEST recommendation in Langkawi!!! We will be back!

Er was een was service en iedere dag werd het huisje lekker schoongemaakt. Dat personeel was enorm aardig!

Het ontbijt viel tegen en ook het personeel in het restaurant. De jonge lachte nooit en kon geen tot slecht Engels.

Een prachtig hotel, ideaal om je onder te dompelen in het traditioneel Maleisië. En toch ook met de nodige luxe. Je hoort echt niets van het vliegveld, wat onze grootste twijfel was. De tuin en vijver zijn prachtig, de kamers zijn heel ruim en mooi.

The cleaning team came up to make the room and bring fresh towels every day. They also sprayed the houses with bug repellent to prevent excessive bug infestation.

Rooms are wooden with cracks in the floor and the walls which allow some bugs and lizzies to get in. The breakfast is also very mid and without nice options in my opinion. A bad value for money option as we paid 120€ per night.

Meer dan fantastisch! 🤩 Alles was geweldig. Het hele terrein is bizar mooi en het zwembad is echt adembenemend, zo mooi! Wat een bijzondere inkijk in de Maleisische cultuur. En dan de mensen die hier werken… de liefste, meest bescheiden en warmste mensen die er bestaan. ❤️ Het liefst neem je ze allemaal mee terug naar Nederland. De prachtige huisjes, de rust, de natuur en de sfeer: alles klopt. We hebben hier enorm genoten en komen heel graag nog eens terug! Een absolute aanrader!

The old Kampung Heritage buildings, the ambience and the great use of wood and space combined. The food was great, reasonably priced and the staff very attentive to our needs…including the two cats!

All was fine tho maybe bottled soap in bathroom instead of solid small soap bars wrapped in plastic.

Beautiful and quiet establishment. Very quick and easy to get a Grab to/from the airport and also to/from Pantai Cenang area. Really friendly staff and delicious breakfast.

Very nice heritage rooms, well clean and spacious. Lovely swimming pool that feels like a bouncy house because it's actually inside the lake. Breakfast and dinner were great, I do recommend trying their restaurant.

The mattress could be softer to my taste, but ok if you prefer firmer. Some noise from nature itself, sporadic airplanes and eventual mosque prayers, including during the night.

Prachtige authentieke huizen met veel zorg en liefde ingericht en van alle comfort voorzien. Mooie jungle tuin met Drijvend zwembad in lelievijver en een zeer verfijnd restaurant waar ook het uitstekende ontbijt wordt geserveerd.

Gorgeous stay. Every detail catered for in the villa and so clean. We had such a lovely stay. The staff are also excellent. Amazing swimming pool and great food at the restaurant.

Proximity to beaches and restaurants is always a grab away which isn’t an issue but a consideration. Nearby mosque wakes you up early (bring ear plugs)

Le meilleur séjour de notre road trip tout étais super le lieu bien que très proche de l aéroport était plutôt calme. Les maison typiques malaisiennes superbe le petit déjeuner ultra copieux et le personnel adorable. La piscine au milieu du lac un vrai plus le cadre est magnifique.

We loved our stay here. Beautiful villa with lots of space and very comfortable beds. The included breakfast was excellent and restaurant cooked wonderful food. Pool was great, water was very clean. It was slightly out of town but Grab taxis were readily available and cheap.

It was quite hot for us (we're from a cold climate) as the villa was a bit difficult to cool down.

Absoluut niets, wat een heerlijk paradijs dit!

In endroit magnifique, typiquement malaisien, sauvage et en pleine nature. Nous avons adoré notre séjour ! Le personnel est d'une gentillesse absolue.

Le seul hic : l'invasion de moustiques à partir de 16h, ce qui oblige à fermer les fenêtres et empêche d'en profiter pleinement en fin de journée.

Unique accommodation with beautiful villas set throughout the property. Beds were comfortable and rooms serviced daily.

We had breakfast included in our booking but on all of the mornings only two options were available, on several mornings the same sandwiches were just reserved in the buffet option which was pretty nasty by morning 3. On our last morning no breakfast was packed out for the buffet option and options off the menu again only allowed for two options. Many juices were also not available during our entire stay.

Het is authentieke, een prachtige receptie waar je heel hartelijk werd ontvangen. De villa,s zijn ruim en wij hadden een buiten badkamer., dit vonden wij fantastisch. Midden in natuur. De klamboe rondom het bed zorgde ervoor dat je snachts geen last van de muggen had. Ik onze villa waren 2 airconditioning en 4 plafon ventilatoren, en er waren 8 luiken die open konden. Het restaurand was open van 8 tot 17.00 uur. Heerlijke eigen gemaakte gerechten. Het zwembad is een pareltje Trouwens de zeep op de badkamer ruikt heerlijk.

Charming, character filled wooden villas with lovely decor. The pool was beautiful, set in the lotus pond and the food at the restaurant was fresh and delicious. Staff were so helpful and polite.

Unfortunately under the flight path so can be noisy.

Proximity to the airport might be tricky especially for noises but nothing good earplugs could fix! I would recommend to include a basic breakfast option for those not used to eat a full meal in the morning!

Staying in a traditional Malay house was special. It was a very relaxing and peaceful stay. The manager was very helpful, providing local advice and dining recommendations.

Outings required using Grab but the cars always came quickly.

Dichtbij een moskee en die hoor je vroeg in de ochtend. Voor ons geen belemmering. Het ontbijt was prima.

Un lieu absolument apaisant. La piscine est magnifique. Climatisation fonctionne bien, il n’y fait pas trop chaud. Les “villas” sont dépaysante et change des gros resort se bord de plage. À environ 5/10 min en taxi de la plage et des restaurants.

A noter que vous devez prendre des taxis pour aller au restaurant ou prendre un café. Il n’y a rien dans la zone. Petit déjeuner assez décevant.

Toute l'infrastructure, maisons sur pilotis, douche extérieure, baignoire en bois, moustiquaire etc.. restaurant, bar, piscine sont vraiment de qualité (bois, authentique, exotisme, soucis des détails, bien pensé, rien dans la déco n'est oublié). Le dernier jour (hélas) nous avons découvert par nous même, qu'il y avait 1 ou 2 restos trop sympas, locaux et pas chers à moins de 15mns de marche...

Probablement à cause de la saison, il n'y avait que 2 ou 3 maisons louées. Le restaurant et le bar fermait à 18h. Le staff plus ou moins concerné, n'en faisait pas assez pour trouver des solutions adaptées. Nous ne l'avions pas prévu, mais nous avons dû louer un scooter afin d'aller dîner en dehors.

Beautiful antique houses set in a green oasis full of birdsong encircling an enchanting pool suspended within a lily pond. Enchanting.

The room was huge and comfortable. The property was calm and serene with lots of green vegetation around.

The food was very limited which made the breakfast very limited and not up to the mark. One of the bathtubs in our room was leaking heavily. There is no intercom to get in touch with the reception.

I had the pleasure of staying at Kunang Kunang Heritage Village in Langkawi for 4 nights, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had stepped back in time—beautifully preserving traditional Malaysian heritage while still offering all the modern comforts you need. Our villa was absolutely perfect. The attention to detail in maintaining the heritage design was incredible, yet it was complemented by thoughtful amenities like excellent air conditioning, which made our stay extremely comfortable in the tropical climate. What really made our stay special was the staff. They were nothing short of amazing—always warm, welcoming, and ready with a genuine smile. They embodied true Malaysian hospitality and made us feel right at home throughout our stay. Breakfast each morning was also very good, with a great selection to start the day. I wouldn’t hesitate to return and experience these unique heritage villas again on future trips. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something truly special in Langkawi!

Villas traditionnelles pleines de charme, piscine au milieu des lotus. On vit "dedans dehors" des écureuils sur le toit, réveil au chant du coq et magnifiques oiseaux dans le jardin. Le restaurant est délicieux et le personnel très sympathique

Kalau nak perkenalkan anak-anak Gen Z dan Alpha tentang kehidupan tradisi dolu dolu, ya.. inilah tempatnya. Nak rasa mandi sejuk tanpa atap bumbung.. ya, di sinilah tempatnya Nak rasa tarik timba dari perigi, ya di sinilah tempatnya. Ada WIFI laju, tapi tak ada TV naaa

El recepcionista de 10. Tuvimos un problema con un compañero (vuelo cancelado) y el recepcionista nos cambió la habitación a una mejor y nos anuló otra (sin tener porqué hacerlo). Todo muy limpio y cuidan mucho los detalles. La cerveza barata (barra y piscina) y el desayuno buffet estupendo.

Después de varias experiencias malas en Malasia,,,de veras que nos trataron de mimo.

Fantastisk dejligt og roligt sted med det sødeste og hjælpsomme personale. Poolen var en rolig oase. Nemt at komme ind til byen. Personalet var hjælpsomme med både at arrangere ture og komme med anbefalinger for strande og restaurantbesøg. Alt personale var smilende og fik os til at føle os hjemme. Lufthavnen tæt på var intet problem

Der var meget lydt, hvilket ikke var et problem indtil vi fik nogle meget larmende naboer som desværre holdt os vågen natten lang.

The setting is beautiful, with the experience of staying in the traditional house (even though modernised & air conditioned) was thoroughly worth it.

It’s a bit far to walk anywhere, but getting a Grab is reasonably easy.

Truly beautiful place to stay, lovely staff and facilities. Villas are amazing! I do not love insects, I read a few reviews and was a little worried however we had no issues at all. Room was spotless and the mosquito nets were extremely efficient. I specifically booked an off the ground villa to lessen chances of bugs so maybe that helps!

Ook voor het huren van scooter of boeken excursie aan het juiste adres. Heerlijk verblijf gehad. De buitenbadkamer is een plaatje!

Great place!!!

Love the heritage houses! The property was well maintained and very quiet. It was surrounded by nature but yet only about 15min drive from the airport and very easy to get to town by Grab (which the staff was always willing to help). The breakfast they served was amazing and very authentic! The restaurant right by the pool is very charming and calm, coming from Hong Kong, we really enjoyed the dinner there on the first night. The highlight have to be the floating pool in the lotus pond! Our six year old loved it and so did we while slipping on drinks offered from the bar.

more like a feature request would be a little history of the property or the project... the houses on the property are so beautiful, I just wished there were a little museum or something like a small booklet in the lobby to provide a bit more context for the guests!

The room was pretty specious with a verandah outside. The bed was excellent. A little bit of better sitting arrangement in the room would be nice though. It was historical heritage style living, but a little bit of modernization like TV and intercom telephone would be nicer. Open air bathroom was an interesting experience as was the floating swimming pool. Meals were wonderful and delicious.

The insulation through the wooden property was a downsize for me. We travelled in peak summer and even though there was the AC as well as fans, the lack of insulation helped little to keep it cool in the afternoon till late evening when temperatures eventually dropped.

Amazing Malay villas with many local elements, everything inside fits together and gives a unique atmosphere. Really nice swimming pool inside of a lily pond. Varied breakfast included in the price of the stay. There are some local breakfast dishes as well as more western food. The proximity of the airport is evident, but if you go to sleep early and wake up early it shouldn’t be a problem. There are a couple of bird species living inside of the villa complex so you can hear really exotic birdsongs all the time. If you don’t tolerate well chickens announcing sunrise, better bring earplugs.

There is plenty of mosquitos in KKHV, as there is a small lake next to the lily pond, so make sure to bring repellent. However, every villa has mosquito-fighting gear to get rid of them from the villa. Unfortunately, the villas might use some maintenance. The windows have big holes so mosquitos can easily penetrate the house, as well as centipedes, cockroaches or even geckos. The biggest trouble is with mosquitos, we stayed three nights and came accross only one cockroach in the house, one gecko, a couple of centipedes and dozens of mosquitos. The staff didn’t clean the swimming pool when it was closed, instead they did it in the morning which prevented us from enjoying it then. All of these didn’t prevent us from enjoying very much our stay and we would gladly come back.

Brak suszarki do powieszenia / suszenia mokrych rzeczy. Szkoda, że przy tak dużej powieszchni domku nie było wydzielonego miejsca na oddzielny pokój.

Eine Oase, einfach zum wohlfühlen. Man ist mit dem Scooter überall recht schnell vor Ort.

Wenn man spät zum Frühstück kommt, waren einige Sachen nicht mehr vorrätig. Fanden wir aber nicht so schlimm.

C'est un endroit parfait pour se poser, en plus on est logée dans des petites maisons traditionnelles, avec une très belle chambre, un patio. La literie est confortable. Très grande salle de bain. Petit-déjeuner en face de la piscine naturelle, avec en plus un choix de mets locaux.

Si il y avait un point négatif ce serait qu'on est loin à pied de la ville, de la mer... toutefois avec les différentes compagnies de transports on accède facilement aux différents lieux d'intérêts.

Struttura fantastica composta di una dozzina di piccole casette ristrutturate con molto gusto in base all'archiettura tradizionale del luogo. Tutto pulitissimo, staff super gentile e disponibile, camere ben attrezzata con ventilatori e aria condizionata. Wi-fi velocissimo. E la vera perla è la piscina galleggiante nel laghetto di fiori di loto. Ci siamo trovati benissimo e speriamo di tornare in futuro!

La posizione seppure molto bella e rilassante è vicina a 2 moschee che nell'orario della preghiera mattutina (circa dalle 6:30 alle 7:00) risultato molto rumorose e ci hanno svegliato tutti i giorni anche usando i tappi per le orecchie. Un peccato perché il resto del giorno è assolutamente silenzioso.

Es un enclave maravilloso, rodeado de vegetación y con una piscina de ensueño. Las villas son espectaculares, bonitas, limpias y con todo lo que necesitas para pasar unos días maravillosos.

Le charme du lieu, les villas en bois sur pilotis, les intérieurs spacieux, la réception et sa boutique ainsi que le restaurant et bien-sûr .... CETTE PISCINE ! Incroyable 😍

The location is stunning! The nearby pond really makes it very special. The villas are beautiful, very spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was really good (try the cheese omelette). The restaurant serves fantastic set lunch menus, probably the best food I had not only in Langkawi but in Malaysia overall. The staff is very sweet and kind. My favourite part about the property is the pool, floating on the lotus pond.
