We booked a tour through the hotel, it was not the best value for money. The hostel slippers were way too big, made the stairs a bit dangerous

Bed wasn’t comfortable

The staff was nice and helpful during my stay, the beds were comfy and the hostel was super clean, convenient location as it's walking distance from both BTS and MRT metro stations. Lots of affordable food places around the hostel. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The place is kept very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. Free water, tea and coffee during reception hour. Laundry facilities available at a cheap price. Privacy curtains kept dorm beds very private. There was plenty of space around the bed so it didn't feel cramp at all. The bedsheets and towels were changed regularly by staff and ac kept the room cool and enjoyable.

It wasn't super sociable but that's more about the guests than the hostel.

One word: CLEAN. I was beyond thrilled to stay in a place with exceptional housekeeping. Everything was clean. The hostel is in a central location tucked in a quiet side road. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The room was fully equipped with lots of hooks and hangers, slippers and shower shoes, and I received new water, towels and toilet paper almost every day. There was plenty of space to have my things in the bathroom, the shower pressure and temperature were exquisite and it always smelled good. The bed was hard and comfortable. Great service and a quiet hostel vibe. Amazing budget stay!!!

Loved our stay here! The hostel is clean, quiet, and overall had great vibes :) it is very close to many shops, restaurants , nightlife and more. Directly across from the night market, however it is tucked into a small alley. This makes is quiet while still being close to the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Would come again.

I like the friendliness of the staff, especially Miss Rey. It is located in a very central place. Everything was good.

Lockers are spacious and bed is big for Asia. Towel provided and shower facilities are really clean.

The room was nice, basic but just what we needed for exploring Bangkok - a comfy bed, a desk and nice showers/toilets. The location was good too, as it's easy to access the metro/train from this hostel. It's also possible to walk to Lumphini Park. Water refill is available.

The water refill was a jar, rather than a dispenser, so often filling a big bottle you use it all up - which makes you feel bad for the next person! There wasn't much atmosphere here and it's not very social but there is an area to chill downstairs and it's nice to get some quiet from the busy Bangkok. No breakfast but there is an area where you can make tea/coffee.

Good location. Useful facilities, e.g. shared fridge and washing machine. Nice communal area downstairs. Our room was on the 5th floor - no lift and no air con so was difficult with big backpacks. We had a private room, but unfortunately struggled to sleep due to our room having a courtyard with some sort of generator that made a lot of noise (ear plugs did not help). Would advise to immediately ask to switch if given room 501. We asked to move rooms after one night but sadly they were fully booked. Bathroom had a bad smell especially when first entering.

They put me in a different room as they claimed the one I booked was flooded with water (first lie) and the room was the loudest I ever slept in - it has a little balcony but basically with storage of water pumps, AC unit and water heaters - all of it next to your head and zero sound isolation - impossible to even be in the room + facing parking house with non-stop car traffic - so I suppose they don’t even use that room for guests - after I complained the original room I booked was next day suddenly available - no water issue, they just gave it to other guests before (I even heard them overnight, was next door). Next day they canceled my reservation (without any reason or telling me) - they hoped I would not be able to write a review (but after complaining to Booking they reactivated it). I contacted them more than 10x over 3 weeks but they only replied once at the beginning telling me they contacted Booking to fix this (second lie) - Booking has no power or ability to do this, only the property can do this. When I caught them lie again they stopped communicating - no answer over email, Booking app or phone. Absolutely disrespectful and ignorant. I asked them to send me an invoice - which they are legally obliged to provide - again no answer, no reply and no communication since 3 weeks now and repeated requests. I asked Booking to step in - but they apparently cannot do anything (or don’t care anyways as they earn their commission) and they simply tolerate illegal and unethical business conduct….really frustrating and disappointing….until today I have no invoice for my stay… don’t go here, there are many other good hostels in Bangkok…these people don’t deserve your money!

Ekanek is awesome location and quality wise. It's quiet and professional. Everything works.

I feel like the staff didn't like me because I had a cold but I'm not sure. Also, the slippers are annoying to slip into.

Convenient location. Super close to Lumpini Park. Metro station 7mins walk ,BTS 5mins walk. A nice and comfortable room overall.

No elevator if you stay at the top floors (4th or 5th) it's tricky. A bit of a weird smell in the bathroom.

Just be aware the twin room is very small but was fine if you’re out exploring Bangkok all day.

I thought the beds were terribly uncomfortable. so hard, I felt like my hips were bruised after just two nights. tossed and turned all night each night.

Super clean, it’s one of the most clean toilet and showroom I have ever seen. The mattress and the pillow are perfect. The staff is very kind and chill. The AC is functional and quiet

There were only two minor problems I encountered. First of all there isn't an elevator. So if you have a lot of luggage be prepared to carry it up the stairs (Although the staff was really nice and helped me). Secondly the shower only had cold water. For me personally this wasn't that big of a deal because after a day in Bangkok's hot weather I enjoyed a cold shower. So all in all it just comes down to two minor inconveniences for me.

The bed is comfy and the environment is clean. The working staff is really helpful. The location is good, nearby BTS Sala Daeng and MRT Silom. There is 7-11 just around the corner and many foods around the area.

The only thing we did not like was the smell in the room. We were not sure where was it coming from. The room was very clean, but the smell was strong.

Nice staff and very private and clean rooms. All of the facilities were satisfactory and location was really good, with 3 food markets within a couple of minutes away (breakfast market, lunch market, night market). It’s right next door to a party street but the hostel itself was very quiet and peaceful!

Far away from a backpacking neighborhood and cultural sites such as temples. Not a very social hostel with a lot of digital nomads, not very backpacking-esque.

I loved it! The location, staff, the stay - everything was perfect for my solo travel. Extremely accommodating, the room was pretty much silent, I got a good night's sleep. The location is truly excellent, close to all the chill spots - Lumpini Park, Park Silom, Patpong night market.

We stayed in a double room with shared bathroom. Room small and basic but great value for money and has everything you need. AC works great. Facilities of the hostel are great, lots of water, tea coffee and utensils etc plus places to eat food. Washing facilities too. The shared bathrooms were the cleanest I’ve seen yet in SEA, the lady at reception was constantly checking cleanliness. Great location too near MRT to get around

I was there for the conference and most of the days I spent studying and preparing my presentation. The last 1.5 days left and managed to do some touristy stuffs and all credit goes to the pretty lady at the reception. I am really naive to use public transportation and she guided me all along with everything. I love my stay there and would again book the same place if I am visiting Bangkok again.

They had all kitchen appliances but it was even more good if they had a stove or a small kitchenette..

I would recommend staying here because, other than being really clean, it’s also suitable for digital nomads and nice chats. It offers coffee’ tea and water every morning. Also I really like the concept of removing your shoes to go upstairs where the rooms are located. It just feels really clean. In the rooms lockers are provided. If you want to visit Siam, Silom and Sukhumvit, this place is really located nearby, so these areas are easy to reach. If you want to visit more centrally located areas, than I would recommend to get something closer, because Bangkok is huge, even the city centre!

I must stay that in the rooms the air con is kept on between 6am to 12am, and this basically means that you need to sleep with a sweater since it’s really cool. I personally didn’t like it, but I didn’t try to ask to reduce it/switch it off. So probably my bad for not asking. Also if you need to get up early, coffee, tea and water are not provided till 8am, which is a pity.

Kindness of the workers always willing to help, location, cleanliness and value for money. One of the best places to stay in Bangkok.
