Facitility was well-maintained, lobby store was well-stocked, staff was very helpful, rooms were spacious and clean, kitchenette allowed us flexibility with kids.

Everything was perfect until I pulled the sofa bed out. As a Mother of 2 little boys, I've slept on many surfaces. But the springs in the sofa bed matress was something I haven't seen since my college days.

Nice big room, and surprising with kitchen facilities etc. Best surprise was the location, we walked down the street 10 mins to tonnes of restaurants and outside dining and a great atmosphere that would make us want to come back and stay here on a next trip to SF, more affordable than the city centre.

Breakfast had great variety of food. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff very helpful. We forgot a small purse at the hotel. It was found and Larry at front desk held it was us until we came back a few days later when returning to San Francisco.

Very clean hotel, room was great bathroom was great size. Ceasar, the clerk who checked us in was very polite and was a great representative for your hotel. Complimentary breakfast was great, and the staff that worked the breakfast were very polite. We didn't even realize there was a complimentary breakfast. Easy access to freeway.

Parking was difficult, and the A/C didn't seem very cool even though I turned it down to 65.

Hotel was in a convenient location. Room was large and spacious. Breakfast was good as far as hotel breakfasts go.

I had made the reservation in my name for my husband and me. My husband arrived at 2 am and I was to arrive the following morning. My husband had the reservation number and confirmation in the Booking.com app. However, since his name was not on the reservation, the front desk person did not allow him to check in. Even after, he went into the app to add his name, he was denied check in. She did not offer him a different room or any help, just said he is not allowed to check in. Luckily, his brother was staying in the same hotel and he took him in. I don't understand what the thinking was. What was he supposed to do? He had the reservation confirmation. After I arrived the next morning, we talked to the manager. Her suggestion was to not use Booking or another third party. She said that this issue would have been resolved had we booked with Marriott directly. It seems like because we booked through a third party we received different treatment. What a terrible experience. We will not stay here again.

We were in a one bedroom suite with our toddler and little dog. I really liked our suite — it was like a pretty good one bedroom apartment. Well-updated, not too cramped, large kitchen. We set up the toddler travel crib in the living room so that we could watch TV in the bedroom after bedtime. An outstanding feature is the large shower with good water pressure. Note, though, that this hotel is next to the freeway, and you could consider whether to ask for a room that will be on the quieter side. There is included breakfast, but it is pretty minimal — scrambled eggs, sausage patties, waffles, cereal. The waffle makers were out of service for our stay.

The hotel was very clean and everything was comfortable. The location was also good. We reach to freeways easily.

The breakfast end at 09.30, which is early to end it. People needs to rush early morning. For vacation purpose it is not very comfortable to wake up early. 10.30 would be is more reasonable. Also, the content of the breakfast was limited. It might be a standard America berakfast. However, it can be improved.

The studio was very clean and comfortable with everything you would need to have a great stay. The staff was very nice and helpful.

We stayed on the ground floor, far from the entrance and it was very quiet. The place is perfect for a family and the kids and us slept so well. It was quiet and we had everything and the ceilings were high. The room was nearly luxurious. The breakfast was quite fine. We will definitely be back there if we need to be in this area !

Nothing about the hotel was a problem for us. We found the guests a little vulgar, but looking very Silicone Valley. The area is not beautiful but it is in the middle of everything. So in fact nothing negative !

The warm feeling of the hotel and that the work out room wasn’t put at the end of a hallway, passing rooms to get to it. As a female, that is not a safe placement for a workout spot , it is located by the front and dining area, which is highly traveled and made me feel safe.

Parking busy so can end up parked quite far away. Nice breakfast and regularly replenished. 2 bed room, clean but main living is small especially when pull sofa bed out. The sofa bed is not fit for sleeping on, its terrible, just feel the springs no padding, could hear springs with every move. Sofa bed mattress was grim, dirty and all crumbs underneath when tried to turn over. No blanket just 2 sheets and 1 pillow for the sofa bed! Good room for 4 but too not adequate for 6.

Breakfast exceeded our expectations. Loved the full sized kitchen setup. Very roomy room.

Hotel is close to everything

The hotel told us they don’t guarantee room types and tried to place us in a studio with one bed when I booked and paid for a 1 bedroom suite. The rude and unpleasant lady said Hotels.com is a third party so they don’t guarantee rooms to 3rd party customers. Had to go to the front desk three times to remind them we needed a 2pm check out we had requested prior to the trip and told no problem. We also got locked out of our room twice because they didn’t apply the 2pm checkout time. Frustrating for sure especially with a fussy 10 month old.

We absolutely loved our stay!! This hotel accommodated all our needs by staying in the 2 bedroom suite to fit our family. The kids loved the pool & hot tub. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of hot options. Most definitely will stay again!

Stayed for 5 nights. Relatively new property. Everything was clean with ample parking and easy access to the major North/South freeway (101). The hotel is 20 min from SFO, 30 from the City itself, and about 20-25 min from Palo Alto. San Carlos has a nice downtown with plenty of dining options.

They had a fire going in the lobby as you entered. That made a very nice experience as you walked in. What was difficult, is the parking was almost completely full. Had to park in the back. And the property across the street had a sign that said no hotel parking, not very friendly.

Facility is very clean. Staff is very friendly and hot complimentary breakfast was great!

My stay was great even though I got locked out my room for about 45 minutes due to key entry went dead but the technician was great he opened an empty room for us to stay in while we wait, and he got in our room fairly quick!

The weather was amazing. Great service. The only thing that I did not like was the strong smell of cigarettes.

The rooms are like an apartment, complete with a full kitchen with no stove, two queen beds, and a sofa bed. They include breakfast and work with Uber Eats for other meal deliveries. This, to me, is a clever concept for families.

Great room. Pool, gym, basketball courts, and full breakfast buffet! All staff were exceptional on service and personality!! My family and I shall return!!

My Wife and I stayed for one night. We needed a hotel room for one night after a Wedding Reception. Super convenient location and easy parking. We were PLEASANTLY surprised that our room was a studio apartment. It was HUGE!!!! Although our in room coffee pot was missing the carafe and the room only had decaf coffee. But the continental breakfast that was provided had plenty of coffee and made for a GREAT breakfast. We will definitely being staying here in the future.

Residence Inn paid attention to all details. Shower was spacious, good water pressure and plenty of shelves to hold extra bath items. The suite was spacious and functional. Revolving Smart TV for 360 viewing in every corner of the suite. Beds were comfortable but pillows felt like little balls of cotton inside. Plenty of charging USB ports and outlets. The kitchen was decently supplied and a comfortable seating area for dining. Firm sofa with wipeable fabric so it feels cleaner than dusty material. The only bad thing was the air conditioning vent faced one of the beds and when the air hit the ceiling, it bounced right down to the head area. The vent was not adjustable so we had to cover it with a piece of cardboard, otherwise cold air would blast right down onto our head area. The breakfast was exceptionally good, including scramble eggs with alternating sausages, patties, crispy bacon, hard boiled eggs, mini waffles, oatmeal, greek yogurt, fresh cantaloupes, and pineapple. The best part was the amazing add-ons which included walnuts, sliced almonds, raisins, cranraisins, granola, chocolate chip and pumpkin seeds. Very generous and thoughtful to the guests who need grab and go breakfast as they have microwavable pouches filled with egg and sausage McMuffins, croissant sandwiches, egg souffle, and more. Only wish they had cranberry juice. Breakfast staff was great. The ladies were cheerful and quick to refill everything. Will definitely return and recommend it!

Room was not ready and there was even a question as it being ready at 9:30 PM. We arrived around 2 PM. Apparently a VIP was staying in the room prior to us and did not check out until 4 PM.

Easy check in and out, excellent breakfast my room was pretty clean except for my pillow it smelled dirty I had to put a towel over it cuz it was so smelly but overall was pretty good.

The AC unit kept going off and would make a loud noise before it turned on. Then it would only stay on for a few minutes. Room was warm.

Great property and location

The breakfast was a disappointment. Food serving containers were empty. Guests standing around waiting for them to be filled. Not stocked well. Milk was out for over 20 minutes. Very poor service at breakfast.

Always stay here when visiting. Friendly staff and a very nice breakfast. Checking in is easy and fast.

Great option for us outside the city

Location is key for anyone traveling for business in SV corridor. Front desk staff is friendly and proficient. The property is clean, new, beds are comfortable and rooms are spacious. I would have been comfortable working onsite if the wifi was accessible. People traveling for pleasure will find this location to be affordable and convenient with sufficient amenities.

I was very frustrated trying to access wifi - in fact I never did. The site recognized me as a Bonvoy member but kept looping me through a login process that never worked. I attempted to access as a non member and was refused because my email address is tagged as a member. Upon trying to login and request a password reset an endless loop occurred and I had no option other than to pay which I wasn't prepared to do. Very disappointed and had to go offsite to use wifi for important business that couldn't be conducted using my business cell. Not sure I would stay again if on a business trip. Also, while it was a short stay, I didn't indicate refusal of a room refresh using the provided placards, however my room was never made up nor refreshed.

Overall very good experience, we stayed in a 2BR 2Bath room. The bedrooms were small, bathrooms large. The pull out sofa had no mattress, so was uncomfortable. The hotel did send several comforters to help. The free breakfast was excellent. Service was excellent and responsive. We’d stay there again.

We stay at the residence Inn in San Carlos three times a year. This was the by far the worst time. We asked for a room high and toward the back of the hotel so we could park near our room. We were not told that the elevator was not working. We are over 70 years old. when we went back to reception my husband asked when the elevator was going to be fixed, because if it wasn’t going to be fixed during our stay, we wanted to change rooms. We had not been to our room yet, so it was not like we had messed it up. He assured us the elevator would be fixed the next day. It was not. It still wasn’t fixed when we checked out this afternoon so we carried our luggage up and down the stairs, making several trips. We came back to the hotel last night after our business meeting, and we’re going to sit out by the fire pit And it wasn’t working. Hopefully by August since we have three rooms reserved everything will be working if not, it will probably be the last time we stayed there.

The common areas of the hotel were large and welcoming. We never felt like we were fighting for a table during the complementary breakfast hours. The rooms were large and well situated. And the hotel was conveniently, located extra freeways, restaurants, and shopping.

The room was nice and very large. A/C/ did not work but repair man came quickly. Did not get very cool but service was good. The carpet had 2 nails sticking up next to he kitchenette flooring. Would have been very bad for a child. I put a sign on the floor with an arrow next to it.
