Reviewed Feb 23, 2026We stayed with family at Jonker88 in Kota during the CNY period. The place is nice, clean, and well-maintained. The living hall and rooms are spacious, and all the facilities worked well, except for a loud noise when turning on the shower heater in the second-floor bathroom. The owner was responsive and easy to coordinate with throughout our stay. The fireworks that were set off in front of the house (while we were at the restaurant), which triggered the neighbour’s alarm, were from another unit and not related to us but thanks for understanding and trusting us.
This appears to be more of a service provider issue, but the 4G/5G mobile network coverage inside the house was very poor to almost unavailable. However, the WiFi connection worked well throughout our stay.

是有间厕所，水喉坏了。 最楼下有一间2个单人床。其余房间需要上楼梯，可能老人家不方便。 附近有人居住，夜晚不能太吵闹，会打扰到当地居民。

Her professionalism and genuine care for her guests’ comfort and well-being are unmatched. The homestay itself was well-maintained, cozy, and made us feel right at home. It’s rare to find someone so accommodating and thoughtful in this industry, and I’m genuinely grateful for her efforts. If you’re looking for a place to stay where the owner truly cares about her guests, look no further. I wholeheartedly recommend this homestay and will definitely return in the future. Thank you for making our experience as smooth as possible!
The only minor drawback was the limited parking space, but the owner’s exceptional hospitality and care more than made up for it.

The rest of all is that Elin allow us to have late check out. Greatly appreciated her help. If not, we also don’t know where to park all our bikes.

Reviewed Nov 13, 2022Super good location and pretty near to popular malls and Jonker Walk. The car porch can park 2 cars and the place is super clean and comfortable. Kitchen has a full range of utensils and microwave, with a water dispenser with hot water and thus need not boil water. Love the beds and pillows.
The 2-step leading into the house is slightly inconvenient for wheelchair access as the wheelchair is unable to go up the 2nd step and needed to be hoist up instead. Would be better to have a smart TV to access Youtube/ Netflix using own's account as TV channels are limited. Also, the water pressure is really low and thus took a longer time to shower.

Reviewed Oct 22, 2022Only one day before our arrival, the host told us that there is a swimming pool under construction. Some family members did not like the dusk. On the day we arrived, then we were told that our unit has been changed to the corner unit (not the one that we have booked online). The allocated unit is actually the one with the swimming pool under construction. The host said this unit is bigger. We saw that the internal is neat and well equipped, so we were ok with it except for the dust from the construction of the swimming pool.
