Good value and staff were helpful.
Lovely staff

Nothing at all.
Rooms were tired and unclean. Value for money. Even though they advertise breakfast no food was available. Rooms were noisy, mold in the bathroom wallpaper pealing, lack of room servicing and toilet supplies we provided were removed by the hotel service staff.
Excellent value for money lovely stay
Property is dated but is good value for money. In a quiet location. Nice, free, onsite parking.
As far as I could see there weren’t any shops nearby and no local pub but that wasn’t too much of a problem as we had plans in Manchester.
Has a good bar, free parking and the room was large.
Bathroom was a little tired and is probably due for a refresh. It’s more like a businessmans overnight lodging.
The room was okay. I only spoke to the host when we first arrived, she was friendly enough, but otherwise there was no interaction.
I used my own mobile data as it was better than the free WiFi. There was a funny smell in the landing, smelled a bit like cat urine, but i suspect it was damp due the the age of the building. The room was very basic. You get better at a premier inn often for less money. I did not know how to contact the host of anything was needed.
we were there overnight, yet couldn't confirm our exact arrival times, they were so flexible and stayed in contact with us throughout the day, we arrived late at night and got the keys from a dropbox, very clear instructions and wifi codes were sent to us via family members. Room was warm, very large twin room, hot shower, and tea, coffee and a kettle in the room - exactly what we needed, we just needed somewhere cheap overnight and local to the hospital, value for money indeed. Graz was amazing and so helpful
we had asked for breakfast which we didn't get but truly not the end of the world as we had to leave unexpectedly earlier than thought
Comfortable for an overnight stay. Good parking. Friendly reception. Very good for events at Wythenshawe Park.

It was lovely and clean and the host was super friendly and helpful
Friendly staff and beautiful, historic building. The hotel was being refurbed and these areas looked really nice.
A little shabby in our room but could see the hotel was being refurbed
I didn't like the place so much
I needed a kitchen but none was there.
It was near where we needed to be. Car park and bar. Friendly staff.
No fan in our room. Being a heatwave it was so hot. On the 2nd night a fan was provided. No hairdryer. If refurbished it would be a lovely hotel. I think they used to do roast dinners etc. The garden is being cleared which when done will be nice.
The staff was accommodating as I needed to work in the common area (wifi not great in the room). They were very friendly and helpful.
Seems they had a water damage and some common room were not available, the place looked quite empty. Wifi not great in the room.
Location was good
Nothing
The host was so kind and welcoming and made us a lovely breakfast on the Sunday of our stay. The room was clean and spacious and plenty of teas and coffees supplied. Ample parking and great location for our needs.
The hotel was a little tired and in need of some updating, but this really did not detract from our stay in any way.
Very well located for the airport. Good breakfast. Bobby the dog 😀
No lift and narrow stairs so difficult if you have large bags - however they let us keep our cases downstairs
Very clean. My room was quite modern compared to the pictures, so was a pleasant surprise.
Very hot! But that can’t be helped in this heat I suppose.
The location was excellent.& the bar was a bonus. Able to eat your own food in the beer garden hostess & provided china and cutlery😘😘
Shower tempremental
The stairs were a challenge but the staff changed my room to a lower level
Spacious
To hot
it suited my needs
the room needs abit of tlc
We arrived earlier than expected and were welcomed in. Although we didn't eat, the cosy bar and well seated restaurant looked warm and inviting. Cheerful Accomodation at a reasonable price for the night and convenient for an early morning Manchester flight transfer with Maple Leaf Parking (3 miles away) .
We arrived during a heatwave of 33 degrees in the early evening. Our room was on the 2nd floor at the very top. Although the window was open, so were the curtains and the sun had baked the room. We closed the curtains and left the window open throughout the night. It was quite noisy with dogs barking and some kind of construction work going on for at least 2 hours in the early hours. We appreciate this is no fault of the hotel, but with the heat and noise we barely slept. Placing a fan in the room in exceptional weather conditions would have been very much appreciated and we could have then closed the window.
The room was clean and tidy. Very nice bathroom. The Landlady was very kind and helpful. Would use this hotel again in the future.

It was a long walk to the pub.
Lieu vintage adorable, hôtesse charmante, quartier verdoyant
I liked the staff very polite
Being woken up lol
Reason value for money, Comfortable & relaxing Good breakfast Good base for visiting South Manchester & surrounding area.
Using crutches the place is a challenge getting in & around the place. If you want 4stars plus with 24/7 service this is not the place for you
Comfortable and clean accommodation
It was neat and clean

Good location. Welcoming host. Clean bathroom. Bar. Good breakfast.
Dated in a few areas and a bit shabby although clean. Not sure how secure the key to the room was as it opened the front door as well. So if everyone's key opens the front door they could open your room.
Convenient, plenty of easy free car parking, friendly and efficient staff

Lovely building , friendly staff and quiet
Property is a little tired but would not put me off staying again.
Very friendly and helpful hostess. Room was clean and comfortable and a bargain at the price we paid.
Maybe offer more vegan options at breakfast. There was a very strong smell of cleaning product in the room but it gradually dissipated once the window was open. Only one bedside table.
The staff were lovely and very helpful, the room was the double and single superior room with a beautiful bathroom, bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby, was not bothered by any noise with nice thick walls and great location to where I was going for the night. Thank you
Nothing. Place is slightly dated but it is a lovely old building and should remain so. It has great character
All arrangements ran smoothly, everything as expected. Quiet night’s stay and convenient for us

Didn't have breakfast as we were out and about with family for that. Owners very friendly.
Fresh smell of paint was a little overpowering on first entering room.

The proximity to where we needed to be
It is very dated and in need of lots of work. We stayed in a superior room, the paint was peeling off the ceiling, the bathroom facilities were from 1980s.
Everyone
Convenience and easy access outside of business hours
Staff, Location and value for money. Rooms were a good size

The host, Graz, was so friendly and helpful. The room and location were perfect for what we were after too.
Toilet was older and wasn't easy to use
Nicely furnished room with tea /coffee making facilities. Comfy bed , nice outlook.

My bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order. The host was friendly and helpful.
Nothing to dislike.
The hotel was clean, the room was comfortable, the owner was welcoming, and the breakfast was excellent.
There were two flights of stairs up to our room.
The room was spacious and had everything needed.
Nothing to dislike

Great location, easy to find, good parking facilities and exceptional welcome / check in with very friendly staff
There are signs saying “under maintenance” and this will be a good thing as it could do with some updating
Friendly and excellent location

The lady who checked us in was lovely great customer service.
Traditional. Good value.

Staff were friendly and room was comfortable
Room a bit tired and could do with decorating to make it fresh.
Lovely quiet location, comfortable room, soft beds, I had a great night's sleep. The shower was good, everything was clean. The owner is absolutely lovely and helpful, very kindly accommodated my request for later check-in on the day even though she didn't have to.
Very Helpful and suitably friendly staff, good privacy, quiet enough, decent private en-suite, room big enough and good outlook onto garden, easy to come and go, parking available, close to family so good place to offer when larger family gatherings require more accommodation, warm room and easy to alter room temperature and light levels, simple unfussy arrangements, booking was easy, cleanliness, choice of bedding, facilities in room fine. Decent price for the stay.
The persistent bad smell of cigarettes in the en-suite, - maybe due to ineffective vent -Axia and a previous guest not observing no smoking inside rule despite clear signs, - bedroom was thankfully free of this odour. Bed was hard under not great (old?)mattress and glad I brought my own pillow.
Location
Beds were so uncomfortable and shower was painfull, was told to leave upside down to build pressure but didn't really work.
It was cheap and close to places for an evening meal. We stayed there before travelling to the airport in the morning. The owner was friendly. The bar area was nice.
The room could do a little spruce up but it did the job
Staff friendly and helpful.
Very dated room. Shower only seemed to work when nobody else in the building was using water.
Neatness of the room and we'll stocked of things
No access to Netflix, YouTube on the television
Greeted by a happy and friendly host. I arrived on Easter Saturday evening and it looked the hotel was being refurbished and updated. I stayed in a large comfortable room with a cozy double bed which had a decent bathroom and shower. Situated in a quiet suburban area of Sale, there was a good view of the gardens beyond from the bedroom window. An evening stroll to the local church a few hundred yards away was very pleasant, as was the evening birdsong.
I think the hotel was under refurbishment, and I arrived just as Storm David was approaching during the Easter weekend. I felt that some of the hotel facilities were not in place. Not helped by the Manchester tram network in the region being down for the weekend for upgrades and repairs, so I had to walk more, and use busses and Uber to get around, but this is not any fault of the hotel. I had an early train, so I had to skip the breakfast, therefore I have no opinion to offer on breakfast.
The friendly host and a quiet location. Good value for money.
Excellent large rooms and well equipped with everything to make a comfortable stay . Great location for tram station . Free parking with amble room .

Posizione, staff
Very clean and comfortable . The bathroom is lovely .perfect location for airport stopovers
The lady who worked there was lovely, friendly and helpful
It was not clean. The throw on the bed was full of stains. The curtains in the bedroom and dining area were thick with dust and falling down. There were holes in the walls and the bedroom ceiling cracked and falling down. The whole place is dusty, worn and in need of a good revamp.
The Eskdale is a beautiful old building. It is comfortable and clean. No issues with plenty of hot water and soap and shower gel available. I have had issues in other hotels where they constantly run out of hot water so it's something I'm picky about! There is free tea and coffee facilities in the room. Very simple but everything I needed. The staff are wonderful, very friendly and very accomodating. I arrived at midnight due to my flight being delayed but the staff were there to meet me outside their check in hours with no complaints. I needed an iron in the morning for my suit. I asked a member of staff and within 5 minutes had an iron and ironing board in my room. It is a simple, cosy hotel with staff who try and look after you and give you what yuo actually want rather than provide pointless gimmicks and if that is what you're looking for it's perfect.
