Elephant Point

The accommodation was amazing. The villa itself was extremely spacious. More space than we needed for a family of 7. It was fully equipped and furnished with everything we needed for the stay. It was true to what was advertised and looked exactly as it did in the pictures. The staff were amazing, welcoming and friendly. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything that we needed during our stay.

Villa are excellent, very spacious and very well equipped. Cleaning, check in/out staff (all) staff was amazing.

On line menu options were not available in the restaurant. We looked up the menu and was very disappointed that none of the dishes we were looking forward to eat was not on the menu.

location perfect however the trees and foliage now block the view of the river and animals . it would be good if that can be cleared to give us a view again since now view now available

An unforgettable experience from start to finish. The staff were some of the kindest and most welcoming people I’ve ever met. The location is stunning, the views are breathtaking, and the service is exceptional.

Location close to the Kruger Park and Hazyview. Facilities were great although the restaurant and bar was expensive.

There was building site next to our lodge with building activities and noise early in the morning.

Location is excellent - just a few kilometres from the Paul Kruger gate. Villa was clean and well-maintained. Heated pool was a hit with the kids. Nice and private, you don't even feel how close your neighbours really are. Just a generally beautiful and pleasant experience.

Restaurant food is not great. But you can cook/braai for yourself. There was no communication when the boma dinner wasn't going to happen (due to insufficient interest), even though we had made a reservation, so they could have let us know. We only found out when we got to the restaurant.

Nous avons passé les meilleurs nuits de notre séjour en Afrique du Sud dans ce lodge Mavalanga. Juste magnifique. Décoration juste waww. La salle de cinéma un vrai + on a passé une belle soirée ciné avec nos enfants :) Le personnel est hyper sympa, toujours souriant. Notre femme de ménage était adorable. Nous avons pu voir depuis notre lodge uniquement des hippopotames et singes. Mais le parc Kruger à 10 min du lodge vous offrira de belles surprises !

Wonderful surroundings, very close to the entrance of Kruger Park. The lodge is well maintained, perfectly equipped, clean, and the staff is very friendly. We also ordered private catering, which was perfect. Hazyview and Graskop are accessible by car, and there are plenty of family activities to do in these places. The pool skimmer does not work properly, the water practically does not circulate, so it has to be cleaned with a net all the time. I specifically requested a pool net for permanent use at the reception. This helps a little, but it does not filter out smaller debris.

Beautiful property and great location

Toilet was leaking. Wall plugs did not work. No condiments (salt pepper) as on previous occasions. The properties road from reception to the accomodation was in a terrible state - destroyed by the recent rains and not attended to by the staff. You practically need a 4x4 to reach the lodge - was very hard on our little car. We have stayed here twice before - both times lively. Will not return as it is no longer worth the money. The state of repair speaks to neglect.

The interior of the house is excellent, and the house is spacious enough. The overall design was well thought.

There are mice living in that house. On our first day, it took us 1 hour to chase a mouse out of the house. We thought it was just 1 mouse and we didn’t worry because we understood that the house is in the bush so things like that might happen. To our surprise, on the third day we spotted another mouse in the kitchen, and this one was big. It even ate our bread. We tried to get rid of it but failed. Our kids were terrified during our stay because the mouse was still in the house but nowhere to be found. We spotted it again on the 4th day and still we couldn’t catch it.

We had the most incredible stay at Elephant Point. The House is gorgeous, spacious and fully equipped with everything you need. The beds are extremely comfortable. Inside and outside is very well furnished. We truly enjoyed every minute of our stay, the swimming pool was clean and heated and the views of the animals on the Sabie River was 5 star. The animals really do their tourism duties, we could see the elephants and hippos from the house and it was spectacular. We will be back soon. This property is highly recommended.

Fabulous house with every comfort you would need for multiple families in a great location

Was a bit of a delay to get into Paul Kruger gate in the 5:30am check in scrum, so you don’t get into the park much before 6:20am Being charged at check out for the fire wood used left a little sour taste given the price paid and there’s no mention that you have to pay.

The pictures did not do justice to the real experience. Our stay was amazing. From the staff at reception, the game drives the lodge we stayed in and off coarse the Boma was picture perfect. We will be back!

We didn't stay long enough!

Wir waren jetzt schon zum 4. Mal in einem Haus in Elephant Point und es war sicher nicht das letzte Mal. Die Häuser sind super komfortabel, man ist in unter 10 Minuten am Paul Kruger Gate und auch viele andere interessante Ausflugsmöglichkeiten sind in der Nähe. Wir haben eine Nonprofit Organisation in der angrenzenden Community und für uns ist es der ideale Ausgangspunkt.

Dass wir immer wieder abreisen müssen.

Very nice place with amazing safari, food is not the best, but good. We have managed to see the BIG 5 in one day, amazing!!! We enjoyed our stay, thank you!

Wonderful stay overlooking Sabie river and close to Kruger National Park

The lodge was spacious with a private pool and lookout towards Kruger Park. It was well-equipped and fun. Amazing property.

From arrival to departure, everything was absolutely wonderful — staff, lodge, game drives. Very thoughtfully designed house (including anything you could think of from several BBQs to ice maker to outdoor showers to tasteful decoration and layout), super easy communication with reception who make anything possible, splendid game drives. If I were to go back to Kruger, I would 100% stay again!

Restaurant option is somewhat limited but we didn’t mind.

The food was taking forever, and the coffee was oily

A beautiful home with all the luxuries you could hope for. Heated pool, sunny terrace, private boma and well-kitted kitchen. The bedrooms, outside shower and relaxing bath felt like a personal hotel suite within the home. Also the excellent service (from the reception to the daily cleaning staff) deserve a special mention. We loved our stay.

The ambience and the location is excellent. Very quiet and relaxing. The houses are so well decorated and very clean. There is everything a family needs to have a comfortable holiday. Very convenient. My kids want to visit again soon. 😍 The staff responded well when my daughter had a medical emergency. We were guided well. I was also moved by the fact that the staff who responded via WhatsApp message also wanted us to update of my daughter got help and if evey thing is fine. The staff is so caring and loving. ❤️

We understand ot is a self catering accommodation. However, the tea station ingredients were not sufficient. If we knew we could have brought our own. It would be nice if you could consider serving some rusks or biscuit. 😊

Great Location close to the Kruger Park main gate. Awesome facilities, including heated pool and gym on the property. The staff was very helpful and always willing to assist. Very efficient.

The Mobile Spa the property uses was very disappointing. It was a total rip-off because it was overpriced for the quality of service offered.

Attention to detail...inside and outside. Comfy beds.lovely outdoor area.Spacious. Good view of the river with animals . Kitchen had ample stock of dishes and appliances.

Ventilation especially while cooking. Cannot leave doors open because of monkeys. Perhaps have a window with a monkey proof cover in order to open it. Or an extractor fan?

Very classy and comfortable stay with amazing views for sighting animals (elephants, hippos, kudus, water yaks, crocodile, baboon). Could consider having a convenience store on site.

Pegamos o lodge 17, que casa maravilhosa, eram 3 suítes INCRIVEIS, espaçosas, casa super confortável, tinha uma estante cheia de jogos de tabuleiro, cartas.. tinha tudo o que precisamos e até o que nem imaginamos que poderia ter tinha. O único ponto fraco é o restaurante, a comida não era muito boa, mas também não era ruim. Era o que tínhamos de opção então acabamos comendo bastante lá, mas não iriamos por vontade própria no restaurante se tivessem outras opções por perto.. A piscina da casa é virada para o rio do Kruger, era possivel ver elefantes, veados e hipopotamos andando por ali. Tinha faxineira na casa todos os dias, e quando ela terminava ela perguntava se íamos cozinhar e se queríamos q ela voltasse mais tarde novamente para limpar a bagunça, achei muito bom. Eles também oferecem o serviço de pré compras, que você manda a lista e quando chega na casa as compras já estão lá, e o personal chef para cozinhar nas refeições em casa para o grupo. Fizemos o safari com eles também, foi bem legal. Os lodges são cercados, então não chegam animais selvagem perto da casa, o que para alguns pode ser um ponto forte, mas eu teria amado ver um elefante bebendo agua na minha piscina.
