An excellent choice. I can highly recommend the place; the villas are spacious, stunning, and set amidst nature. The cleanliness and service were top-notch. The food at the restaurant was delicious. But most importantly, the people made us feel so welcome—we didn't want to leave.

Das Hotel liegt in einer schönen weitläufigen Anlage. Der Pool und Strand war sehr schön und ansprechend. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig und schön, die Terrasse war riesengroß mit diversen Sitzgelegenheiten, einer Hängematte und Blick aufs Meer. Die Restaurants waren sehr gut, obwohl sie etwas teurer waren, war dies für uns ok. Die Qualität war topp. Schön war auch, dass jede Unterkunft Fahrräder zur Verfügung hatte.

Nichts, was im Einflussbereich des Hotels lag. Im angrenzende Gebiet gibt es große Baustelle, welche allerdings kaum zuhören war.

De dure prijzen van het eten. In de buurt zijn ze een enorme aluminiumplant aan het ontwikkelen en ik vrees dat dit een impact zal hebben op de verontreiniging van zowel het zeewater als de lucht. Als ik de eigenaar was zou ik snel verkopen...

Superschöne, gepflegte Anlage, direkt an einem traumhaften Strand gelegen. Diverse Aktivitäten sind verfügbar (SUP, Kajaks, Bananenboot, Jetskis, Ausflüge), so dass es auch unseren Teenies nicht langweilig wurde. Die Unterkünfte sind modern und geräumig, das Personal extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es gibt mehrere Restaurants, alle sehr gut, besonders erwähnenswert ist das unglaublich umfangreiche, täglich variierende und wirklich superleckere Frühstücksbuffet. Auch der Transfer von der Fähre (wir kamen von Singapur) zum Hotel und zurück war sehr gut organisiert, wir mussten uns um nichts Gedanken machen.

het is een paradijs!! een waanzinnig mooi resort met prachtige villa's, geweldige eten en heeeel vriendelijke personeel. Wij verbleven in een garden villa vlakbij het (ontbijt) restaurant, poolbar en het zwembad. De villa was prachtig, super schoon en heel groot met een zit kamer, en een slapkamer met een geweldig badkamer. De personeel was super aardig, altijd klaar om te helpen. Het ontbijt is zeer uitgebreid en je kunt van alles vinden - lokale gerechten, maar ook continentale gerechten. Het specialty restaurant is geweldig is een MUST, Verrukkelijk eten!!! Het zwembad is een infinity pool, niet groot met genoeg bedden. Prachtige zee en strand!!

Het hotel ligt heel ver (ongeveer 1.5 uur ) van de Ferry Terminal en buiten het resort is er niets te doen behalve de georganiseerde door het hotel tours. Wij zijn op een snorkel trip geweest en het was suuuper leuk maar verder hebben weinig van het eiland gezien.

La qualité de l’eau de mer et la proximité d’un énorme complexe en développement d’extraction de bauxite à des fin de création d’aluminium (500 m?). Étonnant près d’un resort. Il suffit de regarder les images satellites pour se rendre compte de la proximité. Mais le resort n’y peut rien en soi.

The Residence is an high potential resort but currently too many topics should be improved starting from the cleaness of its beaches (form leqves and plastic).

Excellent place. We had taken two pool villas and both of them were fabulous with access to the beach as well. Very quiet and away from the main restaurants and other activity zones in the property. We also had a surprise deco and one of the villas to celebrate my son’s 17th birthday. That came as a pleasant surprise

Dinner at one of the days was a little off. Ordered dishes were not served and we had to remind the staff several times.

on the firefly river tour, the guide temporarily captured a few of the fireflies in a bottle to show us. while no insects were harmed, I think that it's better to not disturb the fireflies at all.

It had everything you needed, the staff were lovely. The activities were endless and the privacy was good.

We paid for a Sea View Villa, it wasn’t quite that as it was just a glimpse through the trees. Some Villa’s had much better views, but not ours.

Amazing staff, so friendly and couldn't do more for you. Have to shout out Lati who gave me the most incredible massage! Food options were plentiful and absolutely delicious. Really great set up for young kids (we had a 2.5yo and 10mo with us).

The journey to the ferry terminal is long and the bus is not that comfortable. Imagine it's fine unless you have restless kids with you!!

We couldn’t believe what a stunning resort we had booked. None of the pictures or descriptions do it justice. Apart from the natural beauty, the resort was immaculately maintained. It was spotless. The staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful. As well as watersports there were lots of games such as table tennis and pool, so lots to do. The spa was amazing. All in all it was everything you could hope for.

Замечательный отель с восхитительным сервисом, вкусной едой в ресторанах за адекватные деньги с учётом пяти звёзд. Номера чистые, красивые, современные, багги-сервис по территории отеля также работает достаточно хорошо. Важно понимать, что кроме самого отеля в округе нет ничего, но в целом это и не нужно, в отеле есть всё необходимое.

Это не вина отеля, но пляжа и возможности для купания в море фактически нет – глубина воды не превышает метра даже далеко от берега, поэтому для пляжного отдыха он не подходит. В остальном однозначно рекомендую

Had an amazing time at The Residence Bintan! I can't think of a single issue with our stay - it was simply amazing! We stayed for 2 nights, we came from Singapore - the food was great, the staff was extremely friendly, and the service was top notch! Also, to add - the property is massive and extremely beautiful. Special thanks to Dani and his other colleagues - absolutely love it when the staff is so good!! The Residence Bintan is an example of how the service industry should be!!

Everything was wonderful! However, if I have to pick one thing - it was perhaps the journey from the fairy terminal to the hotel, it wasn't as comfortable. I would suggest to pick a private cab instead of the hotel bus!

Staying at the Residence Bintan was absolute bliss. We were picked up from the airport and checked in very smoothly. A buggy brought us to our room and our luggage was already there. We could use the buggy or bikes to go around. We absolutely loved the staff, Dani, Nono and all the others thank you for taking such good care of us. In addition, we really enjoyed the Rimbun restaurant, the lamb and Snapper were sublime. Thank you again for an amazing stay. We hope to come back one day again 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

It was a wondeful 3D2N here. Not only the resort’s facilities, ambience but the warm hospitality from all of the staff made this stay a memorable one. Stayed at Deluxe Sea View Villa, the warm welcome from Pak Jarwo, Pak Partono and team made a great first impression with smooth check in process. Arrived in the villa, Ega from Housekeeping Team had prepared a thoughtful welcome bed deco. The breakfast at The Dining Room was scrumptious and Dani was amazing and greeted me, all the guests even the little ones during breakfast. He is a star! Thanks to Khairul and Team at Pool Bar and Salwa from Rica Rica for a great service. Not forgetting Chef for the yummy Nasi Campur. I bought back Sambal Belacan, it is very nice. Agum also taught us to make an Indo herbal drink “Jamu Kunyit Asam” We all enjoyed it. The next day I had a beautiful floating breakfast set up by Al Hadit. My favourite spot is the hammock at the beach, it’s very relaxing and peaceful, what I needed from a hustle bustle Singapore and work life. The Residence Bintan is real oasis, which worth to go even many comments said it was a bit too far from the ferry terminal but it is all worth it and you’ll want to go back! Terima kasih!

The service provided by the satff was simply outstanding. Beyond the excellent level of service you would normally expect, what truly stood out was their attention to detail. It wasn't just one particular person either-everyone who assisted us, from the reception team to housekeeping, the restaurant staff, and the transport service, was consistently professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The facilities in general, the room size, and the natural surroundings are stunning

There is not any special item to remark. Only as an opportunity to improve is that walking along the beach it is difficult to know which entrance leads to the guest rooms because there is not signage at all

We had an excellent stay in the Residence Bintan. We originally had booked for four nights but we loved it so much we stayed for 2 extra nights. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home. Excellent and friendly service, great facilities, particularly for families with the Swimming pools and Kids Club. Vert nice food and a wide variety of places to eat within the Hotel. Very relaxed atmosphere for guests. I would highly recommend The Residence Bintan.

Das Ressort ist extrem schön gestaltet, die Gartenanlage, der Infinity-Pool, die Zimmer… Man fühlt sich wie im Paradies. Zudem habe ich noch niemals so viele nette, zuvorkommende Menschen erlebt wie dort. Es gibt etliche Möglichkeiten , seine Freizeit zu gestalten. Ob Schnorcheln, Segeln, Banana Boot, Massagen … Alle Angebote des Hotels sind toll. Wir hatten einen privaten Fahrer, der uns sehr sicher und mit besonderen Tipps die Insel gezeigt hat. Auch die Restaurants sind auf hohem Niveau und für Europäer preislich durchaus erschwinglich.

Jammern auf Form Niveau… Aber bei Ebbe ist das Meer so mehr weit zurückgezogen , dass das Baden im Meer kurzfristig nicht möglich ist. Das ist aber aufgrund des tollen Pools nicht weiter schlimm.

Das Frühstück war super und sehr reichhaltig. Der Pool ist sehr schön, allerdings etwas wenig Schattenmöglichkeiten. Der Spa ist sehr schön und angenehme Behandlungen. Sehr zuvorkommender service.

Wir hatten ein Gartenzimmer in der Nähe der Poolbar- somit jeden Abend live Musik- zwar schön, aber eben auch noch live Konzert wenn man bereits im Bett liegt und schlafen möchte (oder das Kind). Mit Kinderwagen ist es eher schwierig, da man fast immer Treppen zu bewältigen hat.

The Residence Bintan is a wonderful destination for families, young children, and elderly guests looking for a peaceful and relaxing beach getaway. Although it is about an 80-minute drive from BBT Ferry Terminal, it is absolutely worth the journey. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights in July 2026, and the duration felt just right for the rest and relaxation we were looking for. From the moment we checked in until the day we left, the service was impeccable. Every member of the staff was professional, friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our stay as comfortable as possible. Before we arrived, they had already prepared our room with a sofa bed, baby cot, and a children's toilet seat. We were also delighted by the adorable teddy bear towel art in our room—a thoughtful touch and a lovely memory of our stay at The Residence Bintan. The food within the resort was good, and since restaurants outside the resort are quite a distance away, we ate most of our meals there. One thing we really appreciated was that the room service menu was priced the same as dining at the café, making it very convenient for families. There are several dining options, including The Pool Bar, The Café, and Rica Rica, the Indonesian restaurant, which was our favourite. Danny provided exceptional service—he was warm, friendly, and always checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. The other restaurant staff were equally attentive, caring, and efficient. A special thank you goes to the entire team for their outstanding care when our daughter suffered a laceration during our stay. The staff responded immediately by providing a first aid kit and arranging transport to a nearby clinic about 15 minutes away. We are especially grateful to the resort nurse, Mr. Rahman, who helped change her dressings regularly so she could continue enjoying the swimming pool and beach safely. We sincerely appreciate the excellent teamwork, prompt communication, and genuine concern shown by everyone. To our surprise, the staff even prepared a cake wishing her a speedy recovery. Many staff members also checked on her every day, asking how her wound was healing, which made her feel incredibly special and well cared for. For families with children, there are plenty of activities available, with most Kids' Club activities being complimentary (although some, such as T-shirt and tote bag painting, require a small fee). Activities include colouring, recycled paper crafts, henna art, feeding chickens, rabbits and fish, movie days, and many more. The Kids' Club staff were friendly, patient, and welcoming. There is a comfortable air-conditioned indoor play area for younger children, as well as an outdoor playground. Children under five years old do need to be accompanied by an adult. The beach is clean, peaceful, and breezy, with plenty of hammocks and complimentary towels available for guests. There are also many water sports and beach activities to enjoy. The swimming pool was warm and well maintained, featuring a 1.2-metre main pool as well as a separate baby and children's pool. For adults, the resort also offers a well-equipped gym, yoga sessions, and a spa with massage treatments for those looking to unwind further. Overall, we had a truly memorable family holiday at The Residence Bintan. The exceptional hospitality, genuine warmth, and attention to detail shown by every member of the team made our stay unforgettable. We highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking peace, tranquillity, spacious accommodation, excellent family-friendly facilities, and truly outstanding service. We look forward to returning again in the future.

The beach is not that great but we Enjoyed the activities there

This is our third time coming out to The Residence Bintan. Our Home away from Home. The kids enjoyed the pool very much as usual, at times swimming twice in a day. The Pool Bar didn’t have much options the kids liked. The kids however enjoyed the food thoroughly at the main dining area - especially the cream pasta. The highlights for us were the catamaran trip out with the boys (first for us), taking the kids on ATV and taking them to the sand bank at low tide to make sandcastles. We will be back to try out other activities! The rooms were spacious and staff were friendly and accommodating. We’re already planning our next trip here!

10/10 for us for this amazing little piece of paradise! We chose this location and accomodation for the purpose of having some tranquillity, away from the day to day chaos, and it did not disappoint in anyway. From the moment we were collected from the Bandar Bintan Telani Ferry terminal, to the moment we were returned, (should be noted that this service is complimentary) there was nothing we didn’t enjoy. Our deluxe villa was spacious and extremely comfortable, not to mention the gorgeous dip pool, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We loved that our villa was the last one in the small group which made it even more private. Mr Rajeev Paul, the General Manager should be complimented on his staff, all of whom were all so helpful and friendly, no matter the job they were undertaking. As for the special floating High Tea which Mr Paul kindly provided and arranged for us, this was indeed a lovely surprise and most enjoyable. We can totally recommend The Residence and look forward to returning again - Sean and Bryony

the staff are all accommodating and friendly. the facility is complete from children's playroom and adult place to unwind and relax. I appreciate there is a game room for adults. There are few restaurants to choose from. The breakfast buffet is awesome.

High level of services shown since the booking and throughout our stay. Could not remember all names, but some here that came across to our memory. At the check-in process smooth assistance by Gian and excellent buggy service from Zico. An attentive and care shown by an offer for umbrella during rain by Wulan, if not mistaken. Enjoyed the time at The Earth Basket after a rain shower. Memorable moment to our daughter with Diva and a tour at the farm. In a crowded breakfast hour, an attentive gesture from Agum, the Kopi Tarek corner, to our daughter who has stomach discomfort after a multiple session of swimming. Very sweet approach with hot ginger. Thank you. Plenty choices of food during breakfast! A good chat at the Pool Bar with Giri, after a session of outdoor games and waiting for our order. Not to forgot the quick response from Housekeeping, Agus, to our needs is unmatched. Even during farewell at the lobby, the warm hospitality are shown with the cookies and sincere waves of goodbye. Excellent service! We are glad to pick The Residence Bintan as a choice to stay with the family. We will definitely recommend it to our colleagues and comeback again to this lovely place. ❤️

The beach is really not really something you can enjoy swimming in. Its very shallow and low tide most of the time. However the water is very clean

Amazing place and staff

What was to be a 4D3N stay became a 6D5N holiday in The Residence Bintan. We usually stay in the Lagoi area. This would be our first time outside of it and thus a new adventure with no expectations. When we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly front desk staff, and learnt that the following day till end of the week was the “Island Roots Cultural Weekend”. The Residence Bintan already has many different activities available including complimentary ones such as stand up paddle, kayaking, animal feeding, etc. Along with these, the cultural activities further added to the schedule and kept us busy. Our kids had tremendous fun at every activity and learnt a lot about the Indonesian culture. What stood out was how all the staff were extremely warm and friendly and took time to explain to us the history behind the traditional performances and games. We naturally joined in the fun. Needless to say, that was the reason why we decided to say Yes when our kids asked us if we could extend our stay for another 2 nights to experience all the cultural activities with the very wonderful staff. And if you enjoy yoga, or have always wanted to try a yoga session, there is daily yoga morning session conducted by Idu who is extremely experienced and knowledgeable to guide you in your practice. Our family thoroughly enjoyed it and I was able to find back my flexibility after 5 days 🙏🏻 Special Thanks to Idu, Tono, Jarwo, Ganga, Dani, Lati, the HR team, Tess and many more for their wonderful hospitality throughout our stay. Your kindness stays with us. We highly recommend The Residence Bintan to anyone looking for a place not too far from Singapore to have fun and unwind with their family. We booked the beach pool villa for 2 nights. A quick getaway. The room had breakfast included. The resort is hidden and tugged away at the edge. On the website, it shows how long it takes from each ferry, and we decided to take a ferry from SG to Tanjung Pinang since the shuttle ride was only supposed to be 45 minutes. We informed them of our ferry details. 11 am departure from SG and arrived on time. It turned out that we had to wait over one hour in the hotel shuttle. The hotel staff was not forthcoming with the wait time and kept saying it was a few minutes. In the end, we arrived at the resort at slightly past 2pm(IND time) which meant, it took us 4 hours to get here from Tanah Merah ferry terminal. The ride from the ferry terminal to the resort is bumpy. And mostly unpaved roads. We were hungry. And annoyed. And the guy at the front desk proceeded to dismiss us. And claimed that he will give us an early check in. Annoyed, I said, I’d give them a one star review. Which I wanted to. And he tried to offer some stuff which we turned down. However, when we got to our room — the operation manager came to see us. Offering us a pizza and coconut. It was hard to reject but he was very friendly and persistent. Pool is very tiny and somewhat dirty. Lots of chlorine though. And… it looked nothing like the photos. Room was ok. Had dinner on the first night at Rica Rica. Food is pretty good — Singapore prices. Rimbun offers grilled stuff. Breakfast was decent. With a good spread. When we went back to the room after breakfast, the door didn’t work. We couldn’t get into the room. The service: the manager was really good. He went above and beyond to connect with other guests as well. The rest — manage your expectations and definitely not 5 star standard. They offered a car to drive us back to the ferry terminal for our departure. I don’t usually accept any of the service recovery but I have to applaud them for being so insistent that it’s almost uncomfortable if we do not accept it.

It’s our 4 or 5th time as returning guests to the bintan residences and it’s like coming back to a familiar friend every time. Rajeev and his solid team, Toni, Jarwo and jay are always a joy to see. They are attentive without being intrusive. They are dedicated, swift, quiet and discreet in their engagements to make sure that the guests are well taken care of. Be it attending to a minor cut of my younger son when he accidentally shattered the glass bottle in the room, to getting the external pest control to work when I casually mentioned about mosquitoes, this team have been tight since the inception of the resort and what I marvel about them is that they make a conscious effort to remember their guests and their preferences, even from where we last left off. For our recent trip we tried the banana boat experience and revisited the atv course which has gotten more challenging than I last remembered. New additions like an outdoor badminton setup, a basketball hoop kept my boys occupied. And for me, the yoga at the beach was an absolute dream. And old favs like the games room with pool and table tennis and onsite farm visit certainly took some iPad gaming time away from the kids. We were fortunate to come by during the week where the resort has lined up cultural activities like outdoor traditional dance performance, hat making, henna painting, and onsite vendor market. They were very nice distractions from our usual afternoon fiesta when the sun was too hot and instead we were napping our time away We promised to be back soon and meanwhile do consider giving the residences a try if u are contemplating. It’s as wonderful as what we and others have described it .

The bed decoration, cake, and especially the teepee tent were such a beautiful surprise for our kids, they were absolutely excited and couldn’t stop talking about it. Seeing their happiness made our arrival even more special and memorable. Everything has been perfect so far, and we sincerely appreciate all the effort, attention to detail, and warm hospitality from your team. What touched us even more was how friendly and welcoming every staff member has been. Every time we met someone around the property, they greeted us warmly and showed such kind and genuine gestures, which made us feel truly comfortable and cared for throughout our stay. What impressed us most was not the facilities, but the people. Rumi gave us an excellent spa experience. The treatment was relaxing and professional, and our son even fell asleep during the kids’ spa session, which speaks for itself. Dani provided warm, attentive, and genuine service throughout our dining experiences, especially towards our 5-year-old son. His kindness made our family feel very welcome. Kiki made the farm visit fun, engaging, and memorable. Our son had an amazing time happily chasing the geese and interacting with the animals. Kiki’s enthusiasm and friendliness made the experience even more enjoyable. Mustika was always helpful, friendly, and dependable during our buggy transfers and throughout our stay. He consistently went the extra mile, including helping me get the cigarettes I was looking for. His willingness to help was greatly appreciated. Ryanto welcomed us warmly from the moment we arrived and ensured our stay went smoothly. He patiently shared information about the resort’s activities and facilities, helping us make the most of our holiday. We would also like to thank the staff member at breakfast whose name we unfortunately did not catch. He prepared kopi tarik, teh tarik, and Milo for us, and the kopi tarik tasted exactly like the traditional kopitiam-style kopi tarik that I love. It was a small detail, but one that made us smile and feel at home. Together, they made our family feel genuinely cared for. We’ve stayed at beautiful resorts before, but what makes this resort truly special is its people. Every staff member greeted us with genuine warmth, kindness, and hospitality. Throughout our stay, our family felt welcomed, comfortable, and at home. Thank you for creating such wonderful memories for us. We will leave with fond memories and hope to return again in the future.

We didn’t have any major issues during our stay. Everything met our expectations, and we had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The only minor downside is that the resort is quite secluded, so there aren’t many attractions or restaurants nearby. However, this also makes it a perfect destination for those looking for peace and relaxation. The food and drinks at the resort were a little on the expensive side, but the quality and service were good. The other side note is that there’s alot of insects near our private pool. So plese bring insects repellent not only mosquitoes repellent.

The service is excellent. My shoes sole came off and they manages to glue it back. Superb. All the staff were very friendly and smiling all the day.

It takes 1.5 hrs from the ferry terminal to the resort. Limted restaurant options in the resort. If there is a TV in the living room area will be perfect.

The location is around 90min drive from ferry terminal. But it was beautiful place. It was quiet and nice. Though we didn’t play a lot of activities there due to young kids, we saw that there are many water and land sports. We also able to access to the beach. We got to do stargazing even. Kids club were kind of smaller than expected and outdoor playground. Nothing much but somehow my kids enjoyed it there. It was a chill trip to lepak and what we really enjoyed most was the service. Service was excellent. My kids (4 & 7yo) love the staffs and keep on talking about how they made their days. We got a decent massage and earth basket tour too! Oh yes. We booked a tour to see fireflies too.
