Lovely hotel close to all amenities. Clean, comfortable and good-sized room. Breakfast was delicious and staff were fabulous. Would stay there again.

Excellent breakfast really good variety everything cooked and presented very well, lovely staff especially Nial.rooms very clean (unfortunately my carpet had been burned by someone using straightners) otherwise everything was perfect. We were unfortunate that due to family circumstances we were there over a bank holiday so the Saturday Sunday room rates were quite expensive where as the Monday Tuesday were very good. I would definitely stay here again.

The location was perfect to walk to all the sites and to many, many restaurants and pubs. The lobby and bar area are lovely. The room was quite spacious. The bed was comfortable. Shower water was hot and strong flow. I loved the toiletries, kettle, bottled water, and variety of coffee and tea options in the room. It was so close to everything! The staff were absolutely incredible! Excellent customer service and very welcoming. I will definitely be back!

Would not recommend staying here. There was no hot water on the evening we arrived so we were not able to shower. When we informed the receptionist (who came to the room to check) he shrugged his shoulders and said there was nothing he could do about it. I am aware cold exposure is very popular trend these days but this is simply not good enough. Stay somewhere else.

My room was spotless and clean and comfortable. I had a kingsize bed and it was perfect. I could hear a few drunk people outside even with windows closed. Overall slept well. Breakfast was lovely & staff were all professional and helpful.

I highly recommend The Kilkenny Inn to anyone who visiting Kilkenny. It's a 30 bed property within walking distance to all city amenities. It's a modern, comfortable and impeccably clean property with private parking. Breakfast was excellent and we found the staff to be most helpful at all times. Looking forward to staying here again in the future.

Very clean and friendly, modern with everything I required. The only minor issue was Luke warm water for a shower in the evening.

It was a unique property. The bar was nice. Short walk to restaurants and shopping. Appreciated the on site parking. The staff was friendly and helpful. A very enjoyable experience.

Second time. As good as the first that’s why we came back. Brought my husband

Overall, the stay was very good. Though the hotel may be just off the main "tourist" areas, the walk to anything in town was only 5-10 minutes if that. Room was comfortable, clean, water was hot, all things you could want. Have no complaints and would definitely stay here again without hesitation. The only drawback I would say is that some, not all, of the reception employees where not always the most friendly.

My husband and I stayed in Kilkenny for 1 night and was surprised to find that this Inn was lacking in many ways. For example, there was only one available outlet in the room (unless you want to unplug the lights) and not even 1 in the bathroom. The bathroom sink had no hot water. There wasn’t any clock or alarm. The windows don’t close completely and the carpet was dirty. The bar in the hotel was completely closed. Needless to say, the pictures portrayed for this hotel are deceiving. We expected small and simple, but this is more like a budget motel in terms of class. Disappointing.

Excellent hotel, right close to all attractions. We really enjoyed that we could park the car and walk to everything we wanted to see and do. Beautiful view of the St. Canice Cathedral at night. Quiet location, slept with the windows open. Would recommend.

My wife and I added Kilkenny to our itinerary as a way to break up our trip between Killarney to northern Dublin. Therefore, we treated this hotel as simply a place to sleep and shower before heading off the next day. No bells and whistles here. Just an OK place to rest before moving on. *Restaurant was closed. Needed to walk into town for food, but we planned on doing this anyways.

Very friendly and helpful staff

We enjoyed our stay at the Kilkenny Inn in August 2022. The staff was welcoming and efficient. We appreciated that we were allowed to park in the hotel lot for a few hours before our check-in time. The hotel is very convenient to St. Canice Cathedral which is around the corner. The one safety concern we had was with the bathtub. Visitors need to be careful when coming out of the tub since it is quite deep. Overall we felt that the Kilkenny Hotel was reasonably priced for its convenient location in Kilkenny town.

Great stay

The night security guard was one of the rudest people I ever met. Would never stay here again, way nicer places throughout Kilkenny that we saw.

The Inn is located in a truly great location for exploring the town. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the service was just alright. We had much kinder front desk and reception employees at other hotels.

A clean comfortable 3 star hotel on the edge of the town centre. It was easy to walk to visit the main sites.We stayed for 4 nights. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate and there was a reasonable choice.

We chose this hotel as it purports itself to be a boutique hotel um. We have stayed in a fair few boutique hotels over the years and this ain't one of them. Our room was very dated and shabby with a bathroom sink that was all cracked and looked like some one had tried to glue it back together. The hotel could do with re decorating all through in reality. Don't go on a Friday as we had to listen to some women screaming and shouting slamming doors and banging about at 2-30 am sounded like a load of drunks who did'nt give a stuff about the other guests in the hotel. Would we recommend this to our friends or stay here again Nope definitely not.

It was an easy walk to the castle and downtown shopping areas. Beautiful canal walk by the castle as well.

Lovely hotel and great staff especially Jessie. Close to the town centre. Very clean. Only criticism would be that there is a dressing table but no mirror. So no place to do your hair as there is no socket close to the only mirror in the room.

Inn was great. The restaurant was a little disappointing. No local beers on tap. No Kilkenny beer or Bailey's at all. Some menu items unavailable and meals were average. Plenty of other bars in the town for our second night so we managed. Service and staff at the inn were great. Would recommend. Just dine elsewhere.

The inn is super cute! Perfect size for us. Loved that we could park our car and then walk everywhere in the city. The staff was so friendly and sweet. Biggest downside was stains on the underside of the comforter... blood? I’m not sure. It was so late by the time we saw them. Put a big damper on the room. Beds aren’t the comfiest either.

Parking at hotel is really convenient if you have a rental car!! Hotel has elevator if that is a consideration. Clean, comfortable. Location is walkable to castle, Smithwick’s, restaurants and shops.

Everything started off great. They let us park at the hotel early while we did our tourist thing during the day. Really only two things wrong my bed was broken which they tried to fix us ten towels to hold up. It didn't work bed was very uncomfortable and I had a terrible sleep. Also the shower didn't drain which made me grumpy and give a terrible review. Otherwise the hotel was nicely renavated.

Great location. Walking distance from attractions and several places to eat. Also couple of blocks from dunnes which is like a wal mart. Bakery, groceries and deli. Hotel doesn't look the best from outside but inside is very nice.

Nice hotel and friendly staff, clean and tidy room. Was surprised by 2 individual sized bottles of wine as well as bottles of water and plenty of tea/coffee in the room for us. Overall pleasant hotel experience and room services.

Great little Boutique hotel 15 mins walk to castle. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Recommend for groups, family or couples. Breakfast was extra at €10pp but nice hotel bar and free WIFI and Car Park. Rooms were newly & tastefully renovated, Voya bathroom products , safe , hairdryer, robes , feee water and tea making facilities . Overall a lovely city centre hotel and highly recommended.

The hotel was fine for our one night stay. The location was good and the staff were friendly. Nice to have free parking. However, the space was not as clean as I would hope. There were cobwebs in the corner near the ceiling (also cobwebs in my parents' room next door). I turned over one of the provided glasses and it was very dusty and not usable. The bathroom was a bit rundown.

I was actually a bit disappointed in the hotel. While the location is absolutely wonderful, we found the hotel to be quite worn down. The room and washroom were just a bit shabby for the price that we paid, and the beds were really quite uncomfortable. The staff were very nice, and the breakfast lovely and reasonably priced. I would have been fine with the hotel if the price had been more reasonable.

Pro - close to everything, the food next door is fantastic, and the view is lovely. Con- the bed was horrible. Literally we could feel the springs.

Had dinner at the restaurant Kernel and it was terrific with great service One of our beds needed replacing and disappointing that staff didn’t know it was broken prior to our arrival Overall I would stay again as it was clean and very close to everything in town

This hotel is close enough to all the local action, but on a side street so that it is quiet. I could see the St. Canice's church from my window. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Room was below average and the shower was in need of a total update.

This hotel is in quite a shabby area and looks very tired. The reception area is very small and dark. That said there were good points. On site parking. It's a five minute walk to the medieval mile. The towels and linen were clean and fresh and breakfast was good. Both receptionists were friendly and helpful. For one night it was okay. Would I stay here again? Sorry but not really.
