Reviewed Sep 19, 2026The facilities were clean and well maintained, and the large fan provided was helpful during the extreme heat. Breakfast was nice!
There was no air conditioning, so I had to keep the window open. As the hotel is in the city centre, the voices and shouting outside continued until late at night, possibly because people were celebrating France’s World Cup victory.

Reviewed Sep 14, 2026La amabilidad del chico de recepción, pese a ser su última entrada y llegar bastante cerca del limite de hora de entrada fue muy amable. El hotel queda cerquísima de la calle de restaurantes donde se puede cenar a la hora española. Muy cerca del castillo y del barrio antiguo. Hay aparcamiento de pago en parquímetros en la misma calle del hotel. La cama muy cómoda, habitación pequeña lo que no importaba en mi caso dado que estaba de paso. El baño también es muy pequeño, tiene todo lo necesario pero es muy reducido.
A tener en cuenta que no hay ascensor si tienes problemas de movilidad.

Les fenêtres étaient ouvertes et du côté de la rue donc la nuit nous entendons le va et vient des gens allant chercher de la pizza au restaurant en face de l’établissement aux petites heures du matin . Cependant, un ventilateur était disponible si nous aurions voulu fermer les fenêtres.

Parfait pour une escale entre la gare SNCF et l’aéroport. La ligne de Bus Nº3 pour l’aéroport est à 2 minutes à pied et 30 minutes de trajet.

No tiene ascensor y teníamos habitacion en la segunda planta. El recepcionista nos subio una maleta. Se anuncia con desayuno y no tiene. Solo una cafeteria en el pasillo. En agosto hacia calor y solo había un ventilador. No había aire acondicionado. A veces se puede aparcar en la calle, paga do. Otra opción el parking de la estación de tren.

While the room was on the smaller side, it was fully functional for our stay. Please note that there is no air conditioning or mini-fridge in the room. A fan is provided, which helped keep the room reasonably comfortable, though it can still get warm.

Aggiungo solo riguardo alcune camere più piccole rispetto ad altre. Ma nel complesso e' andato tutto bene,e ci tornerei.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026Je ne suis restée qu'une seule nuit mais j'ai apprécié la gentillesse et le professionnalisme du personnel ( la dame qui faisait le ménage). La personne à l'accueil ( un monsieur) est particulièrement professionnel et souriant: c'est très agréable. Je suis arrivée vers 10h le matin et j' ai apprécié d' avoir pu laisser mes bagages en sécurité avant d'avoir ma chambre. Cela m'a permis de profiter de la journée. La chambre était belle et propre et la douche spacieuse.
Du tapage nocturne dans la rue entre 4h et 6 h du matin mais l'hôtel n'y est pour rien et cela ne m'empêchera pas de revenir. Je suis contente d'avoir découvert cet hôtel.

Keine Abwechsung beim Frühstück. Kein Frühstücksraum. Keine Klimaanlage - was bei tagsüber ca 40° und nachts über 25° sehr anstrengend war. Da das Zimmer zur Straße lag, konnte man sich entscheiden, ob man wegen der Hitze oder der Straße nicht schlafen wollte.

Reviewed Jul 16, 2026Einfaches Hotel in bester Lage, Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar. zum Hauptbahnhof sind es nur drei Stationen mit der Straßenbahn. Der charmante und sehr engagierte Betreiber hätte allein schon mehr als 10 Punkte verdient! Zimmer sind ausreichend groß und ruhig, das Frühstück wird im Zimmer (auf die Minute pünktlich!) serviert.

Reviewed Jun 28, 2026Le gérant a le souci du détail avec ses clients et ça fait toute la différence. En période de canicule, il a offert un sorbet citron pour rafraîchir les nouveaux arrivants. Les restaurants et le quartier du Vaugueux se situent à 10min à pieds de l’hôtel.
L’établissement manque de climatisation mais cela peut aussi correspondre à un souhait pour le climat.

Reviewed Jun 27, 2026The hotel and the room were very clean, nice and comfortable and located 5 minutes walk from the Chateau. The bed was very comfortable and our room was upgraded for free due to a cancellation. We were provided with a very strong fan that made a whole difference in the extreme weather, and the lovely gentleman at reception game me a lolly and a fridge watter bottle which was so kind and refreshing! We chose not to have the breakfast as we left early. The room had black out curtains and blinds, we had a very good sleep, it was quiet. The shower was very strong. Some people complained on their reviews about having a curtain instead of glass enclosure, but I don't think it is a massive inconvenience. Good communication too, I also received a welcome pack with a PDF with recommendations in the area. Overall a very good stay. I recommend it, as very good value for money as well.

Reviewed Jun 25, 2026Wir waren gerade in der größten Hitzeperiode bei 41 Grad in der total aufgeheizten Stadt. Das Hotel hat uns deshalb einige Tage vorher sogar angeboten, kostenfrei zu stornieren. Sie haben aber darauf hingewiesen, dass sie in jedem Zimmer einen großen Ventilator stehen haben. Da wir aber keine Alternative mit Klimaanlage gefunden haben, haben wir uns durch die Nächte mit dem Ventilator gehangelt. Das junge Besitzerehepaar hat versucht, es uns so gut es ging, zu erleichtern. Sie boten uns kühle Getränke und Eis an. Frühstück aufs Zimmer war nett.
Leider war in dem Zimmer ein unangenehmer Geruch.

L'hôtel et ma chambre se trouve en face d'un restaurant pizza ouvert la nuit jusque 6h du matin. Les jeunes mangent et discutent toute la nuit dans la rue. Il faisait très chaud les 15 et 16 juin 2026. La chambre n'étant pas équipée de climatisation, j'ai essayé d'utiliser le ventilateur de la chambre qui était trop bruyant. Il était également impossible de dormir la fenêtre ouverte. Au final, je n'ai pas réussi à dormir correctement 2 nuits de suite

Vue sans intérêt mais calme garanti. Parkings (payants) très proches de l’hôtel. Nous n’avons pas testé le petit déjeuner.
Literie correcte mais hélas lit en 140. Le salle de bain est nickel avec cependant une douche de petite dimension

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026The room had great blockage of light and the room fitted us well for a few nights. Friendly reception staff and consideret cleaning staff. Conveniant coffee/tea station on upper level also offering a micro and cutlery.
The matress on the bed of room 203 was worned out, or of lower quality, our backs did not appreciate the stay. Window toward the street does not block out all noise. Note that this location is very close to bar and club area so people and car drivers make noises between 00-06. If a light sleeper like me, try to get a room the other side of the house.

W hotelu czysto, pokój w bardzo dobrym stanie wyposażony wystarczająco na wygodne funkcjonowanie, łóżko bardzo wygodne. Śniadanie bardzo dobre, przyniesione punktualnie do pokoju. Pan który się nami zajmował przesympatyczny, uśmiechnięty i udzielił nam wszelkiej pomocy. Caen, choć mało turystyczne, jest ciekawym miejscem do z widzenia i znakomita baza wypadową do zwiedzania regionu Calvados.

No kettle to make tea,i know not always a thing in European hotels, but a mini fridge would be a nice.Quite a noisy road,though cannot blame owner for that..

Reviewed May 29, 2026Great location, only a few stops from main station and good access to public transportation. Clean room, comfortable bed. I was amazed how good the windows were to minimise noise as the room was on the street side. Thankfully, a fan in the room for the hot weather. Nice staff and spoke English Breakfast was okay, reconsider if you prefer a heavier breakfast.
The bathroom was a bit tight and no place for shampoo in the shower.

Reviewed May 28, 2026Volvería a alojarme. Localización muy céntrica y habitación pequeña pero con todo lo necesario para una estancia corta. El recepcionista fue muy amable, a pesar de mi francés pachucho. Que te traigan el desayuno a la habitación es un puntazo. Desayuno muy completo además, con una cantidad generosísima de café.
Un poco caro pero todo en Francia es caro

Vu l'emplacement de l'établissement, on entend quand même les bruits de la rue...

Reviewed May 20, 2026Delizioso alberghetto in centro. Comodissimo e vicino a tutti i servizi. Frank, il titolare, è una gradevolissima persona, gentile e disponibile! Pulizia eccellente! Buona la colazione ma viene servita esclusivamente in camera perché non ci sono aree comuni. Molto silenzioso anche se si affaccia sulla strada. Si parcheggia comodamente intorno al perimetro dell'albergo e gratuitamente dalle 19.00 alle 8 del mattino e giorni festivi. Pur essendo un 2 stelle, lo consiglio davvero
Purtroppo l'albergo non dispone di ascensore e bisogna fare le scale per arrivare ai piani. Frank è stato gentilissimo e ci ha aiutato con i bagagli, ma sarebbe un problema per chi ha qualche difficoltà motoria.
