Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, seperate dressing room was a bonus, as were the real coffee bags! Staff were very nice, friendly and efficient even though they were very busy. Breakfast was well worth the extra cost.

The gentlemen that we presume was the manager was welcoming and wished us a good stay on his exit.

We felt the room was a little tired and was unlike those pictured on the website.

As family of 5 cottage we had was perfect. Just needed it for one night while visiting friends near by. Had all we needed The kings Arms also great for food

Sampson is a lovely room with a small sitting room. Very comfortable and on the ground floor. Perfect location for me in the village close to my family. Very quiet and with very good food.

I would have liked breakfast included. Also a hand held shower instead of a fixed head and a grab rail on the wall. Perhaps also a TV in the bedroom as well as the sitting room.

Spacieux et bien aménagé. Très joliment décoré.

There was no wardrobe or drawers in bedroom, I don’t expect to pay all that money to be living out of a suitcase!! When we cut short our stay a member of staff agreed to refund us but then obviously the manager had other ideas. He then took the money back from our account before finding out if it had left so we then ended up paying twice. We had to keep contacting them & in the end our bank got involved & we were eventually refunded the over payment. Very stressful.

The duvet on the beds were a little too heavy for summer use, and a wardrobe would have been nice, rather than a rack with a set of hooks!

The accommodation is in a beautiful location and was incredibly comfortable and cosy throughout our stay. It was exceptionally well equipped, with everything we needed, making it feel like a real home away from home. Despite the issues mentioned below, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return in the future.

The accommodation offers good value for money overall. However, breakfast is charged at an additional £13.50 per person, and unfortunately the quality does not justify the price. The cooked breakfast was acceptable, but the quality of the ingredients used could be significantly improved. For a £13.50 breakfast, I would expect premium-quality produce. The continental selection was also limited and would benefit from a wider variety of fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, and other breakfast options. Any issues we raised during our stay were dealt with promptly, which was appreciated. However, unless the quality and variety of the breakfast are improved, I believe it should be included within the accommodation price rather than charged as a premium extra. Finally, small details would make a noticeable difference to the overall experience. Items such as coffee and tea mugs, fruit juice glasses, and bread frequently needed replenishing. Paying closer attention to these details would help create a much better dining experience. Cooked to order would be more beneficial rather than pre-ordering the night before.

The breakfast was horrendous, we waited 40 minutes before they released they misplaced our preorder which they asked us to fill on on arrival and a further 14 minutes before getting it and was acquired taste due to smoked bacon which ruined my breakfast.

No Gluton free cereal or bread for toast with breakfast. Low water pressure took a long time to fill a bath and the shower head was just a trickle.

This is a nice hotel and in a good location for Westonbirt Arboretum. The en-suite and furniture were a bit dated and could do with modernization, but the staff were friendly, it was reasonably priced, and the bedding and towels were very clean. It's not a luxury hotel, but it had everything you needed for a comfortable stay and the rooms were a good size.

Absolutely perfect for a night's stay in the area. Lovely food and great staff.

Only a thick duvet available on the hottest night of the year (I took it out of the cover). Staff member did offer to change it for me though when I mentioned it.

Its character, facilities, location, ample parking and the friendliness of the staff. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Try their homemade pies.

Really lovely old building lots of character ! Breakfast was excellent both days lots of choice ! We had a meal one evening and that was also very good with generous potions ! The staff were amazing ,it was the hottest day and they left plenty of water in my bedroom which was really appreciated and there was a fan !

Nice old pub with character and great garden. Bedroom and bathroom spacious and well laid out. Quiet and comfortable.

Friendly staff and a comfortable room. The only drawback for me was that the shower was too hot to get into (may have been operator error). As it is a pub, it was on the main road so there was some noise from passing traffic in the night.

Lovely pub in a beautiful location with fabulous food (well beyond my expectations). The vegetarian options were really good and the vegetarian breakfast delicious. So much better than hotel food! Very friendly and helpful staff (thank you Sam). Close to the National Arboretum which Sam recommended as a great place for a walk - stunning! I would highly recommend staying here.

Easy check in and check out, cosy and comfortably beds

I chose this hotel for it's proximity to Badminton Horse Trials (10 minute drive). My room was located in the main hotel and it was immaculate and peaceful. I found all the staff to be kind and caring. I didn't eat at the hotel but the menu certainly looked appetising! I would have no hesitation in staying again.

The room was very quiet and the beds were comfortable. The pub staff, food, atmosphere was great and perfect location for travelling to Badminton. Would return.

Bedrooms were very tired. But they have plans to get them refurbished.

We booked a twin double and got a small double bed. The bath took an hour to run and the shower didn’t work. Everything closed very early . Staff not very helpful.

The mattress was ancient and had a massive dip in it, old, broken and made my back very sore. Bathroom was old. Locked slightly mouldy windows - which were noisily cleaned by a window cleaner before 08:30!!! All rather dated and could be cleaner.

Super location, friendly staff, reasonably priced. The building is stunning so rooms could be superb but need some attention.

Broken blinds, faulty iron that tripped the electricity. Sofa very worn and tired looking. Cobwebs everywhere. No coffee provided (but thank you for the hot chocolate, the children appreciated it). Carpets weren't the cleanest, perhaps hard flooring everywhere is more suitable in pet friendly accommodation.

The Kings Arms is a great place to stay. So friendly, towards my daughter and I and also our pet terrier Maisie who also veru much enjoyed her stay. Maisie was welcomed everywhere including at breakfast. As she is well behaved and sits under the table quietly, this worked out well for everyone. The bed was super comfortable, the room spacious and clean, and the facilities excellent. The dining and outside areas are large and well maintained. All set in a gorgeous village location. Would highly recommend, especially for pets.

Nice location in the Cotswolds, good for walks. Very decent pub food and drink, great beer garden for a sunny day.

The bed had a large dent in the mattress on the side. Recently had new owners so the staff were slightly confused with payment and check in systems but probably just teething problems with the change.

The appalling way we have been treated. We paid for bed and breakfast however there was no food at all. We had been told the restaurant was closed for evening meals in advance NOT that there was no breakfast at all. Staff were very apologetic and said we could be compensated by management. We have heard nothing. Our stay was 14/15th April and we have waited til now to write a review in the hope we would hear from the pub.

When we arrived the room we were allocated, by mistake was not clean. We were immediately transferred to another room, the landlady was very apologetic and offered us a complimentary wine over dinner, which was nice.

Lovely setting in a nice village. Great cottage for a large family like ours. We didn’t eat at the pub but had some drinks in the nice beer garden.

Unfortunately the place needs a huge deep clean. The shower was pretty gross. Thankfully the beds were clean and comfy. I think they need to spend a bit of money on updating the facilities and they would have an absolute gem. However for the price we paid it was adequate.
