We didn't have a sink in our bathroom. This wasn't mentioned in the room specs, in spite of our selection of a bigger room. Pillows are made of cotton and are very uncomfortable.
Reception inisistente, appartamento sporco e pieno di muffa. Nessun servizio al cliente. Non corrispondente alle foto. Costoso per quello che offre. Da evitare.
We were 9 people cramped into a two bedroom, one bathroom apartment and was charged for two apartments. We could not get hold of anybody to sort the problem out and had to pay an additional amount for alternative accommodation. Really terrible. The lady managing the check in was extremely helpful though, but could not really help us.
Increíble la atención del personal
We had luck and got a suite!!!! Amazing haha Was absolt cheap
The service was exceptinal, the guy on the desk was so helpful
The apartment has many upsides, the first being convenience/location. It couldn't be in a better location: there is ample dining and shopping within a short walk, and the city tram that can get you to the old city and all the main tourist attractions is cheap and a 2-minute walk away. Additionally, the neighborhood is very safe. The staff are all very nice and helpful as well, and the attendant helped arrange a taxi to the airport for us at a fair price. The downside is in the apartment itself. It is nothing like the advertised photos. The building is quite old and the "superior suite" advertised as able to accommodate 7 people was frustratingly cramped for just four people. The worst part is the bathrooms. One bathroom is just a toilet and small shower stall...but it is not humanly possible to shower in there without completely flooding the whole room. There is a hand sprayer and an overhead jet, both of which due to their size and location cannot be operated in any way that resembles a true shower. The other bathroom has a nice tub and shower head but no shower curtain; so if you choose to shower there, you will, yet again, flood the whole room. All in all, a really desirable location and great staff, but a subpar and deceptively advertised room.
The location is fantastic!! Super close to shops and restaurants. Really quiet and close to public transportation. Unfortunately our room was beyond bad and the staff seemed to think that even though we were the ones on vacation we should work with them. The very really health issues presented to them day one due to the deplorable condition our room was in was met with stalling and then unwillingness to do anything and then met with lies that they had done something to resolve the situation even though they had never once bothered to talk to us at all. The location doesn’t outweigh the mold.
Grosses Zimmer und sehr gute Lage. In Fussgängerzone
The location design and the welcoming staff atmosphere were very enjoyable
Great location and spot. Would stay again next time I visit
The attendant was superb—he was welcoming and friendly—carried our bags up and down to our room—and helped us book a local tour of Jerusalem. The room was not really as advertised—a 3rd floor walk up in desperate need of a renovation. Location was fabulous (except is at the end of a dirty inaccessible alley). To get to the hotel, you have to drag your suitcases two blocks and then up to the end of the aforementioned alley. I wouldn’t stay there again.
A very recommended experience and an amazing atmosphere at the hotel the staff gave us all we asked for was everything was excellent
The design of rooms of a very high standard walking distance from every possible place was amazing
Amazing hotel experience was perfect we enjoyed very much everything was clean and tidy and very muted
affa 60 has been the most horrible hotel/apartments I have ever seen in my life. First of all no taxi driver was able to find it therefore, inform the taxi to drop you at King George St V and then you will have to drag your luggage to the place that is all the way on the inside. The Building is not secured at all both front and back entrance are wide open at all times day and night with no doors, whether it rains or its is super cold you have absolutely no where to stay. When We were getting ready to check we waited 2 hours in the cold, there is no reception area or please to seat we were standing against the wall freezing in this 40 dg temperature. They do not have no bathrooms available we had to wait for our room to be cleaned to go in use the restroom. After 6 PM there is nobody available to check you in they will leave a note on the table and the keys at the door for you. So anybody can use your room without being caught. Now when it rained we were stuck in our room 113 because the wind was throwing all the water on the stairs and we would get wet, the ground floor was flooded. To top it all the whole building smelled because they have a sewage problem. The covered it with a carpet in the alley. That is why in the rooms they put a very concentrated scented perfume to cover the sewage smell. The beds are super uncomfortable and the toilet and rooms are super old. BEWARE of the pictures you see online because they are not accurate and promote false advertising.
nice helpfull stuff
Excellent place , excellent stay all comfortable. Will recommend to others
Not to easy to find, very helpful staff and clean and tidy inside
Great location, big and spacey apartment, good service, very central but quiet.
The apartment was new, and comfortable. We had a little issue, but the property took care of it. The building is located in the center, in the shopping area and the Old City is walking distance (20 minutes). The famous market is walking distance too. I advice the Hotel Jaffa 60.
The pictures on line misrepresented reality of the conditions of the rooms. They were not well maintained. The rooms were smaller than anticipated. We were traveling with other families and I paid more than they did and got the smallest room. The location of the hotel was perfect for visiting Old Jerusalem and finding places to eat.
The apartment was in a small block close just off Jaffa St which has a good range of shops and good tram and bus connections. We bought a RavKav card from the main station (longish walk) which entitles bus and tram use - the process is confusing but the bus station staff were helpful. The apartment is a great place to stay for accessing this interesting city and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Thé accomdations were great and so was the location! We did, however, have MAJOR problems finding the hotel. The manager upgraded us for free to fix the issue.
The closest parking I could find to this hotel was around a half a mile. It was located on the dirty side alley, I couldn’t even find it using WAZE……Once I carried my bag all the way there there was no one to check me in, I searched the whole place for a worker. Then I called the number that was displayed on the sign- left a message but still no reply. – I will be canceling my credit card payment and Commenting on yelp when I get back from my trip!!!
The staff were great but the hotel itself left much to be desired. We booked a triple room that is described as having a living room and kitchen. There was one small area that had both a sofa and a kitchen. When the sofa bed was pulled out, it was impossible to move around and you are in fact sleeping in the kitchen. The bathroom shower is poorly designed so the entire bathroom is flooded when you take a shower. And the internet was unreliable.
A complete disaster fire broke out in basement and entire place smells like soot. To boot I had the presidential suite. One man operation, entrance is up a shady alley. Basically an apartment building converted to hotel rooms. No elevator and have to carry your lugguges up yourself. No parking as street alley and cross street is closed off to cars
Wonderful place, perfect staff and vacation. We will back.
Best pleace for vication!!! The staf was great, clean . Thanks
The location was absolutely phenomenal, easy walking distance from both Machne Yehuda shuk and the old city. There is no hotel parking, and the closest place (recommended by the hotel) to park was more dirt lot than parking garage, but it was fabulously close. There was a mix up about how many people we had and the room that the computer reserved for us (we were two families totaling 8 people, so outside the box), but the hotel managers gave us an extra room to make sure we had plenty of space for everyone in our party. The rooms were air conditioned, they got nice and dark at night, and they were quiet for sleeping.
This manager is a special man very good place to stay just out side of old city and the main walking street perfect
Beautiful Jerusalem hotel in the heart of the city. The staff was very accommodating and provided upgrade without requesting. Close to everything by walking. Would highly recommended and would return.
Nice place. A little difficult to find. There is no parking here. Staff was SUPER helpful.
The rooms are comfortable.. My only complain is that there is no direction as to how to get to the hotel, it took the taxi driver over 30 minutes to figure out where the hotel was located, and there was no one available at the desk to check us in. A kind guest had to reach out to the owner and giuided us to our room
The rm has to have a window I felt suffocating almost panic attack because it was enclosed no air flow even with ac overall everything was great
This property is NOT a hotel. This is important as the owner rarely answered his phone so getting the room key was very difficult. In addition, the owner wanted everything on his terms and was unwilling to come early to meet us to give us the key. The sheruts (shared transportation from the airport) were unwilling to take us to the property as they were unsure of the address. Turns out the room was down an alley where cars are not allowed. We found a sympathetic taxi who ultimately drove us to the hotel but of course we paid for this service. As for the room there was dust everywhere and exposed wires with a non working smoke detector (see pixs). We booked a superior suite with a total of 7 beds. The room had 2.5 beds in it. The owner refused to believe I booked a room with 7 beds until I shared the booking confirmation with him. Amazingly, they didn't have a room with 7 beds! The final straw was when the power went out and since we were on a basement level there was no light to get dressed by nor was there any hot water. Fortunately, we had small flashlights with us. The entrance and room had exposed wires which the power company said was a hazard this combined with a smoke detector that wasn't hooked up left us very uneasy. The final straw though was when I asked for a partial refund and I was told if I give a positive review only then would I get a refund. I refused as I wanted to warn fellow travelers to stay away!
I'll mention in points: 1. Room 114 which was assigned to us, had no sink in a bathroom. So you have to go wash your hands in kitchen sink 2. The bathtub leaked and we had to get a new room... 3. ROOM WE HAVE NOW IS WINDOWLESS - yes, suffocating at night 4. SERVICE was good by the attendant (Zaffa) - but what good is it to stay in windowless room. This will ruin your trip - so please do not book these apartments just yet. Give then 6 months to fully renovate and get their act together and then book
Nice hotel, large room and perfectly situated should you want to see the best of this wonderful city
Location was perfect! They clearly just finished the apartment that we stayed in so there were a few finishing touches that were left undone but didn’t really impact stay. Such a lovely place!
Beautiful apartments in the center of the city!! Walking distance to the old city and to Machne Yehuda Souk. Best option out there for being right in the middle of the strong history of the old city and the fresh new hot spot for young people, couples or families to have the best visit you can in Jerusalem!
Whilst I found the apartment block reasonably easily, there was no obvious reception and because there was were no signs to say it was the Hotel (misnomer) Jaffar outside had to walk down the road and ask a neighbour. Eventually I found some bushy guy behind a curtain in the basement. i had phoned in advance of my arrival yet when I did so they appeared confused and said that they would ‘help me’. I think this meant that the ‘hotel’ would find me a ‘room’ that I had already paid for. Very kind of them! I was given a room that obviously hadn’t been finished, was dirty, where the duvet was damp, that was covered in dust, wires were protruding out if the wall, electrical units hadn’t yet been fitted and where one of the air conditioners was broken. It was definitely not the room pictured on the Expedia website nor a room that anyone would want to spend time in.
