Oluchi Lodge

My stay at Oluchi Lodge was great! I really enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, warm hospitality, and relaxing atmosphere. I would definitely visit again.

The lodge itself is a solid 10/10! 😍 The food was absolutely delicious 🤤 — we genuinely enjoyed every single meal. The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, always making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. She even upgraded us to an even more beautiful room, which made our stay extra special. 🥹❤️✨ Such a beautiful experience from start to finish. 🤍

De accommodatie was in alle opzichten geweldig! Dit was onze eerste stop tijdens onze reis in Zuid-Afrika en was ook meteen een van de hoogtepunten. Een luxe kamer voorzien van alle benodigdheden en een geweldig uitzicht. Ook was het ontbijt heerlijk en werden onze eitjes in ochtend met enthousiasme klaargemaakt door de chefkok! Voorafgaand aan de reis lazen we een aantal reviews over de bereikbaarheid van de accommodatie. Je moet inderdaad voor een gedeelte via een onverharde weg, maar dit was echt prima te doen en makkelijk vindbaar. Wij hadden een kleine auto (geen 4x4) en dat ging met gemak.

Niets , alles was super. Ik zou deze accomodatie aan iedereen aanbevelen.

The property was convenient and classy for us

The owner of the place are amazing, the staff and the chef are so welcoming and friendly. I loved every thing about the place. They even baked a birthday cake for me 🥹🥹.

Oluchi ligt prachtig! Zowel het verre uitzicht als de tuin en het gehele complex is erg mooi en uitstekend onderhouden. Het ontbijt was zalig. Ze hebben een hele goede ook zeer vriendelijke kok in dienst die alle lof verdient. De kamers werden keurig schoongemaakt door een hele vriendelijke vrouw. Martie, gastvrouw, doet er ook alles aan het je naar de zin te maken. Ze verzorgde zelfs een ontbijt toen we heel vroeg naar het Krugerpark vertrokken.

Wir haben hier für eine Nacht auf dem Weg in den Kruger National Park gestoppt. Der Empfang von Martie und Ben war äußerst herzlich, in unserem Zimmer fühlten wir uns sofort wohl. Das Frühstück auf der sonnigen Terrasse ließ keine Wünsche offen, der Ausblick auf das Farmgelände mit Wasser-/ Futterstelle und den Kudus war großartig. Unser Abendessen bestand aus mehreren Gängen, von denen einer köstlicher war als der andere. Wir waren nach 2019 zum zweiten Mal hier und kommen sehr gern wieder.

Wir haben rund zwei Stunden vor der Ankunft gebucht. Etwas erschrocken wurden wir dann empfangen, nach einer kurzen Zeit der Unsicherheit sehr herzlich. Wir wussten nicht, dass wir das Nachtessen (so haben wir es jedenfalls verstanden) 24 Stunden zuvor hätten anmelden müssen. Auf unsere Nachfrage, ob es denn etwad zu Essen gibt war die Antwort: Ein sensationelles Nachtessen was keine Wüsche übrig liess! Der Koch hat nur für uns etwas herrliches hergerichtet! Auch das Frühstück war einfach nur genial… Herzlichen Dank nochmals für den überaus tollen Aufenthalt!

I had a wonderful stay at Oluchi Lodge. I really enjoyed everything, from the delicious breakfast to the friendly and welcoming staff. The lodge was exceptionally clean, and everything was well maintained. The excellent service and comfortable atmosphere made my stay very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Oluchi Lodge to anyone looking for a great place to stay, and I look forward to visiting again.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful, took their time to show us activities that we can do nearby. The view from the room was everything. Ooh and our host even gave me a hot bottle on top of the air conditioning in our room because my body was not warming up 😍😍. She even gifted us with a voucher for return visit.

Wonderful location and fabulous views. The lodge was set back into the hill and felt so private. The interior was gorgeous and worth staying for the views alone.

Everything about the property was superb.

Loved the staff. The manager made us most welcome and our stay very comfortable, while the cook met every one of our special dietary requirements. Daily breakfast with an awesome view to savour. Great variety of fruit, with granola and yogurt, with eggs, mushrooms, beans plus more, with toast to top it all. This lodge is a hidden gem, beautifully located overlooking a beautiful valley. Being just outside Mbombela, it's remote while still in touch. The room is large, with all the amenities at your disposal to make the stay comfortable. Bed is firm, spacious and warm. And the view from the bed is spectacular. Loved the bath in the bedroom too.

Even the 3km gravel road in couldn't blemish this awesome venue.

Excellent breakaway venue, rooms are facing away from eachother creating 100% privacy and noise reduction from other guests. Personal catering needs create a VIP experience. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Martie, the host, is exellent and makes you feel really at home.

Ruhige Lage mit super Aussicht. Sehr freundlicher Empfang mit Willkommensgetränken und sehr leckeres Frühstück am Morgen.

Vriendelijk personeel. Wij hebben 2 avonden heel lekker gegeten in de lodge. Er wordt ter plekke door de kok een lekker 3 gangen diner voor je gemaakt. Mooi uitzicht. Fijne kamer. Let op, je moet een lang stuk met een onverharde zandweg omhoog om er te komen.

The fact that they don’t have back when electricity goes off. Their electricity seems to be disrupted by strong winds and thunderstorms. I also wish they could offer more options for breakfast

We loved the place so much because it is a nature lover's dream. Perfect for relaxing and recharging. The onwers and the stuff were so sweet. Will most definitely go back.

Beautiful room, lodge and garden with great views. During dinner the chef presented the meals so passionately which was wonderful. Martie was so sweat and welcoming to us.

The dirt road to reach the driveway was a bit bumpy, but it was all worth it

The crawling insect that where coming inside the room from the roof especially at night and my wife she scared of crawling insects. But either than that it was good.

This place is an absolute gem. From the incredible views, top class breakfast and dinner prepared by the chef, beautiful room (we were given the family room upgrade- spectacular!) and most of all kindness of the Hosts Martie and Ben who were so lovely and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The pool is really nice, sunset views from the water and the surrounding area is great. It has a sunrise viewing area just a few mins walk and then a great walking trail right from the lodge (about an hour walk). Thank you to Martie, Ben, chef and all the team - this lodge is stunning!

We liked everything in this place! The view was breathtaking, the food delicious, and the room very confortable! I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stop before or after Kruger! One night wasn't enough, I wish we could have stayed longer!

Ontzettend genoten van de locatie, de kamer, het eten dat voor ons werd gekookt (rekening gehouden met dieetwensen) door een fijne kok Mikano die het duidelijk met zoveel passie doet en Martie de host die echt haar best doet het zo goed mogelijk voor je te maken. Mooie uitvalsbasis om de omgeving te verkennen, dus ik zou meerdere nachten aanraden.
