A very good hotel in a strategic location. The facilities are great and the staff is super friendly and attentive. It's next to the pier and on one of the beaches with the most services. 100% recommended.

This place is a piece of paradise. We asked to be allocated the same room as our previous stay and this was sorted easily before our trip. The view is outstanding and the staff are brilliant. The rooms are super clean and we were welcomed with a welcome back room decor with balloons which was a lovely surprise. This is truly my favourite place I have visited. The beach is beautiful and there are bars and restaurants all along this stunning beach. We can’t wait to return to Mimpi again!

great location (literally next to the jetty) at long beach, at Perhentian Kecil Island. Easy to drop off (you’re the last to be dropped off but the first to be picked up to/from mainland). Nice hotel, neatly furnished with great breakfast. And long beach provided us with plenty of beach area to walk on and good variety of restaurants and activities.

Room 326 is noisy because of the machines (AC/transformer) nearby, especially at night. It would be great to improve the soundproofing of the window and the door. Also, the balcony AC units are loud when two are running, which makes it hard to enjoy the beautiful view.

Es un pena que los alojamientos de lo que podría ser un paraíso contribuyan a ensuciar el medio ambiente de una manera tan atroz. El uso de plásticos de un solo uso, la nula gestión de residuos y la poca empatía por lo que les rodea, hace que no sea un lugar en el que reflejarse. El hotel está bien pero es carísimo, más de 200€ la noche y sin desayuno.

Food and location is superb. We have a great time staying here, the staff us helpful and caters to our needs. We take the full board experience including activities. Best decision ever made. Will come again in the future.

Double charge of €800. Paid twice for the same stay. They used our mistake to make a profit. Refused any refund despite clear proof. Avoid at all costs.

Having been to Alunan Resort on the same island, this is not the hotel if you want more privacy. Hotel was new,staff were friendly but the ala carte food could do better .The best attraction was the swimming pool looking out to sea.The island is beautiful with crystal clear waters.

I would not recommend. We booked two rooms for our family. Rooms are very small and Air Con does not work. Also, we found plastic in our over priced smoothies from the bar. There are much better places to stay in this region.

El alojamiento está bien ubicado .El personal es muy agradable.La limpieza del hotel es normal.Es un hotel de playa,y aunque el personal se esfuerza,es muy notorio el desgaste al estar tan cerca del mar. El precio del hotel en temporada alta que es cuando fuimos nosotros,no se corresponde con la calidad ofrecida .Pagamos 195 euros la noche con desayuno incluido y vistas a la colina.Nos consta que es de las mejores opciones que pueden encontrarse en la isla,pero calidad precio no es una buena opción si pagas ese precio. Por otro lado,quería matizar que el juicio lo hago siendo española y quizás tengo integrado otro concepto a la asignación de estrellas a los hoteles.Quizàs personas de otra nacionalidad puedan dar una opinión diferente. El desayuno ofrece mucha comida asiática ,un rincón en vivo de huevos variados ,café,algún que otro dulce,tres tipos de pan que puedes tostar,mermelada,mantequilla....no está mal,pero faltaba mucha fruta .Solo pusieron sandía y quizás es algo que puede echarse en falta en un destino así. En resumidas cuentas...sólo recomendaría este hotel según fuese el precio.Al precio que he pagado yo,no volvería a repetir la estancia.

The staffs at Mimpi resort were very helpful and always smiling. The resort staff services were excellent...we just drop off our luggage at the Mimpi office near Kuala Besut Jetty and the staffs help us load and transport the luggages to the resort at Perhentian island. The resort is just next to the Jetty at the perhentian kecil. We were greeted with a refreshing welcome drink while processing the checkin. We book the room facing the beach and the view is fantastic. The beach in front of the resort were very clean ...We had our first snokelling at the resort beach and jetty area as the water were so clear....truly amazing...Overall, we enjoy our 4 days 3 nights stay at the resort and would highly recommend this resort to others who are looking to visit Perhentian Kecil. One other thing worth to mention.....upon check out of the resort, the Mimpi staff will guide us to the Jetty and then to the dedicated boat for the resort guests ensuring we onboard the boat and arrived safely back to Kuala Besut. Kudos to all Mimpi resort staffs for the great services. Will see you again next time.

Absolutely Disappointed – Locals Beware We stayed at Mimpi Resort hoping things had improved since our last stay in 2022. Unfortunately, it was a complete letdown—again. The breakfast was terrible. Cold, tasteless, and it gave me a stomach ache that ruined my final morning. I checked out just 15 minutes late due to the discomfort, and instead of asking if I was okay, the receptionist rudely called to remind us about the 12.00pm checkout—as if we were freeloaders. When we went downstairs, her expression was full of attitude. Yet, the moment foreign guests walked in, her face lit up with fake warmth and over-the-top politeness. It’s painfully obvious: if you're local, you’re treated second-class. We had actually planned to extend our stay, but after this experience, we cut our trip short and headed straight to Marriott instead. Best decision we made. Even worse, the manager witnessed us voicing our concerns—but rather than step in, he walked away like nothing was happening. No accountability, no backbone. And honestly, for what they charge? This place is hugely overpriced. Bad food, bad service, and worse attitude. We’ll be raising this to higher management—and trust us, we know the right people to speak to. Until serious changes are made, avoid this place at all costs.

Nice hotel, freindly staff and great location. A bit patchy service when it comes to refill of room amenities (coffee, tea, snacks and soft drinks in complimentary minibar).

The location is unbeatable right by the jetty and crystal-clear water view. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed with a modern island vibe. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always made us feel welcomed.. You can snorkel right in front of the resort! The beach is beautiful, and the snorkeling is incredible, with vibrant coral reefs and a variety of marine life. It was the perfect mix of comfort and nature - peaceful, relaxing, and truly memorable. Definitely one of the best stays I've had in pulau perhentian. Can't wait to come back again!

AVOID!! VERY BAD!! Ants in the bed and crawled over us. Room 323 deluxe ocean view (top floor triple bed). The ants kept coming, we didn’t sleep at all. Mimpi keep saying on other reviews they will sort their infestation, but they never do properly. This could easily happened to you as it will be in other rooms, especially garden view which is closed to the jungle at the back. They said their reception is 24 hours but it doesn’t say that anywhere, it says it closes at 11pm and no one was there last night. They offered 1 hour late check-out, no refund, nothing else. I wouldn’t stay here if you paid me. I will be leaving this review across multiple platforms. Mimpi will reply but you’ll notice it is an empty hollow reply of fake promises. We stayed in Mimpi Perhentian on our family trip. It was nice hotel. Rooms are good and clean. hotel staff's are helping and their hospitality was very nice especially assistance for luggage right way from jetty to hotel. But for food (Breakfast/lunch/dinner) need some improvement. Taste a bit disappointed but the restaurant area cosy and relaxed.

Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel durant 5 jours, le personnel est accueillant et aux petits soins, les chambres sont propres et spacieuses, nous avons eu une chambre vue sur forêt, mais cependant une certaine odeur de poubelles se dégageait… Malheureusement, l’insonorisation n’est pas optimale, entre le bruit des employés qui font le ménage et les autres clients qui claquent les portes, c’est assez dérangeant. Concernant le petit-déjeuner est varié entre sucré et salé mais il ne vaut absolument pas le prix demandé, je vous conseille de vous rendre sur les restaurants le long de la plage les prix y sont beaucoup plus abordables que ce soit pour le petit-déjeuner, déjeuner ou bien dîner. Cependant, l’hôtel est bien desservi en bateau, le fait de disposer d’une piscine est également un avantage. L’hôtel est près de nombreux restaurants qui se trouvent le long de la plage.

Smooth experiences .. great room with a nice ocean view .. price damn cheap not as publish rate (u need to be clever to find the deal online) .. breakfast menu are satisfy esp the soup noodle .. Ala cart menu for dinner esp the steam chilli garlic fish so yummy .. u should try it .. ammenities and minibar its FREE and refilable everyday .. salt water pool so clean until u dont want to go to the beach .. lastly u should try the in-house SPA package which includes 1hour body massage and 30 minutes soothing facial … so relaxing after a full day under the sun ..

we got the sea view triplex room. beautiful view. very cozy and comfortable. very nice. balcony has cofffe table and chairs as well as wooden rack to dry ur wet clothes.. Restaurant food are good but still can improve. wish add more elevator.

Our week at Mimpi Resort was deeply disappointing and totally not worth the high price. The only good thing is its prime location on a beautiful beach, but everything else fell far below expectations. The staff is unprofessional, often ignores guests, and shows very little interest in providing proper service—even during the low season when the hotel was only half full. It felt like they were there just for show, not to actually help guests. The rooms are poorly maintained; there are no wardrobes or proper storage, the shower head was broken, and we had to use the handheld shower for the entire week. Every time we entered the pool area, we were hit with an unbearable sewage smell, which made the environment unpleasant and unwelcoming. The breakfast was nowhere near the quality shown in the photos. The prices in the restaurant are completely unreasonable—serving low-quality fried dishes in stale oil—and it was honestly embarrassing. One of the most absurd moments was when we were served a deep-fried lettuce leaf, which was just ridiculous. We also requested a second key so we could come and go independently, but were told it’s impossible. We had to call reception every time we wanted access, which was very inconvenient and unnecessary. Finally, we asked at the reception about the opening hours of the souvenir shop inside the resort, but the staff member was unhelpful and completely unprepared. When she finally gave an answer, we arrived the next day only to find the shop closed outside the hours she mentioned. Overall, I strongly advise against staying at this resort. Food is well served. Crew is friendly and helpful. Room is clean. But the wifi is not very stable. The sea is clean. It is a truly short getaway spot for family and friends. It is also a good spot for company teambuilding programme. Mimpi is highly recommended for accommodation.

We had the pleasure of staying at Mimpi Perhentian from 1–4 May 2025, and the experience exceeded all expectations. Overall great experience with the hotel staff and we are pleased with the complimentary snacks and minibar drinks. Our room was big, clean and balcony was spacious. However, our room was located at the end of the level 1 and likely near to the kitchen and probably trash area at ground level so the smell was not pleasant when we opened the door to go out. We booked the sunrise windmill hike with the hotel and we are glad we did that! Although it was cloudy when the sun rose, but the view was still beautiful. Highly recommend Mimpi Perhentian Resort :)

Chambre pas très entretenu, il ne lave pas le sol. Il y avait tous les jours du sable dans la chambre et les draps sont pas changés. Piscine pas très propre. On m’a volé de l’argent dans mon sac ils ont fouillés dans mes effets personnels ils m’ont fait remplir un formulaire de réclamation, rien n’a été fait et aucun dédommagement fait. Service client à revoir !!! Le seul point positif est l’emplacement de l’hôtel c’est pour ça qu’il est beaucoup réservé reste très cher pour la qualité de service

Me & my wife stayed here for our honeymoon. It was such a lovely experience. We were treated with great hospitality by the staff especially by Mr Khai (F&B Manager), Hannan (Waiteress) & Farah (Reception). Even the other staffs also are friendly. For breakfast they provide ommelett (egg station) which is very satisfying for me. I highly recommend to choose MIMPI resort if should you are staying in Perhentian.

The hotel was amazing! It’s our second time staying at Mimpi and we would highly recommend this hotel for families. Staff were so helpful and pleasant and the food was amazing! Pool was wonderful as well after swimming in the ocean. Really amazing view of the beach as well.

Hotel and beach are stunning! Staff at the hotel was so nice, the spa team is wonderful. Thanks again to the lady and the manager whom upgraded us with complimentary. However a huge disappointment when I learnt at the end that hotel charged us 275 ringitt instead of 120 ringit to drop us from airport by a shared taxi and shared public boat to the hotel! It’s such a shame to scam your customers more than double! I advise you to not reserve the taxi and boat with hotel, no point as you can catch a grab and take a public boat by yourself and pay half price less.

Lovely resort, right next to the jetty which makes it easy to access from other islands and back to the mainland. It was quite luxurious with an infinity pool. The rooms were typical hotel rooms, unlike our previous two which were more like cabins, bigger areas. The service was efficient and friendly, the spa area was really lovely. The reason it’s isn’t 5 stars is, there was an overwhelming awful smell outside near the pool, it did limit how long I could sit there which was a shame, the lounges looking up the beach were on a great spot. The bathroom had a musty damp smell also. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. I would stay here again.

This is our second time here, and surprisingly, we were given early check-in! Maybe because it's low season, and the room is ready anyway. Really appreciate the flexibility of the hotel. I booked thru booking.com with a promotional rate, and it was really value for money, as we were given a room that has partial seaview (I managed to take really nice pictures!), and the room has mini-bar stocked with softdrinks and other canned drinks, it also included some peanuts and biscuits. Room is also very clean, and staff are very nice to accomodate our requests. The beach towels are all looking new!

Unterkunft ist weder einfach noch luxuriös. Sehr gut: Tauchschule. Gut: Minibar, Aussicht und Pool, Bademäntel. Verbesserungsfähig: Zustand der Duschen, Servicegedanken. Hauptproblem: Wir haben regelmäßig starken Abwassergeruch wahrgenommen, im Bad, im Zimmer, am Pool und bei den Liegen. Das empfinde ich persönlich als eklig.

Bel hôtel avec la piscine qui fait toute la différence. La seule sur l’île. Ne pas s’attendre à un standing d’un 4 étoiles français mais plus que bien cet hôtel a tout pour lui. Le personne est vraiment sympathique et toujours dispo. Seul le petit déjeuner était décevant. Sinon parfait vous pouvez y séjourner les yeux fermés. Les chambres sont propres et le ménage y est fait tous les jours.

Perfect locatoin for your visit at Perhentian Islands! Very clean, nice staff, good breakfast and lovely view looking over Long Beach. Wifi worked well and so did aircondition and water. Very very happy with our stay. Magical.

Flot arkitektonisk bygning. Fantastisk udsigt. Rigtig dejlig morgenmad. Dejlig stort værelse. Ikke eksisterende wifi og efter flere henvendelser dagligt opgav vi til sidst. Strømmen virkede ikke i køleskab og hel sikringsgruppe da vi flyttede ind. Der manglede også håndklæder og tandkrus. Saltvandspoolen der har en super beliggenhed med udsigt over stranden, fungerer som legerum for børnene under morgenmaden. Børnene indtager derfor maden i poolen hvilket kan ses på vandkvaliteten resten af dagen, selv om aften kan bunden ikke ses. Hvis værelsesdøren ikke lukkes hyler den. Flere gange var der døre der hylede i halve og hele timer uden reaktion fra receptionen der ligger lige ovenfor i hall'en. Udenfor ved de hyggelige solvogne lå der meget gammelt affald mellem stenene som man lå og kiggede på. Rammerne og potentialet for Mempi er enorme, det bliver desværre ikke udnyttet. Vær iøvrigt opmærksom på at medbringe kontanter. Der er ingen ATM og hotellet kan ikke være behjælpelig.

We paid quite a bit for this hotel. They have a very nonchalant attitude. Room was dusty, drawers had a layer of dirt in them. Refrigerators were not working. Shower was loose in the bathroom. They didn’t have enough towels for use. The staff are not efficient at cleaning the rooms. They actually lied to us saying they were cleaning our room and made us wait downstairs and when we went upstairs the room was not even touched. The breakfast was average. The dining stuff are very slow to take and deliver on orders. Long Beach is overcrowded.

Sewer smell in the lobby and outside sitting area. Hotel food was not great. The location was beautiful, and incredible snorkelling right on the beach in front of the hotel.

We’re grandmas who stayed for 2 nights only. We’re not trying to find the perfect resort nor looking for imperfection in one. But this was the 2nd most expensive resort on Long beach, hence it should be cautious with quality. Most guests’ reviews were good on staff friendliness, true. Criticism on breakfast, true. They seemed to be serving breakfast befitting for more affordable hotels. Room was clean but our bottled water, coffee/ tea replenishment was missed. Location- 2 mins walk from a chaotic jetty. Restaurants nearby are not that affordable to local tourists but quality acceptable. Activities- run by 3rd parties e.g. kayaking are too expensive for local tourists. Snorkeling was sheer disappointing. Quality of coral reefs: not as great as expected.

- Cleanliness issue: no place for fresh water shower in front of hotel, so many sand and wet in the lobby, escalator. - Room cleaning came very late, came to my room 5pm. - Very poor breakfast. - No prepare the room when I check in.

We had an amazing stay! I love their saltwater pool, the view was spectacular, nearby the Long Beach jetty which was convenient for us. One can snorkel just around the corner to the hotel and there are abundance of beautiful marine life. We booked the 2x Ocean Deluxe rooms and the view is gorgeous; comfy beds, clean room, water pressure is good and free snacks from the minibar. Mimpi is one of the few hotels in Perhentian Kecil which has 24-hour electricity hence the price tag. But it's worth it! However, there was a hiccup during our checkout, the reception guy insisted that we have not paid for our rooms; although we said we paid upfront. I had to dig out my bag to show him the receipt as proof we paid using a debit card upon checking in. I was taken aback by the way he insisted that we are in the wrong, in a cold, unfriendly & accusing manner, I did not expect such a treatment especially from a 4-star hotel staff. Mr Arif during our checking in was friendly & nice; only that particular guy during checkout was rather unpleasant. Other than that, we had a good stay at Mimpi Perhentian :)

The rooms are really nice but the breakfast was very disappointing. The smell of wee in the bathroom was very off-putting and the sewage leek outside was nit pleasant.

The Mimpi hotel is located on one side of 'Long Beach'. It has spectacular view of the bay, though it lacks a proper beach front since it is perched on the rocks. If you want to sit at the beach you have to use your own towel and/or borrow a chair from the adjoining hotel (Bubu). Rooms are clean, and staff is friendly and accomodating. Food is the low point of the hotel. From the breakfast (cold and very disappointing) to the lunch menu and food quality. We ate one time at the hotel and there-on took all our other meals at other venues.

Hotel in nice place, and if you get good room you have beautiful view on the bay. Thay have amazing staff in Diving Centre (Benny, Sara) However very low quality of breakfast, stuff at reception was not too supportive, lift did not work for 3 days, no hand soap in bath (unacceptable during Covid-19 time)

La única pega que le pongo es que desapareció una chaqueta de la habitación. Era una chaqueta blanca de punto, y quiero pensar que se la llevarían sin darse cuenta en el cambio de toallas. Pregunté en recepción pero no la encontraron.

Only one elevator at the hotel. Room service staff brought a non working iron. Buffet breakfast not up to expectations. The dining table is not set properly during breakfast i.e. guests need to get cutlery themselves napkin, fork and spoon, coffee/tea cup etc

Mimpi is one of the top hotels I have stayed, and I travel quite often, staying at high end luxury hotels worldwide. The room was absolutely amazing, spacious,clean, comfortable and welcoming. The staff is attentive, accommodating and welcoming. Truly an absolute gem of a hotel in paradise. The infinity pool is picturesque overlooking crystal clear ocean water of Long Beach. Truly, one of the most incredible experiences in my global travel experiences. From the moment I stepped of the ferry when Bob the chef welcomed me, to Sham, the Hotel Manager, welcoming me during check-in and check-out... a superior experience and comfortable memorable xperience. Mimpi - keep up the good work!

The location is wonderful. It was a beautiful view and close to the pier so that we didn't have far to go with our luggage getting off and back onto the boat to and from the mainland.

It had a pool overlooking the beach which was nice. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Awesome hotel to stay in Long Beach

Very nice ocean view

Perfect location right next to the main jetty. The only hotel with a swimming pool in Perhentian Kecil which is convenient in case you are traveling with small kids. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the food at the restaurant is delicious. The rooms are spacious and the views from the balconies are unbeatable.

The very best is it's the nearest to the jetty. The staffs are friendly and helpfull. The room is pleasant however with 6 person in a room with one bathroom causing a bit uneasy to us. Overall its ok but if there is a small gym, it would be nice.

I'm satisfied with everything about this hotel. Even i requested for early check in, they fulfilled my request.

There a bad smell all over the hotel. I don't think it was related to the hotel itself but for the place.

Upside - rooms are nice, staff are friendly, view is amazing. Downside - shower head is probably a little too high up, rooms are a little dark at night and late checkouts are charged at MYR15 per hour. Food can be improved (a little salty) and they don’t serve alcohol here. The outside of the property is a tad dirty though.

I really liked our stay in Mimpi. Very nice hotel and great service also. The Long Beach was beautiful, clean water and white sand. The place to see!

Right at the long beach. Easily accessible to Long Beach Jetty. Connected. Hotel staff are very kind and helpful. Rooms were very clean and new. Though i didn't get the beach facing room but who wants to stay in room when you have such a nice beach, pool area and nice restaurant. People can also spend time at Spa. If not included in package, you can pay rightaway and get a shoulder or half body spa at 40-70RM. While returning they make sure your transfer to mainland is noted and they will let you know.

Wifi is admittedly not great Shower is annoying as sprays all over the room. Other than that, excellent stay and charming staff
