Excellent stopover heading South
Location was lovely. Pub and food was excellent.
Room was extremely poor. TV wasn't even on the wall, just propped on the desk with no remote so couldn't change channel. Shower was ridiculous, you had to take the shower head down and bang it to get it working. The smoke alarm went off constantly after having a shower. Room was tired very depressing and for £85 was an absolute disgrace. If I had paid £30 for the night I would have felt cheated.
Excellent stay! Staff was wonderful 👍
Comfy room & cheerful staff
Shower needed attention
Staff very welcoming
Room very basic, not enough tea coffee milk etc.tv not mounted to anything just resting on a unit with no remote control, had to lift tv to acces control buttons..wall lights flickering.good job we only stayed 1 nig
Clean friendly staff good food value for money
Beautiful location by the canal. Great food
Rooms good but could do with some tlc
Very clean staff friendly great scenery and chilled
Nit picking pillows flat gave neck ache but Just sml issue
Mugs didn’t have handles so burnt my hands ,needed a socket next to bed as only socket too far away (take extension lead) needed a rubbish bin near coffee/tea
Very clean, mini fridge a nice touch
It was very close to an event we went to. Pretty area , nice pub
Accommodation was a bit outdated
Room was clean and airy. Bed comfortable. The pub gardens seating area was beautiful with a lovely play area. No breakfast supplied but small fridge in room with Orange juice, yoghurt and biscuits which were replenished daily. We had a nice dinner in the restaurant which was served hot and quickly. Not an extensive menu but enough choices if only using a couple of days. Both female staff that were working during our stay were excellent, polite, friendly, helpful and attentive.
If it is standard practice not to provide a breakfast then it would be nice if the Fridge in room was a bit bigger. But appreciated the OJ and yoghurts as were not expecting them.
Close to our venue
In need of an update especially bathroom
Nice food and good location Staff friendly Room clean and tidy
Busy main road
Quiet
Ants inside
Location and reasonable accommodation in clean condition. Staff were welcoming and helpful.
No clothes hangers, shower hose leaking and restaurant not great. Both pub and accommodation need a refresh.
Location for the F1 Room Pub Food Beer Staff All great
All good
Breakfast snack in fridge on room. Complimentary
Nothing
Great location, easy parking, lovely pub and garden overlooking canal. Accommodation more than adequate. No breakfast but yoghurt and juice in mini fridge in room.
Everything worked OK. Mugs had no handles not good for hot drinks. Some fixtures were loose I. e. Window and door locks and bathroom hook.
The location was good. Lots of space inside and outside the pub. Food was ok.
Contrary to pics it isn't possible to get down the external garden steps from the garden to the canal side. Apparently the canal side there is now private and the steps are no longer accessible. The room was ok but dated. There was a strong smell of musty damp in the room. There was no fan for temperatures around 30C.
The amazing welcome from a employee that was struggling with the intense heat , despite this she was welcoming and charming
Conveniently situated off the motorway for our journey.
No breakfast available but walked into Weeden to Granny’s Cafe
Very quaint and beautiful
Just what you need for the night
Food in pub nice and staff helpful.
Towel rail hanging off wall. Bed linen/ cushions smelly hair in bed. No breakfast available.
Great short stay
Good location
Staff were friendly and bottled water was available.
No breakfast provided. Dinner was something I could have cooked myself. The room looked more like a stable with draught coming in from under the door which was hidden by a doormat. Insufficent electrical points. The duvet was far too thin. Dirty looking with a musky smell and uncleanliness
Very basic, lock on door wobbled and as a single female traveler I think this is unacceptable, especially when you are booked in an outdoor cabin ( was unaware when booking) Very disappointed
The electric went off late afternoon, and was shown where the trip switch was if it happened again…. When it did at 5am and didn’t come on again I was offered another cabin…. Moved myself while in my pjs…. Still no electric…. Absolutely no apologies, cold shower no coffee facilities…. Absolutely appalling…. Even saw the owner turn up while I was in my car charging my phone and was totally ignored…. All before 8am…
Nice clean room, helpful staff, beautiful location
No food available for evening meal. Staff meeting
The property was basic but very nice and clean great value for the price of accommodation Lunch and dinner was excellent the staff are young and very professional The Narrowboat is a lovely restaurant and outside area is excellent Nice touch in room mini fridge containing Apple yogurt orange juice also bottled water biscuits and tea and coffee
Need to have tea / coffee cups with handles please
No fuss and private scenic location
Nothing
Location friendly staff
How the property maintenance was lacking, window handles hanging off door lock insecure, bathroom sink plug rusty, shower needed regrouting, furniture needed updating
Being outside from the main building was great with the dog.
Nothing it was all great!
Easy to find with good parking right outside your room. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Quick and easy booking in at the bar. The room was very clean and comfortable and had everything you required. A very nice touch is a small fridge with. Orange juice and yoghurts and fruit. I had a very nice meal in the restaurant in the evening.
No handles on the mugs in the room, difficult to hold when hot.
Was lovely comfy room
Lovely settings nice by the canal
The broken door at the bottom with a gap that blows a gale through!
Everything!
lovely little cabins
Very clea well equipped room, staff wry helpful and friendly
I had an excellent two day stay in The Lock accommodation. The room was neat, tidy and well provisioned. Good bathroom. The pub served excellent food and drink. I am walking along the Grdnd Union Canal towpath, so this was the prefect location. Thank you.
The road is quite noisy but not a worry.
Nice Quite warm room with Easy Control of the room Temperature
I Arrived at the property quite late & was Informed at check in that there was breakfast available in the morning, because I assumed there would be hot food available & did not arrange an alternative, it would be better if the property make it clear that the restaurant was not open for breakfast, i had to travel into Weedon 10 Min Journey to a breakfast cafe where it was difficult to park my car.
Location,clean accomodation
Location close to venue we were attending. Nice by the canal.
Could do with a small areas to improvement cracked tile to bathroom lock to front door loose. A better fridge.
Room was very clean and warm so ideal for a November visit. Plenty of parking space. Didn't eat there because family was close by but we have eaten there in the past and the food is really good.
No shower gel dispenser or hand soap dispenser
Snacks in mini bar were adequate but a full breakfast was not available, although staff did advice a great place for breakfast(Granny's Cafe) which was excellent
No big problem, but did bring to staffs attention, the Shower cut out a couple of times.
In the perfect location for us, lovely room, nice & warm, had a big family dinner in the NarrowBoat pub, staff really friendly and Jules is an excellent landlord
Room was clean and cosy. Staff friendly and helpful. Food was delicious
Would prefer cups with handles in the room.
Everything and close to Silverstone for the run fest
Everything
Love it here
Heating not good cold all night
Lovely cosy tiny fridge enclosed with yoghurt, fruit, juice. Best ever seen. Everything else is just perfect

Location ideal for our journey
Understaffed which put too much pressure on the team
The pub attached was so nice, great food, amazing staff, super friendly, the rooms were decorated nicely and had a cosy feel
Too noisy by the main road, the lock on my door was really flimsy and wobbly and made me a bit worried, also caused a breeze to whip through the room through the night. Window on the door reduced privacy so had to hang a coat there. No hand soap in my bathroom Bed was not super comfy, it was a thin metal frame and it moved away from the wall/headboard through the night
Staff very friendly
Bathroom could do with a refresh. Broken shower tray metal quite rusty in places
Room, bed, pillows, shower tea making facilities were good . The bar and pub also good with a wide choice of drinks with really friendly staff. There is is also a great choice of outdoor seating overlooking the canal which would be a great spot in warmer months.
We ate at the Narrowboat on our first night and found the food only ok, for me the broccoli and stilton soup came out a packet as it was thin, watery and tasteless, the mash I suspect was instant mash which is not good enough for the money charged.
Clean and warm with heaters on
The TV fluctuated and kept going off and on whilst we were trying to enjoy watching it whilst relaxing in bed but that was the only moan :-)
No breakfast was provided — probably our fault for not reading the details properly. The room had a tiny fridge with just an apple and a yoghurt inside. After a long drive, we were hoping to grab a sandwich or something small for lunch, but unfortunately they only served roast dinners on Sundays.
Lovely stay, great location next to pub and canal, comfy bed and very tolerant hosts
No breakfast onsite
The room had a very efficient heater. Comfy bed and good shower.
Breakfast was not on site but arrangements in the village a mile away. A fridge though had yogurt orange juice and an apple.
Location is good, on a main road but rooms are at the back so no noise issues.
Pub closes early on a Sunday, would have been nice to get a drink before bed.
Clean, good value for money, excellent staff
Clean, good value for money, excellent staff
Great location, comfy rooms, nice and quiet. Staff were excellent!
Rooms are a tiny bit tired, broken shower panel etc but nothing that caused any impact on our stay
Views
Pillows need replacing flat
Really nice place excellent for our needs
Lovely room. Great good. And the staff were great too. Enjoyed our stay.
The location - we were meeting up with family, who were on a narrowboat on the nearby canal. Our host was very welcoming, and the pub garden was lovely to be in as we were lucky enough to have good weather.
We didn't enjoy a good night's sleep because the duvet was too hot, and if we threw it off, we were too cold! As we were only staying for one night, there was nothing we could do about it, so we just took it on the chin.
Easy check in (at the pub). Comfortable accommodation. Great shower. Parking just outside the door. Great affordable food at the pub. Lovely walk along the canal on the doorstep. Very friendly staff.
Lovely pub meal Friendly helpful staff Comfortable bed
No breakfast available Tv very small
We had already eaten at other venue with friends. Breakfast was not available so eat out at Grannys Cafe down the road.very good. Room was very good .
we did not have any negatives.
Fantastic location on the canal with a lot of outside seating. Rooms are perfectly fine.
There is no breakfast served in the pub. Place was very quiet and lacked atmosphere on this occasion.
Food was excellent. Staff very helpful. Location quiet considering it is on the A5. Cool box snack breakfast a nice touch.
Room was hot as no safe small window to open for nighttime ventilation.
Great location at the back of a lovely pub. The room is a little dated but quiet, clean & has everything you need. I would stay again.
Not a lot, the furniture is a little dated & worn & the TV is tiny but overall great value.
Toffe locatie
Slecht bed
Nice chalet style accommodation in a pleasant rural pub setting overlooking the canal and fields beyond. Nice restaurant serving quality food.
A bit remote if you don't have a car and on a busy A road so quite a lot of traffic noise while in the pub garden (although not in the rooms) which is always off-putting for me. The pub itself could do with some smartening up externally but inside it's fine.
