What I appreciated most about Apna Colombo wasn't just the comfortable room or the convenient location it was how easy and stress-free the entire stay felt. After busy days exploring Colombo, coming back to a quiet and welcoming place made a real difference. The atmosphere is relaxed and homely rather than feeling like a large commercial hotel. The staff were genuinely kind and approachable, always ready to help with a smile without being intrusive. The room was clean, well-maintained, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was simply enjoying the peaceful environment while still being close enough to reach the city's main attractions. It's the kind of place that makes you feel settled quickly, whether you're staying for a few days or longer. If you're looking for a place that combines comfort, privacy, and genuine hospitality, Apna Colombo is an excellent choice. I left with a very positive impression and would happily return.

My recent stay at Apna Colombo was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the level of hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail was truly remarkable. The rooms were impeccably maintained, beautifully designed, and offered a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and elegance. Every detail from the quality of the furnishings to the cleanliness and ambiance reflected the hotel’s commitment to excellence. The atmosphere throughout the property was sophisticated yet incredibly relaxing. What stood out the most was the outstanding service. Every member of the team went above and beyond to make our experience memorable, always attentive, courteous, and genuinely caring. The dining experience was equally impressive, with exceptional cuisine, beautifully presented dishes, and excellent service. The facilities were world-class, and the overall environment made our stay both peaceful and unforgettable. It is rare to find a hotel that delivers such consistently high standards in every aspect. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a truly luxurious and refined experience. Without a doubt, one of the finest hospitality experiences I have had, and I look forward to returning again in the future.

Very hospitable staff and have accommodated all the requests.

Water pressure on level 4 is not the best

The owner was cheerful, helpful and ready to assist you if needed. ( He offered to sort the trains out for us as some were still closed due to the Cyclone).

The owner showed us a kitchen and dining area on our floor that we were welcome to use. But, every draw and cupboard was empty. Falling apart with no cutlery, plates or anything.

The maneger is look like policeman. he is not good for the business...he is like devil....he is like only foreigners. My idea is he need retire...

Manager and all the staff is friendly. Conveniently located closer to the Colombo city. Deluxe suit is very spacious and view from balcony is spectacular.

Nothing to mention

Big, spacious rooms with leafy outlook and the call of varied birds. Sri Lankan breakfast was very tasty and served in the dining room and lounge adjacent to our room. Felt like a home.

Very little to say but maybe a bit of crockery and cutlery in the kitchen could be handy. But I just asked for a knife to cut up fruit and the staff were very helpful.

The wide range of space

I really enjoyed my stay at APNA, the room was large and bright with a comfortable bed, I really appreciated having a balcony, kettle and desk with chair, and electricity sockets adapted to many types of plugs which made charging electronic devices very easy. The location is really quiet, set among a green neighbourhoo, and I was so happy to enjoy the swimming pool. Staff was reactive and friendly

Neighbourhood is really quiet so no café/food options in the immediate proximity. wifi was kinda spotty

The property lacks a little finesse and charm. The pool is not in an ideal location.

WARNING, TOURIST TRAP !!!! Dont believe positive rewievs!!! Exterior of hotel looks good, but rooms walls are COVERED of mould, most in "Luxury category" room. If you book standard category room, it is unusable because of mould on walls. Dirty and stained linen on bed. Personal dont care, no correction even after many requests. If you want escape from this disgusting place same day as booking because by all these defects room is uninhabitale for human, you can forget for money you paid, you will not get them back.

Very friendly staff and a nice quiet location out of the hub of the city but still close enough to all the essentials. Very affordable rate and very clean.

Not a dislike but lack of a fridge and safe. Especially a safe would be helpful in the room. It was also strange to not have a blanket/duvet ready on the bed. Upon request, a blanket was brought.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and despite a hiccup during check-in where my booked room was full, they swiftly upgraded me for a reasonable extra charge of 250lkr. The spacious and impeccably clean room, complete with a small balcony for enjoying a nice beer, was a highlight, and the tranquility added to the overall appeal. The staff was decent, and I particularly enjoyed Sri Lankan string hoppers at a reasonable price.

However, there were some notable omissions in the room, including the absence of shampoo, shower gel, and no tea/coffee making facility. Additionally, the room lacked a dustbin and a bathmat, which I found surprising and hope they address for future guests. Despite these shortcomings, the overall experience was positive, and I trust the hotel will consider adding these essential amenities for guests' convenience.

I am writing to express my utmost disappointment and frustration with my recent stay at your hotel. It is with regret that I have to provide a negative review, but I feel compelled to share my experience so that improvements can be made for future guests. First and foremost, upon entering the room, I was immediately appalled by the condition of the bathroom. It was far from clean, with visible dirt and grime on the surfaces. This lack of cleanliness is completely unacceptable and greatly impacted my overall comfort during my stay. To my surprise, there were no basic amenities such as body wash or lotion provided in the bathroom. These essentials are standard in most hotels and their absence left me feeling neglected as a guest. It is disheartening to see such a lack of attention to detail and consideration for guest needs. Furthermore, the welcome I received upon arrival was far from pleasant. The staff seemed disinterested and unfriendly, failing to provide the warm and hospitable greeting one would expect from a reputable establishment. This initial encounter set a negative tone for the entire duration of my stay. The air conditioning in the room was another source of disappointment. Despite adjusting the settings, the air conditioning was not sufficient to adequately cool the room. This made for an uncomfortable and restless night, further diminishing the quality of my stay. Additionally, I must highlight the lack of cleanliness and maintenance in the common areas of the hotel. The absence of doormats resulted in dirty footprints throughout the premises, which not only looked unappealing but also posed a potential safety hazard. Furthermore, the condition of the lift was deplorable, with noticeable dirt and grime covering its interior. As a paying guest, I expected a certain level of cleanliness, comfort, and service, all of which were severely lacking during my stay at your hotel. I believe it is crucial for you, as the management, to address these issues

Breakfast was good. Service was prompt. Location is quite and pleasant. Good place for companies for over night stay.

The location was convinient.

When I went in to make the payment the manager on duty offered me an upgrade (without me even requesting it) and when I made the payment. provided me a receipt for a few thousand rupees less. When I asked for a receipt with the correct amount he provided one and said that I will no longer be getting a room upgrade! There was also construction happening so the pool was unusable. I was not told about the construction at the time of booking.
