leuke B&B, met veel details, ruim ontbijt en dicht bij centrum

2 nachten maar na 1-ste nacht geen schone handdoeken, geen schone kopjes, kamer was niet bezocht. Let op: bij booking.com is het adres in Kent, maar dat moet Catebury zijn, wij stonden 25 minuten verder in Kent aan het zelfde adres.

Mooie grote kamer aan de voorkant,maar geen last van buitengeluiden. Prima ontbijt. Vriendelijke gastvrouw. Centrum op redelijke loopafstand. Goede gratis parkeerplaats.

Eerste nacht geluidsoverlast van bovenburen. Erg gehorig. Andere 2 nachten geen bovenburen gehad.

Die Lage war gut, kurze Wege zum Zentrum, großes Zimmer mit bequemen Betten. Freundliche Inhaberin.Top

Abgelaufene Produkte beim Frühstück, keine Normalen Cornflakes, abgepackte Marmelade, welche absolut geschmacklos war.

Stayed two nights . Second night on our return someone had been in and put a fresh bath mat in but the room had not been refreshed. The tea coffee etc not replenished or fresh cups placed.

De eigenares is ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam.we hadden een hele ruime kamer aan de achterkant. Erg rustig en voorzien van alle comfort. De B&B ligt op 10 minuutjes wandelen van het oude centrum en het station. Een lekker en uitgebreid ontbijt is mee voorzien. Met maar een 5-tal kamers is het ook erg rustig.

Die Unterkunft war einfach zu finden. Es bestanden ausreichende Parkplätze. Wir wurden äußerst freundlich empfangen. Die Zimmer entsprachen genau denen, wie sie abgebildet waren. Super war, das es mehrere USB Anschlüsse im Zimmer gab, daher konnten immer das Handy und andere Geräte geladen werden. Die Zimmer lagen zum Garten hinten raus, daher konnten wir Nachts bei offenen Fenstern schlafen. Die Bäder waren top modern. Das Frühstück war einmalig. Alles da, und wie überall AI engl. Frühstück. Da wurde man so richtig satt, frisches Obst, Müsli, Honig usw. alles da. Der Fussweg in die City waren ca. 10 min. Man konnte aber auch mit dem Bus fahren, welcher direkt vor der Unterkunft abfuhr. Ein Supermarkt war auch gleich um die Ecke. Preis-/ Leistung stimmte hier. Also es war eine sehr sehr schöne Zeit. Danke nochmals an die Vermieterin und Köchin.

Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt, leider war mir die Bettwäsche etwas steif. Bin von zuhause so richtig kuschelige gewöhnt. Auch wenn es nur eine Bettdecke gab, sie war so groß, dass wir beide genug davon hatten...

Location was in easy walking distance of town centre and other attractions. Good hearty breakfast. Extra luggage rack in the room. Comfortable bed.

On the first evening there was no one available on site for nearly 2 hours. No apology was given, we were told, simply that they tend not to be on site in the evenings. We were perturbed by this. Rooms are not cleaned every day. This is policy. When we queried why this is not made clear on the website, we were told it has not been updated. There was a failure to even refresh tea and coffee making facilities. When we asked for an extra bottle of water, we were told that there were none in stock and that we would have to wait until the next day. As the room was not cleaned or even refreshed we had to ask again for water the following day. We were given a couple of bottles but told 'The tap water in the bathroom is fine to drink you know.' Again, no apology was offered. On the day our room was due to be cleaned, as we had planned to go out much later that morning, we decided to go down and sit in the breakfast room. There was a nice seating area with armchairs at the back of the room. The Owner did not allow this. She said that it needed cleaning and that it would be locked. We asked if there was any where else we could sit. She said, no. On the final day, our breakfast order was not even taken. We were simply given cooked breakfasts. Please bear in mind that we chose not to have a cooked breakfast every day. Both of us got scrambled eggs, i.e. we weren't even asked what sort of eggs we wanted let alone any of the accompaniments. The hash brown on my husband's plate was, quite obviously, very burnt. My husband pointed this out and asked for it to be taken away. Once more, no apology was offered let alone an offer to replace it. Interaction with the Owner in between these events was perfectly polite and pleasant. This is what made the Owner's failure to acknowledge the shortcomings quite worrying. Despite these unacceptable shortcomings, we remained polite throughout.

Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely host. The room was beautiful, with a gift of chocolates and a bottle of water, which were very much appreciated, as well as tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. An excellent breakfast too. Thank you

This place exceeded our expectations in every way. The owner was ultra helpful, the room (with four poster bed) was very clean, breakfast was excellent and the location ideal, just a 15 invite to the City centre. Would thoroughly recommend.

Breakfast options are very good - “full English” could not be better. Marmalade though, was a waste of time: difficult to open & finally: not worth the effort: thin & tasteless - just have toast & butter.

Such a charming and lovely stay. Lisa was a wonderful host and made sure we weren’t missing a thing. Breakfast was incredible as well, and we were within walking distance of city centre. We couldn’t have asked for more!

Het onthaal was zeer hartelijk en het verblijf was fantastisch. Lisa zorgde ervoor dat we ons meteen thuis voelden. Het ontbijt was heerlijk en prachtig versierd voor de kerstdagen. Nogmaals bedankt, Lisa.

Host was so kind and caring. Did everything she could to make the stay a comfortable one. Walkable distance to the centre. Free parking and we were about to park for a few hours before checking in. Everything clean. Really good contact by email.

We liked our two night stay. An observation: the water pressure is quite weak for the shower. (Room 10)

Great location, 10-15 mins walk to centre. Plenty of parking, comfortable rooms and a lovely host. I’ve stayed in Canterbury several times over the last couple of years. This is the best to date. Don’t think I will look much further for my next stay.

Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt und unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Einrichtung insbesondere des Bades ist sehr besonders. Das Frühstück und war sehr gut. Lisa ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist perfekt, um zu Fuß die Altstadt mit ihren Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erkunden oder am Great Stour die Natur zu genießen. Danke für den tollen Service und die netten Gespräche.

Well appointed, comfortable, large sized room a few minutes walk from the city centre. Characterful decoration choices adds a bit of interest and distinguishes Cantebury Lodge from the bland big chains, but without being over the top. Hot breakfasts are well cooked and a generous size with a good selection of other options to go with it. Lisa is a friendly hostess, who will definately make sure your morning coffee cup doesn't run dry. Would recommend.

Firstly, we must say what a fabulous host Lisa was. Nothing was to much for her. Very pleasant lady. Our room was No7, which had a 4 poster bed, and was very comfortable. Massive TV.( if you wanted to use it!) Loverly,comfortable furniture. The bathroom was excellent. Breakfast, set us up for the day. Full English, a must.

Our room was extremely spacious and we felt comfortable, which was important since we were staying 9 nights. Breakfast was served in a very pretty, well-decorated room and we could modifiée our menu whenever we wished. It was varied, there was toast and fresh fruit, excellent yoghurt and the cooked part was fine. All this kept us fit to enjoy walking during the day. Our hostess was very friendly and was able to respond to our requests very quickly and easily. The house was well located and the parking was free.

The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Tea & coffee supplied and we even had slippers and dressing gowns. The bed was really good too. Breakfast was excellent, you choose what you want and there’s plenty of choice and as much tea and toast as you can eat. You just need to choose a time and make sure you’re hungry. Lovely food, really friendly host, nothing was too much trouble. We highly recommend staying there, it’s a great location too.

Great stay, The owner was a lovely lady, extremely welcoming and spent time to chat with us and advise us about places to visit during our time in Canterbury. The room was massive, very clean and pretty plush. The location was great, about 15 mins walk to the main High Street.

Stayed here for 2 nights for sightseeing in the area. 10 min walk to the city centre so convenient. Lovely B&B, our room was great, clean and well appointed with little extra touches like the sweets and biscuits. Lisa our host couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Wouldn't hesitate recommending a stay here.

Walking distance to town. Free parking onsite. Warm welcome by our host and shown to our lovely room. Huge, bright, spotlessly clean and comfortable room with big bathroom with his and hers sinks, great shower and all the toiletries you could need. Super comfortable bed and nicely furnished. Great freshly cooked breakfast and host waited on us hand and foot! Really loved the personal touch to the place and our stay.

It’s hard to find fault with this lovely b&b. Room was immaculate and comfortable with some lovely little touches. Our host was so welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was substantial and delicious. We were able to both park on site and charge our car. Location was quiet and a 15 minute walk into the city with some lovely restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend- thank you for a lovely stay.

Beautifully furnished and quiet, very spacious room. Lisa is a consummate host and went to loads of trouble decorating the breakfast room to celebrate Easter. The breakfasts are fantastic too. There were only two small downsides: there is an electric charge point for EV's, but it obviously isn't used much and Lisa wasn't sure how to make it work. We managed about an hour's charge and had to go and find a charging point in town and sit in the car while that happened. It would have been perfect if this could have happened while the car was parked at the B&B. Secondly, it helps if you are an early riser. Last call for breakfast was 8:45am which is a bit early for us on holiday especially as the clocks went forward the first night of our stay. Other than this it is a great place to stay and a hand walk into Canterbury.
