Both our room and the common areas were pretty and well-designed. We appreciated small touches like two fresh apples each day in the room, as.well as Jorge's expert advice on hiking and places to visit.

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026Casa a pie de la Virgen de Covadonga, se llega andando en un paseito muy agradable. Se ve la Basílica desde la casa. Al estar tan cerca tienes el sitio de parking asegurado y no tienes que ir lejos a aparcar. Los dueños Jorge y Pino muy amables. Nos recomendaron sitios para visitar y comer y fueron un total acierto, así como confirmarnos el tiempo que hacía en los Lagos para subir. La habitación espaciosa y muy chula al tener una de las camas en el altillo. El desayuno como si estuvieras en tu casa, muy variado y rico. Totalmente recomendable.

Gedurende de avond geen eigenaar of personeel gezien. Was fijn geweest om een drankje te nuttigen. Douchen in het bad.

Reviewed Aug 27, 2026Es un lugar maravilloso, muy bien ubicado. Muy limpio, amplio, tranquilo. Muy buen desayuno. Es un lugar para repetir. Y sobre todo no hay palabras para agradecer a Pino y a Jorge la ayuda, es como estar en familia, te aconsejan sobre rutas, que actividades hacer, son más que una oficina de turismo porque se basan en su experiencia. Nos hemos sentido como en casa, pero de vacaciones. Gracias Pino y Jorge, sois encantadores.

La habitaciones son muy acogedoras y estupenda Tiene sitio para poder aparcar

Reviewed Aug 4, 2026La casa es muy bonita, bien cuidada y tiene una ubicación fantástica, por las noches el silencio es absoluto. Está ubicada a 5 minutos caminando de la parada de los buses a los Lagos. Hay varios restaurantes alrededor donde también se puede llegar caminando. El desayuno está bien, aparte de la típica tostada también se puede pedir un huevo frito por persona :)
La señora fui muy simpática, pero al señor por alguna razón le caímos mal desde el principio, hasta un punto de sentirnos incómodos. Mas amables fuimos con el, menos nos quería :D

También desde mi ventana, el río, la bonita vegetación y el sendero que sube directamente al santuario. Hemos estado súper bien y el personal muy amables y atentos.

Reviewed Jul 15, 2026Really pretty garden where you can sit that is right by the walking path to the church. Staff is quirky, but very nice and accommodating. Cosy and easy to park. Note that there are no dinner options in the house, but there's a restaurant 5 min drive away that is good.

No tiene aire acondicionado ni ventilador. Tuvimos que comprar un ventilador porque una de las camas está en un altillo y aún con la ventana abierta ahí arriba era asfixiante.

Reviewed Jun 26, 2026Casa Asprón is a delightful and charming property. The owners are very sweet and take great care of guests. It is that personal touch that sets the property apart from others. The location is peaceful, despite the proximity of the road, and the breakfast terrace is an oasis of calm. Breakfast, by the way, is very good and filling. The rooms are on the smaller side but well-appointed and kept clean. Fresh apples were left for us every day. WiFi is fast and there is plenty of overnight parking nearby. It is also an easy walk to the bus stops for the Lagos.
Nothing to complain about here! Well, maybe the guys with the chainsaws at 7am! Mountain life.

The host is lovely and always open for a small chat, and especially he is not shy to give out a lot of recommendations which helped us a lot! Despite not having an AC (and above 30° during most of the day), the room stayed pretty cool and we slept amazingly!

Reviewed Jun 21, 2026This was one of our favorite lodgings of our trip. It is a wonderful accommodation with a garden outside and a lovely breakfast and sitting room with tasteful decor. The location was great, close to Covadonga Lakes and Cangas de Onis for restaurants. We could see the Basilica de Santa Maria out our bedroom window and it was close enough to walk on a lovely pathway up to the sanctuary. The bus stop to Covadonga Lakes was a ten minute walk. We had the needed reservations for the bus in advance. The host was very friendly and gave very helpful information about the area and hikes at the lakes. He served an amazing and very generous breakfast, including fried eggs, breads, cheeses, meats, yogurt, cakes, freshly squeezed orange juice, and coffee. We would highly recommend this accommodation!

Reviewed Jun 2, 2026El paraje es precioso, a un paso de la basilica, cueva, taxis a los lagos, tambien cerca de Cangas, el desayuno bueno, el anfitrion, nos dio buenas informaciones, habitacion vistas a la basilica en lo alto, y con el sonido del rio de fondo.Hay un jardin y un aparcamiento delante. El precio mas que justo.
Solo la insonorizacion interna, pero como siempre depende de la educacion y horarios de los otros y la tuya, todos eramos civilizados y se durmio bien de 24 a 8 horas.

Reviewed May 28, 2026Heel pittoresk, gezellig en charmant. Achter het huis bevindt zich een wegje dat je kan volgen om makkelijk in het dorp en bij de kathedraal te komen. Covadonga is een bedevaartsoord, met mooie grot. Vriendelijke gastheer, vers appelsiensap bij het ontbijt!
De kamer van 3 personen is erg klein. Een derde bed ligt op een mezzanine onder het dak. Erg warm ook.

Breakfast was Spanish in style, well presented and I thought good and sufficient, eggs available if required. Hotel situated within walking distance of all to be seen at Covadonga. I parked easily in small parking area adjacent to the hotel but parking may be more difficult in busier times

Reviewed May 10, 2026Pasamos allí el fin de semana, empezamos con un desayuno muy completo y casero, la amabilidad de los dueños un 10. Pitu, la dueña, nos hizo un mapa con todas las indicaciones para pasar un día estupendo en los alrededores y también nos hizo una ruta por la costa para la vuelta hacía casa. Es de lejos el mejor establecimiento en el que hemos estado alojados jamás.
