c'est vraiment un tout petit détail: quand on va à sa douche c'est un peu l'acrobatie pour poser ses affaires car il n'y a pas de tablette ou tabouret

Reviewed Sep 5, 2026Super Lage, mitten in der Stadt, unmittelbar an der Bushaltestelle vom Bahnhof. Sehr professioneller Check-in, wie in einem fünf Sterne Hotel. Sehr schön eingerichtet mit liebe zum Detail. Kleines Frühstück inklusive. Alles wunderbar. Mit Abstand das beste Hostel was ich kenne in Deutschland.
Die Matratze war total durchgelegen. unbequem, furchtbar, ich konnte nur auf dem Rücken schlafen, wie in einer Hängematte.

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026The stay at Lotte-The Backpackers was excellent. Ms. Carmen is a wonderful host and tried to see the comforts of her guests with utmost sincerity. The most noted aspect of Lotte is that Ms. Carmen is giving milk and cereals without any extra cost and one can have it any time. The place is very cozy and I loved the decors with an artistic touch everywhere. The location is excellent close to restaurants and shopping areas. Lotte is in the old city of Heidelberg and one can just walk to all important places around. The property also has smooth connectivity to other places in Heidelberg. The place was recommended to me by one of my co-workers who stayed at this property an year ago. Definitely, I will also recommend Lotte to my relatives and friends. Thank you Ms. Carmen for the wonderful place!!! Best regards-NK

Reviewed Aug 26, 2026Das Hostel hat wirklich eine tolle Lage, die Atmosphäre ist super entspannt und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die Gemeinschaftsbäder und Küche waren super sauber. Die Betten waren sehr bequem.
Da unser Zimmer gegenüber einen Parkhauses bzw. in Richtung einer kleinen Gasse lag, haben die Geräusche von draußen sehr gehallt.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026Все, навіть не сподівалася на сервіс та увагу до деталей у хостелі, тим паче в Німеччині, маючи багато попереднього досвіду. Але хостел приємно вразив. Врахували прохання щодо ліжка, також система зрозуміла для пізнього заїзду. У жіночій ванній навіть є заколки з якими зручно приймати душ або сушити волосся, раптом ви забули свої і вже підписано, що безкоштовно, користуйтесь. Також є пластівці та кава. Взагалі прекрасно вивчалася, як вже давно не спала. А локація прямо під замком в самому центрі старого міста.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2026Unfassbar nettes Personal und die Lage hätte nicht besser sein können. Ausstattung war mehr als erwartet und alles war sauber. Ich hab mich in dem Hostel super super wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Ich bin mit meinen Hausschuhen durchs Haus gelaufen, als würd ich bei Oma zu Besuch sein, daran hat mich zumindest das gemütliche Wohnzimmer erinnert.

Le seul bémol de tout le séjour, c'est l'absence d'un rideau pour les lits de dortoir. Pourtant il y a bien un rail d'installé. Peut-être que ça ne concernait que mon dortoir. Un léger manque d'intimité, mais bon c'est un détail.

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026Total nettes Hostel. Die Einrichtung ist sehr schön, ca 70er Jahre Stil 😊. Wir lieben das. Es ist einzigartig. Außerdem war es sehr sauber. Auch unter der Kommode.( Mir ist ein Schmuckstück runter gefallen). Des weitern gab es leckeren Kaffee und Müsli zur freien Verfügung. Das Personal an der Rezeption und auch Reinigung sind sehr nett und freundlich. Die Zimmer sind sehr gut verteilt. Bad/Toilette bequem von der Größe und genügend zur Verfügung sowie sauber. Es ist deutlich, dass auf Sauberkeit wert gelegt wird.
Von der Straße her kann es etwas laut sein. Es gibt manchmal laute Passanten. Es gibt keinen Aufzug.

Reviewed Jul 16, 2026I had a wonderful stay here. The hostel felt incredibly warm and welcoming, more like staying in a cozy home than in a hostel. The common area was comfortable and inviting, making it easy to relax and naturally connect with other travelers. Everything was very clean, and the atmosphere had a calm, pleasant feeling that made me want to spend more time there. During my travels, I am usually out exploring all day and rarely stay in the hostel, but this was one of the very few places that actually made me want to slow down and enjoy being there. The location was also excellent, within walking distance of both Heidelberg Castle and the city center. I would definitely stay here again.

Reviewed Jul 14, 2026Naprosto pohodový pobyt v útulném, s láskou řízeném rodinném penzionu / hostelu. Vše dýchá čistotou a vše je tak "obyčejné", že se člověk tu hned cítí jako doma. A tolik úsměvů, co rozdaly ty dvě laskavé dámy v recepci, nepotkáš kolikrát ani doma :-) Celé město Heidelberg mělo velmi příjemnou, až nečekaně "mediteranskou" atmosféru, určitě bych se chtěla někdy sem vrátit a lépe se s nim seznámit (anebo zase jen tak pokochat).
Že celá má návštěva trvala pouze jednu noc.

The building is lovely and has a nice patio and great communal facilities including kitchen and sitting room. The staff go above and beyond and everything was very clean. It was amazing!

Wij zijn gaan reizen in de hittegolf periode, er waren alleen kleine fans op een tafeltjes gezet. Overdag stonden de ramen wel open, maar snachts was het erg pittig om te slapen in de hitte.

1 tafel ventilator...klein...voor 5 man in kamer...niet kunnen slapen door hitte. Personeel aangesproken...sorry...sorry Je kunt natuurlijk ventilatoren kopen! Ja ja Maar nee doen. Huiskamer stond er ook 1...daar willenneten ..weg...??? Ja moest naar een kamer waar niks stond en gasten kwamen. Geen 9.5 waard....ga er nooit meer blind op vertrouwen.
