Location is superb and our room overlooking the lake was in an ideal position. Decor and furnishings are modern and tasteful, staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast and dinner were delicious - all in all a memorable stay and wish it had been longer

Das im Jahr 2017 renovierte Hotel besticht durch seine einmalige Lage, durch einen hervorragenden Zustand, eine sehr geschmackvolle, gepflegte und saubere Einrichtung, durch ein freundliches, hilfsbereites und engagiertes Personal sowie durch eine äußerst schmackhafte Küche, einschließlich eines sehr guten Frühstücks. Ich würde jederzeit wieder dieses tolle Haus besuchen.

Die Lage direkt auf der Grimsel ist sehr schön. Das Hotel und die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll mit Holz und Stein gehalten. Die Duschwanne ist allerdings sehr rutschig und nur einseitig mit Glas abgetrennt. Duschen ohne nebenaus zu spritzen schwierig. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und die Bedienung freundlich.

Aufenthalt war vollauf zufriedenstellend, sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel

Zeer net hotel met mooie kamers en badkamers. Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Goed ontbijt en goed diner. Bijzondere omgeving met mooie wandelmogelijkheden. Niet het goedkoopste hotel, maar de prijs zeker waard.

Wunderschön gelegen direkt am see.habe mir schon lange gwünscht mal hier zu übernachten und der sonne beim aufgehen zuschauen zu können.es war einfach grandios. Superschöne zimmer,frühstück sehr feine auswahl.freundliches personal.rundum super zufrieden.

High quality of everything. The building is unassuming from the outside but modern and clean inside - adapted to local style with stone and wood. Excellent service. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. Very good food. Breakfast selection somewhat limited but with a huge choice of fresh local bread and all kinds of jams and spreads. Plenty pf parking space. Not much traffic in the night, so very quiet despite location right on the road.

Nice modern hotel with good food and friendly staff

Been here regularly for the last few years and love the location and the hotel, prices have gone up since first visit but didn’t mind as the hotel is fantastic. This time however the food was a real disappointment. Having thoroughly enjoyed the food there in the past this was a real shame as you don’t have many options nearby either. I would have given feedback at the property but was not asked. I think I’ll book elsewhere in the future sadly.

We originally wanted to the top of the pass. The hotel is clean and modern inside and the staff super friendly and helpful. We would recommend this to anyone and will definitely stay here again if we ar in the area.

Le seul hic que je pourrai trouver(et ce n’est pas un point péjoratif vis-à-vis d’eux), c’est qu’ils ne parlent pas le français malgré qu’ils ont la carte en français. J’ai quand même passé 2 très bonne nuit

Rooms are nicely done and the location is stunning on a clear day. However it seems to be lacking in attention to details and has a pest problem. I encountered afew issues; had a double bed but only proved with a single duvet, the room had two light bulbs not working and the restaurant has an issue with flies. During evening meal I found myself constantly fighting off large flies from landing on the table or myself, looking around I wasn't the only one. Also when i went for the breakfast buffet the food was covered in flies, yet the nearby staff made no effort to protect the food or try and deal with the problem. Hotel has so much potential but for this was disappointing

Schönes, komplett neu renoviertes Hotel auf der Grimsel Passhöhe, direkt an der Strasse, jedoch in der Nacht kein Problem. Sehr moderne und konfortable Zimmer, gutes Restaurant mit guter Menu Auswahl und leckerem Frühstück. Sehr aufgestelltes Personal - wir kommen gerne wieder!

Neben geschmackvoller Ausstattung und guter Gastronomie das professionelle und freundliche Personal geführt von einer zuvorkommenden und motivierten Chefin!

Hôtel agréable dans un style alpin Situation exceptionnelle par le site au bord d’un lac et avec un panorama de montagnes au col de Grimsel Pensez à demander une chambre avec vue sur le lac... sinon vue sur la route et le parking, dommage !

Étape au Grimsel lors d’une randonnée moto et tout était parfait, l’endroit,l’hotel refait à neuf, l’accueil et le service. Très bonne cuisine

Le personnel est très sympathique, Chambre spacieuse, Petit déjeuner très bon Restaurant très bon également (mais pas trop de choix à proximité pour aller manger ailleurs) Pas d'ascenseur Le temps très très couvert ne nous a pas permit de profiter de la vue et des environs...le peu qu'on en a vu semblait très agréable!! (le terrasse pour le diner et surtout le petit déjeuner semble incroyable)

A renovated hotel, located in an amazing area on earth. Pure nature. The service is excellent, the place is clean. The only thing was that we didnt know the rooms we reserved had only a very large bed in it. Its a room for 6 persons, in one long, big bed and absolutely nothing else in the room- no closet, no shelf, no fridge and not even a small lamp for the dark nights. We don’t regret at all, and it was a unique experience with the kids, but just a few more items- it would make a great difference. Amazing place!

Amazing hotel in a great location. Very friendly stuff and out of this world breakfast. I would stay here one more time just to eat their breakfast :)

Schweiz ist es!

We booked a room in the annex which for me means a bit simpler and smaller to a better price. The reality was that it was a construction zone with wires hanging from the wall, no fire alarms and no heating. Completely terrible stay and nothing remotely like the pictures. When confronted to see if we could switch room they said that they don't care about the fire alarms and the condition of the room is not finalized but "they had a rough winter" and needed to rent them out and no option for another room. They offered to cancel it for free which would mean me and the family would sleep in the car in close to minus degrees since we arrived in the evening and no chance to search for a proper place. In the morning we woke with the sunrise since they hadn't put in curtains of any kind. After the morning shower we got to dry ourselves with wet towles from the day before since of course the towel drier didn't work/wasn't connected and the room temperature, ~15 degrees celsius, wasn't enough to dry them. When paying we pointed out our disappointment again and they offered a cheap souvenir pocket knife from the counter as compensation somehow thinking we would like to remember this stay....

Fantastic Hotel! Staff was amazing, warm, and friendly. Every morning during our stay there we woke up to views of large sheets glaciers floating in the middle of the glacial lake outside our window. Great hiking around the mountains near the hotel. A truly unique experience.

What a gem. What a renovation. What a view! Highly recommended.
