Provider-sourced guest reviews.
This is now the 5th different hotel I have stayed in across from the pyramids. This will be the only one I stay in from here on out! The staff was great and the rooms were clean and they didn’t try to up sale me on anything.
I have taken 7 different groups to Cairo and have stayed in 4 different hotels across from the Pyramids. I have found my favorite! Wont look anywhere else when I bring teams back. The staff is excellent and NOT pushy! We arrived at 4am and there were workers there to happily get our bags to our rooms.
This review is a mixed review I will explain reservations via hotels.com went great arrival and check in went great as well . Reception greets you well and treats you nice but as soon as you get there their object is to sale you tours. Their prices are a bit higher than the ones you can find on Viator app which I also recommend . Anyways we had our tours already reserved and did not buy anything from them . We also requested to add dates to our stay at our hotel they said yes it will be ok but came back with a price of 250 a night when we booked it was only 112 and they where not offering the same room which we had a view to the pyramids they wanted to give another room with no view at a higher price. Well we decided to look at hotels .com once more and saw they had the same room and the additional dates available for the same price so we booked it online once more . The following day we went on our tour and when we came back at the lobby we started talking about our day I sent my kids up to the room and wife and I stayed to tell them the we had made the bookings online and not direct to them they asked to make sure we picked the same room because they had the room booked already but we stated tha it was the same room . Ok we will check they said. By the time I got upstairs they had cancelled my reservation and made all other rooms unavailable to book only what they wanted now this booking was made with over 30 hours of difference from the time we told them . Mafia tactic
No airport transfer as advertised. And surprise room, with no window, and only one double bed to share with my twenty year old son. Otherwise, good service and loads for food.
Staff friendly but room are very smelly. And not quite comfortable
Outstanding service and great staffs, awesome views and great food. I will definitely go back
Booked and fully paid for a 1 night stay at this property months for a family of 2 adults and 2 children, 7 and 4 years old. Paid for the top room they have with a pyramid view and 4 double beds, the luxury suite, as we had 3 birthdays out there. As we arrived to the hotel after a morning at the pyramids, sphinx and other bits we were told they had given our booked room to someone else as they had wanted a longer booking than what we had booked for. Offered us a room with a 1 double bed or a room with no windows as a substitute, absolutely no where near what we booked or big enough. All of this after a 6am flight from Hurghada and 2 young children. They were not interested in trying to rectify the situation and just offered to drop us at our follwing days trip to the Grand Museum for free, saving us about £2 insteaf of an Uber. Lost out on the tickets we paid for the follwing day at the museum as we had to fly back the same night. AVOID. THEY DO NOT GUARANTEE YOUR BOOKING AND EVEN ADMITTED THEY DO THIS IF SOMEONE WITH A LONGER BOOKING REQUESTS THE ROOM. They should be ashamed doing this to a family with kids.
Room was terrible and did not match the property photos. Luckily the rooftop restaurant was decent with impeccable view and service! Would not recommend this hotel.
We truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The terrace view was breath taking, especially when the sun was setting behind the pyramids! I’m definitely happy we stayed in Giza, and not in Cairo, which is way too busy for me. You are much closer to sights from there. As far as the hotel goes, breakfast was absolutely amazing. The amount of food we got was insane and really yummy. The room was ok. We are a family of 5 so when we got a room with no windows (!) I was a little bummed out but didn’t feel like I could ask for a different room, maybe I could have. The staff was very nice and welcoming! The bathroom (sink and shower) leaked, so there was water all over ….. but we saw an other room that didn’t seem to have that issue, so it might have just been our room. Either way, I think issues like that are somewhat normal there, so no big deal for us. We’d go back again mostly because it was so convenient, calm, the evening view amazing and the staff was all very nice!
Perfect location directly across from pyramids, fantastic service and an amazing breakfast from the best rooftop situation ever! Wow!
Isha(spelling might not be right) and all the other staff are very friendly. Wonderful location and with stunning pyramid views.
They treat you like royalty. The bedas are comfy and the pillows are great. Food is amazing and the views is awesome. The staff is exceptional your every need attended to. Even if you were unaware of the need. Rooms are clean and inviting. The free coffee and tea just add to your pleasure.
Property was at great location, specially at sun set do not miss the roof top pyramid view. Fateh was great and he deserves a shout out for his great service and hospitality. If you are looking for something near pyramids then this is your hotel but if you are looking to stay longer then I wouldn’t as the property needs renovation. Thanks again for making our stay memorable.
We loved our pyramid view it's literally just steps from the pyramid entrance. The staff was excellent and food was amazing. We had issue with our room and they were very kind enough to move us to Shadow pyramids hotel which was also amazing. Mazen and Shahinda and other stuff were great made us feel better welcomed.
I was not sure about staying here due to some bad reviews. It turns out that once you are in, there is no way to go wrong. The location couldn’t be better. Right in front of the sphinx. You are accompanied by the 3 pyramids, 24 hours a day, get to watch The “light and sound” show, almost daily. Of course it comes with the disadvantages when you don’t want it. The food are excellent! The staff are warm, friendly, and extremely helpful especially Mohammad (Tuffy), Ahmad, and Mazen. It is so very uplifting to know that young person like Tuffy who studied medicine in England is here and will continue his education when he earns enough fundings. Clearly, Egypt is going throug tough time, (garbage everywhere) but with these wonderful young people, they will rebuild their country. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. very much.
The hotel with the pyramids view and free breakfast
Everyone was excellent
I wanna give a huge shout out to Abdullah at the front desk and Mahmoud both were very great to me and my family. Loved staying here and enjoyed their breakfasts and their hospitality ... great job guys keep up the good work!!
My experience was totally different from the reviews that I saw in multiple traveling platforms. The receptionist was kind and we got the room I booked in Hotels.com. I could see 3 Pyramids and Sphinx directly in the room. The rooftop offered a better view and nearly no blockes in front of my eyes. Before checking in, I worried a lot what if no room available. Some people said in their reviews that they waited for a long while till their rooms got ready, and some were even arranged to another building. Almost all inns near this one were reviewed something like this. I personally would like to stay a bit farther after seeing all of those. My girlfriend prefered a direct, near, and good pyramids view. I had to prepare a backup then. Fortunately, that didn't have to be used. After check out, we received a bunch of postcards and two pieces of decorations of profile from the hotel. What a hospitality! We were also introduced with several traveling activities such as camel riding when checking in. There was no problem though we didn't choose any but staying in the hotel, and no tipping was obviously required there. The cleanness was adequate. Decorations was so so considering the price, but the view and distance is quite good. Then the price was acceptable.
Good for one night stay if nothing else is available in the area
We booked a Luxury Suite room but when we reached the hotel we were told that the particular room was already booked and someone was occupying it already. They gave me a downgraded room without any compensation. When I questioned about how double booking is possible for one room, they said it's a mistake by the website which I definitely don't agree with. If it was overbooked they had all the possibility to cancel it well in advance as I had booked a month ago. Looking at the earlier reviews I just noticed that this hotel has scammed many other guests in the same way. So I strongly suggest you to stay out of this hotel. I'm also making an effort to delist this hotel from Hotels.com.
Don't bother. View is good yes. But.. Ordered chips, houmous and bread. We got hot dog bread, babaganoush and chips fried in petrol , 40 minutes later. The guy even tried to tell us that houmous is same as babaganoush (eggplant). Just go somewhere else altogether
This hotel ruined my cairo honeymoon. Booked and paid for the luxury suite months in advance. 3 night stay. Arrived after a long day of travel and touring and my room was "unavailable". They made me pay for the transfer from the airport which they previously told me it was covered due to staying 3 nights. 700 EGP Given free dinner as an apology and a guarantee my room would be ready in the morning. Room was so tiny there wasn't even enough room to pass through with a suitcase. Told to pack up all our things and the staff would move them while we were out on our tour. I found the email where they told me they would cover the transfer and got my money back. Dinner took almost 90 min after we ordered. Arrived back exhausted after another day of touring to the same apologies about the room Told it was expedias fault. Not true. Given a room in the hotel next door, still not as nice as what I had booked but slightly bigger. However it was under construction which started early in the morning. Power went out, constant banging etc etc That hotel then told me we had to leave as the room was booked, offered the same closet back at the panorama again. No apologies, nothing. Called expedia, got a refund and moved to yet another hotel. So my honeymoon was spent packing and moving around, arguing with staff that didn't care and not enjoying the view from the balcony that I had booked and planned for. In short, there's a ton of hotels with views, avoid this one
Good place to stay
shower was broken, room was very small. not cleaned properly
We are a family of 6 and 4 of them are kids under the age of 5. We booked the room that fitted 8 so we would be comfortable. As soon as they gave us our room they gave us 2 rooms both that where not even connected, one was across the hall. We spoke to them multiple times we can’t be separated and they said because our booking only said we had 3 kids they had to move us. I didn’t know our infant of one year counted as an adult. We tried to pay for her as an adult in the front desk but they wouldn’t let us and just kept saying that’s all they can do. We payed extra for the suite but ended up in the smallest room for they same price as the most expensive. Didn’t even offer a refund or try to fix it. Only chose this property for the pyramid view and balcony. Got a windowless room and one with a tiny window.
My experience at this hotel can only be described as an unmitigated disaster. Right from the start, things spiraled downhill. Despite confirming an early check-in, I was told on arrival it wasn’t possible and was forced to book an additional night in a disgracefully dirty room. The toiletries? Used. The bedding? Questionably stained. Having been promised a room move by noon the next day, the goalposts kept shifting. First, it was 3pm. Then, they had the audacity to suggest we might remain in that same dismal room, a far cry from what we’d actually paid for. The alternative? A subpar hotel that couldn’t hold a candle to our original booking in terms of view or quality. We graciously accepted, thinking it would be a temporary solution. Wrong. The runaround continued the next day with more broken promises. To add insult to injury, upon returning to the original hotel, they had the nerve to say our room wasn’t available AGAIN. The debacle was never-ending. In the end, we had to move to another hotel, costing us both time and money. The cherry on top? Their miserly refund offer of 2 nights out of a 6-night stay we NEVER experienced. And if the booking fiasco wasn’t enough, the state of the linens and the quality of the beds were absolutely appalling. To all prospective guests: steer clear. Save your money, time, and sanity. This hotel is not worth the ground it’s built on. And let me add: there are a plethora of other hotels around that are infinitely more deserving.
The hotel did not have our rooms available that we had bought months in advanced. Our rooms were suppose to have pyramid views. They then moved us to another hotel which was further from the pyramids and did not have any views
The room we booked was not available till the last day even though this was confirmed prior to my visit. Rather than a suite which was orinifnally booked, they provided two rooms and the difference was not refunded. On the last day the suite was lrovided and that made the last day significantly better. If the room booked was provided from day 1, this would be a positive review. Unfortunately it wasn’t. Hassan in the roof top cafeteria was brilliant. He went out his way to serve and was a refreshing change. My recommendation to anyone wanting to book this hotel is to fully validate ahead of the trip that the room booked is available. Have this in writing with option for full refund in the event if this is not.
This place has a great location but the hotel itself is one of the worst I’ve stayed at. My room was on 3rd floor, without a lift. They offered to carry my bags but recovered a tip. Room had no windows and had constant electricity shortages which meant no water/ AC. Additionally there is some refurb happening so during the day you hear repairs. Overall, not a great experience.
Just wanted to say a big thank you to Hamed, Ali and Moses. Myself and my 9 year old, spent 2 nights here and probably should have spent more my son didn't want to leave. If you want to wake up each morning and see a pyramid out your window it's worth the few extra pounds. Tip don't buy tickets for the light show as you get a better view from the roof top restaurant. Again just shkran from Stephen and Aiden
This hotel has the best views of the pyramids and is conveniently located near the entrance to the entrance of the Giza pyramids and Sphinx complex. The hospitality is incredible and I'd like to make a special shoutout to Hassan who took exceptional care of me for the duration of my stay. The rooms do need some maintenance however, what they lack in grandeur, they make up for in service.
The hotel had good pictures, but in person, it was very poorly put together, rough bed sheets, bad lighting in the room, no hot water in the bathroom on the first day, shower water flows for the shower all over the bathroom, shower head was broken, toilet bowl was broken, etc
This hotel does what it says. It’s opposite the entrance to the pyramids and the view is outstanding. I arranged a pick up from the hotel and it was so reassuring having someone there to greet me. My room wasn’t quite ready so I was sent to the rooftop bar for breakfast. This was outstanding. Probably enough food for five people. I found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. The room is fine. I never had hot water but I probably didn’t really need it. Would recommend
They haven't rooms (like Deluxe Triple with 3 double beds) as at Expedia description. Down grade the room without noting the guest, like you live room keys for cleaning and found all your things moved to another room, which is without windows at all. The front desk staff just ignoring the guest. The smell of horses everywhere.
Staff were all lovely, from Ola making checking in easy, Hassan with the amazing breakfasts, Ali making sure everything was clean and tidy. The location is superb, a one min walk to the necropolis plateau. The rooftop dining area has amazing views of the pyramids and sphinx, and you get to see the light and sound show from there for free. The hotel also can arrange tours for you and they do not pressure you into buying. Food was lovely, milkshakes are freshly made and awesome, free bottled water (needed in the heat). All in all, recommend highly.
The location and the views of the pyramids was fantastic. The service was excellent. The rooftop dining was terrific. The only negative that I have is the lack of an elevator.
Ok, so this hotel apparently ticks all the boxes. Right next to the sphinx, roof terrace with restaurant overlooking the pyramids, clean rooms, great breakfast etc. Thats until you notice THE NOISE. You see, in this hotel you can have either a standard back room, without window and a claustrophobic atmosphere. Or you can opt for a superior front room overlooking the pyramids. But then you also overlook the parking area for tour buses that are idling throughout the day. In the afternoon and at night the dogs take over, huge packs of dogs fight it out, barking and howling. Add to this constant honking and street chatter and top it all off with paper thin walls and windows that doesn´t close, and you have the noisiest hotel experience I´ve ever had. The solution is to opt for a cell-like back room without window. The staff do their best to try to compensate this by eagerly offering service, welcome drink, being helpful etc. But this ended up feeling a little pushy. I was also disappointed to find out that instead of giving me accurate information about the opening hours for the pyramids ticket office, the reception staff tried to convince me to join their tour. (The ticket office opens at 7, not 8 as he insisted). In the end, I ended up moving to a different hotel in central Cairo, as the whole experience of being in Giza and the pyramids felt like a total tourist trap. Sadly this important historical site has become a kind of Disneyland, just without the rides.
When we arrived at the hotel, unfortunately, our room was not available as it had been oversold, and we were given a lower category room. The next day, we were offered to move to another hotel owned by the same company just a few meters away. We had paid for a room with a view of the pyramids, which we never got. We asked to speak with the manager to request a refund for not having the promised view, but the manager never showed up to address our concerns. The employees did not have the power to resolve this issue either. The surrounding area is filled with dirty streets because it is a resting place for camels during the day, making it a total mess. We had a terrible experience and would never return. The only redeeming factor was the view of the pyramids from the breakfast terrace, but it did not make up for the overall disastrous experience.
The hotel is good and from the room and rooftop you have a beautiful view of the pyramids. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel has an Arabic atmosphere. The room was spacious, clean and the air conditioning and refrigerator worked well. In the bathroom everything worked, only the finishing is not so neat. The windows do not close completely, so you can hear noise from the street (barking dogs, horses passing by), so bring earplugs! Breakfast is great. Hassan and the other waiters brought a very extensive Arabic breakfast that was delicious. And all with a view of the pyramid! We loved the location. It is only a few minutes walk to the entrance of the Giza plateau. We also used the transfer service from the airport to the hotel and back. They arrived on time.
The hotel is situated very close to the pyramids which is great and the breakfast is also very big and tasty. We booked a room that didnt face the pyramids and there was no window in the room facing outside, just a small one facing the hallway. There is very insulation so you can hear other doors opening and closing that continued throughout the night. The room was also dated, with an old bathroom and decor. The price for food and the day trips were also a bit pricy.
We booked and paid for the luxury suite for six people but were put into two double standard rooms without windows (!) in the hotel next door (Great Pyramid Inn). No explanation was given whatsoever, we were shoved into the rooms and that’s it. When we went down to the reception to ask about this, we were only offered a free airport transfer since they were apparently not able to refund us as we paid via Expedia. Felt like a complete rip off and tourist trip, would not recommend going here. And if you have to, book the cheapest room as you will most likely end up with that anyways.
The good: Staff extremely helpful and nice, breakfast at the rooftop with Pyramids view - outstanding. Breakfast staff exceptional. Pyramids view from room not as good but still very nice. Right beside side entrance to pyramids, you can observe morning hassle of hustlers on camels and horses rushing their way to start another day herrassing tourists. Very real experience. The bad: we were placed in hotel next door not the booked hotel. Very noisy, impossible to sleep, paper thin walls. We were moved to another, smaller room with only one bed while out from hotel without warning with some items left in drawers. Next night they tried to move us again to even worst room without balcony but fortunately we were at hotel. Looks like they overbook then juggle customers hoping all will work out. Dodgy neighborhood.
Very clean and well taken care of. The staff was excellent and attentive. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The view of the pyramids and Sphinx wasamazing.
Summary: Do Not stay here. The management are scammers and liars that try to extort tourists. I had an extremely frustrating and stressful evening recently at the Panorama Pyramids Inn which was a complete scam and not what I paid for. When I arrive at the Panorama Pyramids Inn they had no rooms available even though I had prepaid my booking and was confirmed back in February. Furthermore they couldn't find my reservation until I showed them my confirmation email. Then I was told the Panorama Pyramids Inn only accepts booking.com reservations and that Expedia/hotels.com guests weren't accepted there even though I was able to book their hotel on Expedia so this was a total lie and scam. I was forced to stay at a different "sister" hotel down the road and didn't receive the pyramid view room that I paid extra for. the other hotel put me in a no view room with bars over the window sharing a wall with the lobby which was extremely noisy. Also I had to wait for a room until 8pm at the sister property because the room had plumbing problems. Ultimately I had water on the flower of my bathroom and the toilet didn’t work at all for my stay and I was requested to still use the amenities down the street at the Panorama Pyramids Inn and tried to pressure me into buying tours from their hotel.
I’ve read a lot of the reviews on this hotel and the bad ones talk about overpriced tours and that was just nonsense! It’s over priced because you don’t know how to haggle you adult pampered children. First price was a bit high but we showed him other prices we googled on our phones and he lowered prices accordingly. As for the food. It’s free! Quit complaining you boojee prima donna spoiled brats. The rooms were clean and the staff was kind and very accommodating. The majority of Cairo and Giza is covered in a layer of horse, camel, dog and cat crap but this place is a nice clean place to end your day. Egypt is not like America! Don’t come here thinking it is.
You cannot beat the view if you have a pyramid-view room. In the morning you can see camels in the street. It's a nice enough hotel...I would say it's a 3* hotel. It's dated but gives the experience of being in Egypt. The rooftop restaurant has the breathtaking view of the pyramids. Breakfasts are amazing. Food is very reasonably priced and the wait staff are great.
The view at the roof top is amazing and the breakfast is sumptuous with Hassan doing a great job. You can hear everything from the room. The dogs barking, people talking, horses running, the cars passing from the street and doors banging from the wholeway. The bathroom is very small, you have no room for your legs if you sit on the toilet so you have to sit sideways. The water leaks from the shower glass wall so the whole floor will be very wet after taking a shower. I stayed 2 nights in this Hotel and in my booking, it’s written that I have 1 free airport transfer but when I ask the hotel, they told me they only give it for 3 nights stay. I showed them my booking but they said, ebookers wrote that not them. I think it’s also time to change the mattresses, they have a lot of unpleasant discolorations.
Did not get room in the hotel and was sent to different hotel. Booked a pyramid view but got a no window room. Was forced to buy dinner before getting room on rooftop. Was made to feel very uncomfortable.
Terrible experience. They didn't have the room available in their property and asked us to move to another nearby hotel which was under construction. We booked room with a view but they provided a ground floor room with no sofa or table. In night there was water dripping from their AC unit . It ruined our luggage. We couldn't run AC the whole night. There were flies and mosquitoes. Bathroom was very small and with no door or curtain in shower. So it flooded the bathroom each time you shower. This was just the first day experience. Unfortunately we have booked it for 3 days. We will how the rest goes. I suggest to not book this hotel. While staff is nice but they have no idea of running a hotel. So run away with your money and don't waste at this property
The hotel room was lovely and we had a beautiful view of the pyramids from our pyramid view room booking. The included breakfast was wonderful and the staff who work there are very friendly and helpful especially Hassan at the rooftop restaurant, Moses, and Yassir the concierge. Yassir was very informative on the first day about the area and available tours during the free welcome drinks. Everyone at the hotel has a high level of hospitality. You have an incredible view of the pyramids and can see the pyramids sounds and lights show most evenings from the rooftop restaurant. My husband and I enjoyed our time there and it’s amazing proximity to the pyramids was a bonus. The only issue was outside the hotel, the stray dogs in the streets can be a little bit noisy at night but I was prepared with earplugs and recommend bringing some to any hotel in the area.
Nice
The staff was beyond attentive. Made my stay in Cairo that much more memorable. If I ever go back, Im definitely staying there again. Thank you very much!
The staff are kind but the final balance of our stay was not great. When we arrived there was confusion regarding the payment we had already paid in advance but they charged us again. We managed to resolve it after contacting hotels.com. However, when we left when unpacking my bag I realized that a toiletry bag was missing with several things inside and it was a special objective. I reached out and the hotel did nothing but apologize. Overall I would recommend it but after that I was disappointed!
Moses was very helpful, great view. The only issue was no Wifi. But everything else was great 👍
I stayed here for three nights on a family trip, and I can say that the hospitality was superb! Although only a 3 star hotel the hospitality was 5 star. The pyramid views from the rooftop was spectacular whilst having breakfast and dinner. The complimentary waters, teas and flexibility of booking a last minute taxi was great! Thanks to all hotel staff from the concierge to drivers. especially, Hassan, Ola, Farouk, Mohamed, and our 2 drivers Hani and Islam. You made us feel very welcomed. Special thanks to our tour Guide, Zeinab arranged separately by Yassir at the hotel. Zeinab was an amazing tour guide and we couldn’t have had a better experience. Thank you for hosting us, Panorama Pyramids Inn!
This was such a great hotel! The view from our balcony was incredible. The staff was so attentive and welcoming. There’s no elevator and one of the staff members, Alibabba, carried our luggage for us and made sure we had everything we needed. On the rooftop Hassan took great care of us serving an incredible breakfast that was included in the stay. Our welcome drinks were also delicious. The Wi-Fi was down and staff even helped share hotspots for us. Everyone was amazing and very hospitable. Would stay here again!
Staff are great. They try to pleasure everyone as much as possible. When I went to the rooftop for breakfast. Hassan was so caring & AWESOME. Abraham was also great on lunch time! One thing that bothered me was water leaking out the shower. There would be so much water on the bathroom floor. Not sure if that can be fixed.
People are nice.
I stayed here for 3 nights stop over, mainly to show my kids the Pyramids. This hotel was such a good choice as it had amazing views of the Pyramids from its rooftop restaurant. I cant thank the staff enough, from the restaurant staff Hasan and team, the reception desk Faruk and Ola were absolutely amazing,
We loved the proximity to the pyramids and the amazing view from the terrace. The room was basic but always clean. Ali did an amazing job keeping everything clean. Hasan was amazing always having coffee and snacks and a ready smile ready everytime we went to the terrace. Breakfast was amazing. Ola also made us feel at home. Would definitely recommend this hotel for visiting the pyramids and elsewhere. Watching the sound and light show from the terrace was also a highlight for us.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Panorama Pyramids Inn in Giza, it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the warmth and hospitality of the staff, who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and memorable. One staff member in particular, a lady named Ola, truly stood out for her exceptional service and attention to detail. She was always available to answer any questions I had and made sure that all my needs were taken care of. Her friendly and kind demeanour made me feel like a valued guest, and I am truly grateful for her assistance during my stay. A highlight was undoubtedly the stunning pyramid view, which I could enjoy from both my bedroom and the rooftop terrace, this is something that I will never forget. The breakfast on the rooftop terrace was amazing, you will not go hungry. The variety of dishes and quality of food was impressive. The only suggestions I have for improvement would be is to have heaters on the terrace, this would add more comfort during the cooler seasons. A hairdryer in every room would also be beneficial. However, this is a very minor issue compared to the incredible experience I had. Overall, my experience was exceptional, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Giza. The amazing staff, the pyramid view from the bedroom and rooftop terrace, and the amazing breakfast all contributed to making this hotel a must-stay for anyone visiting Egypt.
Amazing view. Friendly staff and good food at their restaurant. Can’t beat the price and location.
Be aware, staff steals personal belongings!!! Location is good. Bed sheets were clean but mattress and pillows were incredibly filthy. Breakfast was good. All tours were overpriced comparing to other places, tour guide took us to side businesses like fake papyrus factory, complete SCAM, overpriced by x20! On the last day some personal belongings were stollen. Stay at your own risk.
I loved my stay at this hotel. The view of the pyramids from the roof top and the room was a big plus. Staff were always helpful, food was delicious and the restaurant server Hassan did an excellent job feeding us. The only downside is that there is no elevator in the facility and that we were placed in a room with no pyramid view for one of the nights we payed for the view. Nevertheless, they moved us ajd gave us a refund for the difference which is highly appreciated. Friends are already asking about the place, and I recommend it.
Do not stay at this hotel. It is a complete scam and extremely dirty and unsafe. They rush you to the rooftop after overcharging you for the payment. Then, when you try to ask for your room, they quickly send you to a different hotel, claiming it is an upgrade (which it is not). The reception man is a scam artist. Do not book tours through him! We left after one night. Traumatic experience, and I wouldn't wish this horrible place on anyone.
First of all the hotel staff are scam artist. They will get you with a free and terrible dinner then try to sell you overpriced tour packages. They coordinate with the tour guides to drive you to their friends shops all day instead who will corner you into buying fake items instead of taking you to the sights they promised and then will do nothing about it when you complain. The front desk staff is rude. Our small room with no windows. We booked a pyramid facing room but they gave to someone else and said they were overbooked. The hotel was not busy at all. The view is nice but that’s about it. Seriously, there are much nicer places to stay.
Reception was nice, but that is not enough to run a business. The room they gave me was one of the worst rooms I have ever seen in my life. I have been traveling to many countries before, seen many poor areas, buildings etc. but this exceeded everything I've ever encountered. Upon entering you could smell the SEWAGE & URINE very strongly, the bathroom drain was clogged, so you would have to shower with sewage water up to your ankles. There were sewage drain flies and cockroaches infestation. Both "children's beds" they put together to make 1 bed in the room had broken baseboards, so severe to the point that the mattress was on the floor! The windows are not sealed and you can hear all the ruckus going on outside literally non stop for 24hrs. Dogs barking, motorcycles speeding & honking, people yelling, horses running, you can hear ALL THIS nonstop. You will not be able to sleep or eat here. The breakfast included its upstairs outdoors and they have yet another infestation FLIES everywhere, and I mean hundreds of them all over the food as soon as they put it on table. I was not able to eat, at all. It was the worst I have ever experienced in my life. I cannot believe the owner & managers think that this is OK. ,maybe for poor Egyptians it is, but your not servicing poor Egyptians, you are servicing tourists from other continents who are not capable to withstand these unsanitary, uninhabitable conditions. Also stop doing business with the scammer AMR GAMAL, he has been reported a known scammer by many tourists from different countries, and may soon be wanted by international police. You don't want to appear guilty by association.
Inconvenient location and very poorly maintained hotel. Scam artist manager gave our rooms away and switched us to a different place charging $25 for a complimentary cab ride from the airport and $15 extra for the room. Recommend trying someplace else.
Hasan was a great waitress!
My wife and I have been traveling together for over 20 years and we have never once had this happen. We were visiting Egypt for Thanksgiving and after staying a night at the Osiris Hotel in Downtown Cairo (which is well worth the money), we wanted to stay the second night near the pyramids, which we would visit the following morning. After looking at several reviews, which highly recommended the Panorama Pyramids Inn, we were sold. We booked two rooms (we have a family of four and there are few hotels in the area that allow 4 people to a room so we had to get two rooms) about 2 months out, both with full pyramid views. We arrived around 2 PM on a Tuesday, were pleasantly greeted by the front desk who asked for a copy of our reservation (which I did not think much of at the time). After a few minutes, he told us that our rooms were not yet ready but to leave our bags at the front desk and then he led us up 3 floors (there is no elevator so keep this in mind if someone in your group doesn't do stairs well) to the rooftop deck. I will tell you, the views are amazing there. You can see the pyramids and the Sphinx (note that you may have an obstructed view of the Sphinx depending on where you are standing/sitting). The hotel offered us a free welcome drink per person and we ordered some hummus as we didn't know how long we would have to wait. After about an hour, a different gentlemen told us our rooms were ready but first they wanted to talk to us about the tours they offered. He spent about 15 minutes going through tours, none of which would fit what my family wanted to do (we enjoy walking and despite the person telling us that it is too far to walk between the pyramids, that is hardly the case--they are very walkable). After we declined, we went downstairs and that is when the (non) fun started. The front desk person told us that the hotel would get our bags and he would show us to our room. We are a family that only travels with carryons that are backpacks or roll so although we let him take one of our bags, we rolled the rest. That was an important move because the front desk person led us outside of the Panorama Pyramids Inn and down the (very dirty) street about 1.5 blocks to another building that had "Taj Palace" at the very top and upon entering the building had "Mena Hotel" in the lobby (with no attendant), which was in disarray and dirty. After going up a flight of stairs, there was a check in for what was obviously a different hotel (if the different building and signage did not give it away, the second check in desk did). We were led into two rooms that both had obstructive views of the pyramids, not the full views we were promised and what it appeared we would have in the Panorama Pyramids Inn. In fact, in one of them the window stared at a brick wall. In addition, one of the rooms had construction going on next door with constant loud banging, both were not very clean, and neither had their air conditioning working well. After being in the rooms for just a couple minutes, we knew that this was wrong. So I went back out of the current building, down the street and to the Panorama Pyramids Inn and told the front desk person that this was not the hotel we booked. He had the gall to lie to me and tell us that it was the "SAME" hotel and that it was the "Expedia" rate part of the Panorama Pyramids Inn. Clearly, that was not the case so I called the booking agency (I used Capital One Travel) who then tried to contact the hotel directly. The Capital One Travel representative came back on and said that the Panorama Pyramids Inn told her that there is a 30 minute wait to speak to a representative. Of course, I was in the lobby at the time staring at the front desk person who obviously was not on the phone. Basically, he was intentionally stalling. Then he lied to the travel representative as well--saying that they had given us the rooms that we were promised but that we refused. Again, absolutely not the case. After being on the phone for about 45 minutes (and still on the phone) another person from the Panorama Pyramids Inn came over and said that the other hotel had "the same owner" but also admitted that what was happening was very wrong. After speaking with a supervisor for Capital One Travel, we were eventually booked in a new hotel. The long and short of it is that we booked and arrived at the hotel of our choice and they pulled a bait and switch--misrepresenting that a completely different (and lower grade hotel) was the same as the Panorama Pyramids Inn. And then when we brought it to their attention, they doubled down and lied about it. You can choose for yourself what you want to do, but my families' recommendation is to at most have a drink on the rooftop deck but otherwise stay far away from this hotel. You will not get what you paid for.
The location is perfect right in front of pyramids , the staff were excellent, very helpful, especially Hassan and Mohammed, the breakfast was great. We stayed there 4 days ,we definitely would love to go back and stay there.
My family and I visited the Panorama Pyramids Inn and were immediately disgusted by the smell of urine throughout the property, filthy hotel room and the horrific location. Anyone that has given a favorable review has obviously never visited this hotel. If you stay there, be prepared to be surrounded by hundreds of rabid dogs and gangs of loud/ threatening locals. We were forced to leave the hotel in the middle of the night to find a better, cleaner and safer hotel. The owner and management of this hotel should be disgusted with themselves for allowing people to stay in their filthy excuse for a hotel.
Avoid this hotel, tried over charging £50 sterling extra on credit card even though rate had been agreed on booking.com. When questioned staff couldn’t explain why and gave feeble excuses of exchange rate but this wasn’t the case they were trying to scam us. Trying to sell tours the minute you enter hotel , very pushy. Hotel room was tiny we were 4 people & there wasn’t room to stand in room. Bathroom had several issues, toilet seat falling off , sink pipe leaking water, shower was literally on top of toilet. Wardrobe door fell off as my 10 year old son walked past it missing him literally. Complained to staff who sent someone to fix it but a few hours later the exact same thing happened. Son could have been seriously injured. Complained again & they said they’d fix door but I said take door off I’d rather have no door than my son being crushed beneath it. Next day we were given different room, slightly better size but toilet flush not working, no pressure, told staff but never got fixed. Went out for day to return to the whole furniture of our bedroom being changed, eg wardrobe/ bed / dressing tables etc. Didn’t appreciate someone moving my personal belongings from wardrobe etc. If they’d informed us I could have moved my stuff. We’d booked for 4 nights I did try booking another hotel on 1st night but there wasn’t availability so was stuck. The only positive is the location & pyramid view room and rooftop. However there’s lots of other hotels nearby with same location & views. I’d booked this for my husband 50th birthday & wanted a pyramid view room & pleasant stay. I didn’t expect 5 star but atleast things needed to work . Had messaged prior to arrival about a cake for his actual birthday, reminded day before but nothing was set up for time I requested. Later on a cake appeared . Not very organised. Definitely would not recommend this hotel. Avoid and book somewhere else .
The hotel first line front of the Pyramids,The service and the attention of everyone at the hotel was excellent, they were all very nice and helpful. The rooftop view is stunning ( you can watch the light show for free) food was great & my room was very clean and comfortable.
Hotel room and upstairs eating area was very dirty. The room was overpriced for comparable hotels in the area. We were booked in for three days but vacated after the first and found a great hotel around the corner. Our room didn't have wifi and the tv didn't work. We rang and someone attended but it wasn't fixed. My wife and I both got food poisoning from the breakfast. This hotel is capitalising on the view but there are many hotels in the area with the same if not better. Please do your research.
It's a beautiful hotel in an incredible location - literally right next to the pyramids 2 min walk from the visitor centre. Everyone's very helpful and polite. The breakfast is AWESOME. The restaurant at other meal times is also very nice and resonably price. Our room was clean. Certainly this is a great place to go if you want to be fancy. And I think it's pretty reasonably priced (was ~£60 for each of us/night), given how fancy it is. Free hot drinks, mineral water, fruits anytime at the restaurant. We booked a day tour with the hotel and it was a good experience with Joe our tour guide.
Everything was great very luxury room. View from room and rooftop amazing.breakfast delicious don't think too much thats the perfect place. Thanks to all the team there
My guide Sherine was amazing.
The view is amazing-- nothing else really matters. There was hot water, clean towels, air conditioning, everything you normally take for granted but the main thing is the view, and this place delivers. Rooms could have been soundproofed a little better I guess, you can hear people walking around the hall like they're inside your room. But so what? The view is amazing. Great, super inexpensive place to stay for a day while doing your pyramid tour
So this was actually the hotel I had been most excited for! Booked our room back in November for a view of the pyramids! When we arrived my friend and I were told we were receiving an upgrade. We were led to a hotel two buildings down only to be brought to a room with a window with bars on it and the view is a random shaft (see attached picture). When we went back to Panorama Pyramids Hotel, we were told the price I paid was too cheap for a Pyramid View, but they’d look into it. My friend and I spent about 4 hours exploring or walking around with no answer. I again reached out and was told the mistake was on the end of Hotels.com. For the first night we were essentially SOL, all the views with the pyramids were sold out. Speaking with a few locals at dinner we were told these rooms are for students, not guests. I have a hard time believing I’m the first person to have this problem through Hotels.com. If it is truly an issue with that it should have been resolved. For the problem at hand, they did however offer to compensate with a free meal, and the next day we did get our pyramid view, however this was a once in a life time trip for my friend and I and we were extremely disappointed with the customer service, I felt like an annoyance for fighting for my room.
The service was better than the five star hotels we went to but the hotel is in terrible condition and is run down
This hotel offers a great rooftop where one could view the pyramids’ light show daily. The food was amazing and very tasty.
This “hotel” is the worst I’ve ever stayed at and I’ve stayed all over planet earth. What made it really bad is how dishonest and slimy the management is. They lied to us about transportation to and from the airport, as well as about the tours. This was beyond bad.
The hotel is decent. Location is great. Great view of the pyramids. The people were all pretty nice. The one issue is they did a bait and switch on us. Though we checked in well after check-in time, our room was supposedly not ready, so they gave us keys to another room to "rest in" while we wait. We went to the roof and just stayed there and enjoyed the view and snacks. A while later, our room was ready. We rented one that looked and sounded good online. What we got was a much smaller, dingy, dark room with no window or shower door/walls. We particularly wanted decent space and 3 beds. When I questioned this, they said I got a standard room. If I wanted a window I had to upgrade - essentially to a room like the one they gave us a key to at checkin. Sure enough, that room, was nice, bright, big and clean with a bigger bathroom that had shower walls and door. Had we been in that room from the beginning, everything would've been great. Instead, I have to give an "ok" rating. One other issue I had was that the amount of food was enormous and we just couldn't eat all of it, so we requested not to get so much the other days, but still did so much was wasted (hopefully they donated it to someone in need or the strays).
This is at very best only a 2 star hotel but really a 1 star. We booked for 2 nights but left after the first night. The hotel is very run down and dirty. We paid extra to have a “deluxe double pyramid view” i shudder to think what a none deluxe room was like !! In our “deluxe” room the bed was dirty and the windows didn’t shut properly along with this the noise outside was horrendous The air conditioning was broken the television wouldn’t work Dogs barked just outside all night long we had zero sleep. Not a good night at all ! On a plus point The roof terrace with pyramid view is a nice place to spend the evening watching the light show. We enjoyed a reasonable meal here though it must be noted that the hotel doesn’t sell any alcoholic drinks. The only reason this is not a 1 star hotel is that the staff are especially friendly, helpful and welcoming. We have traveled all over the world and stayed in hundreds of hotels alas this is probably the worst. We booked here after reading the reviews and alas many of these are not accurate All this said the Pyramids are amazing to see
Amazing view from the room, walking distance to the pyramids.
We came to Egypt wanting to play it by ear, the only thing we knew was were we’d stay. The hotel accommodated our every need. From helping plan tours & setting us up with such an amazing tour guide lamia, She educated us on the beautiful history of Egypt & was great with my friends toddler. To our everyday server Hassan who made sure we were well fed & taken care of, we had days of staying in & he would bring our breakfast to our room, always with a smile on his face. He made us feel like no request was too big & he was truly there to serve us. To our room service & staff Alibaba & Muhammad made sure our room was always clean, we had fresh towels, water, and filled any amenities we needed. If your planning your next trip to Egypt. Stay here. I know I’ll be back! ❤️
The bad: 1-we booked a pyramids view room for 1 night. the pictures showed a beautiful terrace. We didnt get any options on Expedia for a balcony one. When we arrived, it turned out to be an old room with a modest size window where you can see no pyramids from when in bed. Only when standing or sitting upright. When we asked for an upgrade for this mystical balcony room, they told us to wait but they never got back to us on availability. Around 5ish we asked, they said oh its not available. 2- The room is absolutely horrific. Not sure if all rooms on first floor are the same, but we stayed in 101 and it smells like sewage (it probably is sewage). We thought this is how Egypt's water smelled like, but trust me, its not. The shower box leakes water all over the bathroom when you take a shower. You need to hold the water kettle button while heating water. The bedding and pillow covers got dusgusting stains (we also thought its normal in Egypt, but being in the Kempenski now we can say this is NOT how hotels are). 3-to top it all off, we booked for a carte with a horse ride in pyramids, 400 EGP for 2 hours, with a guide. What a joke that was on us, the "guide" went up the hill so fast and finished the tour in 40 minutes, AND ASKED FOR A TIP. I told him we booked for two hours we want him to take us to the panorama view again. He started screaming, and left us on top. The good: location!
Overall it was a nice stay. They served a small breakfast. My bed was stiff and other reviews stated that it was dirty but I only saw that its and outdated hotel. I would stay again for the view and price.
Everyone is so kind and helpful and goes out of their way to accommodate us
Unbelievable time… affordable, Amazing views of the Pyramids and friendly staff. Breakfast is included and was pretty good, no complaints…. Book your tours with the hotel, you’ll save some money. I would definitely recommend and look forward to my next stay. Thank You for your hospitality!!!
I've been to 12 countries and hundreds of hotels and this has been the worst hotel experience I've had. I booked 5 rooms WITH vIew to the pyramids. When our family of 10 arrived to this place, we were given 2 rooms at this hotel and the 3 other were sent to another hotel a few buildings down the road. We were soooo tired that at the point, we didnt care even though we had paid for Panorama Hotel. The rooms were filthy dirty, ugly, no windows, full of water...JUST DISGUSTING. Three of the rooms did not have water and in one of the them the bathroom ceilling collapsed!!! The worst part is that the Panorama hotel Manager was present thru all of this and didnt even move a finger neither apologized for all this. He just didnt care and was on his phone all the time. If I have a bad experience, I usually just ignore it and dont care to write a review. But for this one, I couldnt let it pass. PLEASE TRUST AN HONEST PERSON THAT HAS TRAVELLED THE WORLD....DO NOT STAY HERE. I was so embarrased and upset that I forgot to even recors this. But I do have a picture of how the bathrooms IN THE GOOD ROOM flooded everytime we took a bath.
Driver Islam and tour guide Hamdi are the BEST part of this hotel. They made our trip unforgettable! Hotel property conditions are sub par, but I wouldn’t trade it at all because of our incredible driver and tour guide. Make sure you ask for them when booking your tour!!!
Parking was horrible, my car was damaged
Worse
Property is very very run down. The rooms were ok in terms of cleanliness but everything else needs to be renovated. View was great obviously right by the pyramids.
Bad part was the noise at night. There are dogs constantly barking, people talking loud, the police clearing pedestrian traffic outside at 1 am. The food is subpare, but the view and service are 5 star!!!!! I went by myself and I literally felt like family. I can say that about nowhere else. The view is amazing, and you can't beat the price. I would go bavk again with earplugs, and food alternatives just for the service and the view.
Right out front of pyramids, good driver service all around good hotel service
The service was great from people like Abdul at the hotel. The pyramid night show can be seen from the hotel roof and it was impressive with an amazing view of the pyramids. We booked various tours with the hotel and agreed to the value on our first day in Egypt. We could have done better with the negotiation tour price, but we got pretty much everything we wanted to do in Cairo and the surrounded area. Be sure to be very clear with exactly what you want from the tour and do settle for less if this is what is agreed with (make sure to go inside the large pyramid instead of the second pyramid if make the trip all the way Egypt). I am very nice and like to give people second chances, but we should have changed guides after getting considerably better ones in both Aswan and Luxor. After tours everyday, we went for dinner and were told that the food was covered, but we had to pay for drinks. The only problem was that the bill was 200+ EPD for 2 pops and 2 waters (which sure seems high since the total price for these same items is 30 EPD at a convenience store). It was not a huge amount of money so never got too concerned, but this is something to be aware of. We felt completely safe and were treated great from the moment we were picked up at the airport until the moment we dropped off at the airport. The drivers that were provided by the hotel were exceptional and worth every penny they get paid. Overall it was a great stay and I would highly recommend this hotel.
