Reviewed Sep 18, 2026Gio and is son Mattia, went above and beyond as hosts! They were helpful on so many ways that I felt like we had known each other for a long time already! The location on the map looks like it is a distance from the town center and the main beaches but this is the hidden gem of Casa Gio! It is very close to Playa Bonita which is one of the best beaches in Las Terranas and a very short distance from the Merca and (soon to be completed) Sirena mega grocery stores. But the main benefit is in the oasis of Casa Gio there is NO noise to be heard and the town of Las Terranas is VERY noisy, so I prefer to sit by their pool or sleep in the room without a sound other than the birds! It is a hidden gem!
What I didn't like was that I had not found their place sooner in my holiday. I would absolutely return there when I come back to Las Terranas

Talvez la distancia a las playas , eso lo sabía, pero el transporte es con moto . No lo necesitamos pero hay q saber q el aire acondicionado es aparte.

Reviewed Jun 25, 2026Wir haben uns richtig wohl gefühlt. Es gab ein tolles Frühstück, es war richtig ausreichend Platz und alles funktionierte bestens. Ganz in der Nähe ist ein neuer großer Supermarkt. Man kann sich in der Außenküche auch prima selbst versorgen.

Reviewed May 22, 2026Nous avons passé un séjour absolument parfait. La famille est d’une gentillesse rare, toujours souriante, accueillante et prête à aider. Le lieu est magnifique et extrêmement bien entretenu : le jardin, la piscine, les chambres… tout était impeccable, il n’y avait vraiment rien à redire. Les petits déjeuners étaient copieux et délicieux, avec des produits cultivés par eux-mêmes, ce qui apporte une vraie touche authentique et chaleureuse. Mention spéciale également à leur fils, qui est venu discuter avec nous un soir avec beaucoup de simplicité et de gentillesse. On se sent tout de suite à l’aise dans cet endroit paisible et plein de bienveillance. Une très belle rencontre et une adresse que nous recommandons les yeux fermés.
Le seul petit point d’amélioration concernerait peut-être les options proposées en supplément, comme la climatisation ou le petit déjeuner. Au vu de la qualité exceptionnelle du lieu, du confort des chambres, de l’entretien irréprochable et de l’accueil proposé, les propriétaires pourraient tout à fait se permettre d’augmenter légèrement leurs tarifs en incluant directement ces prestations. L’expérience serait alors absolument parfaite du début à la fin. Mais cela reste sincèrement un détail tant le séjour, le cadre et la gentillesse de la famille ont été remarquables.

Reviewed May 6, 2026Rustig en ontspannen verblijf, net buiten de drukte. Het heeft alles wat je nodig hebt voor een perfect verblijf in Las Terrenas. De eigenaar is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ik heb mijn verblijf 2 keer verlengd, dus ik kan deze plek je zeker aanraden. Laat alleen een plekje voor mij over als ik weer terug kom 😉🇩🇴

Reviewed Mar 23, 2026Très belle grande chambre avec climatisation (en supplément) mais pas nécessaire le ventilateur plafond est suffisant, grande salle d’eau avec super pression et eau chaude, super wifi, belle piscine, une cuisine extérieure partagée avec tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner et eau purifiée à disposition, réfrigérateur dans la chambre, le tout dans un quartier calme à 1 pas du terminal de bus, 2 pas du centre, et 3 des premières plages et des hôtes incroyablement chaleureux. Je recommande cet endroit et y retournerai avec plaisir 👍

Reviewed Aug 15, 2025La habitación era muy bonita con su baño integrado, neverita, aire acondicionado y ventilador. También, tiene walk-in closet lo que me gusto mucho porque viaje con maletas. La piscina esta justo al frente de la habitación que alquile y el espacio afuera es muy lindo. No llegue a usar la cocina pero se veía bien, con lo básico. Gio es muy amable y amigable. Volveré.
No confien en la ubicacion que te da google maps cuando pones ''Casa Gio''. Te va a mandar por otro lado sin salida ya que esto queda dentro de un residencial que se llama ''Villa Las Flores''.

do not take the path on the left as you come in, it is made of blocks with gaps in between them and if you make a mistake it can be very painful as it happened to me. Also this property went crazy for easter pricing way over what you would expect to pay as value for money in Dominican Republic. It increased the cost by 3 times. You will pay this type of money in switzerland but for Dominican Republic it is crazy pricing in my opinion but if they do probably someone pays for it.

Everything in the room was a bit outdated. The shower did not really become warm.

- The curtains were white and thin and did not fully cover the windows. The house next to our bedroom had a big light on all night, so our room was very light and bright all night. - only one bedroom had airconditioning. The other one was very hot.

Reviewed Apr 6, 2023The hosts are all extremely attentive and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The rooms are spacious, clean and extremely well kept. The pool is marvelous and just begs to be used. There is a terrace with a common area for cooking that has been fully equipped for those who want to make their own meals. I will definitely back.
During the day it was a little too quiet for me. Some background music in the facilities could make a big difference, but I do understand that this is a shared space where others might require quiet time at different hours of the day.
