SUNSET BEACH HOTEL

The room significantly exceeded expectations, boasting new and clean hardware. While parking spaces were somewhat limited and the reception area wasn't immediately obvious, the hotel's best feature is its proximity: it's super close to the beach.

The Sunset Beach Hotel is an outstanding place to stay! The staff was incredibly courteous and professional, and the room was absolutely on par with big-name brands like Hilton or Marriott properties I’ve stayed at. Specifically, I was impressed with how spotlessly clean the room was, and I was very satisfied with the shower (tons of pressure and heat). Throw in the balcony with the view of the beach less than a 5min walk away and I’ll be happy to stay here again. I recommend trying the breakfast. Though you have to reserve a spot the evening prior it was well-worth it.

Little Hotel right on the beach! Super clean and staff was super fruendly and helpful. Bathroom were amazing with deep soak tub and awesome shower.

Cleaning was good I just wish there was more parking. We got a hotel there and just sucks how we paid for the hotel and that there’s not parking for us. Try to expand more on the parking lot, other than that it waa a good stay at the hotel.

房間設備部分有翻新的感覺部分有點老舊，房間有陽台可以眺望海灘，週六可在陽台欣賞美國村的煙火，有免費停車場但位置不多，步行5分鐘可至夕陽步道

Very good place to stay, it’s close to beach and you can walk to there by 3 mins. I highly recommend 1st floor room since it’s very convenient with back door for you to the beach.

Excellent view and beach access. Great location. Room had everything we need and lots of space. Staff was knowledgeable and kind to US travelers. I would recommend to others.

宿はギリギリベランダからサンセット見えないので、横のアメビレまで歩かなければならない！しかし、トータル良かった！朝ごはんにフルーツたくさんあって、高級ホテルよりあった！リーズナブルでおすすめ！

The rooms at this hotel are so spacious and comfortable. The bathroom has a nice large bathtub and a great rain shower I loved it all there. I would love to stay there again;)

お部屋は広く、バス、トイレが別なので家族や複数人での旅行も快適に過ごす事ができます。 バスタブは大きめ、シャワーは水量も設備もgood! 強いて言えば、駐車場の数がもう少しあると助かります。 アメリカンビレッジまで徒歩2、3分なので、朝海沿いのコーヒーショップでコーヒーをいただきながらのんびりと過ごせます♪

The location was perfect! It was close next to everything you would need including supermarket inside the Aeon. The breakfast we had one morning was good- had quite a bit of meat so difficult if you’re vegetarian… The bed was really hard but besides that it was an amazing stay! Would definitely recommend the hotel!

We stayed here on a stopover in Okinawa. Ready access to cabs, the America Village with some vegan options for my friends. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The staff attentative and helpful. And most importantly, the ocean view was worth the expense.

Love the view of the beach area. Room is spacious and comfortable. Its convenient as there are eateries and shopping just less than 10 minutes walk away. Love Red Lobster restaurant just behind the hotel. Breakfast is good too.

ホテルはとても良かったです。 残念な点はチェックアウトの時にフロントスタッフがおらず、ベルなどを何度も鳴らしたが出てこず、他の宿泊者と15分近く待たされたのは残念でした。

とにかく、アクセスが良く、部屋から直接ビーチに行けるのが最高！ 部屋も広くて、綺麗で、お風呂も大きく清潔感があって本当に良かったです。 日の出、夕焼けが最高！ あと、アメニティの竹で出来た歯ブラシが使い心地が良かったです。 アメリカンビレッジまで徒歩で行けますし、 とにかく、また泊まりたいです。

お部屋がとても広くて綺麗で、お風呂も大きくて最高でした！景色も目の前が海なので朝カーテンを開けるのが楽しみでした！ 外に出ると前がアメリカンビレッジで、夜遊んでもすぐ帰れるためとてもいい場所だと思います。

朝ごはんがボリューミーで美味しかったです。毎朝違って楽しみにしてます。 小さな規模のホテルは楽で家のような安心感があります。お風呂も広くて、シャワーも使いやすいです。 歩いて出かけられる場所があるのが楽しいです。

This was our favorite hotel in Japan. It was much bigger than any other hotel. The bathroom was incredible!! trust me on that. Look out to the beach even tho it was winter time. Very easy walk to tons of fun and shopping and dining! Would stay here again!!

すごーく、感動するくらい快適に過ごせたのですが、コインランドリーの乾燥機に背の低い私は届かないので、踏み台が欲しかったです。

１才の子供を連れて初めての沖縄旅行でしたが、アメリカンビレッジも近くサンセットビーチもベランダから見えて、近くを歩いているだけでも楽しめてとても良かったです。 予定も無理に詰め込む事もなく、のんびり過ごせました。 ホテルのスタッフさん達も感じの良い方達で、また家族旅行で沖縄に行くなら同じホテルにしたいと思いました。

This is a great little hotel practically on the beach; I had a 2nd floor end room (the hotel only has 3 floors) and I had a great view. It's next to American Village with it's unique style of tourist draws, with lots of restaurant, cafe, and bar options. Parking is free and available which I find difficult in Okinawa, so that was a major plus. There's also a laundry machine/dryer on each floor and it cost only 300 yen a load. The bathroom is a dream, amazing shower and super deep bath wet room, and very modern Japanese toilet The breakfast option is outstanding, it's a traditional Okinawan restaurant and the quality was top notch and very tasty. Highly recommend if you're looking to stay in Chatan.

Simple hotel that is steps away from the beach.

Cozy beach hotel. Large room for Japan. Phenomenal location.

The property is lovely for a modest stay on the beach. The room was clean with obvious updates. However, there was some mold on the walls that should be addressed. I can imagine with the humidity it is a constant battle. The hotel is right on the beach with most rooms (if not all) facing the ocean. It is a 5 minute walk to American Village where you have many, many shopping and dining options. Additionally, the staff was courteous and very accommodating when we arrived extremely late due to a delayed flight. Overall I'd recommend the hotel.

You can’t beat this property for the price. It’s not a five star hotel resort and it’s a step up from a motel, but the rooms are perfect and just steps away from Sunset Beach and a five minute walk to many shopping and dining options.

The property and the staff were as advertised and tried to make you stay the best they could. The parking was limited, but there was a huge free parking lot within two blocks. I would definitely stay here again.

a family of three adults, location perfect to travel around middle & north areas, american village, snorkeling to blue cave, churaumi aquarium, heart rocks at kouri island… kindly upgraded to 3 beds room, local style breakfast amazing!!! next to sunset beach that good to swim every early morning! we’ll stay with sunset hotel for our next trip to Okinawa!!! Strongly recommended!!!

Great location in the middle of American village and on the beach. Loved sitting at the balcony. Would be good if chairs were provided there. Spacious room. Loved the breakfast and the aunties serving there we super nice and helpful.

Everything was as shown in the photos. The staff was super friendly and respectful. Accommodated what ever we needed with no hesitation.

Excellent location right on the beach with a patio providing easy and quick access. Patio even had a hose to rinse your feet before entering the room. Shower and tub room were huge and the room was very spacious. The nearby restaurant called Beach Kitchen offered a happy hour for hotel guests which was nice. You can walk to anywhere along the waterfront and American Village from here. Uber was quick and plentiful too. Staff spoke English and late check out was available for about 1500 Y per hour.

Just opening the back door to the beach, was amazing. The staff was friendly. Room was clean. I will stay once again when i return to Okinawa

Okinawa Sunset Beach Hotel Location - 9/10: The hotel is located right next to American Village, just a 2-minute walk away. Service standard - 5/10: The service level of the front office staff indeed needs improvement. There was a night when the parking spaces were full, but the staff did not assist me, even though he was just standing at the corner smoking and talking with his colleague. Additionally, there was no housekeeping or room makeup service during our 2-night stay, which was very disappointing. We did not expect there to be no room makeup service; they could have informed us in advance if it was not provided. However, the breakfast was great, and the two older ladies in the restaurant provided us with excellent smiles and service. The scores are for those ladies. Room - 7/10: The rooms are spacious, and the sea view looks exactly the same as the pictures on the website. However, the design does not look like it is from 2018 and seems a bit old. Really nice room for the price and location, I expected much less! The hotel is the perfect location if you want to stay near American Village. It’s on Sunset Beach with view of the beach and sunsets! The room is nice, modern, and looks recently renovated. I must say this was the nicest of 4 rooms I’ve stayed through Tokyo, Osaka, and Okinawa, and it was the cheapest! This will be the place I always stay when I come to Okinawa. The only negative I can say is the parking is small, it’s always full and I had to park in a handicap spot one night (told to by staff), and they only overflow parking is not there’s and has hours it’s closed.

Excellent view and location! Coffee, water and tea in the room. The staff were super friendly. The shower was mentioned in several reviews and it was amazing! I’ve now moved to the Hilton (based on availability) and I preferred Sunset Beach Hotel. Highly recommend.
