loved the spa facilities , we didnt eat here as wed already eaten but the food looked amazing that i seen coming out staff all amazing and friendly nothing too much trouble room spotless and large could do with a little modernising in the older block but that wouldnt stop me coming again

Room was great. I liked being able to sit at a desk in the morning sunlight. Shower took ages for any warm water to arrive.

Tea cups were stained and looked grubby.

The location was where we wanted to be , the room was clean very warm . The swimming pool was excellent.

The food was adequate but for what we paid was disappointed, the waiting staff were not very friendly or helpful.

Dinner and breakfast were superb.as was the swimming pool. The beds were comfortable Staff were enthusiastic Car parking and access to the hotel were excellent.

Had to look for staff on arrival. The bathroom had no net curtain and had a big window overlooking the car park. There was rubbish in the room

Very convenient for the Vintage show we were attending in the village.Use of the Cloud Nine Spa facilities was included in the price and we enjoyed this very much.Cleanliness of hotel and Spa was A1

We didn’t like wet room

The evening meal in the bar was good and a good price although I did request chips with my chicken pie but was given mash. No big deal and it wasnt worth mentioning. The breakfast was excellent.

The biggest problem was the noise. The hotel cannot be blamed as the council in their wisdom decided to dig up the pavement right outside the front door and replace with block paviours. This was carried out during the night and started about 7 in the evening and apparently went on till 5 in the morning. This involved a road breaker and a disc cutter being used the whole time. I was still awake at gone midnight but must have finally dropped off. I paid £140 for that room and I didnt get a good nights sleep. I think I should get a refund.

The staff here were great. Very friendly and welcoming. The leisure facilities are good also although we didn't have a chance to use them. The evening meal was also good. The hotel itself and the rooms are a little dated but it provided a pleasant overnight stay with great bus links to the surrounding towns.

Pleasant dinner in a nice dining room . Reasonable choice for vegetarians. Nice outside area where you could sit with a drink. Extensive breakfast menu if you wanted it . Served early for those going to Royal Welsh show. Indoor swimming pool available for guests.

Bedroom window didn't open, so too hot , tho a fan was provided.

Ideal location for my work, unfortunately the town is looking very tired, however the hotel is very nice and the breakfast was excellent.

The staff were lovely. An item of clothing was left behind and they were so kind about locating it and sending it to us. The hotel is ideally located in the centre of Kington

The room was very hot in the heatwave. No AC. Had to ask for a fan. The window only opens a few inches. Security is fairly lax. Anyone can walk up to the rooms

Only after booing a non-refundable room was I informed that the spa would not be open during my stay - it was the main reason I booked this establishment. Only stayed one night. At breakfast, after half an hour of waiting, I asked when my food would be ready - and was told that the cook had no outstanding orders. Had to leave, so couldn't wait for them to start cooking it. No refund or goodwill gesture offered.

Great location for my visit, the food was superb and the staff were wonderful. The cloud 9 wellness suite was well equipped.

It’s a little dated and the room I had didn’t have aircon which on one of the hottest weekends of the year so far wasn’t ideal but at least the window wasn’t restricted like most hotels so that helped. With the wellness area the pool is a little small and unfortunately at the time I was able to visit it was too full to allow me to swim. I still made use of the gym. 9am is opening is just too late so earlier opening hours would be great to allow people to get in before half the day is gone

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Great it starred st 7.15am so we could start our walk early.

Bathroom was very tired and old, not particularly clean Dinner was average. Didn't use the swimming pool because one of the staff had brought a lot of friends to use the facilities. Shame as after a long day's walk it would have been nice.

Dinner was lovely, fish from the specials board. Cooked breakfast was good and to order. Fruit available but poor selection, but understandable not wanting waste.

I had a lovely welcome which is always a good start. All the staff were great. My food, leek and potato soup and lamb curry were both tasty, but missed that 'something' that makes food great. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. My room was very small, but well laid out and had everything you might need. I'd be happy to stay there again.

The staff and breakfasts were excellent. We didn’t eat there any other time so can’t comment on their full menu. Breakfast was cooked fresh and delicious. All the staff were friendly and always on hand to answer any questions.

We booked a family room for 2 of us. I have to say the double bed did seem a little small. Also the carpets, whilst clean, were stained and could probably do with changing. Also the windows which led out onto a flat roof (and a side alleyway) did not have secure locks. It was a shame the swimming pool refurbishment wasn’t completed but I was notified in advance

The room was unbearably hot until about 02.00. I had to ask for a fan which had to be on all night. At about 7.30 am, I was woken up by beer delivery lorry. The worst night I've ever spent in a hotel.

Shower extremely slow to get hot(at least 4 minutes)and shower head kept falling out of its holder. Water cold in the morning as well.

Comfortable and very friendly, helpful staff. Use of spa even on day we checked out a lovely addition especially as we had a couple of wet walks on the Offa’s Dyke. Great location in a lovely small town with walks from the door. Good value for money.

Gym not open till 9am, hence I couldn’t use it! Place is rundown, no fruit salad or pastries at breakfast, cheap bread! Fair price would be £50 per night, certainly not £125!

Leisure facilities were excellent

On check out the lady on reception couldn't be bothered to even make eye contact and was very dismissive when we pointed out they had missed a meal off the bill, sorry we were so honest. Food descriptions didn't match what was served.

Staff are friendly, helpful and polite excellent service. Food is Excellent and plenty of choice. The rooms are clean, tidy and have everything you need. Bathroom was spotless very clean, Bed was really comfortable. Gym and sauna has everything you need and is very clean, tidy and maintained.

The hotel was lovely & clean. The spar was a real plus for us & wasn’t too busy. Staff were friendly and very helpful & there was a nice choice of breakfast. Bed was comfortable too.

It’s a personal thing, but the hotel could do with a bit of personality e.g. some flowers pictures and Nick Mack’s to give it a less clinical feel.

Rooms, pool, atmosphere

Breakfast was very good in terms of choice and presentation. The spa area was excellent in all respects. Evening meal very good with a wide choice of menu and very generous portions.

The room was not warm on entry, because the small radiator needed to be on a higher temperature given the time of the year, as it kept going on and off and even on MAX was never hot. The temperature should have been turned up prior to my arrival. After a lovely spa experience I looked forward to a hot shower in my room, which was not to be initially, because the water was running cold. I had to put clothes back on and report to Reception the problem. Was told to leave the water running for a long time because my room was at the end of the boiler system. Fair enough, but why not leave a note to that effect to the hotel guest?! The inadequacies of the boiler system are not the guest's fault!! I could have done with a bedcover to go over the duvet, because the room wasn't warm, but nothing in sight.

Friendly welcome by Staff who introduced us to the facilities room was perfect for me and my daughter evening meal was lovely cooked fresh and good value for money breakfast was superb and being able to have the use of the spa after departure was perfect couldn’t recommend this experience more in a busy week it what you need thank you to all the staff.
