Provider-sourced guest reviews.
The hotel was ideal for our short stay in the area, staff very helpful, evening food and breakfast very good
staff very weloming
mattress uncomfortable. bathroom a little small
Very helpful and friendly staff. Clean.
Breakfast was quite basic, no gluten free options.
Very good continental breakfast.
The breakfast was the only disappointment in that we were looking forward to a full English breakfast. But they just changed it to a continental breakfast and we had not been notified. But the continental breakfast was excellent.
The front area was beautiful
Hard beds , poor pillows, Luke warm water. Radiator hanging off wall and window did not close
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable, clean room. Great shower. Excellent location.
Rapport qualité prix et parfait
Petit déjeuner médiocre mais franchement pour le prix c'est très bien
Clean, pleasant place. Staff were friendly and efficient. Thank you.
Noise from pub quiz carried into room, but it ended early enough, so no worries.
Great price and location, lovely premises
The location of the hotel, the comfortable beds, the high quality breakfast, and the general friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.
The fact that the shower didn't function properly, nor did the television.
Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, nettes Pub dabei mit Garten
Winziges Zimmer, Tischchen draußen schmutzig, etwas ungepflegt.
Good English breakfast was a bonus
Nothing
The room was quiet nice but basic
Breakfast was a bit dull Very uneven seating area at the back of Chalets and Cigarette Ends scattered around the floor
Close to Heathrow, nice and clean
Food wasn’t being served this time, was a shame as last time food was lovely.
Location and it’s character
Weird smell in the bathroom
I had a budget room, which was in the older part, but did the job fine. Companions in a more recent room which they were quite happy with. Easy parking; nice and quiet; convenient for Iver station. Signing in person was lovely.
Breakfast was rather basic. Breakfast server (owner?) seemed rather tired of the job, but nice enough.
Full english execellant
Staff as usual were great
1 bed was broken and hadn't been cleaned properly, however the manager took note and gave part refund and promised action.
Breakfast was good staff at breakfast very polite

They had a room. The shower had good pressure and was clean. Bathroom had more space than the bedroom.
Day I was there, the kitchen was closed.
Excellent location and the manager and staff were brilliant
I am aware that some hospitality’s are struggling so I wouldn’t like to give a poor review, I have stayed here before and was given a much better and more updated room, this time was a lot different and if I knew I would get a room which wasn’t so good I would have booked elsewhere. Room has 2 single iron framed beds, window in the bedroom & bathroom wouldn’t close, and a layer of dust on the carpet, also complimentary bottled water was provided but one bottle had been opened and only half full? Did anyone check this before letting the room?
The staff was friendly when you could find them.
I don't normally leave negative reviews, but unfortunately this was one of the worst hotel stays I've experienced. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, consisting of a very thin foam mattress on a rickety metal frame that shook and made loud creaking noises every time you moved. It genuinely felt like the frame was about to collapse, making it almost impossible to get a decent night's sleep. The room was also extremely hot, and the small fan provided barely worked. To make matters worse, the shower didn't turn on at all, and the toilet was leaking from the base, leaving standing water on the bathroom floor along with a noticeable mildew smell. We tried to find a member of staff to report these issues and ask for help, but no one could be found, so there was no opportunity to have the problems addressed. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because it advertised a pub where we planned to have dinner after our journey. Unfortunately, we discovered that no food was served on Sundays. While ordering Uber Eats wasn't the end of the world, this is something that should be made clear before guests book. I've travelled extensively throughout the UK and the USA for work and have stayed in countless budget hotels over the years. I don't expect luxury when paying budget prices, but I do expect a clean, functional room with a comfortable bed and basic facilities that work. Sadly, this hotel fell well below that standard. Our stay was so uncomfortable that we skipped breakfast and left as early as possible because we simply wanted to get out of there. I hope the management addresses these issues, as the property has the potential to provide a much better experience than the one we had.
Good location for heading to airport or Thorpe park. Free parking available.
The room we were given wasn’t pictured and we were very disappointed when we checked in. The room was very outdated, very hot to an uncomfortable level and had curtains that didn’t even cover the width of the window, no full length mirror and generally poor condition. There was no way we’d be able to sleep in this room due to the lack of curtains and heat. We spoke to the staff and had to pay for a room upgrade which was in much better condition and had air con fitted. However having paid for our initial room which was not featured on the site I felt it was misleading and a little unfair they didn’t offer any compensation!
Breakfast good
Room was old and tatty we were given a nice room to get ready for a family wedding in and then moved as far away as possible along with the laundry room to an old tatty room There were very loud buzzing noises all night from a marching down stairs or the dryer going shower was not clean A female member of staff was very helpful she was behind the bar the male member was grumpy
Location
Room size, extremely small room with limited space. The cleaning [dusting] was not good. Only 1 x very thin pillow which was useless.
It is a very welcoming place, where you can find kindness and hospitality. The room is very clean and comfortable
Staff were very friendly and food was good
bed in Room were terrible, the mattress sank below the wooden bed frame when sitting on bed, causing alot of discomfort pillows on bed where very thin and almost a waste of time, needs at least two pillows at least for this or at least the option
Breakfast was nice
When we arrived our room had been prepared but was dirty, but after speaking to the house keeper who had just come back to work , she came and completely cleaned our room . She made our break . Thank you
Location, staff and attention to detail.
Nothing
Exceptional value for money, breakfast and evening meal were was good. The roon was very clean and had everything we needed.
Nothing
Cosy room, welcoming, staff, convenient location
Staff were good. Bedding was clean. Location was good.
Room was too small for 2 single beds. Funny smell in room and decor wasn’t good. Felt a bit thrown together.
Very friendly staff, and accomodation atop a very nice pub with a beer garden. Perfectly situated for Heathrow airport
Breakfast was great and the staff made me a sandwich to take before 7am!!
Easy check in . Room basic amenities included . Breakfast was good . Good variety.
It wasn't mentioned in the information that rooms overlook the beer garden. Which may be disruptive on occasion. It was quiet we stayed a Monday night.
O ambiente clássico de um pub e a localização
O quarto e a limpeza
Breakfast and parking included. The breakfast was whatever I requested, and came very shortly after ordering, which was great as I had a plane to catch!
No air conditioning, and it was very hot. However, they did provide a fan in the room, which I appreciated.
Staff lovely very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was better sunday but good anyway ,coffee and tea available with juice and cereal and yogurt also fruit, husband had a pizza and it was very tasty,
Room basic but booked knowing this was the case however it was ,just a little tired looking and a little dusty.
Location was excellent.
Photos were of what looked like the more recently renovated part of hotel. Beds were like temporary beds. Room was not particularly clean - needed a good dust.
Very friendly team. Pretty location
All great
Clean and tidy
My room didn’t lock from inside
Reception staff were pleasant.
Room was extremely small, no space for clothes, four ill-matched hangars in a tiny open wardrobe about 60cm wide and hooks on door, one of which was broken. Towels a little worn. Found odd till receipt under bed and small screwed up paper ball on bathroom floor.
Bar and outside area was nice, evening meals were good, Bar staff were friendly and helpful. Parking available and location great.
Hotel areas were run down and dirty. Room was small and very hot (to be fair we were there in a heatwave but the fans provided had to be adjusted to work). Breakfast inconsistent, one day good the other day cold coffee and food.

Lovely place. Staff friendly and nice food.
Nothing really
A run down poorlymsnagedplace
Prepare to jump back in time decades before Travelodges and Premier Inns existed to the days of pubs with rooms. The floor plan might resemble the weird geometry of Fawlty Towers but with no Basil or Sybil, just very friendly and helpful staff. In summer, the front of the hotel is a riot of plants carefully tended hanging baskets. The real plus factor is the ease of finding the hotel from the M4, M25 and M40 in the green belt between Slough and London and the location is excellent for Legoland and Windsor. Yes, Heathrow is very close but you never hear any planes and he double glazing effectively shuts out even the traffic noise from rooms overlooking the main road.
Noisy plumbing added as an afterthought a century or more after the property was built.
All staff we met were exceptionally helpful, welcoming & friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The toilet & shower facilities were spotlessly clean and bedding & towels were also very clean. Really nice selection of complimentary biscuits & hot drink sachets aswell as a bottle of still water for each of us. Breakfast was a good choice of hot & cold options & was tasty. Location was great for our trip to Legoland and is situated in a nice quiet area with plenty of spaces to park. Overall was excellent value for money 😊
There was only one window that could be opened to let in fresh air & was very hot in our room or though a fan had been provided. Not really much can be done other than providing a fan for warm weather so we didnt complain. We requested extra pillows as only one each on the double bed and they were happily given to us. The mattress was a bit on the hard side for us.
Comfortable bed, nice size chalet room (number 16). Well positioned television. Staff were all welcoming and pleasant. Great location for London, Wisley and M25. Good value with great home cooked breakfast.
A few cobwebs in the room but otherwise clean. Staff were a little slow at replacing empty breakfast juice and drinking glasses, but did so as soon as we asked. A few more hooks in the bedroom would improve storage, behind the bathroom door and near the entrance maybe.
The wonderful girls in the bar on Saturday night and Sunday morning.
The room was very, very small and hot, not enough hanging space for outfit .
Check in was easy. Food was still being served.
Room was very hot even though the weather that day was not that warm - max was approx 17 degrees C that day. Lots of rubbish under bed. One room had lots of cigarette butts outside on window sill. We ordered food and I received the wrong food. The other guests were left with their food so they had to eat theirs. Mine only arrived when they had finished. Not acceptable. I booked this hotel as breakfast was early enough for our flight. When we went to the breakfast room I could get no answer until 10 minutes after the advertised start. The waitress was borderline rude. The 'vegetarian' breakfast was simply the english breakfast with no sausage, bacon or fried egg. I think that is false advertising. Anyone could order the 'full english' without the meat items. Breakfast was really not worth staying for. Tiny amounts of each item.
Friendly helpful staff. Restaurant on site.
Small room size.
Clean and comfortable Two fans had been provided to tackle the heat
Limited breakfast options for vegetarian and vegans
Room was very clean, staff were extremely friendly and helpful and accommodated our requests.
Our room was near the outdoor seating so was a bit noisy.
Useful location close to M4 and Iver station (Elizabeth Line)
Stuffy, cramped room. Hopeless breakfast.
Nice pub on the outskirts of town each to park right outside good reception and room fine we only used it as a stay over good breakfast
Breakfast food was ok, no bowls for cereal, no glasses for OJ just coffee mugs.
The room I had was very basic, could certainly do with an upgrade, paint, carpet wardrobe not a free standing rail, no bin, mirror, pillows. Sorry to be so negative but it's very dated. Think there were old towels there as well as hanging up and not folded. Wasn't that cheap nor was it expensive. Wouldn't stay there again
Comfortable stay & proximity to place of work
Great location for us as we were visiting family but we also had a wonderful day out at Cliveden National Trust the next day which was beautiful and only half an hr's drive away. The room was also perfectly clean.
The breakfast was cooked well although veggie options could have been a bit better for my partner as I did mention it before we came so a pack of veggie sausages wouldn't have gone amiss but we were happy with eggs on toast. Room was quite small but good value for money. It was also a bit warm but it was the hottest weekend of the year so far so I think that was just unfortunate timing. Staff did all they could to cool the room down as the window was open and there was a fan in the room so I think they did a great job in our unpredictable climate!
Lovely staff! And a great base for a trip to London for a football match. Rooms were small but perfect for one person, clean and comfortable
N/A
Food service and a big car park
The sleep bed is not comfortable, not friendly for the fat people like me
Location but hotel was awful
Small and cramped curtains hanging off in room bed had springs in my back and it was dirty
Location
Young guy very polite checked us in & showed us to our room, up fight of stairs & down narrow corridors with steps through lots of doors, passing what looked like nicer part of the pub until we got to were we were shown! Room 7 was NOT what was shown in any of the photos on your site. Carpets every where as we walked along never seen a hoover in years, our room bathroom maserator leaked every time we ran the tap & by the stains on the floors was an on going issue, every thing was old & looked like should of been at the tip! Metal bed frames from the 50’s camp bed style, no where to put anything beside them as both single beds were by a wall & bathroom door between. Bedding was clean but beds & pillow thin & so uncomfortable. Curtain pole was rusty. Arrived at breakfast at 7am to a very very rude waitress, no welcome just a demanding voice questioning why I was looking in the cereal basket! No apology & noticed by other quests, one of which a group of 4 who arrived 5min before 7am were told they would have to wait & not allowed to sit at a table! They are advertising for a chef & I would suggest they advertise for a trained waitress! I am noted for taking photos of everything except this occasion we had traveled from Plymouth, visited very elderly relatives to sort out various problems & checked in around 8pm very tired & just wanted to shower & got to sleep, which we did not! We were up at 5.30am by road noises & had to be left before 8am to arrive in Yorkshire for 12.30 & by contrast to another pub accommodation in total contrast, cleaner, friendly waitress & cheaper with out breakfast. I really feel you need to look at & into this accommodation as the 7 other guests all felt the same & like us it spoilt there whole experience with one group going to Ascot. We feel totally ripped off!
It has parking
Staff
The staff were really lovely with my 5 year old son.
The breakfast included, comfortable beds, friendly service.
Rooms were quite a bit smaller than expexted for two people.
Receptionist/barman was very helpful, friendly and polite. Couldn’t have asked for better.
The size of the room (very small and cramped) and standard of fixtures poor. Fittings required many minor repairs.
Clean rooms and proper English breakfast
The "superior room" was so small that it was even impossible to open my suitcase anywhere other than the bed. I had to crouch when crossing in front of the wall-mounted TV because the space between bed and wall was approximately one foot.
To be honest the only thing we liked was the evening meal. The staff were attentive and food was lovely and good value for money.
We didn't like the very very rude older lady that served us at breakfast. We were one minute early and she barked at us and was very rude. She said good morning to the other guest but ignored us. The breakfast was shocking, it was more of a kids sized breakfast. The egg was swimming in grease. No choice of white or brown bread. Plastic beakers for orange juice. It has greasy cafe vibes for breakfast. The room was shocking. Supposed to be a superior room with garden view. The view was of benches in the beer garden, to which you couldn't open you bedroom window due to the smell of smoke. The room should of bed a single room as not enough room to swing a cat. Nowhere to hang your clothes, No mattress or pillow protectors. The towels smelt dirty and where more suitable for a child rather than an adult. The beds looked like children's beds, uncomfortable and creaked at the slightest move. Mattresses have seen better days. Personally if you are looking to get your head down for the night then I guess it's fine but I wouldn't recommend it.
Great little pub/hotel
Booked a single room here for the night because I had to pick my daughter up early from Heathrow. Room was much nicer than it looks on the pictures, lovely decor, very clean, comfortable and quiet. Nice breakfast the next morning. Excellent value for money
Breakfast was excellent, staff were very pleasant
