Fairfield by Marriott Belitung

Location

Very disappointing experience, this did not feel like a Marriott property at all. We stayed in a Junior Suite, but the room was poorly maintained. We found cockroaches in both the bedroom and bathroom, while the sheets and towels looked yellow and far from fresh. Breakfast was also disappointing. The selection was poor, and I ended up eating mostly fruit and eggs every morning, which I do not mind, but we are talking about Marriott, I do not mind eating Indonesian food, but I mean the food could be better than what they served. Complimentary unfiltered coffee was only offered on the first day; when I asked for black coffee from the espresso machine, I was told to pay. I don’t mind paying for extras, but basic coffee should be part of breakfast. Our room was directly beneath the breakfast/lounge area, so every morning we were woken and disturbed by people dragging chairs and tables, especially at night when the staff prepared the breakfast area. There seemed to be no consideration for guests staying underneath. The biggest concern was the seafood all-you-can-eat dinner. Both of us suffered severe diarrhea afterward. When we asked whether the hotel had received similar complaints, we received no clear answer. The only response was an offer to speak with the chef. With cockroaches, questionable cleanliness, excessive noise, poor breakfast, and a concerning food experience, this was far below what I expect from a Marriott property. Management seriously needs to review its housekeeping, F&B, and guest-service standards.

Struttura pulita, camera comoda e grande. Noi abbiamo preso una vista mare. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Possibile mangiare in struttura. Ottima la colazione. Vicino alla città’, lato dell’isola ad ovest dove tramonta il sole, dall’albergo si vedono degli splendidi tramonti.

L’hotel è posizionato in una zona dell’isola soggetta alla bassa marea. La settimana in cui abbiamo soggiornato noi al mattino il mare si ritirava completamente, per trovare delle spiagge bisogna spostarsi con lo scooter verso nord per circa 20/25 minuti, detto questo le spiagge dell’isola non soggette alla marea sono spettacolari, un vero paradiso. L’hotel non ha la spiaggia, al mare si accede con una scaletta di cemento, , nessuna sdraio o lettino in zona mare, solo in zona piscina.

La ubicación, ya que es una isla en desarrollo y, muchos otros hoteles estaban alejados de todo. El staff súper agradable, especialmente Egi que me ayudó mucho y, la chica de recepción. Mi vuelo llegó muy temprano y por un precio adicional asequible pude alojarme en una habitación mejor y, desde muy temprano. Probablemente los mejores atardeceres que podrás ver en la isla fácilmente desde el hotel, el wifi era muy bueno, la televisión smart.

El desayuno está más pensado para el turista asiático. Ten en cuenta que hay muy pocas opciones de Grab o Gojek en la isla, si conduces motocicleta no tendrás problema, si deseas trasladarte usando apps, lo tendrás complicado.

Lovely hotel, staff were excellent, couldn't do enough for you. Clean rooms and serviced daily. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. All of the staff excelled but a special thank you to Rhesa for her friendly attitude, caring and happy smile. Would definitely stay here again.

This was our first trip to Belitung and we had several options to choose from for our lodging. We decided on Fairfield and were glad that we did! 1. Staff Every single one of them who attended to us were so friendly and attentive, from the receptionist to the kitchen staff who packed cooked food for us on the day we had to leave very early (4am) for check out. Every request made was attended to promptly and always with a sincere smile. They made you feel right at home. All of them were able to converse in English which made it really easy in terms of communication. 2. Location The connectivity to many of our places of interest was good! We didn't spend too long on the road. From the airport, it was less than a 30 minute drive. To the beautiful beaches, even less than that. There are some good eateries around, with the mini mart just a stone's throw away. As our flight was super early, we tried our luck and asked for an early check in. Thank you so much to the staff for being so accomodating! 3. Massage Please go for it if you have the time. Smooth and firm without causing any pain. 4. Breakfast was great. They serve delicious, freshly prepared juices (try the healthy juice - dark green with some tangy, refreshing citrus undertones), the spread of pastry is decent, there's a corner with all the chilled jamu concoctions. Their local kuihs are a must try. Not too sweet; it was just nice. 5. Facilities We didnt try the swimming pool but there's a direct access to the pool for rooms on the ground floor. Those with kids may wanna book those rooms. That's what I'll do when I return with my kiddos! The landscape is gorgeous with twinkling fairy lights in the evening. You can head out to the gazebo to look at the beautiful nightsky and enjoy the view of our beautiful stars. The lights are quite bright so you'll have to choose a good spot to see the stars. The room we were in was comfortable and the size was decent for 2 pax.

We requested a change of bath towels on the 2nd day. Though fragrant and warm indicating they were fresh from the laundromat, there were some brownish stains that were somewhat noticeable when we spread them out. The staff was quick to apologise for it when we informed them and had them replaced.

The hospitality, the staffs are very helpful and always smile. The lady at the reception (Rasya) is so kind and helpful. I can see someone who works with their heart, because she is so sincere.

The hairdryer, because its quite broken. The body soap because its too watery.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a fantastic stay at the Fairfield in Belitung. The staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and professional throughout my visit. Every morning I was greeted by name, which made me feel genuinely welcome and valued as a guest. The team were always helpful, accommodating, and happy to assist with any request. The hotel’s location is excellent, making it easy to explore the area, and the overall service was top-notch from start to finish. A big thank you to the entire team for making my stay so enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Belitung Island and would gladly stay here again.

The staff❣️In all my stays with hotels around the world, I’ve not met a team that is this joyous, authentic and helpful- nothing was beyond their enthusiasm to support! They seemed genuinely happy working with one another and collaborate to attend to the needs of the guests. Special shout-out to Jesika, Egi, Cynthia, Nora, Dimas, and the many others we encountered in our 4 days stay. Many thanks too to the 2 drivers that brought us to the beaches, and even stopping along the road for us to eat durians together. Breakfast spread was reasonable and satisfying, with the consistent smiles and easy conversation with the staff. Bbq dinner at the pool memorable, again because of the easy bantering with the staff (looking at you, young beautiful Jesika!) Our room overlooking the ocean afforded us a beautiful sunset every evening.

Not enough signages around the hotel to direct to pool, gym, lifts, exits- kept walking in wrong directions in 1st 2 days😅 Asian spread for breakfast good but the pastries offered are rather bland and dry.

Such a thoughtful and warm gesture immediately made us feel welcomed and valued. When we entered our room, we were genuinely touched by the beautiful birthday decorations prepared for my husband, who had just celebrated his birthday. The personalized welcome card from Cynthia, your Front Desk Manager, along with the birthday card signed by the staff, fruit plates, and cake, made the celebration incredibly special. Location was ok. Rooms are clean and furnitures are still new. Breakfast was awesome.Chef was really really good.He puts in effort to have small chats with guest. Overall staff for all departments are very well trained and exceeded my expectations

Just checked out and overall had a really nice stay. The staff were super friendly and quick to help with anything. My first room was humid, but they handled my request to move really fast, which I appreciated. Also left my husband’s charger behind and they quickly found it and brought it up to our room great service! Loved the sunset view, and breakfast was really good too!

I stayed in at the Fairfield by Marriott Belitung, in April 2026, for four nights and overall had a very pleasant experience. The hotel was clean and comfortable throughout my stay, which made it easy to relax after a busy day exploring. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. Breakfast was included, which was a nice bonus. While I personally found the breakfast options a bit limited, this may have simply come down to personal preference rather than an issue with the hotel itself. Overall, I had a good stay and would recommend this hotel to others looking for a comfortable and well-run place to stay in Belitung.

I had a wonderful stay at Fairfield Belitung for two nights with a friend. We stayed in a super cozy twin room with a clean bathroom and a lovely balcony overlooking the beach. The view was absolutely beautiful, especially in the early morning and at dawn. It made our stay feel extra special. All the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. I’d especially like to mention the receptionist (I didn’t catch her name, the one with long, slightly wavy hair), who was incredibly cheerful and warm. She made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The driver who picked us up from the airport was also great. Both of them helped us arrange car rental and plan our activities, which made everything so much easier. The location is very convenient. There’s a great café right in front of the hotel. Perfect if you love coffee like I do. A minimarket is just a short walk away, and there’s also a decent beachfront restaurant within walking distance. Plus, several local souvenir shops (toko oleh-oleh) are nearby, which is a nice bonus. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely love to come back.

One of the best places to stay during my time in Indonesia. The staff is amazing, incredibly friendly and attentive, especially big thank you to Rhesa, Gaby, Ferdy, Fina, Chyntia, Febri and to all young ladies working during the breakfast time. The breakfast buffet with mostly local food was very enjoyable and service at the breakfast was spot on. Ocean view room was spotlessly clean with great air-con and the water in the bathroom was hot and fantastic pressure. The location is excellent, with several cafés, restaurants, and a small supermarket nearby and close to the town centre. And I like the beautiful open lobby with traditional design.

실외 수영장이 크다.

아침식사 종류가 인도네시아식이고 음식별 간등이 맞지않아 마지막날에는 거의 먹지 않았다. 그리고 해변은 없다. 방파제가 있어 바다는 눈으로만 볼수 있다. 수영장외 물놀이 하려면 30분정도 북쪽으로 가야 해변이 있다. 바다 해변을 걷고 수영하는 것은 불가능하다.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Fairfield by Marriott Belitung. The hotel has a very strategic location with a beautiful beach view, especially during sunrise and sunset. The room was clean, comfortable, and equipped with facilities that met Marriott’s standards. The bed was extremely comfortable, which made my sleep quality excellent. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay—from check-in to check-out, everything went smoothly. Breakfast offered a good variety of local and international options, although the taste and range of hot dishes could still be improved. The swimming pool with an ocean view became one of the highlights of the stay. Public areas such as the lobby and restaurant also felt modern and cozy. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to business partners or friends visiting Belitung. I hope to return again on my next trip.

We came here for a family vacation. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were greeted with such genuine friendliness, and that warmth continued throughout our stay every time we met the staff anywhere on the property. The room and facilities were very clean, and the breakfast offered a good variety of dishes. Overall, it was a pleasant start to our trip and a wonderful experience for me and my family.

I stayed in room 637. The room was nice and clean, the air conditioning was cool, and the atmosphere was quiet. The breakfast was also delicious. The staff were very friendly. I will return to this hotel when I holiday on Belitung Island.

Super helpful and knowledgable Staff. From manager to front desk to engineering to restaurant crew were all hands-on and helpful. They even take time to remember guests not in a big group by name. They even esoecially made us local culinary icon “mie beliting” at breakfast after knowing we had not had the chance to taste it in town. Thank you very much Ferdy, for his attentiveness. Strategic location; only minutes drive from city center ( Satam Square) and many places to get food and coffee nearby. View from room is awesome especially at sunset. Clean and spacious rooms with plenty of amenities. I would suggest additional desk and/or seating in room, and also updating upholstery on restaurant chairs (they’re a bit run down); but these are minor and they don’t take away our great experience.

I stayed at Fairfield Belitung for 3 nights and really enjoyed the experience. The staff were welcoming, check-in was smooth, and my room was clean with a comfortable bed. I recommend booking an ocean-view room — the sunsets are stunning. Breakfast at Kava offers a nice mix of local and international dishes, and the pool area is a great spot to relax after exploring the island. The gym is well maintained and housekeeping kept everything tidy. Overall, a reliable and comfortable choice in Belitung. Perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful stay with good service

There were ants when i just arrived at the room from the connecting door to below the bed, but the staff right away came and cleaned it. I was also expecting to see the sea at the balcony, but since morning the sea has receded a lot

Mooi complex aan zee. Terras aan zee is prachtig bij zonsondergang en groot zwembad. Goede regendouche. Wij hadden een kamer met balkon en stapte zo vanaf balkon in zwembad, super comfortabel. Ontbijt was goed. Huur een scooter, het verkeer is rustig. Of maak een trip naar de eilanden in de omgeving.

Airport pickup heenweg vergeten, uur gewacht. Werd wel goedgemaakt met upgrade kamer.

The Front Office staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The star at the Front Desk was Gaby! After office she managed to rescheduled my flight, it was a long and painstaking process & she did! Kudos to this young lady, Gaby! I was impressed with her determination and dedication!! Fantastic job!!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place deserves it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fairfield by Marriott Belitung is so comfy that I started wondering if they’d let me permanently move in. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel like family—especially Mr. Arnawa and Mrs. Rhesa 🙏🏻. My room was spotless, cozy, and had everything I needed. The breakfast buffet? Super good! They serve Belitung specials every day, and some of them are surprisingly even better than the local spots. Kava Restaurant is honestly the best hotel restaurant I’ve ever tried. I fell in love with their Ikan Bakar Jimbaran and Soto Lamongan (and I usually don’t even like soto 👀). I even had the chance to meet some of the chefs—Chef Marta is such an amazing person 👌🏻. The location is another win: close to the beach, near the airport (with free airport transfer!), and easy to explore Belitung. But honestly, half the time I didn’t even want to leave the hotel because it’s just beautiful. If you get the chance, have dinner by the ocean here—it’s magical. If you’re visiting Belitung, trust me—book here. You’ll check in for a vacation and wishing you could stay forever.

Very nice hotel, the staff is wonderfull..we had a great experience also because of Puspita, Jessika and Novi and the rest of the staff who are very friendly and always smile and make you feel so welcome. Febry drive us around the island and he is also a super friendly guy that goes beyond..he showed us the right places , helped us buy the best Martabak and lifted our experience to the next level. The breakfast is very good and has enough variety. Dinner at the hotel is also good and very affordable. You can book daytrips at the front desk, I would for sre recomend the island hopping.If we ever go to Belitung again we will stay here again.

The most reliable hotel in town, and the breakfast was the best, and even thought the hotel dont have the access to the beach, the view was amazing, you need to drive 20 minutes away to north to go to Tanjung Tinggi as it the main destination in this island.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Management and staff were highly professional, with impressive attention to detail, while also being friendly and welcoming throughout. The room (with sea view), breakfast, and gardens were all maintained to a very high standard. The location is central, with easy access by car to several pristine beaches and jumping off points for island hopping.

Great staff, location, hospitality. Staff and service were great and friendly. We informed them of some issues during our stay and they reacted professionally and promptly.

Maintenance was a bit poor, the first room we stayed at had a beeping aircon. They moved us to another room which was ok but the ceiling needed a fresh coat of paint. The pool was dirty with dead bugs, they put pool towels on a rusty rack. During breakfast the server informed us they were out of eggs due to busy dinner service.

I choose this hotel than others cos the location is in the city. Great greeting from all the staff. Got room facing the ocean.the room quite small, look a little old but clean. The bath room also clean, but the amenties look poor. The breakfast also not like 4 stars hotel. The variant and the taste really need to be upgrade as the marriott bonvoi group hotel. Overall, for 2 nights stay is enough to get an experience at this city. Hotel location near Adena Ketam Isi that famous as a gift to bring.

In terms of manners and etiquette towards guests, all employees at the reception and restaurant waiters are very very good, except for the hotel security's attitude poor manners.... always maintain and improve the service to guests....
