Lovely cute place with great thai breakfast and close to sites. Friendly staff who helped us with arranging taxis for a trip to Ayutthaya and our onward journey. Very clean and comfortable.

Super location, welcoming host, great varied thaï breakfast

Lovely relaxing stay in a super family-run place in a great location. I looked at a lot of places to stay in BKK and many locations and settled on this in the end. I’m glad I did. A tip for finding it .. search for ‘Uncle and Friends’ which comes up easily. It’s a modern bar and restaurant. When you are there, either ask inside or walk two shops to the right when looking at it, then take the alley way to the left, it’s the second door on the right. I recommend Uncle and Friends in the evening, btw, they have two great vocalists with guitars on every night. It’s an easy walk to the river via the Khao San Road.

There was a small hole at the bottom of the door which made keeping the mosquitoes out quite difficult.

Ausgezeichnete Lage, um vieles zu Fuss zu besichtigen. Gleich um die Ecke gibt es am Morgen einen Markt. Die Leute im Hotel waren sehr freundlich und sympathisch. Das Frühstück war Thai und war während der ganzen Woche ausgezeichnet - nein, besser: ein Traum. Die Unterkunft hat nur wenige Zimmer, die Betreuung deshalb auch sehr persönlich und individuell. Es gibt einen Innenhof, wo es das Frühstück gibt. Ein sehr gepflegter, ruhiger Ort.

The host was really nice and she is really caring on you, our daughters were sad to leave her. She is also very helpful to give you advices and to help you booking taxis or boats. The lady helping her is also really kind and really caring as well. The place was wonderful : very charming and very quiet (the location is great : in the core of the city center, next to the palace and it is in the meantime really quiet, peaceful and fresh, you can rest quietly without the noise and the heat of the city). The breakfasts are delicious! In a word: it was great !

Location was fantastic, staff were very accommodating and friendly. Very willing to help you organise your trip, where to go and what to see. Breakfast was a highlight and the courtyard was a great place to relax and escape the bustling city.

Place was hard to find initially, our taxi from the airport couldn't find it! But it wasn't hard to find using google maps once we were nearby.

Diese Unterkunft ist sehr liebevoll ausgestattet. Auf kleinstem Raum und bis ins kleinste Detail sind wirklich alle nützlichen Dinge perfekt eingerichtet. Zudem gibt es im Preis inbegriffen ein wirklich tolles Frühstück. Man hat die Wahl zwischen einem thailändischen, amerikanischen, veganen oder vegetarischen Frühstück. Die Gastfrau ist sehr herzlich und ist bei Fragen immer erreichbar. Sie Unterkunft befindet sich mitten in der Altstadt - gute Lage.

We had a great time in Bangkok! The Green Teak House is a gem in center Bangkok. Very calm in a city full of noise. You can do just about everything by walking. The family is very nice and helpful. The Thai breakfast were amazing and our introduction to Thai cuisine. Thank you for receiving us!

Propriétaire et son fils ont été de bons conseils et très disponibles (plusieurs revues explicatives pour visiter et s’orienter). Emplacement idéal pour visiter les principaux monuments Petit déjeuner exceptionnel surtout le thaïlandais , variant chaque jour. Nous sommes restés 4 nuits et nous ne regrettons pas !! Nous conseillons fortement ce logement!!!

The place is small but very clean. It is very close to the centre but very quiet. It is like you step back in time. Staff is very friendly and polite. You have different types of breakfast to choose from, and the food is tasty. The place feels very safe. There is a front gate that is always locked, and you can open it with the key card you will get with check-in. I would definitely stay there again.

L'emplacement de la maison était super bien placé. L'accueil était chaleureux, individualisé et attentionné. Le petit déjeuner thaï était copieux avec du vrai jus d'orange pressé.

De vriendelijkheid en zorgzaamheid waren heel fijn. Het ontbijt was super! Alles home made! Het huis was een rustpunt middenin het oude gedeelte van een een drukke, maar fijne stad.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour au Green Teak House, où une famille au complet nous a accueillis comme des amis. Outre l’emplacement idéal, la magnifique vieille maison en teck, et une literie ultra confortable, la gentillesse de chacun des membres de cette famille nous a touché. Ils sont adorables, généreux, très gentils avec nos enfants à qui ils ont permis de jouer avec leur fillette dans la piscine de leur cour, pour faire face aux grosses chaleurs. Les deux chambres en elles même sont confortables et pleine de charme, excentrées de la rue principale ce qui en garantit la tranquillité, le quartier est vivant et proche des grands lieux touristiques du vieux centre. Nous reviendrons avec un grand plaisir, lors d’un prochain séjour à Bangkok. Merci encore.

This guesthouse is a calm clean oasis in the middle of an interesting bustling community. The Thai breakfast is great and comes with fruit & plenty of tea or coffee. It’s a 10 minute walk to the MRT Sam Yot station which is convenient if you don’t want to take taxis.

Our stay at Green Teak House was exceptional. The room is perfect for a family with comfy beds and a spacious bathroom, all spotlessly clean. This is more a home stay than a hotel due to the layout (rooms surrounding a courtyard with some used for accommodation) and the exceptional hosts who are amazing. They were extremely hospitable and friendly, and very kind - they allowed us late check in on arrival (Songkran traffic delay) and assisted us on leaving at 4:30am including providing a packed snack. They made recommendations on things to see close to the hotel and arranged transport for a floating market trip. The Thai breakfast is delicious, with awesome food and nice strong coffee. The location is great being close to many tourist spots as well as interesting food places (the dumpling restaurant by the hotel is good). This was the best stay we have had due to the hosts and their kindness and hospitality, and so I would like the thank and recommend them to anyone travelling to Bangkok.

Walls were very thin, so any sort of noise from neighbouring rooms at night was quite disturbing. But I have heard the house is undergoing reconstruction now, so this may no longer be relevant.

A serene location with large rooms and an excellent breakfast catered to our dietary preferences. The staff were very attentive and caring, even getting up before the crack of dawn to see us off when we had an early flight. We loved it here and wish we had booked this place on our way back of our Thailand tour too.

Extraordinary american breakfast! Very nice place, a hidden gem in the neighbourhood. Everything was very close, a lot of must see places in 10-20min by foot. Very welcoming hostess! We were greeted warmly and presented with a lot of information about the city, places to visit, got some useful hints. It seems that we actually were the only guests during our 4 night stay, and the staff was super attentive and helpful to all our requests. The beautiful inner yard, two pretty parrots chirping, and some nice music created a very peaceful, cozy and isolated environment while remaining right in the heart of the old centre. Will recommend this anytime and return there without hesitation!

Fabulous location, comfortable room just like being in a home. Quiet down a small side alley away from the noisy road. The staff were fabulous, we even were able to book airport taxi from there and we given a snack pack for the plane as we missed breakfast

The Green Teak House is an old house, nicely renovated while preserving the old style. It is very clean. Breakfast was very good, as was the staff service. The location is good for those wishing to visit the Grand Palace and the Golden Mountain.

We loved the place! It has its charm, unlike the majority of big hotels. Courtyard is cozy and full of sweet details. The room was modest but spotless clean and comfortable. The hostess is helpful, warm and speaks good English. Royal palace is 10 min walk. For big shopping or big park walking you'll need taxi (5-6km)

Tucked away the green teak house was perfect for our 1 night stay. Staff were so kind and friendly. Rooms clean and beds comfortable.

Absolutely loved it here. First time staying in old Bangkok. Momma GT made us so welcome and breakfast was a treat. We walked to the Palace, Wat Pho and river. Really fantastic place to stay and the local temple (Giant Swing) was a stunning relief from the crowds of the Grand Palace.

- The lady managing the place is very helpful and kind. She is very comfortable with English - Breakfast in the morning was great. You can choose the type of food. We chose Thai food and the lady was preparing delicious dishes, also explaining to us those dishes - the courte at the center of the hotell, right in front of our room, was a very nice place to get breakfast - During the night it is very calm. you can sleep very well - the air conditioning was good, you could tune it in a soft mode so that it is very comfortable and you don't get cold - you find a too hot duvet in the bed, for the temperature. If you like to sleep covered with a sheet that is appropriate for the temperature, it might be not good to have either a very hot duvet or nothing at all. However, we just removed the duvet from the duvet cover and we just slept with the cover, which was ok.

- no fridge in the room. there is a common fridge, from where you can take bottles of water (and you can pay them by leaving money). but a fridge inside the room would have been helpful to store private stuff - some light from the day penetrates in the room. if you need perfect obscurity, bring your mask (we did no, and it was good) - not clear, at the moment of booking, what room you'll get, if it is in the 1st floor or at the ground floor (or maybe we did not understand). we got a room in the ground floor, which was however ok

Perfect location in central Bangkok, a warm and welcoming host, a delicious breakfast. It is the perfect place to explore the city and also to retreat from it when you need to rest.

Ach and her staff were very friendly and shared with us the significance of the Teak House for her family. It was a family home and this made it feel very special and authentically Thai. The home cooked breakfast was delicious and we loved that we could just walk out to the street and visit the temple, enjoy great food and soak up the street atmosphere. The room was very small however for one night stay, it was fine and this made it a unique experience. The Teakhouse was nestled in a lovely backstreet that was quiet and secure. Thank you Ach.

Green Teak House is a hidden gem in bustling Bangkok. It is quiet, peaceful, beautiful, and comfortable. There are 3 rooms, soft cotton sheets, cold AC, and an outstanding breakfast including fried rice, stir fried pork, and a huge plate of fruit (we ordered the Thai breakfast). The host will go out of her way to make your stay exceptional, including buying a baby pool for my kids to help us cool off after a day exploring! The location is great being within walking distance to Khoa San, Jay Fai, and the Imperial Palace/Wat Po, while maintaining a quiet neighborhood feel. We highly recommend this place!!

The room was warm and welcoming, so we immediately felt at home for our time in n Bangkok. The owner was super friendly and helpful and made delicious Thai breakfasts for us each morning. Loved our time here and enthusiastically recommend this guesthouse.

The house is so charming. You can really relax and enjoy the yard in a place of peace in the caos of the town. The room was perfect so nice and clean. And don't forget to taste the thay breakfast because is really a wonderful experience!

I liked that It is located in a busy area within walking distance of Sam Yot MRT. However, once inside the guesthouse gate all is very peaceful & clean. I also liked the Thai breakfast which is really tasty.

Fantastic little home stay experience right in the centre of old town Bangkok. A tranquil oasis in the chaos of the city. Easy to get to metro / bus / river to see attractions. Room was quaint - bed firm but surprisingly comfy - slept really well. Breakfast was lovely, both Thai and American. Staff at Green Teak are great cannot fault the place - down a little back street amongst the locals. Fabulous- would definitely stay again.

Wonderful authentic Thai Teak House, with tranquil central courtyard, located on a quiet side street. We stayed in a lovely room with our own private balcony, accessed by a spiral staircase. Breakfast was freshly prepared with options to meet everyone's preferences. The location was great, close to major temples, markets and other attractions. Host was very welcoming and so helpful. Returning to the quiet, relaxing atmosphere at the Green Teak House after a busy day in Bangkok was the best. Would definitely stay there again.
