A lovely old hotel. Our room was very spacious. Very generous breakfast.
Sehr schön und gemütlich eingerichtetes Hotel in einem entzückenden Dorf
Bad war bei Ankunft etwas verschmutzt, Strasse zum Parkplatz hat grosse Schlaglöcher
The whole of our stay was very good indeed. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant, our room was very big and very comfortable, and the breakfast was lovely.
Really this was great value for money and there is nothing we didn't like.
Such a comfortable hotel, there was nothing to complain about. The beds and bedding excellent and staff delightful.
A little noisy outside the hotel, late evening revellers returning from a nearby pub I guess. They moved on quickly thankfully
I stayed here to MTB . The staff kindly let me store my bike in the dining room overnight as they had no real facilities to hold expensive bikes
It’s a a classic Scottish hotel hunting shooting fishing .. I’ve been vegan for 10 gears so feels a little weirde still celebrating death .Thatvsaid it had one of the best Vegan options I’ve seen in a while
Charming local village hotel, lovely bar area, lovely staff welcome
Slightly small rooms
Stayed here for a wedding. Room was lovely, hotel staff very helpful and let us check in early!
The shower was a bit poor pressure but otherwise bathroom was lovely and clean!
Beautiful accommodation
Nothing
Great hotel with lovely staff.
We couldn't have breakfast on any of the three morning as it started too late for us.
Mysigt
Lovely hotel in a cute little town Great cosy bar area with a good selection of drinks. We had a really good meal in the hotel restaurant in the evening. Our room was bright airy and very comfortable. We had the window open all night, and it was really peaceful.. Added bonus wad every member of staff was welcoming and friendly.
Nothing to dislike
Excellent location for Comrie and the surrounding area. The staff provide a great welcome and great service. The room was comfortable. The food was very good.
We liked the atmosphere, the friendly and efficient staff, the decor, the food and location.
A larger bathroom shelf is all I can think of.
Hotel was very clean and tidy and the rooms were clean and well furnished. Food and restaurant area were clean and tidy too. Overall a pleasant few nights!
I cant really find anything negative worth mentioning
Great location. Super staff
Nice Location
Would benefit frkm.walk in shower
Exceptional residents lounge. Food in the cosy lounge bar was very good. Everyone was very welcoming
My room rate was quite high and it didn’t include breakfast. I think the rate should have included breakfast.
Location great
The bathroom needed abit of TLC
Great location in the centre of Comrie. Given a good trip for a circular walk around Comrie which was really enjoyable. Good size room with 4 poster bed
Main hotel was having work done on the floors so quite a bit of disruption to space and limited hotel facilities. Wi-Fi in room was poor.
Excellent

Friendly, professional staff, good location, nice food and atmosphere
Little pricy, can hear everything from the room, little storage in the room, cleanliness could be improved
Friendly helpful staff. Comfy bed. Great food. I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and it always lures me back. As a solo guest, I really appreciate friendly helpful staff. The food is excellent.
Though our room was smaller than expected, it was comfortable and, in the end, we didn't need it to be any bigger. Everything else was amazing. Drinks and dinner by the fire in the main bar, drinks and games in the library, yummy breakfast in the dining room. The staff were wonderful! We will be back - can't wait for our next visit...
A wonderful place in the countryside to spend some comfortable and relaxed days. The staff is very attentive and friendly. You have the choice for lunch and dinner whether you prefer the traditional and cosy bar or the restaurant. The menu is varied and the quality of the food is excellent.
We were in Comrie for a funeral which the hotel did all the catering for. Lovely, friendly staff and excellent facilities. Recommended.
All good.
The Royal is a traditionally furnished hotel, with a Scottish hunting scene ambience. The room was comfortable, with plenty of hot water & tea/coffee supplies & a kettle.
There were a lot of extra cushions/pillows on the bed, which look great but it's difficult to find somewhere in the room to put them when you want to go to bed! The breakfast was extra to the room rate, with a basic fee for the continental option & more for a cooked breakfast. Unfortunately there were no gluten free cereals, the only GF continental option was toast, so we had to choose the cooked breakfast. This was unusual for our experience of Scottish hotels on this trip, most places now have some sort of gluten free cereal option.
Breakfast and dining rooms were wrong way round - the evening dining room was more like a coffee shop and the breakfast room was the more formal setting.
We had a great short stay at the Royal. The staff were wonderful - responsive, professional and accommodating, and just lovely, warm and genuine people. We were offered a travel cot for our baby without even asking. The hotel itself is very pleasant, the room was large enough, spotlessly clean, and had all the basic amenities for our trip. The breakfast was exceptionally tasty. There is a lovely vibe about the place overall.
Comfortable spacious room & great location
Room rates and breakfast expensive
This was our second stay at the Royal. The staff were very friendly, and the meals are fabulous (we had dinner and breakfast there.) It is a very quaint little town, with some lovely walks nearby. Would stay again.
My teenage daughter didn't love seeing the animals on the wall, or stuffed animals on display. However, understand this is part of the history of the area/hotel.
Beautifully appointed hotel, friendly helpful staff. Comfortable rooms with great beds and lots of hot water. The library was such a lovely room to relax and have a drink in.
Nothing!
A lovely traditional Scottish hotel
Bequeme Betten, schön ausgestattetes Zimmer, gemütlicher Lounge. Sehr gutes Essen im Restaurant.
Every time we come back to the Royal, it never ceases to disappoint. The staff are the people who make this such a special and charming hotel. The warmest of welcomes and we were so well taken care of. Attentive and polite customer services, similar to that of Ashford Castle, that seems to be lost in many establishments these days. The only complaint we had, was that the bedroom was cold even with the small radiator up to its maximum temperature, and the fires had not been lit in the bar area or the library. (It was 5 degrees outside). The reason given was the chimneys hadn’t been swept. So bring jumpers and warm pyjammas! Overall, though, I would always recommend this charming hotel, situated in the heart of glorious Perthshire. Food was great, good wines, board games in the library. Just please have the fires lit, as would be expected in an old coach house, and to compliment the warm welcome that was given by the staff. The room was immaculate. And beautifully decorated. (Room 4- a twin) Other restaurant to book within 5 minutes walk of the hotel, is the Deil’s Inn, and also the Deil’s Cauldron walk can be done easily from the hotel. Lots of lovely local shops and cafes within 2 minute walk. And if you are going to any events at Crieff Hydro, but would prefer the old style charm of a place, go to The Royal in Comrie, an easy drive to and from any events in Crieff. Long live the Royal Hotel and all those who work there! Thank you for your kind hospitality.
The girl at reception was straight forward in her dealings with us ,which was refreshing.

The Royal Hotel was a wonderful traditional Scottish hotel perfect for a visit with friends from Australia. It was stylish and very comfortable with a warm welcome from staff. The breakfast and dinner were both very enjoyable.
Can’t think of anything not to like!
Spaciousness of hotel with a variety of areas to sit and relax. Excellent breakfast
Room was quite small but perfectly adequate for a short stay
All was as expected and was a very good standard. Loved lunch in the garden. Great food and location. Will go again in winter to experience cosy lounges and open fires.
There was nothing we did not like.
We liked how quiet and friendly the atmosphere was
Stayed here for a wedding. Comfy room and staff were lovely.
Beautifully decorated, super comfortable, great food, really kind and helpful staff.
Internet was weak. Otherwise, 10 stars!
Super bed en top personeel, heerlijk ontbijt.
Loved the ambiance, extremely comfortable. Located in gorgeous Perthshire town of Comrie.
Wonderful hidden gem. Beautifully restored, with multiple quality dining options on site. A lot of character, and in one of the nicest villages you'll ever visit. Crazily good price when I booked (for July). On second thoughts, stay away. Don't spoil it. It's too good for the likes of you. ;-)
Fantastic hotel - very cosy, comfortable bar and lounge, good choice of whiskey , board games too at the bar
staff were fantastic
The staff were so welcoming.
