We had a great overnight stay at Pala Resort. The rooms are large and wonderful with excellent bathrooms. The casino was fun and lively. Everything is always so clean and fresh at Pala.
The Pala Casino Hotel is in a beautiful area, and the property itself is really nice. The rooms and lobby were very clean, and everything smelled amazing the moment you walked in. The lobby is especially pretty and fun to walk around. The outdoor patio area is a great spot to sit and relax. Even though the pool was closed for winter, it was still really pretty to see, especially with the lit trees at night. It added to the overall peaceful atmosphere. Staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Overall, a great place to unwind and enjoy the surroundings.
During my recent visit to the casino, I was upgraded to an exclusive suite. However, upon my arrival, I discovered that the suite was in a state of disarray. The sheets were soiled, with a significant amount of hair, including what appeared to be used condoms. The bathroom was also contaminated with an unknown substance. Despite requesting that the room be cleaned, the situation persisted. Even the adjacent room was found to be in a similar state of disarray. I subsequently requested that the suite be thoroughly cleaned, but the sheets remained soiled. After witnessing these conditions, I decided to check out in the middle of the night and departed the establishment. The hotel staff apologized for the inconvenience caused.
We booked this hotel as my brother had passed away, and we were visiting family in Temecula last week/weekend. Pechanga was sold out (even midweek), and I can see why they have more business. My husband has worked our entire marriage in Hotel Ops/GM/VP capacities for Tribal Casinos, so it really pains me to write this. The stay was average based on room cleanliness, decor, and a great waiter we had the first night; otherwise, I'd say book elsewhere. First, it's incredibly odd that you can't book directly online. Being in hotel management myself, that means they are paying an OTA like Expedia a fee for my business, so when I called to get rates, I did NOT expect them to be $300 more for the same dates, same room type, within 10 minutes of checking Expedia had I booked at the hotel over the phone. I obviously booked on Expedia because no one in their right mind is going to pay $300 more to book over the phone. When we checked in, we were asked if we would want daily stay-over service during our stay, to which we said yes. The room was nice and clean. That night we ate at Bar Meets Grill and had a waiter who had been with them for over 15 years. He was wonderful, but unfortunately, I don't remember his name other than he mentioned he had worked in the Reno/Tahoe market prior (he was probably the nicest, most impactful employee we met during our stay). We had surprisingly good pizza there, which I would recommend. The next day, we went out for the morning and returned around lunchtime to see the room hadn't been serviced yet. When I inquired at the desk, as I had a 1 pm meeting, I was told we would be getting it tomorrow. I explained that I had been told it was daily, and my husband confirmed that. I was rudely told I could get a restock of towels and that would be it. Again, being in hotel management, I know they are capable of sending housekeeping to service the room, and honestly, I shouldn't have to ask if two of us confirmed that was what we were told. I asked for a supervisor and was told there wasn't one. The thing is, I knew the girl standing next to the clerk who was on the phone was a supervisor, as I had spoken to her earlier in the morning when I asked why the rates were $300 higher when I tried to call (to which she didn't have a good answer). I obviously called the clerk out on that, and suddenly she was available and we would be getting service during our stay. Here's my issue with the entire stay....It's remote, so you are obviously booking because you either gamble or you are visiting someone local. It's not right off the freeway, and you have to want to travel a windy road to get to it. We booked because we had local family, were aware of the road, and wanted to gamble when not with family. They could have easily converted our business so we would book in the future. No one made any contact with us despite registering for cards and letting the desk know we were visiting from out of state due to a death and that we typically play in Oklahoma. No one went above and beyond other except the waiter in service. The front desk clearly doesn't know what to do or how to act if you aren't in on a comp, which is probably why their occupancy is so low on the mid-week, and Pechanga was sold out. They are certainly making their money off the locals and the comp/gaming business because they seem to care less about anyone else, and that's unfortunate. We had decent play, but it's clear they probably need to reevaluate their hotel management model.
Great hotel experience. I live about 20 min away, but had to be here early next morning for a conference. Stay has been great. Check in was great, customer service was great. Fridge in room was t working, and it took about 10min to get it looked at and taken care of. Service gentlemen was amazing, friendly, and solution minded. Parking was a snap, and all else was great. Great place for a quick getaway. I’ll definitely be back.
I chose this hotel due to the advertisement of so many pools and we had children ith us. Once we arrived after check-in we were told no kids in the pool, adults only. Then after further questioning we were told 21 and over . This is not in the description of the hotel and it should be, we had to find things for the kids to do which cost us more but we paid more for the hotel thinking they had a pool to play in. Also we were told no spa amenities would be available to us either, it was closed down. The hotel itself is clean and secluded, so that's great if that is what you are looking for.
The whole casino smelled like smoke
I will NEVER usethem again! I have used expedia many times aand have had 2 bad experiences and lost too much money. No and they loss if . Thay are msking this review impossible!$$$$makmoreeathem
Property was fine. Food service was terrible. No to go orders without sitting down and no room service. Wasted a lot of time waiting around for food to take to the room. In one instance the order was wrong after waiting 45 minutes. I was told my food took longer because they were prioritizing other customers who were dining I . Which doesn’t make any sense because they made me sit down in
Pala Casino is a beautiful place! As soon as you walk in, it has a WOW factor. The room was well cleaned and the staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was nice and firm with soft and fluffy pillows. I would have liked a little bit more water pressure in the shower but hey, that's just my preference. The casino has smoking and non smoking sections to try your luck and many food options.
The
Would like to see more restaurant options open 24 hours
Everything was close other than Casinos. I went there to use the gym and pool and it was close.
Nice and cool A/C everybody who assisted us was lovely and helpful. Can not wait to stay here again. Rooms were clean, modern, and well appointed. The included water and coffee were greatly appreciated.
Everything good
Had a great stay for a wedding weekend. Staff was friendly, room was VERY spacious. Dining options were great, it’s a little bit of a drive out on a twisty road just FYI. I’d stay again!
Lovely place to gamble and stay. Room are spacious and the pool area is breath taking.
Too much smoking in the casino. Need larger non smoking area. When walking around the casino my eyes burned from the smoke and the air was not very breathable.
Beds were comfortable and the rooms were very clean! We enjoyed the live music and the bartenders were very friendly. Noodles restaurant was delicious!
Great time all around
Everything was great, rooms were clean, staff was very accommodating, i liked the variety of restraunts. Only bad side was that gym and spa were closed pool was also closed, only open on weekends.
Staff were not acc
Very comfortable
It was nice, employees were nive but just didnt like that they close everything so early.
Overall, the hotel was awesome. I couldn’t say much of the casino other than the fact that from last year we went to this year this year the overwhelming of smoke in the casino was too much.
Not enough dining options. Also, food quality not good. Pool area was closed during the week
Very happy.
Everything was great clean fresh just wonderful stay

Everything was good. However, the second night we stayed, our keys weren’t working and we had to go back down to the receptionist to get our keys reactivated. The receptionist said that the keys were only programmed for one night. The receptionist was polite and fixed it for us.
This hotel shuts down many services during the week. The pool was closed, higher rooms were not available. We tried several times to get a manager to help and were told the housekeeping manager was not working. Everything was back to normal for the weekend crowd. Very disappointing, we will not be back.
Very easy parking, comfortable beds, and safe with security around. Front desk staff was not friendly, the pool closes at 7PM on a Saturday and closing all around soon for fall. The food was horrible. It was a place to stay, but probably the last time. It was not like how it used to be.
Very clean room and hotel. My friends and I were surprised how big the room was. The pool was great too :)
Everyone is nice and friendly the staff
Casino area needs a better ventilation system.
Very nice casino! We loved that they had an area in the casino that was non smoking! Also many many dining options was a plus!
The room was very spacious and lots of storage for clothes and miscellaneous
Clean room and bathroom. Need night lighting in the bathroom.
We had a great experience and the staff was excellent . The room was very comfortable and spotless . The mountain views are one of the main reasons we love Pala . We ate at Bar meets Grill and The Pala Cafe and they were awesome .
I thought this was a more modern resort, it turns out it's very old and out of date. All the slots are very old, not much to choose from to eat.
Very clean and staff great.
This place is a total ripoff. TL;DR: no hot shower water, no pool during the "winter", terrible restaurant hours, broken fridge, reeks of smoke. We booked for a wedding several months before the actual date. One week before, they emailed us and said the pool was going to be closed for "winter hours". This place is literally in the desert in Southern California. It was literally 90 degrees outside. We planned to stay a couple extra days to enjoy this weather in the pool, so when we shortened our vacation, they only refunded $32. The last day we were there, they closed the pool for "reports of lightning", which was a complete lie. NOAA did not have any electrical activity anywhere near us. Not only that, we ate at one of their restaurants the first night and put our leftovers in the fridge. Found out the next day the fridge was broken and ruined our food. No apology or anything. But the worst part: when we were trying to get ready for the wedding we flew half way across the country to attend, there was NO HOT WATER. Not from the shower or the sink. It was barely room temperature.
Was a great weekend getaway.
Excellent stay nice rooms .
Great stay

The Pala is the cleanest, most friendly casino / resort i have ever stayed. Five stars across the board.
We stayed overnight for my friend's birthday. The rooms are large and wonderful. They have big bathrooms with a separate shower and tub. All the employees are very professional and friendly. We had lots of fun and some good luck in the casino. It's a great place.
It was fine. Bed was too soft for our comfort. Toilet paper and “Kleenex” tissues were poor quality. Appreciated the coffee bar and the bottled waters. Really disliked that we had to walk through a smoking section in the casino to get to the restaurants! Not the hotel’s fault, but it did affect the enjoyment of our stay.
I thought the room was very clean and huge. Valet was great and friendly check in was easy and fast. The only thing that I was not happy about was that we were there for three nights and I called for room service, once. No one ever answered. I called three times and then I even told them at the front desk no one ever came and I asked for towels three times and no one ever brought them. I had to go out and get them in the hallway from one of the cleaning ladies. I was there for 3 nights and only for clean towels once and that’s because I had to go get them. I called front desk, called housekeeping and no answer and even told them at the front desk on my way to the casino. I know that your policy that you will only do room service if you’re there for three nights or more and you have to ask for it which I did and then never happened.
We booked a room 6 months in advance for a wedding we were attending and paid in full. When we checked in, we were told that the room we reserved was no longer available because rooms were on a first come basis. We were not notified that the pool was closed weekdays for the season despite the fact that its still 90 degrees out. Additionally, we had no hot water for half of our stay. I wasn't expecting luxury, but for almost $300 a night it was terrible. Stay at Harrahs instead.
The rooms were a great size and very comfortable. Great service.
Shower took too long to warm up, if at all.
Na
Pala is a lovely Casino & hotel, clean, modern & friendly staff,
Clean enviroment
Staff was good. Food was not good. Rooms are OK
Great place, very close . Staff was great
Restaurants were opened very limited hours. We traveled to the area for a wedding so a number of extended family was looking forward to gathering. We gathered at the pool bar and were asked to leave at 7pm as they were closing the bar. We tried to move to the sports bar but were told it was only open Friday through Sunday. Very limited hours on all of the bars and restaurants.
Nice place very clean and service was excellent
Clean room, helpful staff, excellent service, many dining choices, comfortable bed. The only drawback was the cigarette smell around the casino and dining areas.
Love it The staff was super nice!
Its a very peaceful place
nice hotel well kepy
Good time
Beautiful nature surrounded and nice staffs
The air throughout the hotel was smokie
Nice staff made you feel welcomed, clean rooms very nice resort. I Will definitely be coming Back in the future. Fun place good restaurants.
We enjoyed how clean the room was. Check in lady very nice. All bartenders were cool. We did not like smoking in casino, we were a bit shocked about that. Bartops and machines were not clean enough ashes on machines..pretty disgusting. However, nice casino, employee very nice and helpful. Fun time.
It was great
Liked no roughness very calming
The entire hotel smelled horrible like smoke cigarette smoke cigar smoke. I smelled all different types of animals pets. It was awful and I know I never would have stayed there. The hotel was absolutely way too expensive to be experiencing this type of discomfort. Also, I was on the eighth floor and for two consecutive days. The lobby on the eighth floor was full of trash. I complained to the front desk and only the day that I checked out, did they clean it?
It was awesome
Beautiful facilities - absolute worst hospitality experience ever. Where do I begin???? Who ever is managing this place needs to be fired. The communications within the team absolutely suck, at check in no one mentioned that you need nor ASKED if the guests in the room should be added to the reservation. Even after adding my husband to the room I wasn’t told he had NO charging to the room privileges . He would go to pay and I’d have to go up and show my Id at each transaction . Had dinner in sports book area. 25 min. before server even came to table. Then another twenty to get the drinks. After ordering dinner We kept seeing pizzas go by and they weren’t on the menu. When our server came by she said that when we were seated by the hostess they should have given us a pizza supplement menu. We never got. After over 1 1/4 hrs of waiting finally saw our server and asked her to check on our food. She came back 10min later and it should be shortly. Then after another 10 she came back and said our order was next. Order finally came 1.45hrs later. Then they forgot the ceviche and said they forgot to make it. I lost it she asked if we still wanted it. I said they still need to eat. My brother shared his burger so the other person would have something to eat. When the ceviche came out it was the worst thing I ever ate and my item was missing an ingredient listed in the description. They took it off and I left NO tip as they was not an F but a complete sh$$ show .
First time I have ever posted on a stay, but quite honestly, this place was the most disrespectful, non-friendly, brutally untrained hotel staff I have ever encountered. The automatic answer is NO, there are no smiles or help, only reasons they can't help you. Housekeeping was additional, need ID's even with a bracelet, and the management team made it clear you should be lucky to be here. The Pool Team (once past the Machiavellian check in stand) were by far the class of the operation, especially Chase and Kellan, and the dinner at Anila's was truly delicious. I would absolutely tell everyone thinking about staying here to look at Pechanga, Pala Mesa or anywhere downtown Temecula. Absolute horrific experience for $300 a night rooms...could be a gem, instead attitude and lack of customer service make it insanely overrated.
Half of restaurants were closed and Noodles was awful!! Such as overcooked dumplings and undercooked broccoli. The cash out kiosks were all down and a number of slot machines would not take tickets. The coffee shop a very poor selection of pastries and mist looked out dated There was no store where you could get snacks or drinks to take to your room and NO room service. Whole experience was just disappointing and expensive!!!
Came for the concert, Stayed overnight for the convenience. The room was big qnd beautiful. Rally appreciated the tub and seperate shower. The view from the room was great. The staff was welcoming.
We stayed there while attending one of the concerts. Check in/check out process was quick, easy and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Parking was free and the room was nice and very clean. We enjoyed staying here and will definitely return in the future!
Staff is very nice. Spa is closed but the pool area is beautiful. The pool is not always open so check before booking your stay the hours of operation.
Great service especially by front desk Pineda. Welcoming and friendly.
The Jacuzi
Stayed there for a concert with my girlfriends, large room, nice and clean. A $35 fee to check in two hours early is ridiculous, I’ve never in my life had to pay a fee for checking in early.
Clean room, restaurant was really good.
Check in was very easy and the rooms were spacious and very clean and modernized. Easy access to food and good choices. Beverages at the pool were good and service was excellent!
Nice quiet fun..staff friendliness 7/10
Pool was amazing, like that it’s Salt water not chlorine & had a great time @ the Yachtley Crew show!! 🎶
Room was exceptionally clean. The restaurant wait staff was exceptional!
A quick one night stay for a wedding in the local area (Friday night to Saturday). Called to ask for early check in and was told there was no early check ins and to ask upon arrival. Arrived a 3pm, one hour before the 4pm check in time (on a Friday). Wedding was at 4:30pm, hence a need to get in early, at least one hour. Waited in line to check in as there were only two representatives working (there were six computer stations). Thankfully, a room was available. As I departed the desk, the line was even longer as others had to wait. Room was big. The bed was comfortable. The casino was smokey (very smokey). Pool area is nice. Should add or change the menu. No breakfast burritos or quesadillas. Wine selection at the pool needs attention. Overall, the stay fit our needs but wouldn't necessarily stay again.
Very clean room. Great place for overnight stay.
Great views
Liked pool, customer service
Amazing nice little get away from home and no kids
Love this hotel. Casino, restaurants. Truly had the best time
Having a work truck and being a hotel guest , I had to park across the casino hoping Tools didn’t get stolen because valet wasn’t open and the casino isn’t responsible for theft
The front desk staff were unfriendly. Upon check-in we were asked if we wanted our room cleaned the next day and we said yes. After being gone all day, we came back and it had not been cleaned.
I like the mountains in the background and the casino and fair pleasant first time here so far I’m enjoying it. Thank you for asking. Goodbye for now first time using Expedia it certainly meanwhile thank you
Always fun to go to Pala.
