Reviewed Oct 13, 2024Great staff and property. Our trip was for our 5 year anniversary and my birthday. The dinner was excellent, staff was very helpful and friendly, and the food was delicious.

Reviewed Mar 30, 2022Great location at the top of the mountain. Mountain view suite had fantastic view on the canyon with 2 balconies. Size was great and included super size bathtub in sitting room (? 😀 ?) Hotel pool in the garden also has beautiful view and offers for a nice swim.

Reviewed Dec 19, 2021Amazing stay at Sama Hotel which is located beside Anatara but on higher ground and at a fraction of Anatara’s price. Great view from the room.

Reviewed Nov 27, 2021Good value accommodation on the Sayq plateau. Rooms clean and functional and a nice, new coffee shop has been added to the main foyer. Water pressure is low and the complementary breakfast is pretty limited

Reviewed Jun 27, 2021A good mid-price hotel option when staying on the Sayq plateau. The views of the neighbouring Anantara hotel at a fraction of the price. Comfortable, functional room and the restaurant is reasonably priced.

Reviewed Mar 30, 2019Great hotel! pros: Outdoor heated swimming pool. Amazing views to the canyon. It has a nice area for children to play. Great customer service, the lady in the reception showed without being asked all the things to visit around, how to get there, really good service. There is a gym on the top where you can do exercise while watching the canyon. The room facilities were good, it felt luxurious and useful, the balcony is perfect for watching the sunset. Cons: The buffet is expensive and quality of food is just ok. The area has no public transport, so be prepare to either rent a 4x4 car or take a taxi, it's not a problem of the hotel is just there is no public transport in the mountains area (as of March 2019).

Reviewed Mar 2, 2019The hotel is about 20 kms from Nizwa in the mountains. You need a 4WD to get there and it takes about 1h1/2. Once there the view is wonderful, sunsets are beautiful and there is a heated swimming pool.
