Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Nice rooms, good food, nice views, and wonderful staff. Very nice vibe!
I liked the helpful staff.
The restaurant prices were a bit high.
Everything
I think meals were a little pricey
The scenery was amazing, mount washington entrance is right there, the staff was very friendly, the restaurant was great... just all the things.
There isn't much other than the mountains nearby. Shop in town before heading to the hotel. Also there is only a mini fridge in the rooms.
I had thought that I booked a room with a balcony view of the mountains but after entering the room realized I had no balcony, the excellent woman who checked me in offered a free upgrade to a balcony room and it made all the difference being able to sit outside with that view is amazing although you can do the same from the very nice fire pit area also. The bar was excellent with a very friendly bartender and the food was excellent best of all was the cannoli for dessert. The trails behind the property are excellent, clearly marked and the map we got from the front desk was very good.
While the two breakfasts we had were very good the wait for service and food was excessive even with very few other diners.
One of the best meals of my life. Gorgeous wine. The proprietors went out of their way to provide a wonderful experience.
Absolutely beautiful

This hotel was beautiful! Great location and the rooms were very comfortable. The value was great and the whole hotel was very clean! The staff was always pleasant and ready to assist with any questions that we had. The Grille onsite was delicious but a little pricey, but you pay for convenience so I wouldn't take it as a negative.
Really nicely surprised at how updated and clean it is. Very friendly bartender and hostess. Excellent Old Fashioneds!! Room/bathrrom clean. Outdoor patio was awesome. Nice firepit. Great location for our next morning climb. Away from the center of N. Conway.
Tout. C'est un endroit parfait, bien situé, incroyablement confortable. Le personnel est super gentil et la brunch délicieux. Pour nous ca a été un des meilleurs hôtels que nous avons eu aux États-Unis !
Rien. Tout nous a paru excellent.
Everything was perfect.. and the view was breathtaking!

Beautiful hotel and location. Picturesque scenery. We loved sitting out on the deck with the fire overlooking the mountains. It just relaxes you after a day of sightseeing, hiking or other local activities. The staff were wonderful and welcoming. The pool needed chemical adjustments on our visit and was closed for safety but the front desk made sure to keep my daughter informed of when it was safe to go in. They gave other means of entertainment as well and just went above and beyond anyone expectations. The Notch Grille provided great food and was convenient. Eating there allowed us to sit while looking at the mountains. We have stayed at this hotel many times and will be back in the future.
My husband and I found it to be perfect for our stay. We liked the restaurant and the room. Not really close to alot of attractions but we would diffently stay there again.
Need to add a few more electric car charging charging stations. We very much appreciate that service and would not object to paying for it.
Very nice hotel. They have the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!! The black bean burger at dinner was fabulous. Breakfast service was a bit slow, but the meal was good.
The Glen House is a beautiful property at the foot of the mountains. The staff was exceptionally nice and everything from our room to 24 hour coffee and tea service in the lobby, fire pit area and food was wonderful.
Great location esp if you are going to the DRIVE up to the NH Mount Washington Summit. 1) Driving to the summit vs taking the cog railway gives you the opportunity to spend more time than the train (didn't realize this, and didn't have the opportunity to drive up but would like to - also the drive is not free) Hotel is NOT hear the cog railway, 40 min drive. 2) Hotel has discounts to the Summit road 3) Very clean, room was spotless, bathroom seemed updated and all around very comfortable. 4) Pretty firepit and bar area modern yet country style. Didn't get to eat there so cannot comment on the food 5) Parking very easy, right next to the hotel, check in simple, only thing is I would have an exit sign where the elevator is on the 3rd fl -- the exit sign is in the hallway, but next to a room. The elevators were about 1' past the sign. I work with OSHA standards and this was something I noticed 6) Staff friendly, courteous and on point with any questions we had. 7) Free coffee/tea all day 8) Free parking however there is the $20 per room per day "facilities fee" but alot of places charge this now for wi-fi, property etc. 9) grounds immaculate 10) Would stay again and go for the mountain view and/or balcony ~ beautiful!!
Everyone was very nice but resturant service was slow. Cant beat the location for Mt. Washington. Room was lovely and very clean. Didnt use the indoor pool but looked very clean. Room refresh seemed to happen without every feeling in the way.
Wunderschöne Unterkunft direkt am Mount Washington, sehr sauber, deutlich über den Erwartungen
Gar nichts
Wonderful hotel...beautiful location and extremely clean. Even a non mountain view room had a great view of the mountains. The back deck with the firepit has a picture perfect view and I can only imagine how beautiful foliage would be here. We did not eat at the restaurant but it has gotten really good reviews. My only thing is the bar closed at 9 pm..it would have been great to be open until 10. And the pool was nice and a beautiful view but a bit chilly and on the smaller side. Would have loved a hot tub. The beds were very comfortable...I would come back in a heartbeat!
I was extremely disappointed with our stay at The Glen Hotel. We chose this property because it is advertised as family-friendly, but unfortunately, that was not our experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were being watched simply because we had children with us. Our kids were doing what children do—they laughed, played, and enjoyed themselves. At times they were louder in the pool, but they were simply playing. We understand hotels have rules, and whenever staff asked us to make adjustments, we did so immediately. We respected every request and continued to supervise our children to meet the hotel’s expectations. The one positive interaction we had was with the day manager, who politely explained that if we were sitting on the deck attached to the pool while our children were swimming, we should prop the door open so we could hear them. He was respectful, and we immediately followed his request. Unfortunately, the most frustrating experience occurred around 10:00 p.m. while we were quietly sitting around the outdoor fire. We respected quiet hours, our children were already in their room for the night, and the adults were quietly enjoying the fire. A front desk staff member approached us and said, “It’s time for bed,” and told us we needed to go to our room immediately. We felt as though we were being spoken to like children rather than treated as paying adult guests. The restaurant staff were the one bright spot, providing warm and welcoming service. While we understand and respect hotel rules, our experience did not reflect the family-friendly atmosphere that was advertised, and we left feeling disappointed.
Scenery: 10 Food and beverage offered: 9 Overly Strict Rules: 2 The pool closes at 10:00 pm, so the kids were immediately evacuated from the area. The bar also closes at 10:00 pm and we were ushered out of the lobby and the outside fire pit area. Our party had 10 guests and we were made to vacate the overall public areas before we were ready to stop socializing. We were made to feel as though we were children and forced to go to bed. We are responsible adults, but were abruptly and (borderline) rudely ushered to our rooms.
Lovely hotel and kind staff. Very clean and comfortable beds. Beautiful location. Only negative was the food in the restaurant was expensive and not great. I had the buttermilk chicken tenders they the chicken was unseasoned and the breading was floury.
We found The Glen House on Hotels.com and chose it for the location. From the moment we walked through the door until the time we left, the staff was friendly, courteous, and professional. The entire staff was fantastic, but we have to give a shout out to Brittany in the lounge. She found out it was our honeymoon and had Champagne sent to the room. The hotel is beautiful and the view is tremendous. Thank you Glen house!!
I'm not a big reviewer, but felt compelled given how pleasant of a stay I had. The hotel is new and clean, the staff is pleasant, the grounds including hiking trails behind the hotel are unique and the food at the restaurant was way better than expected. Excellent!
Una excelente vista a las montañas y muy buena ubicación
Beautiful location with mountain views. The Great Glen Trails were great for walking/running and really enjoyed the back patio mountain views. The food was delicious and upscale, and our room was spacious, modern and comfortable.
Excellent service from when you walk in the door. Extremely clean spectacular views and trails. Have been to this hotel many times. Thank you!!!
The facility is extremely nice and clean. The restaurant is awesome. The staff is phenomenal. Would highly recommend and would go back
The view was spectacular. Really enjoyed the pool.
Stayed at The Glen House for 2 nights. What a clean, friendly hotel. The room was so nice and clean. The view from our balcony was beautiful. Everyone was so friendly and helpful especially Mia our bartender. She was so full of great information about the area. We will definitely be back to stay again. Thank you to all the staff for making g our stay so enjoyable!!!!!
Cleanest hotel I’ve ever seen!
Location
No free breakfast
Ben the general manager was so unbelievably generous and kind ! My two daughters, granddaughter and I went away for a girls trip before our newest grandbaby arrives. The hotel was set back in such a beautiful peaceful setting that we truly enjoyed our time together. Thank you for an amazing Venue for our timeaway.
Geen uitschieters, gewoon goed.
Was hotel in berggebied en vooral geschikt voor hickers of fietstouristen.
You are welcomed to a fantastic view in the lobby when you arrive. The rooms are clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable. The food was underwhelming though. This is the best place to stay for easy access to the mountain road going to Mount Washington. There is a toll and at the time we went it was $36 per person. We thought it was worth it.
Location, terrace with a view, great food for breakfast, lunch and dinner
The Glen House is the perfect place to stay in the White Mountains. Great location to travel the area, on site restaurant, warm pool and extremely friendly staff. Rooms are well appointed and bed is comfortable. No complaints at all!
Wonderful staff, very friendly, small menu in restaurant, but delicious with very good service. Rooms are well appointed, clean, with a wonderful view, if you get a room facing the back of the hotel. A fire pit in the back with plenty of outdoor seating is a definite plus, especially with that view! The hotel bar has floor to ceiling views of the Presidential Range, Mount Washington.
Really enjoyed our stay at the Glen House Hotel. I booked through a third-party site and check-in was still super easy. The staff was friendly and really helpful. The warm chocolate chip cookies at check-in were such a nice touch! The bed was also surprisingly comfortable - always a win when staying at a hotel. The views are absolutely beautiful, there was plenty of parking, and everything just felt easy and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful views of mountains. Comfortable and clean room. Restaurant food was very good with generous portions. Nice grounds and patio to enjoy the out doors.
My husband and I had an exceptional stay at The Glen House. The check in was smooth. The lobby is warm and inviting. Everything from the carpet to ceiling looked brand new. Our room had a balcony that provided a beautiful view of Mt Washington. The room was very clean. The beds were firm yet comfortable. The sheets were very soft and silky to the touch. The hospitality was excellent. We loved the fact that there are hiking trails starting from right outside the lobby. The Notch grill offered delicious food that was fresh. Absolutely no complaints. Highly recommend this hotel. We will be back.
Excellent dog friendly experience. The perfect getaway for my service dog and I. The entire staff was extremely helpful.
Great location , amazing view of the mountains, lots of hiking trails around. Good food at the restaurant. Everything was very clean and well maintained.
Please add sauna, the pool area was a bit cold , sauna would be a perfect fit.
Great spot in the white mountains. Beautiful views. Hiking, biking and cross country skiing on the property. Nice restaurant and bar onsite. Indoor pool. Electric car chargers
Clerk at the check in rather rude. Sheets don’t smell fresh but moldy. Maybe you should use bleach to wash them? We waited 1h for dinner. When it finally arrived the meat was uncooked. Chewy and raw inside beef bits, undercooked meatballs. We returned the beef bits. Rather disappointing experience for the price.
An amazing stay once again! Thank you!! Everyone was so friendly and were always open to our special requests at the restaurant especially.
A return visit for us. Just as wonderful as I remembered. The staff is so nice, and the food is delicious. Beautiful mountain views.
Good expérience and location, site is beautiful, and good food. The personnel is very friendly. I am sur to come another time.
This was my second stay at the Glen House. I enjoy coming here for the location of the White Mountains. The view is amazing from the lobby and the room. I recommend breakfast/dinner at the Notch Grille as the food and service is excellent. It is the perfect place to go for a much needed relaxing weekend.
What a great place to relax with a great view. Friendly staff, great service and great restaurant. Best coffee martinis. It was great meeting their mascot Boon as well.
Reception from Yvette was excellent Room was ok
Breakfast service and check out not up to par
The experience probably depends on the time in the year when you stay. My day was April 2nd and it was not that good overall...reception good (yvette), but food service and departure leave much room for improvement.
Staffs were very friendly and caring. The view was breathtaking. Our room was spacious and clean. Loved every minute of our stay. Can’t wait to be back!
The hotel is beautiful. Loved the lounge area with views of the mountains. Room was very cozy. The bed was soooo comfortable and those sheets are the best ive ever slept on! The delicious warm chocolate chip cookie was an unexpected nice treat!
I really can't think of anything.
Amazing views, even though it snowed and was foggy 😕 Decent food at the restaurant, very friendly staff, clean, relaxing
The pillow was too big lol
Always a great time staying at this lovely hotel. We enjoy the views, the ambiance and the proximity to skiing. Restaurant and pool are great as well. Looking forward to returning.
Beautiful location, clean, great staff, food, and atmosphere! You should go, lots to do in the area if you like being outdoors. We recommend driving the Auto Road as well :-)
Hotel was clean and well situated near Wildcat Mt, nice view from room. Breakfast food was fine but service left a lot to be desired, since we’ve rarely experienced such dismissive and negative service.
The location was worth every penny! And this was in winter! Our son was climbing Mt. Washington, so we had front row seats from the hotel!!! Gorgeous views and lovely staff and restaurant. Close to so many things! Can’t wait to go back in the fall!!!
I had hoped for a continental breakfast, but was so excited for the location of the hotel, I didn’t even pay attention to all amenities…. I had also hoped for a hot tub. The pool area was nice, but would have been better with something hot to soak in for old bones! 😅
This stay at the Glen House was exceptional. I traveled with two dogs and the package for dogs was the best I have ever received! The room was comfortable and the view was beautiful. We only had time to stay one night, but we will return for any adventures we may have in the Whites. The only thing that we’d recommend for improvement is the coffee. It was a little off, but we are also acknowledging that we are fussy. This place is amazing and the staff was fantastic and friendly.
The hotel is amazing. Location is worth the value alone. The scenery that surrounds you is breathtaking. The price isn't bad either. Highly recommend.
Very beautiful inside and out, very relaxing atmosphere. We did have the best breakfast there, the home fries are amazing, there's a beautiful fireplace where you can sit and relax. The facility is super clean and staff is friendly
Stayed for a night with kids when skiing at Wildcat. Superb value for money. Nothing super-fancy but everything executed so well. Very dog-friendly and accommodating, great staff, much better food than expected (particularly breakfast), excellent beds, spotless and well-kept. Zero complaints.
Very nice place. It's only a few years old, and everything looks "new." Aside frm that, the food was good, the music was good, and all staff was friendly and helpful. Only about 4 minutes from Wildcat, and a beautiful firepit outside that warms you up! Dog friendly to boot!
the highlight is the lounge. great setting, fantastic view and good drinks. the live music on sat was entertaining. Large clean rooms. can get to XC trails by walking out side door. Pay for a mountain view from your room.
This place is amazing. My ONLY criticism is that there is no hot tub. After a day of skiing a hot tub would be amazing. Views, rooms, lounge are all top notch for the price.
The view from the lounge was outstanding mountains right there! Also, in the lounge, while enjoying our cocktails, there was a musician named Carlos who was very entertaining! Fun little doggie goodie bag in the room. Only thing missing was Hot tub in the pool area.
$50.00 charge for expendables. You do get it back if no purchases are made. No microwave in the room.
We loved our stay at Glen House. We traveled with our dog Fred who was pampered, our room was completely clean (most dog friendly rooms elsewhere are not so much) comfortable, and the staff was friendly and attentive. We all slept great, it was quiet, the food was delicious, and we ended up extending our stay we were having such a good time. Being able to use the trails, spend time by the fire pit, and snuggle up in our room with our pup meant the world to us. We all had the best trip and can’t wait to come back!
Fire outside and restaurant
Pricey but overall worth it
Great hotel located in the beautiful White Mountains. We recently enjoyed the adjacent cross country ski trails. The ambiance is nice and friendly. The food is decent, a tad pricey but convenient.
Beautiful location, best XC skiing anywhere, nice hotel. Only downside is that the breakfasts are like a mediocre diner -- greasy potatoes, etc.
We booked the Glen House on a non-refundable cyber Tuesday travel deal. Overall our stay was nice, but the weather was freezing (below 0) and very windy which made it much too cold to go cross country skiing or any other outdoor activities. There really isn't much else to do in the area as most stores and restaurants within driving distance were closed on Mondays & Tuesdays. I would not recommend a mid-week stay unless the weather is good for outdoor activities. The food in the tavern was good, but limited choices. The room was basic, but was clean and comfortable with a beautiful mountain view.
Fantastic experience! Super friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable room, excellent bar/restaurant. Will be back again soon,
Absolutely FABULOUS !!, Extremely friendly and attentive staff, EXCELLENT FOOD !!, Gorgeous views, CLEAN & Quiet !! We met many guests who have been coming for years, these folks do a great job. We'll be back....
Top Service und gutes Essen!
Clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff, gorgeous location, bike passes, we loved it!
The views are beautiful and it is a good base from which to go hiking/walking.
I was disappointed that the Glen House did not live up to the images I had seen. The main bar/lounge area really lacked atmosphere and the lighting was poor. The dining room was a very dull and uninviting space and sadly the weather had turned and it wasn’t warm enough to eat outside. Images we had seen saw guests sitting round a firepit but when we enquired when it might be lit we were informed that it was broken! The mountain view in the bedroom was not to be seen as the shrubs had been allowed to grow up and obscure the view (photo below). They really need cutting back as the room is a dimly lit space with a very small window foe the size of room. There was room for two armchairs but only one was provided. Please note the room did not have a safe; that’s a first in any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Some of the staff worked very hard at the hotel and seemed to be taking the burden for others who were lacking.
We had very great experience here. Stayed for two nights and love it here every minute. Beautiful views to mountains. Will return here for sure.
We had a great stay short but sweet. The view is beautiful. The hotel is quaint and suited us perfectly. We were about 30 minutes to Santa's village and closer to Wild Cat skiing. We will be back.
My family loves the Glen House! We've been coming to this hotel for 5 years now with our two young kids and it never disappoints! The views are spectacular and the staff is top notch! The facility is always super clean.
We are regular guest at the hotel, we stayed there almost since it opened and we had good experience. The year with new management and staff it felt different somehow than before and we were disappointed with the changes in the general management.
We had a wonderful stay at The Glen House. The hotel has a great location and the staff are wonderful. The hotel is a fantastic value and we highly recommend staying here and skiing at Great Glen Trails, located just outside the hotel door!
The views are incredible
Pool was great. Would be nice to have a hot tub
