Ojud från disco i närheten svärt att sov gäller rummet på 3:e våningen.

Vi bodde i ett separat hus som tillhörde hotellet. Rummets storlek var helt ok med eget litet badrum med dusch och toalett.. Kylskåp och pentry fanns. Eftersom vi var ett sällskap hade vi också tillgång till ett allrum och även en fantastisk uteplats med utsikt över Skiathos hamn och vidder.

Mycket dålig frukost som inte serverades som buffe` utan en kvinna kom fram och ställde fram bröd som var stenhårt,kakor,kaffe eller te. Vi fick grekisk yoghurt i små skålar och ibland frukt till. Vi hade en tidig båt och önskade få lite frukost i en medhavd matpack men det gick inte trots att personal var på plats. Huset var mycket dåligt isolerat så det var mycket ljud från disco från barer och restauranger långt fram på morgonen ibland till klockan 3.

Wir haben nur eine Nacht hier verbracht und hatten daher ein einfaches Zimmer gebucht. Auf unserer Terrasse waren unzählige Katzen, die unter anderem unseren Tisch als Katzenklo nutzen. Das Zimmer gleich neben der Rezeption hatte ein bequemes Bett und Im Zimmer war es sauber. Die Badezimmertür konnte man nicht schließen und es war sehr laut aufgrund der Nähe zur Rezeption. Das Frühstück war okay, es gibt nicht genügend Platz für alle Gäste, sodass viele auf einen Sitzplatz warten mussten Wir würden dieses Hotel nicht nochmal buchen.

Lovely stay in Skiathos, welcoming staff, comfortable and clean accommodation, amazing views from the apartment, fantastic breakfast and close to lots of restaurants and the town.

The sound of the music from a couple of bars can be heard in some of apartment rooms late at night.

I arrived from the airport on foot. The hotel is tricky to find and when I arrived was told that my room was double booked. The manageress arranged a taxi to a new hotel. That's the reason for 2 not 1 star.

We were worried by some terrible reviews mentioning cat vomit and lack of hygiene. This is not what we experienced at all. We had a lovely welcome from Fofi who gave us a good restaurant recommendation. There were a lot of cats on the steps to the hotel but not inside. It's like staying in an old family home. Our room was spotless with excellent bedside reading lights and we liked the balcony and fridge. Breakfast was very good.

This was the perfect place to stay for a night on the way to Skopelos because you can walk down to the ferry in 15 minutes. There was nothing we didn't like.

La gentilezza della proprietà. A causa del periodo allucinante a Skiathos, cioè agosto, la camera nell'albergo non era disponibile. Così mi hanno accompagnato in un'altra struttura di loro proprietà in centro e mi hanno offerto la colazione per il giorno dopo. Ho fatto solo una notte.

Siccome l'albergo è sulla via centrale c'è stato caos durante la notte e ho dovuto usare i tappi per le orecchie per dormire. Non è colpa dell'albergo...Skiathos Town in Agosto è un delirio.

The location is excellent, 2-3 minutes walk to the center of town where all the action takes place. The room was nice, and so were the public areas. The owner was nice and friendly.

The bathroom was really a shame - very poorly maintained, and small (if you are a larger person, you won't fit in...). There was a broken glass shelf under the mirror, so there was no place to put ones stuff on; we mentioned this to the owner but it wasn't fixed. The shower curtain is unpleasant to touch; it is too long, so one would step on it; also, it isn't attached well to the wall, so we had to re-attach it from time to time. We went out of soap/shampoo twice, yet it wasn't refilled - I had to go down and ask for extra soap/shampoo. The public areas didn't smell good.

We were upgraded from a double room to a two double bedroom town house over three floors just o er the road from the Hotel. A truly amazing property in an elevated position overlooking the harbour and port. The large terraces were well equipped and very traditional.

Not a criticism of the property but the music from the bars at night is quite loud. In our case this went on till 2 - 3 AM!

Colazione buonissima e super ricca. Staff molto gentile e disponibile. Bellissimi i gatti nel cortile.

La posizione è abbastanza ripida da raggiungere, quindi attenzione con i bagagli (ma comunque fattibile). La nostra camera era un po' vecchia, soprattutto il bagno però per un paio di notti va più che bene.

L’albergo si trova sul porto vecchio, in alto. Fofi la proprietaria è una persona squisita, eravamo in 6 e ci ha fatto soggiornare in un bellissimo appartamento, distaccato dal corpo centrale, con un terrazzo con una vista meravigliosa sul porto. L’appartamento è arredato divinamente. La colazione, abbondante e buonissima, viene servita nel salone dell’hotel, con ampia scelta di dolce e salato. Grazie

E' un ritorno ai vecchi tempi, sia per la struttura che per la gentilezza sempre piu difficile da trovare. Pulizia, ottima accoglienza e colazione abbondante. Per arrivarci si attraversano stradine caratteristiche. In pochi minuti sei nel cuore della città. Cosa importantissima nel piccolo cortile ti accogliera' l'atmosfera zen di tanti amorevoli gatti.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed here and is always my first choice when visiting Skiathos. The accommodation was amazing, and Fofi and the Lady working along side her (didn't get her name unfortunately) were both lovely! Can't wait to visit again!

We stayed at the apartment. There was an amazing, outstanding view of Skiathos old port from the terrace. Location is amazing. Friendly host. Very clean. If we go to the island again, we would definetely stay there.

Mi e' piaciuta l arredamento ma la posizione dell albergo scomodissima per noi che avevamo valigie e zaini.Non si puo' arrivare che a piedi dal porto.Avrei preferito qualcosa di piu comodo.La proprietaria si e' preoccupata di metterci un po di colazione nel frigo perche andavamo via presto la mattina

Gatti fuori della casa dappertutto.Va bene che sono tipici ma troppi.Secondo me c era anche un po di odore di gatto dentro la casa.

Handfatet gick inte att använda under hela vistelsen pga stopp som åtgärdades först vid utcheckning. En katt bajsade varje natt på balkongen vilket gjorde att den kunde nyttjas först efter städning. Vi tyckte det var skäligt med en prisreduktion på grund av dessa förhållanden men fick till svar att om vi inte betalade fullt pris omedelbart så skulle polis kontaktas! Det var ett väldigt otrevligt bemötande av ägaren. Det luktade även mycket rök i frukostrummet vilket vare sig vi eller barnen uppskattade.

В описі не співпадає інформація: 1. «Номер-студія делюкс» це не номер на території отеля Мато, а окрема квартира на сусідній вулиці. 2. Інтернету немає зовсім (навіть роутеру), хоча в описі включено. 3. Не очікуйте вид на море з вікна, як на застарілих фото в описі - реальне фото виду з вікна додаю. Неприємно було приймати душ, стоячи по щиколотку у воді- бо каналізація не стікає і стоїть потім ще півгодини… Речі - купальники, рушники прийшлось сушити на стільцях. Є кавові капсули-але немає куди їх вставляти. Ліжко і розкладний диван пора поміняти- досить продавлені. Ну і найбільша неприємність те, що електропостачання б‘є током коли торкаєшся рукой каструлі, яка на ней стоїть. Добре, що ночували лише 2 ночі. Не рекомендую

The owner was so friendly and helpful from the minute we walked in. Loved how much character the accommodation had. Very close to everything - walking distance.

I think it should be communicated that you could not reach the accommodation by car...it was quite a difficult walk with all our suitcases along a route we followed on Google Maps. The owner showed us a quicker route when we left...still an upward walk that was not easy with suitcases.

Abbiamo scelto questa struttura confidando negli standard qualitativi garantiti da Booking, ma il soggiorno è stato ben al di sotto di quanto ci aspettassimo. L’aspetto peggiore è stato il fortissimo odore di gatto, urina ed escrementi di gatto presente in tutta la struttura. Sul balcone l’odore era talmente intenso da provocare nausea e rendere impossibile rimanervi anche solo pochi minuti. Di conseguenza non abbiamo potuto utilizzare il balcone né tenere aperte le porte-finestre per arieggiare la camera. Il mio compagno è allergico ai gatti e questo ha reso la situazione ancora più spiacevole. Il bagno è cieco e la ventola di aspirazione non funziona, per cui non esiste alcun ricambio d’aria. Inoltre, il bagno versa in condizioni di manutenzione e igiene inaccettabili: sigillature annerite e deteriorate, sporco e incrostazioni, accessori mancanti e un generale stato di incuria, come documentato dalle fotografie. Anche la sala comune presenta un persistente odore di fumo, mentre il balcone è di fatto inutilizzabile perché le poltrone sono completamente sfondate. Non si tratta di semplici difetti estetici, ma di problemi che incidono direttamente sull’igiene, sulla salubrità degli ambienti e sulla possibilità di godere del soggiorno.

La colazione era ricca.

Il patio all'ingresso ha qualcosa da migliorare. L'aria condizionata nella sala colazioni è troppo forte e fredda, purtroppo non si può fare colazione all'esterno.

1- we arrived at the agreed before time. there was no one at the reception. We called and the woman told us to wait for 2 hours because we've arrived later than she expected us (so it was our fault she wasn't at the reception). 2 - we stayed in the villa. There was an old, wet towel behind the bathroom door, and we found a child's drawing in one of the rooms. How do they clean? 3 - one bedroom is on the 1st floor with a window onto the street with a constant traffic of people and bikes and parties until at least 3 am. (We had our flight next morning, so you can imagine how well rested we were). The second bedroom is on the 3rd floor. You can get there through a balcony with a very poor safety bars and the stairway without the bars at all. I slept in the 2nd room and heard all the parties of the whole Skiathos, I think. 4 - everything on the balcony is dirty and old. They couldn't even renew the paint of the table and to clean it - it looked as though they had brought it from a landfill. I was afraid to touch anything in the apartment. 5 - in the bathroom to the second bedroom on the 3rd floor there is no place to place your towels or clean clothes. I had to take a shower and go back to the room to dry myself and get the clothes. 6 - sunrise is directly at the door (with a window),so your room is lit up with plenty of the sunshine at 5 am (after all parties finished at 3 am) and reflected off the mirror on the opposite from the door wall, so you could not turn your head away from the light. 7- I won't mention anything of the cats, because other people have already done this The only positive thing is a beautiful view from the balcony. I do not recommend this place and I don't see what we have paid for 350 Eur per night. This place has to be shut down.

Este hotel tiene difícil acceso por calle empedradas en cuesta. Mi mujer se cayó al llegar y no nos dieron opción a devolución, siendo 3 noches. Esta además vetusto y sucio.

La struttura è molto bella e particolare, arredata con gusto in stile vintage. La proprietaria Fofi è stata molto gentile accogliente e disponibile. La colazione è abbondante e molto buona. Unica cosa negativa è l’odore pungente dovuto alla presenza dei molti gatti.

If you have suitcases, the location is challenging to get to. We had to cancel our return stay and was charged however we understand the rules.

L’hotel ha una reception molto particolare, ricorda una baita o una casa si campagna. La nostra camera era molto ampia, con un angolo salotto e un bel terrazzino con vista che dominava il paese. L’aria condizionata trovata già accesa in camera è stato un bel plus tornando dal mare dopo una giornata afosa. La signora è stata molto gentile ad anticiparci la colazione, visto che avevamo il volo di rientro presto. C’è un cortiletto molto scenografico, con gatto che sonnecchiano, perfetto per qualche foto

Purtroppo ci siamo rimaste solo una notte, c’è stato vento molto forte, gli infissi non chiudevano bene e sbattevano. Comunque mi rendo conto che è una circostanza molto particolare

Die Aussicht kommt sehr auf das Zimmer an. Für Katzen Allergiker absolut ungeeignet. Es gibt hier mindestens 20 sehr friedliche Katzen.

La colazione era abbondante, varia e super saporita. C'era di tutto dalle marmellate fatte in casa, miele, cornettini, dolcetti, torte casalinghe, frutta, yogurt, noci, corn flakes, latte e caffè, uova ed anche i toast. Tutto saporito e di qualità. Sebbene l'Hotel è un po' retro', ma ha camere rimodernate, possiede tutti confort che necessitano e alla fine ti senti a casa, coccolato. Il nostro soggiorno è stato perfetto grazie soprattutto alla disponibilità, cortesia, simpatia e professionalità di FOFI e della sua collaboratrice che sono state gentilissime. La posizione è strategica perchè è al centro e veramente ad 1 minuto dal porto vecchio dove c'è vita e divertimento ma non avverti il trambusto, quindi anche quando rientri sei tranquillo. Lo consiglio vivamente!!

There is a smell of cats outside, not inside. We were warned about this. Hard work getting up the steps from the port with luggage. Accommodation a little dated. For the price a bit of an update needed, wouldn't mind if price was lower.

Dieses kleine Hotel in der Altstadt von Skiathos ist etwas Besonderes. Die Lage ist perfekt – mitten im historischen Zentrum, mit vielen Restaurants und kleinen Geschäften direkt um die Ecke (da es mitten in der Altstadt liegt, ist es allerdings auch nicht mit dem Auto zu erreichen, unser Taxi hat uns ca. 100 m vom Hotel entfernt abgesetzt). Unser Zimmer war geräumig und sauber und hatte einen schönen Balkon zum Eingangshof des Hotels. Was das Hotel aber so besonders macht, sind die Atmosphäre und die Gastgeberin: Man hat das Gefühl, in einem Privathaus aus der Jahrhundertwende zu Gast zu sein – dunkle Holzmöbel, getäfelte Wände, viele private Fotos und Erinnerungen. Und die Gastgeberin gibt einem auch das Gefühl, ein persönlicher Gast und kein Hotelkunde zu sein. Sie war vom ersten Moment bis zu unserer Abreise so herzlich und aufmerksam, hat sich um alles gekümmert und die Gäste „betüddelt“, ohne jemals aufdringlich zu sein. Das Frühstück war üppig, frisch und sehr lecker, die Gastgeberin und die Mitarbeiterin begrüßten jeden einzelnen Gast und kümmerten sich liebevoll um alle. Der einzige Punkt, den wir erwähnen möchten: Es gibt im Eingangsbereich (außen im Vorhof) des Hotels viele Katzen, die zum Hotel gehören. Wir lieben Katzen und haben uns gefreut, bei der Ankunft gleich mit Schmusen begrüßt zu werden. Menschen, die Katzen nicht mögen oder eine Katzenallergie haben, sollten allerdings darauf vorbereitet sein. Insgesamt haben wir uns rundum wohlgefühlt und werden bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt in Skiathos auf jeden Fall wieder im „Mato“ wohnen!

L odore dei gatti

We zaten in de bovenste kamer. Als je de koffers de smalle wenteltrap op weet te krijgen, wordt je beloond met een mooie kamer met groot balkon en uitzicht over de stad en haven. Ooit woonden hier denk ik welgestelde mensen, de vloeren zijn van marmer en de inrichting is koloniaals, dat is weer eens iets anders en oogt erg gezellig. Fijne badkamer en uitgebreid ontbijt. Aardige hostess die direct helpt met regelen van een taxi bijvoorbeeld.

Erg lastig te vinden met al die smalle straatjes en vele trappen omhoog. Het zou fijn zijn als je na de boeking een duidelijke route krijgt want ik heb een half uur gezocht. Het beste kan je een taxi nemen die tot aan de kerk kan rijden en van daar uit is het slechts een paar minuten lopen. Wat wij als niet-roker wel jammer vonden was dat de kamer waar ontbeten werd erg naar rook ruikt.

Die Zimmerausstattung war etwas altmodisch, aber gepflegt und funktional. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Liebevoll familiäres Hotel mit Ambiente. Inhaberin sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Würden auf alle Fälle wiederkommen um in Skiathos Stadt zu übernachten

Vielleicht wäre es angebracht an einigen Stellen einen Wegweiser anzubringen, da man durch das Gewirr der Gassen (autofreie Altstadt) sich schnell verlaufen kann.

An old family house which maintains its old world charm. There's an odd smell in the communal lounge, which may be linked to the large number of cats that hang around outside (they don't come into the property), but then Skiathos is overrun with stray cats!
