The AC control was confusing and the fan was noisy.

Good sized clean rooms and great location.

Location and restaurant

There were hair on the beddings, animal hair on the chair, bathroom door lock wasnt working properly, almost got locked inside and the bath tub wasn't draining properly. Room 218

Location was nice staff was friendly

Very dated, musty smell in the halls, all dispensers on the shower were empty, also they seemed to be renting parking in their lot and multiple times in 2 days we had no parking and when I asked the desk I was told to park on the street which was also full.

The location of the hotel was the best part. From out balcony you could see the lake (although you also had a very good view of the not so beautiful parking lot). The room itself was quite dated and dark except the bathroom was fresh and lovely.

No breakfast included but quite a steep price for the room. The pull out sofa was not very comfortable.

Excellent staff, quiet in the evenings, food was exceptional.

Third stall ladies washroom by the restaurant had a toilet leak from the bottom, I advised the staff but a day later it was still not fixed and the bathroom itself was very dirty. When we arrived to our room we had no shower wash nor hand soap! Also the previous guest had left a half full ice bucket full of melted ice Gross, I had to wash it before using it. The balcony could have used a sweep and mopping, cobwebs all over the place.

The room was located by the elevators and the fire door slammed every time someone arrive or leave and you can hear that in my room so at 2 am was really uncomfortable

Walking distance to almost everything.

The lakeview resort is very well located, in the middle of the town. The staff was friendly and there is easy parking and many bars and restaurants are around. We had good views on town and the lake. We also enjoyed the balcony. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake was great.

Clearly the best days of the hotel are over. The furniture and carpets are dated and were clearly cheap. It seems that the revenue is not reinvested but instead goes into the pockets of some investors. Still, it is the only real hotel in a large area. Why the hotel features very much faded posters in the hallways are of Italy and Greece rather than Canada or at least Iceland is a mystery.

The rooms were outdated. Our bathroom was broken. quite a bit of dirt everywhere. When accessing the pool showers it look like people were washing their pets from the beach in there. It was absolutely disgusting and there was black mold all up the wall It was just kind of gross and run down for what I was expecting I guess

The hotel was located on the lakefront. Beautiful local.

The hotel could use new paint & upgrades. Lock on the door was broken off, screen door on the balcony was bent. Sliding door was hard to open.

Friendly staff, stress-free checking in and out and most of all it is pet friendly

The water pressure in the shower was very low, so it took longer than usual to bathe. “The hair conditioner provided was not enough for a two‑night stay.

The room was on side of road. At the time in the evening and early night was little noise.

I only stayed for 1 night and everything was fine, I loved how its close to everything from lake, restaurants.

Not that big of a deal, but you can hear people walking around while you're at your room. I tried to stay a little quiet because I don't want to bother anyone. Example when I turned the tv on at night I lowered the volume a little, I was thinking that if I can hear them they probably can hear me too.

The staff are very nice especially the guy that greeted us at the front desk. Room is of good size and clean.

We didn’t eat breakfast in the hotel. We felt that the room could have been cleaned more thoroughly as there were traces of food stuck to the coffee table, especially for the price we paid for the night.

The breakfast was fine. the beds were fine. The location was fine.

The loud noise from across the street lasted until 1:30 am = not your fault. The room had shabby furnishings. The hallways were dark, poorly lit and had stained carpets. The price was easily the most money we have ever paid for an older hotel with shabby furnishings. We did not have a lake view for the $274 nightly rate. We have stayed at much better places for less money.

Good location, friendly staff, great restaurant but the room was full of flies inside that did not let us rest all night buzzing in our ears and crawling on us. We arrived at 7pm and after dinner we spent 30 minutes trying to eliminate them but could not do all of them and ended up waking up constantly. Just exhausting.

The facility is outdated, with very old, uncomfortable matresses and pillows. I hope owners would invest into renovting this beautiful resort.

The breakfast at the hotel was good. The location is beautiful!! The room needs work. Tiles were loose and popping up in the bathroom. The room is dated and could use a good clean. The beds were comfy for the 2 nights we were there. All staff we encountered were very friendly. We went to the pool it was good really liked the indoor and outdoor pool. I would close the doors in the hallway to the pool as there was a strong foul odour and looked like maintenance rooms possibly. Be sure to stop and check out the Gimli glider museum that’s in the hotel it’s fantastic.

Fix up the rooms like broken tiles. The rooms could use a good cleaning. Hallways to pool smelled terrible close the doors to the maintenance rooms in the hallway may help with the smell and appearance.

Didn’t have a beach view. Room was in a need of an overall. Bathroom some tiles cracked new flooring badly needed. Wood furniture were all scraped.

Room was clean, food was delicious, service was good.

Loved the balcony! We had a view of the beach and water. So lovely.

The hotel is comfortable, unpretentious, somewhat old fashioned and very friendly. The rooms facing the lake have a beautiful view, and the Seagull's restaurant offers well made meals at a very reasonable price. This is a great place to stay if you want to relax and leave your daily pressures behind.

Hotel was situated on the shores of the lake. You are able to walk the pier and the boardwalk. Beautiful views from my hotel room.

Excellent service. Loved the hot tub experience after day of pickleballing. Too bad the weather didn’t cooperate.

The hotel is nothing special (getting a little run down) but the amenities were nice and the area is beautiful.

I was here nearly 15 years ago and the hotel property were first class - it’s still retains the lovely structure and of course the setting is amazing - Lake Winnipeg is truly beautiful and humbling is such an interesting Icelandic Heritage place. However the hotel its self is Shabby Genteel now - for $181 .00 I’ve stayed n far superior hotels around the world. The towel “shelf” fell of the bathroom wall when I used the toilet at 2am and took a hand towel to dry my hands - it was barely secured on the wall. The bathroom could do with a good upgrade - the amenities lotion, hand soap and shampoo were really good as was the rainwater shower head but…. The lady at the front desk when I checked in hmm - pointedly said yes you’re in the basic room! Yes we were! Television remotes didn’t work, we got new batteries and it still next work -,we only had the weather channel! Would I stay here again no - not for the price we paid - I’m sure I can find something comparable price wise - after all as was pointed out Basic Room!!! The staff in the dining room were lovely as was Richard early morning front desk clerk whom I reported the fallen towel rack too. I want my $100 deposit back - we didn’t break it - IT FELl OFF

Our girls stay was wonderful. The room was great. We had beeakfast at the restaurant. Very tasty. The staff was very accomodating. Your front entrance could use a fresh up with some new furniture.

Balcony was a plus and having the lake right there was super.

I like the view at the seagull dining room.. We did not like Robins cafeteria..it's not a clean area to dine in.

Good location. I wouldnt say it was dirty but quite overdue for a refresh. Only one night so didnt really use extra facilities but did eat at the restaurant amd would also say average. Overall satisfactory for price.
