We got a hotel room, it was a bit outdated but comfortable. Easy parking and quiet

Wonderful staff, charming room with kitchenette. We did not access their other amenities so cannot comment. Dinner on site was okay.

Very nice place, cosy, clean,peaceful and friendly staff. But we thought it was a little overpriced, especially since you have to make your own beds at check in and at check out, take linens off, wash dishes and empty garbage.

The location was nice. There were so many buses and tourists that we could not get seats for dinner. We went in to town and had a lovely meal.

Chalet dans une sorte de village de vacances. Cuisine pas très bien équipée. Pas de micro-ondes, pas de passoire etc....mais l'aventure était intéressante

Hyggelig betjening i resepsjonen. Stort rom med enorm seng. Deilig med boblebad på rommet. Balkongen var lite innbydende da den vendte ut mot vegen med mye støy. Røykende bussjåfør/ bussturister rett nedenfor gjorde at vi måtte ha balkongdøra igjen også. Sokkene så ut som vi hadde gått ute med dem. Ikke hva vi forventet ut fra pris.

Utrolig vakker plassering, ypperlig med lekeland og svømmebasseng. Perfekt for barnefamilier.

The cabin was comfortable and warm although dated (particularly the shower, which was falling apart). But keep in mind you need to make the beds yourself and clean the cabin afterwards or you face a 600NOK fee. The breakfast was mediocre.

Overall very good, but we really wanted to use the indoor playground and couldn’t - the first day there was an event and the playground wasn’t open. When I asked when we could use it, we were told that they could just switch the lights on. So I said that we would come the next morning. Then there was a different person in the reception and we were not let in. We then got into the pool as an alternative at 10:45, but at 11:00 we were asked to leave as the reception was closing. Quite frustrating not being able to use the advertised facilities!

Magnifique chalet avec toit végétal, dans la forêt et vue extraordinaire sur les montagnes enneigées. Super calme et parfaitement équipé. De plus, piscine dans l'hôtel.

Everything is good. The WiFi was the only problem, it was extremely slow and unusable.

Nice cabin for a one nighter

The pool and indoor play area were large and clean. The rooms were large and spacious. It was a stop over for us but wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the area! There is plenty to do here.

Fin resepsjon, flott lekeområde. Stort basseng, men skittent. Godt brukte hytter med mye knirk og utdatert interiør. Restauranten hadde kjedelige retter.

Våra barn älskade stället. 4,7,9 år gamla. Poolen var rejält varm och gott om flythjälpmedel till barn som vill lära sig simma. Fräscha omklädningsrum och är nog nyligen renoverade. Lekrummet var en gammal stor gymnastiksal med mjukt golv som var omgjord till lekrum där de kunde springa av sig ordentligt. Entré till dessa ingick i stugpriset. Minus var att dammsugaren som fanns i stugan var helt kass. Tyvärr ingen mikrovågsugn eller frysfack. Toalett och dusch nyrenoverat i stugan. Bekväm stor soffa, tv och alla köksredskap man normalt behöver finns.

En strålende overnatting i fin hytte. Masse aktiviteter for barna, med lekeland og fine uteområder. Litt lite utvalg på frokosten.

Fenomenal

We had a great time staying here. It was a great location to be able to visit the Sognefjord sites without being right in Flåm or one of the other touristy sites. You would need a car, however. Breakfast was so-so, but we ate dinner in their restaurant one night and it was quite good, although expensive. The room we stayed in was quite warm and there was no way to adjust the thermostat, but we opened the door to the balcony and cooled it off.

No elevator access outside of front desk hours. Longish walk to and from ca rif you forgot something..

The property is easily accesible, where the main building is just on the side of the main road. The staff at the front desk is very friendly and helpful, everything was explained to us clearly. The kitchen and bathroom were well maintained, the only downside was that the cabin is not newly decorated and has shown its age at some places. Otherwise, this is highly recommended for family and friends to stay close to the nature of Norway in an enjoyable way.

Nesten alt var veldig bra, gulvet knirket mye og det var veldig tidlig å måtte forlate hytta.

Het huisje was prima, alles aanwezig. De bedden waren wel heel hard. Het systeem in het restaurant werkt niet. Duurt allemaal heel lang...je betaald voor de voorzieningen van het hotel,waar je geen gebruik van maakt.

Such a cute place in a great location. We rented one of the rooms with a private bathroom. Very nice updated unit. Not very large but fit our family of 3 just fine. Outside deck with beautiful views. The staff was very friendly. I highly recommend if you are partaking in any of the activities Loen has to offer. Very close, convenient , and well maintained.

Absolutely lovely, cozy cabins with a holiday camp feel. Staff were great amd views are unbelievably gorgeous. The accommodations are basic, but you'll have everything you need.

Stille og rolig. Masse aktiviteter for barna i resepsjon området. Vi hadde hytte, hytten er en typisk hytte hytte med treverk, litt knirking her og der, men eller godt utstyrt og gode senger.

Flott sted og kjempehyggelig vert som tok seg godt av oss under hele oppholdet.

Très jolie cabane avec tout le nécessaire. Manquait juste un micro-ondes. Arrivés à 20h30 par le ferry de Gudvangen à Kaupauger, nous n'avons pas eu le temps de tester la piscine. Mais le lieu était vraiment agréable et nous serions bien restés une nuit de plus ! Nous avons apprécié de pouvoir utiliser la laverie.

The cabin was spacious and clean. Bathroom was upgraded and modern which was a pleasant surprise.

Hei, Jeg er veldig forøyd med mitt opphold. Fine hytter og veldig fint for barn med svømmebasseng og leke park. Helt topp. Mye fint å se på i nærheten. Anbefaler på det sterkeste å overnatte her.

Hyttene ligger for tett, er veldig lytt, prisen forsvarer ikke standarden på hyttene. Fint basseng område og leke land for barn.

Gøy for barna! Hyttene var rene og gode. God service. Greit kjøkken med alt utstyr. Vi koste oss!

Familie på 4 som hadde en natts overnatting på hytte med 2 soverom og bad. Ikke høystandard, men akkurat det vi forventet og trengte. Ålreite senger og veldig hyggelig og behjelpelig resepsjonist. Vi brukte ingen av fasilitetene utover hytta, og brukte hytta kun til overnatting. Hytta hadde gode nok kjøkkenfasiliteter, spisebord og sofagruppe.

Grei innsjekking trass i sein ankomst, men vart overraska av at sluttreingjering ikkje var inkludert i den forhåndsbetalte prisen. Dette kom ikkje fram verken ved bestilling eller i tilsendt bekreftelse. Dette ligg heller ikkje framme på Vesterlands eiga nettside, kun dersom ein søkjer ekstra informasjon om rom/hytte, men ikkje om ein går direkte til bestilling. Det er uansett ikkje opplyst om storleiken på tillegsgebyra. Dette gir eit misvisande inntrykk av prisnivået for den som samanliknar aktuelle alternativ for overnatting, t.d. standard hotellrom med frokost. Hytta var velutstyrt og virka rein, men vatnet frå golvvasken vart ganske skittent.

Helt greit for en natt. Hytta var enkel, men greit utstyrt og lettstelt. Vi bodde i en vertikal delt hytte og det noe lytt mellom seksjonene.

Veldig fin plass , godt lagt opp og fint gjennomført . Noe slitte hytter, kunne trengt litt oppgradering inne, harde madrasser. Hadde gjort seg med noe mer for ungdom / store barn, biljard og lignende. Veldig hyggelige ansatte, service innstilte og imøtekomme. Alt i alt en flott plass .

Room was fine. But we ordered nonsmoking room because my husband has asthma and I have several allergies. On both sides of us, people sat on the outside balcony and smoked. The balcony door is the only way to get fresh air, no air conditioning and no fan in room. So we had to keep our door shut and sweat. Nonsmoking rooms should be set far away from rooms that allow smoking OR smokers should be required to leave the building and walk a reasonable distance away so they do not pollute the air for everyone else. If they do not change their smoking policy, then they should provide fans or air conditioning for those who cannot stand to leave their balcony doors open due to the smoke. This situation rather ruined an otherwise good experience.

The cabin was set in the middle of trees which was wonderful. Small kitchen area that had everything we needed to cook for ourselves after a long day out and about. Communal bbq area also available to guests. Beds comfortable as was dining/lounge area. Shower was great. Would highly recommend.

We booked Vesterland for a one-night stay during our Norwegian trip. We arrived quite late. The check-in was quick and we could even enjoy the pool that was open until late. The cabin was okay for 6 persons, and there's a supermarket three-minute drive. All in all a good impression.

The check-in people were especially helpful and friendly. The room was large and had a refrigerator which is a necessity for us when we travel. Breakfast was excellent. The only downside was not having air conditioning but apparently this is normal for Norway. It was nice having a king bed to sleep in.

Cabins were really cute. Four are connected together so would be really good for a small group or large family. Plenty of room, bathroom was fine too, and kitchen if you need it. We went into Sogndal for dinner. We took the nearby car ferry from Kaupanger to Gudvangen the next day, lovely.
