Prachtig gebouw, zeer mooie kamer, gezellige lounge met openhaard waar we bij aankomst thee met gebak kregen. Een topper van een ontbijt met locale producten.

It was quaint and cosy. This host was spectacular. The views were stunning. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We enjoyed relaxing in the sitting room by the fire after a day of hiking.

Amazing location looking across the loch to Inverrary. Very quiet location. Comfortable room. Lovely house with local art and artifacts. Excellent cooked breakfast with a great choice including haggis pattie and tattie scone for that Sottish experience

Soggiornare alla Thistle House Guest House è stata una delle esperienze più piacevoli del nostro viaggio in Scozia. Si tratta di un delizioso cottage immerso in una posizione incantevole, proprio sulle rive del lago, che regala un’atmosfera di pace e serenità unica. Gli ambienti interni sono curati nei minimi dettagli, con un arredamento caldo, intimo e incredibilmente accogliente che ti fa sentire subito a casa. Una menzione speciale va all'ospitalità straordinaria delle padrone di casa: un’accoglienza impeccabile e dal cuore grande. Al nostro arrivo ci hanno deliziato offrendoci del tè caldo accompagnato da fantastici biscotti artigianali, un gesto d'altri tempi che abbiamo apprezzato tantissimo. Per finire, la colazione: ricca, abbondante e di eccellente qualità, perfetta per iniziare al meglio la giornata di esplorazione. Un indirizzo prezioso che consigliamo a chiunque cerchi la vera e autentica ospitalità scozzese. Torneremo sicuramente!

Ein so wundervolles Haus...wie in einer Zeitreise,dazu noch der atemberaubende Ausblick aufs Wasser, einfach herrlich. Die Damen des Hauses sind auch so bezaubernd lieb, es wird sich um alles liebevoll gekümmert.Das Frühstück ist ausgesprochen lecker und die angebotenen Töpferwaren sind so schön, man muss ein paar Stücke mitnehmen...

Merci infiniment pour l accueil très chaleureux de Suzanne et sa belle sœur. Charmante maison d hôtes,parfaitement tenue au bord du loch, Suzanne nous a réservé une table dans une petite auberge à quelques kilomètres, c'était confortable pour notre arrivée tardive. Séjour très apprécié.

Es war mein zweiter Aufenthalt und ich war wieder absolut zufrieden. Die Gestaltung des Hauses und der Zimmer ist liebevoll und bequem. Danke

Alles war super. Bestes Frühstück von unseren Aufenthalten. Frisch gekocht nach Auswahl bei großer Vielfalt. Viel zu viel und soooo lecker. Supernette Hausherrin und Helferin. Toll ausgestattete Zimmer mit urgemütlicher Lounge. Wir waren begeistert. Hatten 2 Zimmer für 3 Personen. Beide sehr groß. Haben die selbstgemachte Töpferware gekauft. Superschön. War leider nur 1 Nacht, aber kommen gerne wieder.

It was a beautiful property. Well maintained and lovingly cared for. The chickens were a hoot, and the dogs were friendly and delightful. The sitting area was comfortable and quiet ( Great place to relax and read). We loved the view and the outside sitting area (the rain prevented us from enjoying that sitting area though.

Unser zweiter Aufenthalt in diesem sehr familiär geführtem Haus war wieder perfekt. Die Räume sind sehr schön und bis in kleinste Detail liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Gastgeber waren äußerst zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück ist wirklich sehr gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder

C’était grandiose. La magie du lieu, l’hospitalité de nos hôtes, la beauté de la maison et des chambres , la qualité de la literie, le petit déjeuner ultra copieux et délicieux, bref je n’aurai jamais assez de mots pour exprimer ce moment hors du temps. Depuis le temps que nous voyageons, le meilleur lieu où nous ayons séjourné, un véritable coup de cœur.

Wir waren früher als angekündigt vor Ort und wurden mit Tee, Kaffee und Kuchen verwöhnt. Das Frühstück war hervorragend. Grosses Zimmer.

Tout est absolument magique, à commencer par la bâtisse et l'accueil. Le grand salon à disposition des invités avec plein de jeux à disposition permet de se ressourcer pleinement. L'emplacement est idéal pour visiter la région du lock Lomond. Le petit déjeuner est excellent. Merci beaucoup pour ce merveilleux séjour.

Außergewöhnlich gut hat es uns gefallen. Dieses wunderschöne, liebevoll eingerichtete Guest House mit den beiden freundlichen hilfsbereiten Damen war ein Highlight unserer Reise. So ein Schmuckstück gibt es nicht oft. Das ganz besondere Frühstück muss auch noch erwähnt werden.

De dames zijn erg vriendelijk.

Hele dag regen gehad en savonds wordt het droog. Door erg veel vervelende vliegjes konden we niet buiten zitten. De eigenaren kunnen hier helaas niets aan doen.

Fantastische accomodaties aan een loch

Alles war einfach perfekt. Wir wurden herzhaft empfangen inkl Tee, Caffee und Kuchen. Die Besitzer sind herzlich und mit sehr viel herzblit dabei. Man merkt ihre Leidenschaft für das Haus und die Gästebetreuung.

Everything: from the warm welcome when we arrived in the rain to their incredibly kind generosity both to us and Lyra, we couldn’t recommend this any more highly. The rooms are very comfortable, the sitting room overlooking the loch a joy and super cosy plus an excellent breakfast.

Womit soll man anfangen? Hier stimmt einfach alles. Ein wunderschönes Haus mit liebevoll eingerichteten Gästezimmern und einem gemütlichen und grosszügigen Aufenthaltsraum. Der Garten, die Aussicht - alles hat gestimmt! Das Frühstück wird jeden Morgen frisch zubereitet und ist ausnehmend gut. Diese Unterkunft kann man vorbehaltlos weiter empfehlen und wir würden hier in jedem Fall wieder übernachten

Dafür kann das Guesthouse nichts - aber in der unmittelbaren Umgebung ist nicht viel. Inveraray mit seinem Schloss liegt zwar genau gegenüber auf der anderen Seeseite, aber es ist doch ein halbstündige Autofahrt. Benmore Garden ist auch etwa 40 minuten entfernt. Dies nur zur Info.

An absolute 10 out of 10. Lovely home with lovely hosts. We enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

Sue welcomed us with a lovely cup of tea in the beautiful lounge overlooking Loch Fyne. Our room was spacious and comfortable and again overlooking the Loch. Ther was a small fridge in the hall with fresh milk cold water and space to put our wine beer or any other beverage. A nice touch.

A unique experience for sure! Sue and Avery are ever so lovely. We arrived with afternoon tea and left the next morning after a scrumptious breakfast. Be sure to smell the linnens, because it’s only one of the many details that made our stay wonderful.

La casa es espectacular, todos los detalles estan extremadamente cuidados. Un salon que invita a leer con vistas al lago. Las encargadas del alojamiento son encantadoras y hacen todo lo posible para que la estancia sea excelebte. Para repetir!!!

Superbe maison d hôtes avec vue sur le loch, sur la rive en face du chateau d Inveraray . Chaleureux accueil par Avril qui nous prepare un thé avec petits gateaux. Excellent petit dejeuner a la carte. Tres confortable avec bon wifi.

Thistle House was a delight! Sue and Avril were so attentive and kind, and clearly loved what they had created in the House. We did too! It was stunning. We felt safe, warm and comfortable. Everything was clean and well appointed. We didn’t want for anything. It was definitely well worth the extra bit of driving.

Ein traumhaft schönes Haus in wunderschöner Lage. Mit einer sehr freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Gastgeberin. Jedes Zimmer ist so liebevoll eingerichtet. Schade, dass wir nur eine Nacht dort waren.

Es war alles perfekt.

Alles sehr gute, die beiden Damen sind sehr zuvorkommend, lassen keine Wünsche offen. Das ganze Haus, ist sehr sehr sauber und wundervoll eingerichtet. Das Frühstück sehr gut, auch die Lage, wir hatte Blick auf das Wasser, einfach nur traumhaft. Wir können diese Unterkunft absolut weiter empfehlen.

Es gibt überhaupt Nichts zu bemängeln

So nice to be welcomed on a rainy day with tea and biscuits near the fireplace. The Victorian atmosphere is wonderful, furnitures, paintings and small objects seem to be exactly where they should be. Comfortable room with gorgeous view on Loch Fyne and Inveraray. Great breakfast.

We can only provide a maximum star rating for this property. Beautiful house in a lovely setting. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming. greeting us with a choice of tea or coffee, assisting with our bags and more; the guests lounge ran the depth of the house and was beautifully decorated and furnished, as was our room. We were provide with an extensive list of choices for breakfast and it was made all to apparent that our choices were not limited; Car parking was well laid out for guests.

unfortunately , but understandably there is no provision for an evening meal; The nearest hostelry is 4 miles away and although we understand it has a good reputation, when we viewed the menu, there were reasons for not chosing this option; not least the overall cost and the travel time. Having eaten well at lunch time ,hunger was not an issue;

Es como estar en casa. Todo impecable, confortable. El café/Té con pastas al llegar un detalle genial, el desayuno sin palabras, la habitación cómoda, las vistas maravillosas, las anfitrionas super detallistas y dispuestas a ayudar... En resumen de 10!!!

Beautifully furnished, warm and comfortable.

Everything was perfect as usual. It is always a pleasure to stay at this wonderful place where Sue and Ann's look after so lovely. This House is the best B&B in the world and there is No place we would rather stay! And the breakfast is also the best in the world!

Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno davvero piacevole. La signora che ci ha accolto è stata gentilissima e sempre disponibile, facendoci sentire subito a nostro agio. La colazione, preparata al momento, era ottima e abbondante, con prodotti freschi e di qualità. Le camere erano pulite e curate nei dettagli, contribuendo a rendere l’esperienza ancora più confortevole. Consigliamo vivamente questa struttura!

Probably one of the best stays I have ever had. The attention to every detail is truly impressive. The location is beautiful, as it is right in front of a lake, and the rooms are perfect—clean and carefully maintained in every aspect. The two guest house hosts were incredibly helpful and kind. The breakfast was absolutely a 10 out of 10. Congratulations and thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Wir wurden (wegen Flugverspätung) nach 22 Uhr herzlich empfangen und bekamen noch eine Kleinigkeit zu essen, weil wir hungrig waren. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Das Frühstück war vielfältig und sehr gut.

El mejor alojamiento de Escocia con diferencia (estuvimos en 9). Entorno idílico; delante del lago. Aparcamiento en la puerta. Habitación preciosa y limpísima. Las anfitrionas ,Sue y Avril, son encantadoras. Están pendientes de todos los detalles. Desayuno muy bueno. Totalmente recomendable. Especial mención a las gallinas (Omelet, Nugget, Scramblet y otra), que vienen cuando les llama Sue.

Nous avons tout adoré, l'accueil, la chambre l'environnement, le petit déjeuner... Nous avons dîné dans un restaurant à 5mn en voiture que l'hôte nous avait réservé, correct. Endroit à recommander sans problème. Il faut une voiture car un peu éloigné.

We love Thistle House so much we had to visit again following our first stay last spring! Our hosts were so welcoming and friendly making us feel right at home and very comfortable. The room was beautifully furnished with a super comfy bed and lovely hot shower. The views from our room of the surrounding scenery was stunning. Looking out beyond the loch was an idyllic sight indeed. And of course, the breakfast was delicious, especially the scrambled eggs 🍳!

Fue un sueño quedarse aquí. Tuve la suerte de pasar una tarde completa disfrutando en el salón en el calor de la chimenea leyendo y me sentí extasiada. La amabilidad de las propietarias y un desayuno increíble. Quedarse aquí fue un sueño que espero repetir.

Très bon séjour. Tout était parfait : le lieu décoré avec goût (et un très beau salon cosy), l'emplacement et l'extrême gentillesse des propriétaires. Excellent petit déjeuner également.

Susan und Avril haben sich so gut um uns gekümmert und das Frühstück war mega! Das Haus ist toll gestaltet und sehr heimelig. Wir mochten es sehr!

Gemütliches und sehr liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus. Herzliche und sehr zuvorkommende Gastgeberin. Umsorgte uns nach Ankunft mit Kaffee, Tee und Keksen. Tolles und reichliches Frühstück. Die Lage ist etwas abseits, dafür hat man einen direkten Blick aufs Wasser und auf Inverary Castle am gegenüberliegenden Ufer. Sehr zu empfehlen.

The owners were amazing, from the moment we stepped onto their property until we left it, their welcome and sending off was both warm and kind. They treated us like they knew us, they were so kind and hospitable, nothing was a problem. Spare fridge with fresh milk and water and available to put your own stuff in it. Everything they did and said was from the heart! 5 stars to them, 10 out of 10 - so so friendly and interested in you the guest, but not over the top- our privacy and boundaries were respected!!

We love absolutely everything! Breakfast had many options and was delicious. They also offer Vegan alternatives! The recommendations to have dinner nearby were great! The building and rooms are authentically decorated and there is plenty of space to chill with your friends and family in front of the fire after a nice day. The rooms are spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The shower had good pressure and the room was comfortable and warm on a chilly evening. The hosts, Sue and Avril were fantastic. They are beyond any expectations and made us feel welcome, with love and care for the little details and outstanding customer service. We will definitely come back! The location is perfect if you are looking for nice views and quiet surroundings.

The B&B was a beautiful building with an impressive view of the loch. The room was lovely. The owner kindly got us a Chinese takeaway from a nearby town as the pub we were going go to (as recommended by the owner) sadly was closed to walking as there was a wake. Bicycles were securely packed away in the owners garage. Breakfast was excellent. I had a full Scottish and my wife Jo salmon.

The shaver socket did not work (in the bathroom) and a socket in the dining room for charging my iPhone. However easily remedied by using other sockets.

Staff (Sue and Avril) were delightful. Warm and welcoming. Great room with a great view of the water. Excellent breakfast.

Location far from any restaurants for a meal after checking in.

Extremely lovely stay at Thistle House. Sue and Avril were so kind and helpful with restaurant recommendations. My husband and I enjoyed the view from our room, as well as the beautiful common room downstairs—a coal fire in this room was so nice in the wet weather. We enjoyed meeting the other guests in this area, and it was a quiet space for us to play scrabble. Numerous choices were available for breakfast and the food prepared was delicious. We’d highly recommend Thistle House.

Individuell frisch gekochtes und zusammengestelltes leckeres Frühstück, das keine Wünsche offen ließ. Extrem freundliche Eigentümerinnen. Begrüßung mit Tee und Gebäck im Salon. Ein besseres Vorbild für schottische Gastfreundschaft kann man nicht geben! Wir haben uns selten in einer Unterkunft so zu Hause gefühlt, wie hier. Vom Haus hat meinen einen herrlichen Blick auf Loch Fyne.
