I Bastioni San Domenico - Boutique Hotel

I Bastioni San Domenico exceeded all expectations. A former monastery and jail, this boutique hotel does not disappoint. The location is wonderful with views of the Ionian Sea. The staff is wonderful and knowledgeable about the hotel and were very attentive to our needs. All the accommodations and amenities were excellent, and the terrace is relaxing with views of the sea. The breakfast is wonderful ❤️. We could not have asked for a better location or accommodation. Thank you I Bastioni San Domenico for a most awesome stay!

Rummen var stora och med bra aircondition. Frukosten var väldigt bra som serverades på en fantastisk takterrass. Där kunde man även ta en apertivo och se solnedgången på första parkett. Personalen gick enkelt att kommunicera med, både inför och under vistelsen. Bra på engelska.

Buena ubicación . Hay 2 parking a 700 mts .Primera habitación no me gustó y tuve q cambiarme ( pagando diferencia ) y era una suite muy linda con una hermosa vista . Excelente desayuno . Para recomendar . Personal muy amable para asesorarnos sobre lugares , recomiendo ver el atardecer en la terraza

La terrazza dove si svolge la colazione, ha una vista stupenda!

L’hotel si trova in una ztl e nei paraggi è molto difficile trovare parcheggio( ma questo lo sapevamo e lo abbiamo messo in conto). Appena arrivi in struttura hai la sensazione di essere in un hotel di livello ma quando entri in camera capisci di esserti sbagliato; in camera c’è puzza di fogna , abbiamo dovuto coprire lo scarico della doccia con gli asciugamani, i teli non avevano per nulla un buon odore, mancavano prese ( uno dei due comodini non aveva la presa per poter caricare il cell); il frigo era spento perché accanto c’era la macchinetta del caffè e in corrente c’era quella. Nella doccia oltre alla puzza c’era muffa ovunque, e in camera mancano appoggi per valige e cose varie. La colazione iniziava alle 8 , e a quell ora non c’erano ancora le uova a tavola , abbiamo dovuto chiederle entrambe le mattine. Insonorizzazione da rivedere . Bisogna rivedere molti aspetti, è un peccato perché il potenziale c’è.

Struttura bella , posizione ottima per raggiungere i punti più belli di Gallipoli. Personale gentile e disponibile . Pulizia eccellente . Consigliatissimo

Stunning rooms, beautiful decor and outstanding service

A really beautiful villa, feels like a green oasis set in its own private grounds, close to beaches and historic villages along the coast, good location for exploring that region of Puglia. Very well appointed, especially the modern kitchen, every appliance and utensil any enthusiastic cook could wish for. The outdoor spaces and pool were wonderful, had a real Palm Springs / Italian vibe. We have stayed in a few villas in our travels, and this stay was up there with the best we've experienced. A wonderful host in Alessandro. Would definitely recommend.

Molto bella e luminosa

¡Estancia de 10! El interior del hotel es precioso y el desayuno en la terraza es de 10: comida muy buena, unas vistas al mar increíbles y un equipo que nos atendió en todo momento con muchísima atención y amabilidad. La habitación era muy amplia y estaba muy limpia. El único pequeño inconveniente es que no se podía ventilar demasiado bien, pero aun así hemos estado comodísimas durante toda la estancia. También queremos destacar especialmente a las chicas de recepción, que además hablaban español y fueron súper amables con nosotras, ayudándonos en todo lo que necesitamos. ¡Mil gracias por todo! El ambiente del hotel es súper tranquilo y no se escucha ningún ruido, así que es perfecto para descansar. En resumen, hemos disfrutado muchísimo de nuestra estancia y recomendamos el hotel al 100%. ¡Volveríamos sin duda!

The property is located in the old town, which was very convenient for exploring the area. The ladies at the front desk were friendly, helpful, and welcoming, and the room itself was comfortable and pleasant.

Unfortunately, our experience with the hotel’s private garage was extremely disappointing. The man who escorted us to the garage did not speak English, which made the parking process confusing, stressful, and difficult to navigate. He was unfriendly and shouted at us throughout the process. Eventually, he insisted on parking the car himself and ended up driving our car into a wall. What was most frustrating was that he did not apologize, and we were still charged €50 for two nights of parking. To make matters worse, the rental company later charged us an additional €200 for damage to the bumper caused by the collision when he drove our car into to the wall.

Quarto rés de chão, com janela para a rua. O quarto não tinha insonorizarão, ouvia-se tudo do quarto do lado e rua. Hotel localizado no centro histórico, sem possibilidade de estacionamento nas redondezas. Estacionamento longe do hotel, pago e cheio a partir das 17h-00h, muito difícil para estacionar.

Das Zimmer war in einem Gewölbe mit einem kleinen Fenster in einen Lichtschacht (Hof). Es hat modrig/schimmelig gerochen wie in einem Keller.

We arrived late (11:00 pm) Saturday night the old town was crazy busy. No place to park and unload luggage. During the week it was much better. I booked the two room suite thinking it had ocean views. No exterior windows. Disappointed.

O hotel é lindo, um edifício restaurado com um belo terraço para café da manhã, com vista linda. O café da manhã e farto e gostoso.

O quarto não tem janela, o que deixa um pouco escuro. A localização, para quem está de carro é um pouco distante do estacionamento, 900m. O hotel disponibiliza um motorista para ajudar no check in e checkout para buscar e levar o carro.

Lage direkt am Wasser, tolle Dachterrasse fürs Frühstück, sehr schön eingerichtetes Zimmer (selbst mit Fenster zum Hof hell genug), bequemes Bett, sehr freundliches Personal, gute Kommunikation vorher zur Anreise bzgl Auto ausladen Vor Ort (zeitlich begrenzt möglich). Möglichkeiten ausserhalb des Zimmer Badesachen zu trocknen.

A lovely little hotel, perfectly located in the heart the old town. but nice and quiet at night. The hotel is beautifully decorated throughout, with gorgeous corridors full of character, and the rooftop where breakfast is served is absolutely stunning with great views. The breakfast was one of the best we had during our trip to Italy, with a great selection of fresh, delicious food. The only slight disappointment was the room. While it was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed, it didn’t reflect the beautiful style and character of the rest of the hotel. It felt quite basic in comparison and could do with a little updating to match the rest of the property. Overall, though, it’s a lovely little place in a fantastic location, and we’d happily stay here again. 😊

The outside terrace breakfast just doesn’t work. The buffet is exposed to the elements with most of the offerings being subject to flies pigeons and even seagull incursions. When we were selecting our food one morning a pigeon landed and was standing in a bowl of jam whilst pecking at some fruit. When my wife alerted the staff they shrugged and ushered us away, the pigeon left but the jam stayed!!

Das Hotel besticht durch die hervorragende Lage und der wunderschönen Dachterrasse mit Blick aufs Meer, auf dem ein ausgezeichnetes Frühstück serviert wird und man großartige Sonnenuntergänge beobachten kann. Betten und Zimmerausstattung sind ebenfalls top. Jene Rezeptionistin, die in New York studierte, war außerordentlich freundlich und humorvoll und hat uns mit hilfreichen Tipps versorgt.

A small and very comfortable hotel with great service. Located in the old town so no parking for the car but a few minutes walk to the public parking was ok. Great breakfast , better than the usual italian style.

So much to like!!! The property was recently renovated, chic and comfortable. It also was in a terrific location. The staff was friendly and helpful. Valerie was generous with her restaurant and shopping recommendations. Most staff members speak multiple languages and make you feel most welcome. The breakfast offerings are limitless and delicious.

There really is nothing to dislike. There was a little issue with our AC in the first room, but the staff was quick to move us to a larger room with generous AC.

L’hôtel est très bien situé

Nous avons eu une chambre au rez de chaussée qui donnait sur une ruelle assez sombre et assez bruyante. De plus la salle de bain n’était pas impeccable quand nous sommes arrivés, nous avons dû demander un nouveau ménage. Le rooftop est agréable mais c’est dommage qu’il n’y ai pas de bar, il fait un peu triste.

Staff were great as was the location and the accommodation.

Parking is a problem if you use the limited public parking. We however accepted the private parking organised by our hotel which was very good especially when they took us and our bags to the car from our hotel when we left, thereby avoiding for us the busy narrow old town roading.

Personnel agréable. Difficultés pour accéder à l'hôtel en voiture car en zone ZTL mais Antonio est venu récupérer mes bagages dans mon véhicule garé au port. Petit déjeuner copieux sur le toit terrasse avec superbe vue sur la mer et le phare. Idéal au coucher de soleil. Chambre au rez de chaussée en pierre de taille voûtée donc atypique avec une seule fenêtre oscillo batante donnant sur une ruelle relativement calme. Lit correct.

Building has lots of character with a rooftop lounge area facing the sea. Very clean and comfortable with very friendly staff. They also have a wonderful breakfast.

Such a beautiful hotel in an absolutely gorgeous location. Breakfast is divine and the view of the sea from the rooftop is outstanding. The staff is especially friendly, welcoming and just altogether lovely.

Atypique et magnifique, décoré avec bcp de goût, le personnel est adorable, mention à Antonio qui effectue les convoyages jusqu'au parking,ce qui est très appréciable. Le petit déjeuner est superbe.

Séjour formidable ! L’accueil a été très chaleureux avec une jeune femme parlant français. La vue est splendide, l’hôtel est très beau, bien situé et le petit déjeuner est délicieux !

Accueil charmant de 2 hôtesses qui nous upgrade pour une plus grande chambre avec terrasse. Cet hôtel est décoré avec soin, les espaces communs sont très beaux. Directement sur les remparts dans le centre historique, certaines chambres donnent sur la mer. Petit déjeuner buffet complet. Roof top avec une très belle vue mer sur la rade au coucher de soleil ... Tout est parfait, mais il se mérite car situé dans une zone à trafic limité. Pour 15€ par nuit, L'hôtel nous a proposé un box sécurisé dans la partie moderne, après avoir pu déposer nos bagages en 10mn à l'hôtel. L'hôtel sait gérer ce tracas de circulation.

Le charme du lieu, la décoration soignée, l’accueil excellent du personnel et la terrasse de la chambre. Une mention spéciale our la gentillesse de Paola et son excellent français !

Le fait que l’hôtel soit dans la ZTL oblige à laisser sa voiture au port en contre-bas avec une bonne marche pour rejoindre l’hôtel… L’accueil au restaurant attenant n’est hélas pas du même niveau qu’à l’hôtel et le repas pas vraiment digne d’un 4 étoiles, je recommande de dîner dans la vieille ville ailleurs!

We had a room with a balcony and partial sea view which really wasn’t anything special, probably not worth paying extra for. The breakfast was pretty good with some gluten free options. Staff spoke good English.

It’s a very traditional hotel. Furnishings are quite old fashioned. Whilst the location on the front is of course a bonus this means you have to walk through narrow, poorly lit streets to the majority of restaurants. Two nights in Gallipoli in May is enough.

The room has a unique and very interesting design using motifs resembling early Roman art and architecture. The hotel is located right across the road from the shoreline and affords great views. The hotel also has an exceptional restaurant across the street on the shore, and it offers an exceptional breakfast as well.
