't Hooghe Licht Bed & Breakfast

Dit is een grote B&B met meer kamers. Voor de gasten is er een gezamenlijke woonkamer en keuken. Doordat ik die avond de enige gast was, had ik in feite een complete woning ter beschikking. Er was een schuur beschikbaar voor het stallen van mijn fiets. Ik heb wat kleding uitgespoeld en in de tuin aan de waslijn te drogen gehangen. Er waren dranken te koop die in de koelkast stonden. Het ontbijt was meer dan voldoende.

De gastvrouw kwam een paar keer binnenlopen, wat natuurlijk haar goed recht is en ze had er vast een reden voor, maar ik kreeg het gevoel dat ze de zaak graag in de gaten hield.

We hebben enorm genoten van ons verblijf. De accommodatie was heel proper, ruim en gezellig en bovendien prachtig ingericht. Je merkt dat er veel aandacht en liefde in de inrichting is gestoken, en het verhaal achter de accommodatie maakt het verblijf extra bijzonder. Het ontbijt was echt een topper: heel vers, uitgebreid en met heerlijke lokale producten. Een fijne manier om de dag te beginnen! Ook de gastvrijheid verdient een dikke pluim. We werden heel vriendelijk ontvangen en kregen bovendien leuke en praktische tips over wat er in de buurt te doen en te ontdekken is. De buitenruimte was fantastisch, zeker met kinderen. Er was voldoende ruimte om te spelen en te genieten, waardoor ook zij zich helemaal konden uitleven. Een extra pluspunt vonden we dat we onze elektrische auto ter plaatse konden opladen. Heel handig en comfortabel, zodat we ons daar geen zorgen over hoefden te maken. Kortom: een mooie, verzorgde en gastvrije accommodatie, met een heerlijk ontbijt, een fijne buitenruimte en veel aandacht voor de gasten. Alles is aanwezig voor een ontspannen verblijf. Zeker een aanrader, en we komen hier met plezier nog eens terug!

Klein verbeterpuntje: tijdens ons verblijf was het behoorlijk warm. Een airco zou op warme dagen zeker een extra troef zijn om het verblijf nog comfortabeler te maken. Gelukkig maakte de fijne accommodatie en de aangename buitenruimte veel goed.

Alles was fantastisch goed. De accomodatie was luxueus ingericht. Bed, linnen en handdoeken van hoge kwaliteit. Zeer mooie en luxueuze douche. Zeer mooie vloeren en faience. Hygiene was top. Ik heb geen last gehad van mijn allergie. Ontbijt heel uitgebreid. Teveel om op te krijgen. Zeer uitgebreide keuze. Hilde heeft zelfs eitjes gebakken. Locatie zeer goed evenals parkeren. We wisten niet dat we er konden dineren. Spijtig, want andere gasten hadden ons verteld, dat dit ook fantastisch lekker en uitgebreid was. Hilde was een fantastische gastvrouw. Niet opdringerig respect voor privacy en indien nodig een luisteren oor. Kortom aangenaam om mee te praten indien je dit wenste. We waren iets vergeten en Hilde belde ons zelf op en we konden dit ophalen op de terug weg naar huis. De prijs was naar de lage kant in vergelijking met de luxe en kwaliteit. Ik vond het zeker 4 sterren waard i.p.v. 3. Ik zal zeker terug gaan met mijn kleinkinderen, wanneer we naar Bellewaerde gaan.

Spijtig dat we moesten vertrekken. Het was maar 1 nacht voor Bellewaerde.

De ontvangst was zoals het moest , vriendelijk ,alles goed uitgelegd door de gastvrouw . Ontbijt was ook dik inorde . Mooie tuin . Echt een aanrader

Ondanks het buiten 37 graden was het binnen ook wel warm . Airco zou een optie zijn maar voor die paar dagen op een jaar is het dat waard ?

Persoonlijk misten we tv op de kamer maar er is een ruim salon beneden om tv te kijken. Ideaal voor grotere groepen.

Tutto ottimo!!! posto pulito e curato nei dettagli, la signora è stata gentilissima e la posizione è eccezionale per visitare i campi di battaglia di Ypres. Colazione buonissima e abbondante. Siamo stati bene.

Het was in een woord GEWELDIG! Aan ook maar alles is gedacht. We zijn met onze 2 dochters van 4 en 8 verbleven, heerlijke bedden, speelgoed voor de kids en een fantastisch ontbijt! Zeker een aanrader! Gastvrouw en gastheer ook hartstikke lieve, hardwerkende mensen!

Tout était parfait ! Hyper bon accueil et une belle maison où on se sent comme à la maison. Petit-déjeuner très complet et délicieux. Un sans faute que je recommande vivement !

het ontbijt was heel uitgebreid en lekker en zeer mooi gepresenteerd. De gastvrouw bood ook aan om een eitje te bakken . De kamer was ook zeer mooi en heel proper , badkamer ruim met aparte inloopdouche . Gastvrouw zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ik vond de omgeving zeer rustig .

Misschien voor de liefhebbers ook wat brood voorzien bij ontbijt , nu waren het verse broodjes en een croissant die lekker waren maar sommigen wensen misschien liever wat brood

Heel mooie hoeve met een zeer gastvriendelijke dame! Prachtige kamers met alle comfort en een uiterst verzorgd en rijkelijk ontbijt! Wij komen zeker terug! Ook onze zesjarige zoon werd met de nodige warmte onthaald.

Ietwat langs een drukke weg gelegen, waardoor de auto's aan de voorzijde goed hoorbaar zijn.

WIJ VONDEN HET EEN SUPER MOOIE, FIJNE EN GEZELLIGE B&B Het is er zeer gezellig en een huislijke sfeer. Het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid en top gepresenteerd. De eitjes en het spek werd persoonlijk gevraagd en ter plaatse bereid door de zeer vriendelijke eigenaares.

Alles voldeed aan onze wensen, er was totaal niets wat tegenviel.

Beautiful self contained house , very clean , comfy beds etc , has it own swimming pool too , set in a beautiful part of the countryside, quiet location , close to Ypres town centre , hilde is a great host , showed us around and she made us the loviest breakfast, she has great attention to detail and very friendly and warm , I would def stay here again and my friends too

Only staying one night

Had a really lovely one nights stay. Hilde was a very attentive host and everything was perfect. Very nice countryside location with horses in the fields around us which was a bonus when looking out of the window in a morning. It was located conveniently just outside Ypres and close to the war memorials etc... the breakfast Hilde prepared for us was beautiful . We would love to return if in the area again! A hidden gem 😉❤️

Hilde heeft ons heel vriendelijk ontvangen en een rondleiding gegeven.De kamers waren kraaknet met heel goede matras en kussens.De badkamer had een prima regendouche en voozien van alle comfort zoals douchegel..shampoo..bodylotion..tandpasta en tandenbortsel..scheergerief.Ook koffie en thee op de kamer.. Great B&B. Amazing breakfast!! Nice clean bathroom. Looked like there was everything for toddlers and babies. A big shared living space, we made our own dinner one night. Garden with pool (water was cold) and swing &slide.

The tarmac of the road outside was a bit noisy, fine once you are asleep. You absolutely need a car but lots of places to eat 5-10mins from the B&B

Honestly this was the best B&B I have ever stayed in - the host was fabulous, the location was excellent, as were the facilities in terms of accessibility, comfort and welcomeness. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!

We had an exceptional time at this clean, comfortable and charming place. Hilde was most welcoming to us and our young children. The facilities were of high standard and kept in great order. We were able to feel like guests but also feel at home which is the perfect combination. We had breakfast each morning which was varied and tasty. Much of which was home made or local which was brilliant.

The property was on a busy road which sometimes was briefly noisy but once inside you soon couldn’t hear it. The garden is well enclosed however so no issues there.

The property is very nice, everything is well done. It has a great breakfast and wonderful facilities in the house. We traveled with our toddler so the toys and the slide were a very big plus for us. Parking available in front of the house, easy access.

It was little bit complicated for us with the checkin time but we managed to delay it after 17:00. Also a minus was that the heating was off even if we put the radiators on maximum. A little bit to cold for our taste but if you like it like that then it s perfect for you

We had a wonderful stay and the whole place to ourselves. Amazing breakfast. Convenient and easy parking. Obviously newly furnished. Lovely owners who made check in and check out really straightforward. Although we did not travel with a baby or young children, this is clearly a suitable property for families. Would stay here again.

Hilde is an excellent host at this wonderful B&B! She accommodated a late check-in for coming out of town, and was very helpful on providing info on local attractions. The room was nicely renovated in warm wood tones, spacious, and relaxing, as well as an ensuite bathroom with large shower and all basic necessities provided. Hilde also accommodated an extra early start the next day by having breakfast earlier than usual, which had lots of variety and was delicious. This B&B is perfectly located for those interested in visiting battlefield and local sites of WWI history. I highly recommend t Hooghe Licht Bed & Breakfast if you are visiting the area.

Just a huge thank you to the host at this perfect B&B..... As this is by far the best B&B I have ever stayed in,and the high end hotel chains,could seriously learn from this host,as attention too detail is absolutely perfect..... The whole house is spotlessly clean,and the reviews speak for them self !! Breakfast is a continental affair,and impressive..... My fellow four travellers were also impressed,and our only gripe is,we wish we ould have stayed here for a week,and not just for one day....... Loved It !!!!

Fabulous stay. Family room was excellent, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, lots of choice, fresh fruit, yoghurt, fresh bread and croissants. Would highly recommend and will happily book and stay again if we are in the area.

Breakfast and hospitality was excellent. Brilliant area Hilde was really lovely she gave us loads of info on the area. The accommodation was spotless. Only tiny couple of things some instructions on working the coffee machine. I am sure if Hilde reads this she will do this as want to please her guests also their is a little road noise in bed. Food excellent, spotlessly clean, kitchen including free coffee machine, lovely lounge we stayed in the double room it was really nice loved the decoration and bathroom it's a chic vintage French style it was by far the best accommodation we stayed at whilst visiting Flanders. We are a couple but would be fab for a large family.

From the contact before arrival throughout the complete stay, Hilde was a terrific host. Not only very friendly but very open and flexible. The B&B is in superbe conditions with all you need. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. While on business, it is certainly a place for families with the family rooms and the layout of the kitchen and living room. The only downside, but that is personal, is the noise of the road just in front. I'm no longer used to this as spending time in hotels or the country side. I'm sure most will even don't hear this.
