Traditional English pub with lovely full English breakfast
Double beds were small
The area was beautiful and its close location to places.
The shower being unavailable
My room was light and well equipped. Breakfast was very good. My evening meal (not included) was of a very high standard and this was reflected in the price.
The car park was full but I was able to park there safely.
Great service on arrival, checked in before time. Very friendly and all information given was fantastic. Great value for money and a great peaceful place to get our heads down after a bust day. Great location to eyam hall where the wedding was. Clean, comfy and good sized room.
Excellent breakfast, good choice of beers, friendly staff
All good thanx
Clean and welcoming! Convenient location with good parking!
Very friendly staff. Comfy clean room. Beautiful food. Would recommend.
Good location and nice breakfast
Rooms need updating, we had a broken sink and dirty curtains in the bathroom.
Superschönes, traditionelles B&B in einem Jahrhundertealten Pub mit drei Geistern. Parkplatz direkt hinterm Haus, super Frühstück und super Dinner im Pub und alles in einer traumhaften Umgebung.
Betten waren etwas weich.
We really liked this place because it’s a great base for exploring different parts of the Eyam area. The place was clean and well looked after, and the staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We had a lovely experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the Eyam.
There's There was honestly nothing we didn’t like. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well organised, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again.
Lovely village with incredible backstory. Pub built in 1630 so lot of history, little corridors, steps etc, as expected. Morning staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast good, tasty and well cooked, no options offered but combinations of full English happily accommodated - properly cooked poached eggs a definite plus. GF cereal and bread for Ceoliac guest. Bed comfortable. Room large with plenty of drawer space and plug sockets. Fan provided in room already running on arrival (heatwave). Mirrored cabinet in bathroom to store toiletries so no balancing soap bag on top of toilet. Everything looked clean until...
Stair banister grubby. Hoover etc stored at bottom of stairs. Bedroom window half covered in a cracked plastic screen. Lovely voile curtain was dirty, hung on old curtain wire which was sagging in middle. Cobwebs on ceiling and ceiling light fitting. Fan covered in thick layer of dust, obviously not cleaned in many months/years (taken away to be cleaned as soon as it was pointed out). Wallpaper coming away from part of exterior wall (damp?). Plaster and paint crumbling in patches in same area on adjoining exterior wall - issue for asthmatics etc. No food service Sunday pm/Monday afternoon. Pub closed Monday afternoon had to use fire escape to gain entry (key provided). Very loud clientele Sunday evening.
Comfortable bed, clean room and good breakfast, served by friendly staff.
NA
Fantastic location as we were going to a wedding at Eyam Hall. A great little pub. Breakfast was cooked to perfection with high-quality produce. Bed was comfy and the heavy curtains ensured that the light was blocked out. The young lady who checked us in and out was very pleasant and helpful. Great car parking.
Absolutely beautiful place with amazing history
How can you not love this place
Peaceful beautiful location. Staff are polite and helpful. Lovely comfortable room.
Nothing
Very historic. Set in a gorgeous village. Decor and furnishings of a high standard and in keeping with the building. Every member of staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Service was of a high standard. Food was top class with an excellent variety on offer. Location was brilliant and lots of free parking - a joy! I hate having to park in some tight spots!
The whole experience was a joy. No improvements required.
Excellent food
Nothing
Breakfast was lovly food was really nice .
En-suite bathroom needed a bit of care
Absolutely brilliant staff are amazing pub is exceptionally clean toilets cleanest ive used in a pub well worth the stay .
Nothing too dislike.
Excellent evening meal and a very good breakfast. Being mid-week was not over crowded or noisy. Plenty of parking space.
Shower only 800mm square.
Breakfast and dinner were good
Lovely location and good atmosphere. Excellent service.
The evening meal was excellent plenty of choice & all top class ingredients freshly prepared. Not able to comment on breakfast as as we had an early start the next day, but on request we were provided with sandwiches to take away with us which were very tasty. The room was very well equipped with a very comfortable double bed & had an ensuite with shower which was small but adequate. There was also a fan provided for use as there was no air-con due to the age of the building
It wasn't an issue for myself & my daughter but the only access to the upstairs room was via a staircase -no lift- so those rooms wouldn't suit persons of limited mobility.
The staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful. Breakfast was excellent, with a good vegetarian option. It was very conveniently located for the festival I was attending in Grindleford, with parking at the rear of the property. In terms of value for money, the price inclusive of breakfast was surprisingly reasonable. I arrived during a heatwave, and there was a decent desktop fan in the room to help cool me down after a day outside.
I would happily stay again. It would be helpful, though, if an out of hours contact could be provided. The electrical circuit for the wall sockets tripped early on the first morning, but the general number for the premises just rang out. This meant the fan obviously stopped working, and I couldn't use the kettle. I decided to sit outside to keep cool for a while. Fortunately, one of the staff had arrived by this point and was able to resolve the issue. The only other (minor) detractions for me were: the tiny shower cubicle, which is going to be inevitable in older properties where en-suites have had to be squeezed into original rooms; and the only seating other than the bed being a hard wooden stool.
Excellent location accommodation and staff
The food was excellent especially the evening menu. Plenty of choice and very reasonably priced. Would recommend without hesitation. Staff very kind and helpful.
My only problem was the stairs to the bedroom. This is not a criticism of the accommodation but I am well into my eighties.
Location to Eyam Hall
Nothing to dislike
A real English pub at its best. Great Real Ale. The food was first class. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Absolutely lovely.
Delicious food, friendly staff
The mattress was very soft and may need changing
Very friendly staff Good breakfast
Very basic room, definitely not worth the money
Staff are excellent. The meals are generous portions and very tasty.
Stayed in room 2 and there is a constant humming sound from the kitchen fan below which disturbed my sleep. There was no shower head holder and the taps are not thermostatic so taking a shower was extremely difficult. Single bed was too soft so I slept on the floor. Bathroom main light is really bad!!!
Excellent evening meal and breakfast.
Room too warm
Great location friendly lovely food
The breakfast was excellent, cereal, toast, juice and a full English. We had an evening meal, Fish pie and a roast dinner, followed by cheesecake, which were all very tasty and good value, also a nice red wine at £18 a bottle. The staff are all very friendly and very professional, nothing too much trouble. The room was very clean and comfortable, tea, coffee, biscuits and sweets are in the room. They are very dog friendly, even though Booking. com, say no pets allowed.
The toilet in room 5 didn't flush very well, we meant to tell the staff, but didn't get around to it.
All ok
Bit tiered around the edges but still a great stay
Lovely tradition public house with lots of character in the peaceful Eyam village, if it’s a little peace and tranquility you are after then this is it
Home cooked food, very friendly and helpful staff, the village is also of great interest.
Location was good. Friendly staff. Breakfast was adequate.
Toiletries in the room weren't adequate. Spare furniture/towels were in the corridors leading to rooms.
Location good. Staff friendly. Room was clean. Breakfast was good
It was a bit tired. The beds & pillows were uncomfortable. The floor boards creaked, so loud as people moved in the night.
Lovely pub with rooms above - right in the centre of the village
Nothing
The location Eyam is a lovely village
Rooms are dated
Location, ambiance, friendly staff.
Very welcoming staff. Excellent breakfast and good evening meals
Curtains in bedroom needed some attention
Great staff and breakfast
Lovely old building, village location.
Nothing
Good room, lovely breakfast and dinner. Couldn't fault it!
As a solo traveller, I paid more for the whole twin twin room than my friends sharing a room paid for their whole room???
The breakfast was excellent with good vegan/vegetarian options. I had black coffee, so not sure if they have plant milk. The room was warm and comfortable, the shower was nice and warm :) Ample parking. Lovely staff.
Nothing. Everything was excellent!
Beautiful breakfast.
The rooms were very hot, although fans are provided. I think it's just a consequence of the thick walls in an old building.
The Miners arms are in an ideal spot to go walking straight from the door. Staff all very friendly. Food is very good and tasty and a lovely breakfast.
Bed could do with a new mattress, I felt like you were rolling off. Could do with better lighting in bathroom very slow to come on, just aswell we realised a light in the mirror.
The location food and friendly staff
The Bed was too small and the shower was poor but very clean room
Breakfasts was really good. Service with a smile!
The room was a little 'tired' decor-wise. But clean and cheery.
Single room. I turned the radiator down, due to the fact I don’t like a hot bedroom. Breakfast was lovely especially the poached eggs, everything you need. Only ate dinner there once, it was really good, the menu was varied something for everyone. A great location, bus stop 2 minutes away. The staff were lovely, helpful and professional, good bar and restaurant, plenty of room inside and outside.
Nothing really, a few areas that could be updated but a lovely, character building.
The room was immaculate the location was superb.
the radiator in the bedroom did not seem to work and the one the bathroom was a bit hit and miss. I could not get the shower to work at all.
The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and very hot on delivery to the table.
Great location, dog friendly, comfortable.
Lovely pub, good food . The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend.
The central areas near the bedrooms could do with a tidy up.
Geweldige lokatie, mooie accomodatie

Great location. Love old pub . Very comfortable and great food

Historic lovely location The staff were friendly and very accommodating. They understood I was a vegan and went the extra mile to make sure I had a great meal and breakfast. Relaxed atmosphere Dog friendly.

The food. The staff. The location. Very beautiful views and lovely walks and just lovely village. Food superb. Staff are really friendly and welcoming. Couldn't do enough for you. Will definitely go back again for a return visit. Love the history to the pub.
Nothing
Excellent location, lovely staff, great parking, charming inn.
Beautiful place to stay in the village. Polite staff, helpful and cooked breakfast excellent. No fat/ grease on the plate. Friend loved the way the mushrooms was cooked.
Nothing
I like the fantastic location. Food is lovely, especially the full English breakfast and staff are so friendly
Rooms are a little tired, and the seating area in the bar could do with a good clean. If staying for one night, though, this may not bother you.
Staff , especially one young lady in particular, who checked us in and was there at breakfast
Plumbing in ensuite, when toilet was flushed in.another room it gurguled up into our sink
Everything
Nothing
Excellent three course meal and beer as always.
Staff were very helpful and friendly and the food is great!
Staff were very friendly from the initial check in to the bar and restaurant staff. The pub itself was old and had lots of interesting pictures about the history of the village. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful.
The bed had springs that creaked when moving. The heating was constantly on which made the room very warm through the night.
This was our second stay at the Miners Arms, it is an old pub with a very warm welcome and cosy accomodation. The pub is known as the most haunted building in Eyam, however I slept like the dead so nothing could have disturbed me. Breakfast is included, and is excellent and we were served by a very friendly young waitress. We also returned after our walk for an excellent Sunday dinner. We were very happy once again.
a proper shower would have been good, but the bath tub was a nice size. No other issues.
Great location and nice food
Nothing
Eyam is a lovely village, full of history and with local shops and timely bus service. Pub itself is very traditional and clean. Very generous breakfast included, vegetarian option available. Warm even in February with extra heaters available.Single ensuite room was of good size. Kettle available, tea and voffee replenished daily.
As expected of a very old building it was rather accoustic with thin walls and the build-in shower water heaters bit noisy. My room faced carpark and occassionaly directly in reach of kitchen fumes.
Pretty much everything, my only gripe and it is a very minor one, is that the bathroom was a bit tight, however I am of larger than average size. Staff are very friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent. Overall a very pleasant stay and great value for money.
Warm friendly staff
Lovely, quiet location, great staff, tasty food, room cosy and warm.
NA
Excellent location in heart of historic Eyam village. Comfortable night's sleep. Good cooked breakfast. Strong hot shower. Basic toiletries provided which was nice. All together good value.
Room immediately overlooked by car park and would benefit from a net or similar at the window for better privacy. Kettle wasn't working. I didn't raise it as I didn't know until the morning. No socket near the bed. Wall adjacent to bed needs a paint refresh. Bath towel and not sheet but no Biggie. Some music noise (from the pub below) but not too bad and not for long.
The room was spotless, staff welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. Also a lot of interesting history to learn about the property!
It was all good
Breakfast excellent, room nicely fitted out, helpful staff. Our room was over the bar so there was noise below us till 11 pm, then silence. Dinner good pub food and good value.
The breakfast timing suited us but it’s pretty short (8.30-9.15). There could be a simple wine list to go with the dinner menu even though most diners got beers or other drinks from the bar.
Breakfast was great, and the room and pub was very cosy and warm so nice when you have just been on a nice cold winter walk.
Room was clean, bed comfortable slept like a baby, delicious breakfast
Nothing !
Room was very clean and warm as the weather was really cold, very rustic charm and appearance, staff were very friendly and helpfu Breakfast was amazing very tasty and quality ingredients and cooked perfect
Food menu could have blhad a bit more variety however thats me being picky, I had the fish and chips so did my wife and it was delicious cooked perfectly
After a warm welcome, my stay was great from the start to the finish, excellent food, beer, accommodation and the friendly staff, wonderful.
Leaving.
Breakfast and evening were very good. Good value evening meal. Great location.
