The location could not be better! Teresa, the owner, was so very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and breakfast was excellent.

The best was the location, but you have to work to get there. Upon entering the castle walls,stay to the left and follow the castle walls and you will come to it. Otherwise, you will wander through the very narrow streets and get lost.

Die Toplage. In 6 min ist man am Ziel. Genug kostenfreie Parkplätze. Das Abendessen (Buffet) konnte problemlos hinzugebucht werden. Es war sehr gut und lecker. Man konnte auch à la carte essen. Das Serviceteam war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.

The View.

We stayed one night at Dom Dinis Marvão and found the experience notably different from what the very high online ratings had led us to expect. The property functions more as a traditional bed and breakfast than a hotel, and its age — said to be over 200 years — is felt immediately: steep staircases, tight spaces, and rooms shaped entirely by the limitations of the structure. Our room (Nr. 16) was small and crowded with heavy, old furniture, leaving only a narrow passage around the bed. The air conditioning had not been turned on before our arrival, and even running continuously through a hot Alentejo night, the temperature never dropped below 23°C. The mattress was fine; the pillows were thin. Outdoor areas were minimal: a tiny garden with rusting patio furniture and a hot tub reached by another steep set of steps. Both seemed more aspirational than inviting. Breakfast — frequently praised in reviews — was unexpectedly basic: pre made urn coffee, store bought juices, cold hard boiled eggs, and a low quality selection of ham and cheese. The owner was pleasant and offered dining suggestions, though most restaurants in the village cater to tourists and are priced accordingly. More reasonable options require driving down the mountain. These are simply the details of our stay. Dom Dinis may suit travelers who enjoy rustic simplicity in a very old building, but those expecting a polished hotel experience should adjust expectations.

La struttura è ricavata in un antico edificio all'interno delle mura del paese. Il borgo è piccolo e racchiuso nelle mura, molto affascinante. Il parcheggio pubblico è a fianco. La camera è sufficientemente spaziosa, molto pulita, con balconcino con splendida vista sulla pianura sottostante (siamo a circa 800 mt di alttudine). Staf molto disponibile e gentile. Ottima colazione a buffet.

Tudo muito bom, localização é o ponto alto. Quarto com cama muito confortável. São pet friendly e muito receptivos aos hóspedes de 4 patas. Café da manhã bom. Marvão é mágico e o hotel só confirma isso. Se não dormir, não conhecerá o local, pois a noite se transforma. E vale demais ir ao castelo.

Só senti falta de uma cafeteira com cápsulas no quarto, no mais tudo perfeito.

Ubicació immillorable al costat del castell i amb facilitat per aparcar a tocar de l'hotel. Destaquem especialment l'amabilitat i atenció de tot el personal, que a més va tenir un detall preciós amb la nostra gossa. Un lloc ideal per viatjar amb mascota. Molt recomanable

O meu quarto não apanhava muita rede, foi nos alertado para colocarmos a rede mesma do hotel e nós fizemos isso, mas assim mesmo era fraca.

Два момента случились очень неприятных. Первый: я забронировала джакузи, мы с ребенком ждали. Но когда пришли оказалось, что оно совершенно холодное:( То есть клиентам все улыбаются, но забывают о них напрочь. И второе: номера старые. в номере есть цепочка для закрытия двери изнутри. Она металлическая. Я ее на ночь закрыла, а открыть…минут 20 не могла. Под рев ребенка, вся в поту, я пыталась разгадать как ее раскрутить, чтобы она удлинилась и я смогла ее головку вынуть из паза. Это было ужасно. Ловушка.

El alojamiento muy cuidado, el personal muy amable. La cama cómoda y con calidad en la lencería. El desayuno buenísimo. El único inconveniente es que estaba roto el jacuzzi y el agua estaba un poco fría. Por lo demás ninguna pega, sin duda un lugar con mucho encanto

The views were beautiful, the location was great and the breakfast had a lot of choices for everyone to be able to enjoy it.

A única coisa a apontar foi o jacuzzi não estar a funcionar. O que é o que nos atraiu a or para este alojamento. Mas deram nos a hipótese de usar o do estabelecimento da frente o que foi bom.

The view was spectacular from our room. Sunset spectacular. Our room was overall great except for the things mentioned below. The staff in general is nice and helpful.

The cleaning people decided to shake the carpets in the room balcony next to ours while we were resting on our balcony. In addition, the bed on top was full of dust, indicating that the room was not properly cleaned. Our bed sheets the first day were full of dirty spots. We did get clean sheets the second night. The breakfast is average. There was no proper shower stall in our room but a standing bathtub with no shower curtains, etc. So, water all over the bathroom while showering. No privacy on our balcony. People walking right by to use the public area for hotel guests with Jacuzzi with some additional noise created next to us. Streets to drive to property inside medieval walls are very narrow and can be very difficult to navigate.

Todo estaba perfecto, muy cómodo y nos pusieron muchas facilidades para reservar la cena y el horario del jacuzzi. Además nos dejaron un desayuno tipo picnic muy rico ya que nos teníamos que ir antes de la hora del desayuno.

La stanza presentava vari difetti: muri scrostati, presenza di formiche al risveglio e frigo bar nella stanza al piano terra non funzionante -caldo.

Gostamos imenso da localização, da limpeza dos quartos eda simpatia dos funcionários.

Emplacement magnifique et accueil adorable dans ce petit hôtel au sommet du village. La réception s’est chargée pour nous de réserver le restaurant du soir. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et délicieux. Nous avons profité du jacuzzi et les enfants l’ont beaucoup apprécié.

La terrasse est très petite et plutôt réservée aux utilisateurs du jacuzzi.

Super établissement où nous aurions adoré rester une nuit de plus! Super localisation avec parking à deux pas, chambres très confortables, personnel aux petits soins que ce soit a la réception (merci Julia!) ou pour le petit déjeuner. Et le jacuzzi avec cette vue incroyable, que du bonheur !

Súper limpio y un ambiente buenísimo, el baño da gusto utilizarlo. La ubicación un 10 y nada más llegar nos recomendaron qué hacer y dónde comer, incluso reservaron por nosotros. Volveremos pronto.

Das Frühstück war großartig; auch für Frühstücksmuffel! Alles frisch und lokal und gerade, wenn man es auf der Terrasse verspeist... Die Ausstattung war sehr exquisit, Marmor, Holz...

Das groß angekündigte Wasser aus der Quelle aufs Haus hat sehr muffig gerochen, unser Zimmet war sehr eng, aber für eine Nacht war es in Ordnung.

Excellent place to stay, close to everything, quiet and lovely views. Nice cafe and bar across from accommodation and restaurants close by. Didn’t use the hot tub but others were getting use out of it. Parking close by for motorcycle

El desayuno increíble con todo cuidado de detalles. En especial me gusto el queso tradicional que ponen, se notaba que era de la zona, y las mermeladas de higos y todas caseras. Las vistas Preciosas !! La terraza por la noche nos brindó una luna preciosa y unas vistas panorámicas increíbles!! Al llegar nos recibió Julia, muy elegante clara y amable.

Ninguna queja. Todo estupendo. Solo decir que no encontramos el tapon de la bañera de hidromasaje y era tarde para preguntar.

Breakfast was basic and the staff at breakfast spoke no english and seemed a little rude and generally unhelpful. The terrace area / spa was disappointing, though the views are stunning the fake faded flowers and old furniture was not inviting at all. The swarms of bugs everywhere ( no fault of the owners obviously), apparently due to the heatwave.

L'emplacement, avec un parking gratuit a côté de l'hôtel. L'accueil chaleureux du personnel et les bons conseils pour le dîner. Nous avions une chambre avec vue sur montagne, un cadre exceptionnel surtout au levé du soleil.

Bien que la présence d'un jacuzzi nous ai enchanté, celui-ci était tiède. La climatisation ne fonctionnait pas très bien dans la chambre.

The location of the property is outstanding at the top of the escarpment near the castle overlooking everything. The views from the hotel are fantastic and the hotel’s hot tub is an added benefit, however, you must schedule it. It is near most of the village’s restaurants and it is in an historic building with character.

The 250 year old building means that the hotel’s stone stairs are uneven and difficult for anyone with a disability. The same is true of the floors which are uneven. Much of the furniture is old which is fine but some was uncomfortable to sit in. Marvao is small and accommodations are limited. This means that they are expensive and so is this hotel for what you get but the view made it worth it for us. Because the hotel is at the top of the village, you must drive through the village gates and up very narrow and steep one lane, but 2 way, roads which can be exciting in a rental car.

O ambiente familiar e a zona próxima ao castelo. Pequeno almoço razoável.

Atribuíram 4 quartos com cama de casal para todos, sendo que na reserva foi pedido que só 2 dos 5 quartos tivessem cama de casal. A justificação foi que na reserva pelo Booking atribuem automaticamente camas de casal sem questionar o cliente e que se a reserva tivesse sido feita diretamente poderiam ter costumizado. Os quartos do piso da recepção tinham bastante humidade e por isso eram incómodos e a portada da janela nao fechava num deles o que levou a que se tivesse de dormir com a luz do candeeiro da rua.
