Reviewed Sep 11, 2026We really wanted to spend a night or two in traditional Japanese setting - tatami and futon. All hotels this type were either bad-looking or too expensive for our budget. We were so surprised when we arrived at Saik - the smell, the cleanliness, traditional Japanese style, super friendly staff who helped us to check in and even recommended some restaurants. And all of this for very affordable price. If I were to visit Kanazawa once more, I would definitely go for this exact stay again!

2階の方の音が少しきになりましたが、すぐに静かになったんで安心しました。洗濯機使用したのでおわるまで3時間以上かかりおわるまで寝れなかったので大変でした。

Beauty del bagno super accessoriato, the verde da gustare sul tavolino in camera, letti comodissimi, lavatrice e asciugatrice molto utile in viaggio e yucata in dotazione per la notte. Check in a distanza, ma seguito benissimo con il telefono in reception e staff gentile: ci ha chiamato taxi ed e’ stato gentile di persona il giorno dopo l’arrivo. Vicinissimo a tutti i punti principali d’interesse ( 10 minuti a piedi). Assolutamente 10 a questo riokan: lo consiglierei a tutti!

Struttra localizzata in zona periferica, affaccia su una strada di grande scorrimento, risultando quindi molto rumorosa. Scarsa comprensione e capacità di parlare inglese da parte dello staff che deve usare continuamente il traduttore. PAZZESCO SISTEMA DI CHECK IN che complica terribilmente le cose.

Reviewed Jun 8, 2026é uma estadia bem imersiva na cultura japonesa, com toda a temática de ryokan. o quarto é espaçoso e aconchegante. os banheiros são novos, e bem limpos, o chuveiro também é bom. quando chegamos havia um funcionário para nos receber e foi incrivelmente simpático e prestativo, mesmo falando pouco inglês. o café da manhã tem pouca opção mas é muito fresco e bom, tem pães, fruta, iogurte. tem ponto de ônibus bem próximo ao hotel

Reviewed May 23, 2026Very pretty house. We were looking for something more traditional in Kanazawa and this hotel was just perfect. The room smells very nice and looks traditional but new. It has very comfortable and climatic beds. We had a small garden where we could relax on a chair. The localization was perfect for us. Straight bus from main station. Very close to restaurants, old Nishi Chaya District and lively Katamachi street. The breakfast was tasty, everyday something different. We really loved our time in Kanazawa.

Reviewed May 6, 2026水月に泊まりました。ガーデンビューで清潔感と落ち着く部屋で快適に過ごせました。 シャワーのみの設備のため、徒歩10分ほどのスーパー銭湯を利用しました。近場に銭湯があるのはありがたかったです。すぐ近くの忍者寺「妙立寺」もお勧めです
2階からの他の宿泊部屋の音が気になりましたが、夜はぐっすり寝れました。

We had a little green garden, which you can only look at, not really go outside. Very nice shower and bathroom.There is also a common area to eat and relax.
For 4-5 people there isn't a lot of space to put your luggage.

Reviewed Mar 28, 2026The location is walking distance to the temple district, samurai district, the smaller of two geisha districts, and Katamachi (which is the heart of the city. It was a contactless check-in through video chat. The instructions on how to check in/out were very clear. Breakfast is available for a small fee- just enough to get you started for the day. Room was traditional Japanese, but upgraded with nice amenities. Futons were comfy and came with thick, cozy blankets. It was perfect for us:)
I could have used more than one coffee with breakfast.

Staff disponibile e soprattutto che parlava correttamente inglese. Abbiamo avuto difficoltà ad accedere alla struttura ma lo staff ha reagito prontamente e siamo riusciti a comunicare
Nulla da segnalare. Appena fuori dal centro, ma comunque i maggiori luoghi di interesse erano raggiungibili da fermata dell'autobus lì vicino. Per raggiungere la stazione soprattutto se ci sono orari da rispettare consiglio l'utilizzo di un taxi

Reviewed Dec 31, 2025Loved this property. Great location just outside of the busy parts of Kanazawa. It was clean and provided all the things you needed for a great nights stay. Although there was no staff on site this didn’t cause any hassle. Check in was done over video and was very easy and check out was very easy too. The beds were super comfy and showers felt like you were in a spa due to the wooden walls and very warm heat, which I loved. There is a shared kitchen which we didn’t use but nice to know there was one. A great hotel for a group. The interiors felt like a beautiful nod to traditional Japanese. The hotel felt very clean also.
I have no negatives.

We really wanted to like this property, since we’ve stayed at other Machiya Inn locations and had good experiences, but this stay was very disappointing. The location is far from central Kanazawa and added about forty minutes of travel to get anywhere we wanted to go. The room itself was uncomfortable. We’re familiar with Japanese style beds, but the mattresses here were extremely thin. The windows did not open, and the overall space felt closed in. Check in was also difficult. You have to use a computer and video screen to reach someone, and it took several attempts before we were finally connected. When we asked for help with the air conditioning, we were told to review the manual ourselves rather than receiving any assistance. In the end, we checked out after a few hours because we couldn’t spend the night. We’re now waiting for the property to respond regarding a refund for the unused nights.

Non vicinissimo al centro (10 minuti di autobus, fermata a due minuti dalla struttura)

Beetje een gekke online check-in. Geluid staat erg hard waardoor je andere mensen ook hoort in checken als je op de kamer bent.

Reviewed Sep 9, 2025Super cute and modern Japanese style hotel. The building was a former machiya so the architecture was very cool. The staff also helped me with restaurant reservations.
The wifi didn’t work on my second night.

Reviewed Aug 24, 2025Location particolare ed una bella esperienza da fare in gruppo. La colazione era ottima ed abbondante. Nonostante l’ambiente piccolo, i letti erano molto spaziosi e ti garantivano un minimo di privacy.
Spazi un pó piccoli ma ne sei consapevoli quando prenoti.

Reviewed Aug 18, 2025他の客に接触がなかった。 チェックインもモニター対面で、簡単にできた。立地場所も良く、駐車場も近くで確保できた。
モーニングのパンが少し硬かったので、86歳の父には食べづらかった。パンの種類を選べれれば良かったと思う。
